Disco new version gives more problem
In new version, Disco Viewer displays Row Number (only in Tabular) even you haven't selected it in Plus/Desktop. It takes space in print so if you want to print all columns in one page then you have to touch all reports before you run it. we have only 139 reports !!!!
One more thing..it wraps column even column has not been set as wordwrap.
e.g. if you have Item# like "00000000001234" then if there is no sufficient space for print, it prints "000000000012" in one line and remaining "34" in second line in pdf format. can you believe that?
This new version is really annoying. plz stay away from it !!!!!

I tried this option before but it didn't work. yeah i know PDF is better than HTML. There are lot of problems i'm facing with this version.
1> we can't print title on every page.
2>in XTAB report, left side column can't work as word wrap if right side data point has only one row.
that's means if you have "item description" on left side and qty on right side in XTAB report it will wraps item description column only when right side qty colum has more than one record for that perticualr item othewise it wont work.
3> big issue is row number , we can't control it.
4> we can set the width of column in viewer and also save it but when you open next time you will have to set width agian.
guyz try with one wide XTAB report, you will see many problems. in earlier version it printed fine without any touch.

Turn off repeat message alert here:
settings > notifications > messages > repeat alert > never

after downloading new version of Firefox 4 I am unable to use touch pad for scrolling. I have tried installing and uninstalling the new version but this problem has always been occuring. I do not know how to fix this problem so I always return to the old version.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

Yes, from my understanding any Install of the CS5, even a trial version Installs the 10.1 (beta/prerelease) versions. It is not clear to me or others why the 10.1 was used in the CS5 instead of the latest version (10.0.45.2). My only guess is that the 10.1 is very close to being released as a shipping version (final release) to the public. The 10.1 had a target date of the first half of 2010. Perhaps that was the reasoning. This is just my opinion:-)
As I said, many users are having this problem, not just with the CS5, but they Install the 10.1 thinking that will solve whatever problem they may be having with the latest version.

The new version of iTunes Problems
When the latest version of iTunes was loaded all my playlists and a significant amount of my own music, loaded from CD, as well as lots of duplicate tracks occurred. I just moved to a new system configuration and did a clean install of Windows. I made a complete backup of my (Bitlocker Encrypted) HDD to a VHD using sysinternal Disk2VHD. I managed to mount this VHD on my original system. In my new system however, when
I mount the VHD, Bitlocker warns me that a new version of Bitlocker is required. But I'm at Windows 8.1 and there doesn't seem to be a newer version of Bitlocker...

i was considering an upgrade to adobe master suite, so i downloaded a trial verison on my mac laptop. since then, the trial has expired, and i have purchased a new laptop as the old one was on it's way out.
on my new laptop i re-loaded and re-activated my contribute CS3 which i purchased a few years ago, but as i had accessed my website using the CS5, i can no longer connect to it on CS3...and as the trial version of CS5 has expired, i can't go in and switch it to "transition" mode...
what can i do to access my website with CS3? kinda desperate to make some updates!

New Appserver gives RFR problems in reports

We migrated from one application server to another. All connections are ok (server diagnostic). When running an evget formuma, it gives back #RFR. EVDRE reports expand correctly in rows and columns, but do not bring back any data. The applications process correctly (no errors), optimizing works as well. Sending data runs forrevere and does not come back with any result (subimiited or even failed - it keeps running in the left hand corner)
Any thoughts?It seems the migration was not performed correct.
How did you perform this migration?
Did you check if into appserver:
tblappserverinfo , tblserverdefaults, tbpappsetinfo have correct information?

How do I create new versions of a large number of images, and place them in a new location?

I have been using Aperture for years, and have just one small problem. There have been many times where I want to have multiple versions of a large number of images. I like to do a color album and B&W album for example.
Previously, I would click on all the images at one, and select new version. The problem is this puts all of the new versions in a stack. I then have to open all the stacks, and one by one move the new versions to a different album. Is there any way to streamline this proccess? When it's only 10 images, it's no problem. When it's a few hundred (or more) its rather time consuming..
What I'm hoping for is a way to either automatically have new versions populate a separate album, or for a way to easily select all the new versions I create at one time, and simply move them with as few steps as possible to a new destination.

in addition to Kirby's and phosgraphis's excellent suggestions, you may want to use the filters to further restrict your versions to the ones you want to access.
For example, you mentioned
I like to do a color album and B&W album for example.
You could easily separate the color versions from the black-and-white versions by using the filter rule:
Adjustment includes Black&white
or
Adjustment does not include Black&white
With the above filter setting (Add rule > Adjustment includes Black&White) only the versions with Black&White adjustment are shown in the Browers. You could do similar to separate cropped versions from uncropped ones.

Using a new version of Xerces in Weblogic 7.0
I have deployed Weblogic 7.0 and I notice that there are two different versions
of xerces.jar, one in the server/lib directory and the other one in workshop/lib.
The latter being the new version. If I use the default setting and if I use a
standalone server then the parser is not able to do schema validation since it
does not have the feature. This is because the startup script calls the xerces.jar
in the 'server/lib' folder. If I replace that with the xerces.jar from the 'workshop'
folder everything works fine. Here are my questions:
1. Why are we using an old version of xerces.jar?
2. Would replacing the xerces.jar file with the new version cause any problems?You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.
I recommend syncing to iTunes first as well as creating a backup - just in case something goes wrong.
Then you can update your iPad. Go to Settings > General > Softwware Update to start the process. -

If you are getting a blue screen stop, it would help if you could post the exact error message. It should be some sort of numbers and text -

*Also is a file name mentioned in the error message? If so give the exact file name*
if you're not seeing a blue screen (or just a flash of one), you can use this technique to make hidden blue screens appear:
1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
3) Click the "Settings" button in the "Startup and Recovery" section
4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.
