Disconnecting While Charging?

this happened yesterday where in I put my computer to go to 'sleep' after only 10 minutes of no activity(dont ask why)
my ipod during that time (and after my computer went into sleep mode) was being charged and being updated for new songs, after a few hours in returning to my computer I 'woke' my computer from sleep mode and saw on my itunes the message the OK sign that my ipod was updated and ok to eject, but when released it,my ipod still had that message of "Do Not Disconnect",so I had to reset it again, and everything was fine and went to back normal
does this in any way damage the ipod or battery function?

  • IPhone 4 disconnecting while charging (different chargers)

    Hello,
My iPhone 4 has two seperate apple branded chargers and it has had a problem changing on both.  It will charge fine sometimes but others it will connect/disconnect repeatedly and vibrate while it is doing it.  I have checked the connections on the cords but nothing seems loose.
Occasionally it will give me a error that it does not recognize the charge cord.  Do I have two fauly cords or is my iPhone the problem?
    Version 4.3.3
    Thank you,
    Rayvin

I plugged it into one of the cords this afternoon (that it has charged fine from before at times and flickered in it's connection at others) and I received a "Charging is not supported with this accessory" error.   I reset the iphone 4 and it is not charging without errors.   But I have reset before only to have this come back.   Is there a permanent fix?
    Thank you.

  • WIFI Disconnecting while Charging iPhone 4S

I charge my iPhone everynight while I sleep.  I have it plugged into the wall.  When I open my phone in the morning I check my data manager and most mornings it's already used 2-10mb of data.  Not good when I only have 300mb for the month.  When I first open my phone, it has the 4G icon at the top until I unlock it then the WIFI re-connects.  Why is my WIFI not staying connected while it's charging and what is it doing to use that data?  I have tried killing all my apps, turning off backups and syncs, data pushes and everything, but it's still using data for something.  I even turned off the Cellular Data one night and it still had used 3mb of data!  Any thoughts?  I've had this problem before and after iOS 6 update.

  • Tactic3D Rage Wireless Constantly Turns Off while Charging

I got the Tactic3D Rage Wireless a couple of years ago and it has had many problems from the time I received it. I eventually got the others fixed, or mostly fixed, but this one has been annoying me increasingly in the past few months.
The headset not only rapidly connects and disconnects with Windows 8 (I think it is a problem with windows and not the headset for this one), but it also turns off the second I turn it on while charging. This makes the headset completely useless when I am charging it. This would not be as bad, but now the headset will not actually charge when it is on its charger. After it "charges" for a few hours, I take it off of the charger and I immediately begin to hear the beeping, notifying me that the headset is low on battery.
I finally made an account on these forums after a couple of days failing at searching for this problem with others so now I am posting this. Help is greatly needed for I don't want to be forced to spend more money on another headset if I can get this one fixed. Please reply with any questions I have not answered, and have a good day.

    Hi Logo594
You may want to refer to this article, specifically the last paragraph of the article regarding charging.
    http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowA...spx?sid=111092
You also mentioned that this headset is at least a couple of years old, so it is possible that the battery
does not hold its charge well. If this still does not work, You may contact Support here.
    Cheers,
    Colin-CL

  • My ipad 2 disconnects while trying to update and cant complete syncing / copying of apps.

Recently My ipad 2 has not been able to get a full charge and after repeat attempts manages a 95% charge. i updated to iOS 8.1.3. and my ipad disconnects while trying to update and cant complete syncing / copying of apps. it just keeps rebooting itself!

    Howdy frakie,
If you are having an issue with your iPad restarting itself, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
If your iOS device restarts, displays the Apple logo, or powers off while you're using it - Apple Support
In particular, since you are already using the latest version of the operating system -
If you still see this issue after updating, contact Apple Support.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Satellite L200: Why LCD freezes and lines in the LCD appear while charging?

    Hi!
I'm new here and ive got some problems with my L200. Everytime i charge my laptop while using it my LCD monitor freezes and there's a bit of running lines that appear in the monitor.
The only way that i can use it is to disconnect the charger and run it thru the use of a fully charged battery.
I just want to ask if theres a problem with my LCD or with the adaptor charger?
    Thank you so much!

Everytime i inserted the adaptor it turns off and sometimes it freezes the whole screen and apparently some vertical lines appear on the screen. It's been two weeks and im using it right now thru a fully charged battery. Thank you so much for the reply.

  • Touch screen became crazy while charging !

I Have proplem during charging my N9 I can not use the phone because the screen is not responding to my finger during charge, if i unplug the cable (or disconnect the power) the tuoch back to normal! I tryed many other charghers and cable but all the same, i did hard reset to the phone but still I dont know if its hardware or software issue, because if its hardware i will return my N9 back! Is any one have this proplem as well ?

hello again, and thx for sharing your N9 model/type and result of in-car test. Please return with the result from your nokia care point visit, and be certain to also bring the charger and cable, as I can imagine also the charger being all or part of the problem. I dont have alternative ac chargers to test with, but I do have a computer with usb which is connected to ac mains too, earthed ac mains outlet specifically, and there I dont see the problem while charging. Perhaps you could try the same as test? rgds

  • While charging iPad 2 makes constent beep what is it?

Hi all, need your help ! While charging my iPad 2 , it makes beep and the battery sign keeps on blinking! Doesnt charge! What to do ?

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • I have a new Mac Book Pro Retinal.  Should I leave the charger connected all of the time that I am at my desk or should I disconnect the charger and allow the battery to full cycle?

I have a new Mac Book Pro Retinal.  Should I leave the charger connected while I am at my desk or should I disconnect the charger and all the battery to full cycle?

I leave mine plugged in when at a desk most of the time.
The battery will slowly discharge from 100% to 95% even on wall power, then recharge to 100% ... to save usage of the recharge circuits.
At least once a month I use it on battery and let the battery run down to about 40%.
DO NOT run to "dead" ... that will shorten battery life.
BTW: My battery currently (after 1 year) can still hold 101% of factory-designed charge.

  • Can i listen music while charging ?

    Hi,
can i listen music on ipod while charging my 5gn. 30gb ipod.
and everytime i connect ipod to computer for transfering songs or to use as hd. it starts charging even if not required.
how can i stop this charging ? is it possible ?
    ny help is appreciated.
    thanks

Yes. Connect the ipod to your computer, and once it's recognized by iTunes, safely disconnect it (eject the iPod as normal). Leave it connected via the cable and the iPod will receive a charge whilst you use it.
The transfer of songs is a huge drain on the iPods battery, therefor it is essential to have power supplied to it or else the transfer may fail.
So, even if you were able to stop the charge (and you can't), you wouldn't want to.

  • IPOD gets super hot while charging, won't turn off

My daughter's IPOD was getting super hot while charging. VERY hot. It wouldn't let us disconnect it. We finally HAD to, it was so hot. It now won't shut off - has the battery with the ! sign on the display.
Any ideas on how to fix this, or is this toast? thanks.

I hope they will help - we've had it almost 90 days already - I don't know how long they are willing to help. I literally have a blister on my finger - it got that hot.

  • Strange vibrations while charging

My mother bought herself an 8Gb 2nd gen iPod touch for christmas, and has been using it non stop every day, even while charging (using an Apple branded USB ac power adapter)
Today while she was playing "Trism" (her favourite game). I happened to touch her hand, and noticed a strange vibration feeling (it's very hard to describe, not like a mobile phone vibrate, but more subtle) when the USB cable was disconnected, the vibration stopped.
My mother is now very worried and so I would love any help as to whether she should take it back, what's actually going on, or whether others have noticed this, (I personally haven't noticed it on my 1st gen 32Gb iPod touch)
    Thanks in advance.^^

Mine does this too it feels like electrisity and tingles my hands. I think I has to do with the USB cable though because the tip of it it is also vibrating. It could be leaking electrisity and then the case of the iPod is conducting it.

  • Iphone 6 plus fingerprint is not working while charging

My iphone 6 plus fingerprint scan is not working while charging. Is this normal?
I tried my iphone 5s and it works just fine even while charging.

I think I got an answer to my own question
If you're using generic lightning cable (non-original lighting cable), the fingerprint scan doesn't work while charging.
I just find it weird as my iphone 5s works even if i'm not using the original lightning cable though.

    Hi swaraj.vidhate,
If you are experiencing what appears to be unusually short battery life, you may want to check out the "Power/Battery: Battery life seems short" section of the following article:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
In particular, the Restore iPhone step will help isolate if any potential issue is software or hardware related.
With regard to the iPhone warming during charging:
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (4th generation): Keeping device within acceptable operating temperatures
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2101
When using the device or charging the battery, it is normal for it to get warm. The exterior of the device functions as a cooling surface that transfers heat from inside the device to the cooler air outside.
If you are still having issues with the battery life, or have any further concerns, there is a link to Apple iPhone Support at the bottom of the Hardware Troubleshooting document; I am sure they would be happy to be of assistance.
    Cheers,
