1) yes, the new lenovo came installed but I uninstalled it and reinstalled from the disc that came with the computer.
2) Win 7 on a 64 bit system
3) yes I did use the serial number, however the system did not ask for activation as that option was grayed out under Help.

That's correct.
Acrobat 8 is the earliest version from which you can upgrade to Acrobat XI

To install Windows you can use Boot Camp Assistant or use a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox. You can't install Windows as you described in your post.

iTunes, Safari, App Store, etc. behaves as though there is no internet connection. Loading bar on Safari is frozen, iTunes can't access Gracenote for burning CD's. Google Chrome works perfectly fine, Guitar Pro works fine, Evernote works. I've never encountered this problem before. I've tried restarting the computer, shutting it down and turning it on again, and looking for answers on Google. Can anyone here help with this?

You should be able to connect via Ethernet, and that method is simpler than debugging wireless.

What exactly do you mean by "still no Internet? "
Sometimes you can be connected perfectly well, but problems with Domain Name Servers (DNS) can keep you from loading Web pages.
Try this "litmus test". Get your Ethernet connection green light. Enter this in your browser:

if you get to Apple, Inc, you are properly connected.

If the symbolic name does NOT connect you to Apple, Inc, you have a Domain Name Server (DNS) problem.

Henryo82506079 have you ran the installer after the download has completed? By default the installation files are downloaded to the download folder.

We might want to have a look at the install logs to determine the cause.
Please try the following basic steps :
> Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref : http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
> Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
> Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

and use your Adobe ID to license the software.

When I start Acrobat the related window opens normally but, after some scroll up and down along the document, it blocks, Acrobat doesn't respond to any command I can give and, in place of the pointer arrow, a vertical bar, as the one of the text editor appears. The only way I can stop Acrobat is by means of the task manager. I tried to de-install and the re- install Acrobat but the behaviour is always the same. What can I do??

Have you opened Acrobat and gone to Help>Updates to get an updated install?
