Discoloring when uploading online.

I have been using LR3 for a couple of years now. I recently updated my Windows 8 to 8.1, and now, I notice a major lack in saturation when uploading to certain places. I initially thought it was an old PSP I was using, so I uninstalled it. Now, I realize, that wasn't the case. It is doing it when I upload my edited/exported photos to sites like shutterfly, printing sites, and my own website (www.caleasephotography.com). It uploads to facebook just fine, and burns to discs just fine, but when I opened them up in my old PSP, it was discoloring them there, also. I have had Geek Squad update and tune up my computer, so I don't know what to do. =( Any suggestions?

Sure would be nice if you could show us an example (give us a link)
It also would help if you told us the details of how you are doing the export (specifically what settings you have under File Settings->Color Space, as this should be sRGB), and what software (and what version) you are using to view the problem photos online.
Lastly, it may be that Win 8.1 is using a different monitor calibration than Win 8 (I'm totally guessing here, I have Win 7), so you should probably check to see what monitor calibration is used: http://members.lightroomqueen.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/1137/188/how-do-i- change-my-monitor-profile-to-check-whether-its-corrupted

  • Why does a fine JPG image turn grainy when uploaded online? Is my browser missing something?

My "picture-perfect" JPG images become grainy or coarse when I upload them to imageshack.us, yahoo, etc.

If Firefox also saves the images in low quality then you may have an ISP that sends the images compressed in lower quality to speed up the page loading.
If you want to see the original image quality all the time then you need to contact your ISP and ask what to do to opt-out of that service or see if there is a FAQ about it on the web page of your ISP.

  • Image saturation distored when uploaded online

I have a blog and sometimes like to combined several photos into one Photoshop document and save that document as one new photo. When I do this, I open the individual photos into Photoshop, edit each one individually, and then drag them into a new blank Photoshop document. I then arrange them on the page and crop the document down to the desired size. Then I save this document as a jpeg. In Photoshop and on my desktop the new image coloring looks normal. However, when I email the image and open it as an attachment the coloring is very over-saturated. Almost neon. This saturation/coloring issue is the same when I upload the image to wordpress and blogger.
I have saved the images in several formats and that doesn't seem to be an issue. I also don't think the issue is a setting on my camera, but maybe. I really think the problem is something to do with Photoshop.
This only happens with new Photoshop documents that I have added several photos to by dragging them in. Single images have no coloring issues.
Any thoughts on what might be going on?
    Thanks for your help!

You're running into some type of Color Management issue.
Then I save this document as a jpeg.
Are you using Save For Web to do that? This will convert your colors to sRGB space automatically (post CS4 I believe). Which is the unspoken color language of the internet.
    the coloring is very over-saturated.
Just on your end? Have you verified that the viewing sees the same problem? Sometimes people see problems on their monitor/browser and think every viewer sees the same thing. Not true.

  • When uploaded online, problem with stylesheet?

I've just spent hours online chat with Adobe and HostGator trying to figure out how to get the bloody site online. Finally got a version of the site I made on Muse online but this is what it looks like. Nothing is going right. HostGator told me that it seemed to be a problem with the stylesheet. I dont' know what that means but I need it fixed so it doesn't look as stupid as it does now. Its so frusterating.... nothing is working out. I just need the stupid website online looking like how it looks on Muse. What do I do?

I've got some pics to maybe help you figure out what's wrong?

  • When Uploading a video, I am given a "Online services encountered an error. The Service will now be terminated or paused if possible." How do I fix this? Where did it come from?

  • Flickering on finder window when uploading or opening.

I got my macbook pro 13in in November so it is brand new.I suffered a fall on the ice with my laptop in my backpack.Back pack first a week ago.I have a shell case for it,but am worried something might have happened internally.
It has been fine up until the past couple days.I began to notice black flickering occurring on my screen.I rebooted and fine. Then today I noticed when uploading things online a strong flickering showed on the finder. So I tried System Preferences > Display and UNCHECK the setting for "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes".This worked on safari, but I went to open up a file in photoshop and the flickering occurred once more.I'm not sure if when dropped something occured or if just some kind of error.Anyone know?

and I have a macbook pro 13.3 retina and yosemite

  • Pictures turning green when uploading to website or dropbox after edited in Pscs5

I am having issues when Uploading photos to my website, dropbox, email or online lab after editing in photoshop , First I edit in LR5 then export to PS with Lightroom default settings and my adjustments made to photos and then in do minor adjustments in Photoshop cs5 and then save in jpeg, well when I go to upload to my website or the others mentioned, the photos tuen green and desaturate and I am not sure why but need to fix this really bad, They do not turn green however when uploading to the blog...please help..:) GOD Bless you

What software (programs) are in charge of displaying the images you are comparing? Are you comparing the images on the same monitor and computer?
Different software may display the same image differently depending how it is color managed and if it can be color managed at all. Different monitors, computers, devices, outputs and etc, display the same color differently. The color management was designed to achieve consistent colors as much as possible on different outputs, but on each end this requires software and equipment with color management capabilities and users who know how to use correctly color managed images.
Having the above limitations in mind, can you please explain what are you trying to achieve?

  • Problem in uploading Online store sample project script

I am not able to upload "online store" sample project script. The Appex (3.0.1) I am using flashes a message that the script size is exceeding the limit.

Are you 'uploading' it as a script? It is an export file and needs to be imported.
    1. Unzip and extract all files
    2. Access your target Workspace
    3. Select the Application Builder
    4. Click [Import >]
    5. Browse and locate the installer file, online_store_installer_0.9.sql
    6. When prompted, select to install supporting objects

  • HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome. Extra large font sizes and weird formatting issues only when printing emails from Gmail within Chrome. No problems when printing the same email from Gmail+Internet Exolorer or Thunderbird. Using the IE Tab extension in Chrome prints the email correctly but the style of Gmail's message window is completely weird ie: formatting bar is spread out vertically instead of horizontally. I believe it is clear that this is an application specific issue between the HP LASERJET CP1525nw printer and Google Chrome + Gmail. This printing scenario does not occur when printing anything else or when printing via another printer. I would appreciate receiving any suggestions to solve this issue.
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    Browser: Google Chrome 15
HP Print driver: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 v5.4.0
Printer is connected by WiFi to 4 computers

    Hi AbZu,
You need to contact Google Chromes technical support as this is only an issue with Chrome. You have indicated that the printer functions correctly everywhere else. Check out the link below for Google Chrome technical support. Let me know if you need additional assistance?

  • Code doesn't update when uploading new files to website.

code doesn't update when uploading new files to website.   I was using an old DW version for a long time then forced to upgrade when I bought my MacBook Pro. Now when I make changes to my pages and link to new files etc on my harddrive, when i upload the pages it won't image because the code still points to harddrive (this did not used to be a problem)... I manually changed the code on the web host site to point to the site and it loaded fine. But now my files on my harddrive also point to the web host files and now don't image on my computer. I never had to worry about this so far and wonder if the new version has a setting I'm supposed to be aware of so that I can design on my hardrive and upload and it knows that the files are being uploaded with it?  Ugh hpe this makes sense - I'm NOT a webs designer and the new DW is way more than I use in it's technology.

    Hi
This sounds like you have not defined your site in the site definition.
Follow the steps in these 2 tutorials to set-up your site locally and for the remote server -

  • Cfmail  - works locally but not when uploaded

    Hi,
I'm using cfmail with form variables for the email addreses.
It's so users can send email to political candidates. Here's the
    code:
    <cfoutput>#Form.semails#</cfoutput>,<cfoutput>#Form.hemails#</cfoutput></p>
    <cfmail to="#Form.semails#,#Form.hemails#"
    replyto="#Form.useremail#" failto="[email protected]"
    from="#Form.useremail#" subject="Keep Maine Toxin-Free!"
    server="mail.nosuch.com" port="26" timeout="40"
    username="[email protected]" password="nosuch">
    #Form.usermessage#
    </cfmail>
The form submit page collects those variables and passes them
as form variables - GET. The "to" field in cfmail is populated by
hidden fields that contain session variables... they're forwarded
on as those .semails and .hemails form variables. Actual values
have been replaced with "none" or "nosuch" for security, but you
    can see the structure anyway.
This works when run locally, sends the emails as it should.
When uploaded exactly as is to godaddy's server, it doesn't send
emails. Doesn't throw any errors, the form results page displays as
it should... but the emails just never get sent.
    I'd really appreciate any ideas...
    Joe

Unfortunately all that can't be done by us users of these
    shared hosting
outfits. You'll need to contact GoDaddy support and ask them
    to take
these steps. I'm sorry about your probably experience with
    this.
While I use GoDaddy for my personal hosting where I care more
    about not
spending a great deal of money over high performance. I do
    not wish my
support experiences on anybody. If you know ColdFusion well
    and can
tell support what needs to be done, they should be able to do
    it. Or,
more likely, you would be able to figure out the self help
    tools to do
it yourself. But, unless this has changed since my last
    experience,
their support staff is not ColdFusion literate and are unable
    to guide
    other, inexperienced ColdFusion users.
Saying all that. Email works just fine on my GoDaddy website
    and I do
not believe I had to do anything special to use it.

  • "file does not exist on remote server" when uploading image

As the title says, when uploading an image im getting the
message "file does not exist on remote server"......yet dreamwever
has uploaded the file, its there. All other pages on my website
work fine when uploading images. Any ideas?

What image type is it? Is it in an images folder or the root
directory? It would be helpful to post a link.

  • When uploading my formatted resume to my Apple Jobs profile, I am always presented with a c:\fakepath message and the resume does not upload. How can I rectify this?

When uploading my formatted resume to my Apple Jobs profile, I am always presented with a c:\fakepath message and the resume does not upload. How can I rectify this?

Add this one to the list of thinks that don't work on the Apple Job Board. It looks like Apple is using ADP's VE (Virtual Edge) technology to run this system, and I've been stupified by the number of features that are just broken, or so poorly thought out by ADP as to be unusable, (certainly for webkit and mozilla browsers at least: I didn't bother checking IE.)
    Here are a few highlights:
"My Job List", list of jobs applied for, seems to max out at three. You can apply for more than that, but you can only see the first three.
"Search Using Your Resume" feature yields few or no results, even when the pasted text contains only common, exactly matched words like 'Design' or 'Engineer'.
The missing resume upload, described in this thread.
"My Job Agent" seems to never flag anything, at least it hasn't ever for me despite pretty loose criteria.
Agent's created using "My Job Agent" eventually just disappear, which is fine because they don't seem to work.
When updating a profile, acknowledging the 'Terms' happens twice in a row.
Job seekers can only supply one cover letter despite being able apply for several jobs.
Pagination for search results only appears at the top of the page, so it's necessary to scroll down through each page, then up to the top again to proceed to the next page.
Well, I'm sure there are others, but you get the idea. I hope the Apple folks can fix this, (or twist ADP's arm to fix it,) so it better represents the quality of experience that Apple is so respected for consistently delivering.
