Disc warrior error code 2153,4903

Hi,
I am desperate in need of help.  I have 1TB Seagate Backup Plus portable drive, where I saved all my kids pics on it, by accident I pulled out the drive before properly "ejecting" it.  Now it is no longer recognized by my Mac air (newest version).  I couldn't verify/repair it, keeps giving me this error message "some information is missing during internal look up".  Then I purchased Disc Warrior software but I am having problem with it.
First I dowloaded the file, then drag the DiskWarrior icon to my desktop.  I got to the step where it gives you two options GRAPH or REBUILD.  I clicked on the REBUILD button then few minutes later I got this error "The disk is still in use.  Quit all other applications, or restart from the Disc Warrior disc, and then try rebuilding again.  Code (2153,4903).
At this point, I don't know what to do.  Any suggestion would be very appreciated.  PLEASE HELP!!! I can't lose all of my kids pictures
thank you

Thank you so much  Csound 1 !!!
This solved my problem.

  • Blu-Ray player won't burn a disc. Error Code "0"

Hi all, haven't made the jump to CC so we are using CS6 for everything.
I just recently installed a SSD and deleted/fresh install of the CS6 suite onto the newly wiped internal HD. Everything works perfect, except Encore.
Encore is refusing to burn to a DVD. I have been using CS6 since it went public and I have never once had this issue for a Blu-Ray or a DVD. Now, it won't even recognize that a disc is in the burner. It keeps saying to put in a DVD or a Blu-Ray DVD, hit OK etc. I do this, repeatedly, to no avail. Now I have tried creating a Blu-Ray Image which works perfectly fine. However I couldn't get that Image to burn succesfully to a blu-ray. Now it burnt without an issue, (using windows default burner which may be the issue), but when put into the blu-ray player it is just a black image with no menus or anything.
Back to Encore, It will trans-code the files without incident, it's when it goes to the burning session it will not accept any disc I put in. This is for both a Blu-Ray and a regular DVD. I keep getting Error Code "0" or simply, "insert a blu ray or dvd media disc an hit OK". Occasionally I got "Adobe Encore Failed" and that is it. Not sure what to do. I've been trying to burn since this morning.
I gave in and bought Nero 2015 just now in the hopes I can burn the blu-ray image correctly. Do I have any other options as this needs to be done today as I have to be an event tomorrow.
    Thank you!
    Jason

Adding to that, I am not getting the message "The Device Is Not Ready" and you can hit Retry and endless number of times with no results. Or just cancel and then it says Building Failed. Thoughts?

  • Burn Disc Error Code 0x8020063

I've been trying to burn photo files onto a disc for the past 4 days. Initially I was attempting to burn raw photos to a disc and ended up converting the images to JPEG. I've tried using Finder, iPhoto and Apeture and all three programs give me the same error message "This disc could not be verified and might be unrediable. Try again using a new, blank disc. (Error Code 0x80020063)" - I've gone through 8 or 9 blanks discs so far on two separate computers. Any suggestions

Have you tried a different brand of discs? Have you tried cleaning the drive's lens?

  • Error code Ox8002006E

When I try to burn discs the error code Ox8002006E comes up in the middle of burning and it stops. I don't think it has anything to do with the discs as I tried at least 6 and I have not had this problem before. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and how they solved it? I was thinking it might simply be a matter of cleaning the drive with a repair disc.

No, neither means your drive is failing. Unfortunately, some of the SuperDrives (and ComboDrives) used in Apple machines are very picky about the type of media you use. Of course, if you want to have the folks at the Genius bar look at your machine, by all means do so.
The best thing to do is keep trying media till you find one that works--which you seem to have done--and then try out different burn speeds to see which one your machine likes best.

  • Disc verification error - drive replaced still have issue

I constantly get an error message that says: This disk could not be verified and might be unreliable. Try again using a new, blank disc. (Error code 0x80020063)
I took it to Apple and they replaced it with the same Matsushita UJ-868 drive on my MacBook Pro (Late 2008). I kept getting the same error, so I reformatted, and the error went away temporarily. I then got it again after a few burns. I reformatted again, and this time the error was still there.
Any ideas? I plan to take it back, but I don't know what Apple will do. Is this a software issue I can resolve at home? Please help.

I am having exactly the same problem. I'm not sure what to suggest, but would be up for any answers like you

  • DVD error code

I recently tried to burn a few DVD-R's (verbatium) and had the following error code after half way through the burn process...
This disc could not be verified and might be unreliable.Try again using a new, blank disc.(Error Code 0x80020063)
    and
Burning the disc failed because communication to the disc drive failed. (Error Code 0x80020022)
The first error code is kind of self explanatory but should that be happening quite frequently?
With regards to the second error why would that happen?
    Many thanks in advance

  • Disk Warrior error: "The Disk is still in use ( 2153, 4903)"  HELP!

Thought my Mac HD was fine but I ran Disk Warrior V4.0 on my Tiger drive from an external FW 800 drive with a sandbox bootable clone done by SuperDuper and I got this error message:"The Disk is still in use ( 2153, 4903)"
    Has anyone seen this?

Have you tried running it booted from your MacPro?

  • Error code 2154 when using disk warrior

I have a problem with one of the volumes with in my mac so i bought, disk warrior. When I go to rebuild I get an error which word for word says:
The directory of the disk Macintosh HD cannot be rebuilt.
There is not enough memory. Restart from the disk warrior disc and try rebuilding again. If you report this error. Please mention the error code (2154).
Please can someone help and tell me what I have to do next as i have no idea.

thanks for the reply, i did get on to tech support and the told me how to boot up from another mac, i did as they said and the volume repair was successful, I thought the volume repair was the cause of my mac switching itself off, it only stays on if the power cable is constantly plugged in as soon as i pull the power cord a few minutes later it switches off. Any ideas?

  • Why is the Error Code 0x8002006E While Burning the Disc?

Hey there! I don't seem to get through this Issue. I was trying to burn content to a Disc and it failed with the error code 0x8002006E, while the process was almost complete. I came across a few forums and nothing helped much to resolve this problem. Is there someone who knows the exact cause? Is this is a known-issue or anything already being addressed by Apple? Or a work-around to get this resolved? because i also read (did not try) that no third-party applications, as an alternative, solved this Issue. Disappointed! Help!

    I found this article excerpt:
The few solution that where found where by calling at Apple and get technical support. There are a few solutions that might work.
The first one would be Go to users > your computer name / user name > library > Preferences > com.apple.finder.plist and delete this file. Also it’s advised to keep the burn speed at 8x.
The second solution found that Apple technical support gave is to unplug everything, including the AC power cord and then remove the battery. Press the power button for 10 seconds without replacing the battery or attaching the AC power cord and after the 10 seconds are up replace the battery. After the battery is in slot hold down the following keys with the left hand: Option + Apple (command) + R and with the right hand hold down the following keys: P + Power Button. You will need to hold all 5 of these buttons at the same time until you hear both sets of startup chimes Release all of the 5 buttons after you hear the two startup chime sounds.
    Hope this helps

  • The disc can't be burned because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0x80020000).

Hello - I am receiving this error code on all my Apple computers (iMac and MacBook) which have the most current Mac OS X 10.6.7. I'm a photographer and burn CDs frequently and out of the blue began having issues two days ago:
The disc can’t be burned because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0x80020000).
What is the remedy? Is it related to a recent update or will there be an update to fix? Since it's not simply one computer, gathering it's not the burn drive but software related...
FYI - Yes I've tried other brands of disk, etc. however, this is a part of my daily work-flow and have had no issues till a couple days ago.
Thank you all and any for your time in assisting!!

Same here. I bought a macbook pro in march. Now I got this error. And I'm from Brazil... Not speak english very well, but tried to explain what happens with my new macbook (that can't burn DVD)...
    Please, could you help me?
    thanks

"I also use the application "Clean My Mac" at least ounce a month to rid it of all unwanted or unneeded files, which also is supposed to keep my Mac running at optimum speed, just as a by-the-way."
There is your problem right there!!!
CleanMyMac is complete and total paid ""garbageware"!!!!
You may have irreparably damaged/corrupted and/or deleted important/needed system and  OS X operational files using CleanMyMac.
You can try and use this uninstaller to completely uninstall CleanMyMac, but the damage to your system may have already happened and has been done
since you readily admit to using this garbageware regularly on your Mac.
Here is the proper way to uninstall both CleanMyMac and CleanMyMac2.
    http://macpaw.com/support/cleanmymac-classic/knowledgebase/how-to-uninstall-clea nmymac-classic
    http://macpaw.com/support/cleanmymac/knowledgebase/how-to-uninstall-cleanmymac-2
Make sure which version of CleanMyMac you are using and pick the correct uninstaller.
Do you run any other so-called hard drive "maintenance" or "cleaning" apps or any type of commercial antivirus softwares?
If you do, you need to search the web to find out how to correctly and properly uninstall these types of apps.
You now may need to get yourself another external hard drive, purchase and use a data cloning app, such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper to create a exact bootable clone of your Mac's internal hard drive to a new external hard drive.
Then erase and reformat your boot drive and do a complete, clean reinstall of you OS X system, system and security updates as well as  a complete reinstall of all of your applications and updates.
Let this be a very important lesson to you!
Apps like MacKeeper or any other maintenance apps like CleanMyMac 1 or 2, TuneUpMyMac, MacCleanse or anything like these apps, installed on your Mac, while they appear to be helpful, can do too good a job of data "cleanup" causing the potential to do serious data corruption or data deletion and render a perfectly running OS completely dead and useless leaving you with a frozen, non-functional Mac.
Plus, these type of apps aren't really necessary OR needed. They really aren't.
There are manual methods to clear off unnecessary data off of your Mac that are safer and you have complete control over your Mac and not just leave a piece of auto cleaning software in charge of clearing off data off of your Mac. Their potential of causing OS X issues outweighs the implied good and benefits these types of hard drive or memory "cleaning" apps are written to do.
These types of  system 'cleaning" apps are very poorly written and are really a scam to rob newbie and novice Mac users of their hard earned cash for a poorly written maintenance program that will do much more harm to a perfectly normal running OS X system than the good that the app developers purport these types of apps will do.
Plus, the software companies that write these apps make it hard to easily uninstall these apps if something DOES go wrong and these apps work in a way where you have no recovery or revert function to return your Mac back to its former, working state in the event something does go wrong.
It is best to never, EVER download and install these types of apps.
The risk to your system and important data is too great a risk!
Here is a proper and manual methodology to "cleaning" data off of your Mac.
Here are some general tips to keep your Mac's hard drive trim and slim as possible
You should never, EVER let a conputer hard drive get completely full, EVER!
With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your Mac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto or Aperture, both have its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you are an iMovie user, iMovie has its own individual Trash location that needs to be emptied, too!
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Look through your other Mailboxes and other Mail categories to see If there is other mail you can archive and/or delete.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
To find other large files, download an app called Omni Disk Sweeper.
    http://www.omnigroup.com/more
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
    http://www.titanium.free.fr/downloadonyx.php
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.

  • Recovery disc error code: 0xe0ef000e

Back in December I started getting warning messages about my SMART Drive failing and was told to create recovery disks for my Pavilion dv-7 Notebook, which I did. A few weeks ago the hard drive crashed and I replaced it. When I went to recovery page my disks did not work and I received the following error code: 0xe0ef000e. I looked on HP support website and saw where I could order new recovery disks which I attempted to do and they are not available. So I have a 2 year old $1000 laptop for which I just bought a new $100 hard drive and it's unuseable. Any suggestions on what to do next?

    Hi,
There are a couple of options.
    1.  You could try the reliable 3rd party reseller Here.
    2.  Here's an alternative ( and cost free ) option you could try.
Before trying the following, make sure you can still read the 25 Character Product Activation key on your Windows COA label ( 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric sets ).
An example of a COA Label can be seen Here.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your notebook ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  These Images are clean and from a well-respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
    Windows 7 Images.
Use the disc to perform the installation, enter the Windows activation key found on the COA Label when requested and when the installation has completed, use the 'Phone Method' detailed in the link below to activate the OS - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who just want a clean installation of Windows 7 without the additional software load normally bundled with OEM installations.
    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-windows-7-by-phone.aspx
Any additional drivers and software you may need can be found by entering either your Model No. or Product No. Here.
