  • HT4623 I have agreed to terms of use and privacy and I still can not buy things

I want to buy music and apps, but it keeps saying I need to agree to the term of use and privacy and I have agreed but will not let me buy music or apps? I sure could use some help

There must be a problem with the app store right now as a number of people seem to be having this problem right now.  Try purchasing it using iTunes on your computer, accept the terms and conditions there, then either sync it to your phone or download it on your phone as a past purchase (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).  If this doesn't work you'll have to try again later when the problem is fixed.

  • Maximum number of connection profiles and group policies for Cisco ASA

    Hi,
We have a Cisco ASA 5520 running 8.0(2) that we use only for Remote Access VPN.
Does anyone know how many connection profiles and group policies that are supported on the box? I have not been able to find this in the manual.
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best regards,
    Harry

There is no limit for connection profiles or group policies that can be configured on ASA. However the numbers do depend upon the memory available in the device as the profiles are stored in memory during execution.

  • Best security and privacy settings for Yosemite

I have recently upgraded to Yosemite and started thinking about security and privacy. So I had a look around hoping to find an article or something telling me what I should do to various settings to make sure that everything is okay. I did find some information but bits of it were beyond my understanding and I did want to do anything  in case I messed anything up. Like I saw about FileVault but then went I went to use it I was asked if I wanted to use iCloud with it or not, but I didn't know which option to go for so I left it. Obviously I have a password and Firewall turned on but just wondering if there was anything else I can do to protect everythin. I also read that Apple gets a lot of information from web searches and such. I really do t like the thought of thar. Can I do anything. I'm sorry if this seems really basic but I would appreciate any advice anyone can give or point me in the direction of.

  • Can i use and old ipod for time machine backups?

i've reformatted the ipod and enabled it for use as a hard drive. will it work with time machine? time machine doesn't seem to be recognizing it...

Generally I wouldn't rely on the iPod for backing up because of how power and caching is taken care of on the iPod. Small files is one thing. But the spin up and down of the iPod can make backups unreliable if done of a system as a whole.

  • Poor Security Metrics and none policies for Sybase Plugin

    Hi.
I found out that the Sybase Plugin for Grid Control is mostly focused on performance metrics and alerts and I need a more deep intrusion on security matters.
How can I create metrics or policies for Sybase Targets? or if not, would it be considered on future versions??
    Thanks

Downgrade your routers firmware to the last known working version by going here.  Now give it a try.

  • Which MacBook Pros are safe to buy used and not recalled for video graphics/display failure (due to overheating)?

I've had some bad luck with MacBook Pros lately. I bought a 2010 model but it was effectively a Total Loss because of a vehicle accident. From searching with Google, people have reported logic board failures. Who knows if mine would've failed, too.
Then I bought an older 2009 MacBook Pro and that eventually failed due to the graphics chip failure. There was a recall on it but the problem occured JUST after the recall period expired. I don't have a microwave solder lying around or a proper setup to fix the problem myself.
Now, I im in the market for a used MacBook Pro, as a gift (I can't afford a new one right now) (with the luck I have, I'm basically done with them but the person wants one).
I've seen some 2011 models priced quite attractively, which caused me to do a quick check and find that the (early) 2011 models also have video graphic failures. I don't get it. I understand paying for the name, but the name also has to have reliability and you don't hear about video graphics failures from some of the more well known PC manufacturers..just saying.
I'd strongly prefer to not purchase any retina models, if at all possible. I want a mechanical SATA HDD and an optical drive. I oppose proprietary components -- as I understand it, the retina models make it nearly impossible to upgrade.
Which used MacBook Pros are safe for purchase? In other words, which ones do not have recalls or are susceptible to video graphics/display failures? I don't want to put the money down for one, only to hear it kicked the bucket and it needs service and is out of warranty.
    Thank you for your time.

  • Using in-browser editing for Muse?

    Hi everyone,
I hope some of you can shed some light on this. I've been searching all morning for an answer online, without much success.
I am a Creative Cloud member and have access to the full package. I plan to get to grips with Adobe Muse so that I can create a website for my friend. I'm good at design but know nothing about code so Muse fits the bill for me.
I know that as a Creative Cloud subscriber, I am able to have 5 basic websites hosted, without having to pay anything else. I also understand the publishing to a temporary business catalyst site.
What I don't quite understand is this...
    1) Let's assume I create a website for my friend
    2) I publish it to the temporary site
    3) it's great. He wants it. He buys his own domain name and takes out his own Business Catalyst Basic host plan.
Is he able to then go into his own Business Catalyst site, edit the site through the in-browser editing function and then that to update my original files when I next go into Muse? If I don't get the update (because I now have nothing to do with the site, as it's his own host service), then that's OK...providing he can still make his basic updates.
The idea I have is that I could start creating simple websites for small businesses for a fee. Once designed, I would want to show them how to make small changes, through the in-broswer editing and then let them make their own small changes. If anything major was needed, I'd still have the original files, so could just do the work for them.
    Hope that makes sense.
Any help and guidance would be much appreciated and thanks for taking the time to read.
    Sebastian

    Hi sebastianhope81,
Yes, this is possible, although it's not quite evident on how to do it. Here's how:
You create the site in Muse and publish to a Business Catalyst temporary site.
Log in this site's Admin and go to Site Settings > Admin Users and add your customer as an Administrator of the site.
You go to http://www.businesscatalyst.com/partnerportal and log in with your Adobe ID.
Go to 'My Sites' and there you will find the above temporary site, and choose to Upgrade it.
In this form, choose 'Invoice My Customer Directly' and enter your customer's payment details (enter the same email address as the one in step 2).
What happens after these steps is that the customer is set up to pay for the site, and he is able to edit the site through in-browser editing. You are still the "partner" of this site, so whenever you choose to sync back the changes from the site to your .muse file, you are able to do so.
    Hope this helps.
    Irina

  • OVI Mail, terms of use pop-up

    Hi all
I have signed into my ovi mail this morning to find a pop up telling me that I have to accept the terms of use and privacy policy blah blah
When I hit accept nothing happens!
Now I cant access my emails
    Can anyone please help?
    Thank you

JoshuaACertain I would recommend that for your first step you try creating a new local administrator account and seeing if you experience the same difficulties.  If the behavior does not persist then it is likely that your file permissions may have become compromised under your original account.  This is likely resolvable but testing with a new local administrator account is the best step to help diagnose this.

  • BC Partner Admin Login and Terms of Use

I'm unable to login to all of my sites admin consoles. I agreed to the Terms of Use and now cannot login to any of my sites.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?  I'm able to login to my Partner Site but not my clients admin consoles.  Its seems BC is not allowing me to use the system because the Terms of Use but I agreed to the Terms of Use.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Chris Lewis

I am now able to access the clients admin consoles.  I was using Firefox with no luck... so I tried Safari which took me to the window which asked for my Date of Birth then asked me to accept the Terms of Use again. This corrected the issue but I'm unsure if Adobe Support corrected the issue or using Safari over Firefox corrected the issue.  I can now access the admin using both browsers.

  • Censored posts for made-up terms of use???

Can anyone tell me why my question about an apparent alteration and attempted deletion of personal user data following a snow leopard install violates this forum's Terms of Use?
Despite the first stated reason for censorship in the email below, there was NO discussion of unauthorized modification of Apple Products in my question.
My two deleted posts ONLY had questions about an unauthorized modification of personal User Data.
In addition the second post involved, although containing similar information, was most certainly NOT a duplicate.
This second post on this subject happened after I learned that Time Machine, by default, wouldn't ordinarily back-up this user data. It therefore had NO reference to potential issues with Time Machine and was posted in a more relevant topic area.
It was most definitely NOT a duplicate posting. I would have happily agreed to a removal of the first post on this subject since it was no longer relevant to that topic area.
I'd like to mainly understand why a question about data corruption and attempted deletion of user files isn't permissible here. (The duplicate posting excuse for deleting these is a fall-back/smoke-screen imho.)
Also I do have a need to publicly state how disappointed I am with Apple in the way such posts disappear. This is my first experience with Apple censoring information, but I've seen better moderation practices on amateur/not-for-profit run message-boards. For example, I have NO way of knowing whether modular747 is a moderator or not. So all users get is an email by an individual who seem appear to understand the post (let alone the Terms of Use**) and BANG, posts are deleted without even an email to that effect....really?
Really? Is this is the same Apple who has given me great customer service and has treated me as a reasonable human being, and consequentially a good repeat customer, with virtually every prior interaction I've had?
Not really expecting anything positive from this post - hopefully stimulate internal thinking within the moderators/Apple about how their actions impact their customers. But I fear Apple may already have grown too big for that.
modular747 posted "Re: Apple Removing Time Machine Backups of iPhone Custom Restore ?" in "Apple Removing Time Machine Backups of iPhone Custom Restore ?" on Oct 30, 2009 1:05:43 AM.
Apparently you missed the forum Terms of Use rules prohibiting discussion of unauthorized modifications of Apple products ("custom firmware") as well as duplicate posting.

That's a matter of personal and professional philosophy. As a customer who has a house and an office building full of Apple products, some of the experiences I've had here have been downright insulting.
I do remember your nickname and that you were upset about something, but I don't remember what it was. I have a couple of businesses myself. Out of about every 800 customers, I get good feedback from about 5 and bad feedback from 1. Those few bad responses are truly baffling. Because the customer doesn't understand shareware, or can't enter a registration code, I get accused of every vice under the sun. My response? I cheerfully issue a refund and Presto! They aren't my customer anymore.
A bad customer's money really isn't worth it. I don't care if they bad-mouth me to everyone they know. The other bad customers they know will stay away from me. The good customers they know might even be influenced by what they know about said bad customer's character and be attracted to my company.
I am sure Apple's experience is similar, albeit amplified by a few orders of magnitude.
It may be that Apple doesn't need or doesn't even want my business, but the converse is also true.
No, it's not. It it were, then Sun really would bought Apple for a song in 1995. Apple provides products and services you can't get anywhere else.
I may have no influence here, but I do make the buying decisions for my home and my company, and my experiences here have had a negative impact on my feelings about Apple in general.
You know, it's just a job. The moderators have a list of things they censor or moderate if someone complains about them. I don't know why you feel abused or insulted, but it certainly isn't personal. The moderators are just doing their jobs. Other member are just trying to help. If someone says something wrong, unfair, silly, or illogical, they are going to get called on it. That's just life in the free world.
