Discount is being updated when changing unit price in SO after upgrade

Hi there,
Customer recently upgraded to version 8.8 from 2005.
They encountered a few transactions where discount is automatically being updated when changing unit price in SO.
Customer created SO by duplicating existing SO. Then change the Unit Price in the new SO.
For one item, the price after discount does not get updated correctly. Instead, system seems to have automatically created the discount.
So far, I can't reproduce this issue yet.
Is this a bug? Please suggest.

I have checked and there is no discount setup for the Price List or BP.
The Price List has been set to the correct one as well.

My concern is the setting SET FRMLBOTTOMUP ON i use, because it looks like it's skipping that block. HOw can work around this issue without affecting the performance too much. For example using SET CREATEONMISSINGBLK ON might help, but will have a performance impact

yes Aggmissg will work with from bottom up. As for performance, believe it or not, having Aggmssg on is quicker that off. That is because when off, it has to look at the children blocks to determine if there are data values present that need to overwrite the parent value where hen it is on, it does not look it just does it.

Changing unit price after AP invoice has been created

We realized the unit price was incorrect after the PO, GR and AP invoice was already created. Is there a way to update the unit price on the item?

Hi,
This is not possible, you have to reverse transaction by AP Credit memo and recreate new transaction. If you have FIFO valuation method then you can change price through Inventory Revaluation but in that case your AP Invoice amount remains unchange.

Must be serious because you have stated the problem 4 times now.
Here are a number of things that you can try and maybe one of them will help.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
You can also try going to the App Store, find an app that needs an update, tap on the app icon to bring up the description page, then tap on install that way, rather than using the Update option from the app updates screen.
And ... You can always install the updates in iTunes on your computer and then sync them to the iPad.

Placed files don't update when changed

For some reason when I place PSD files into Illustrator, they no longer update when changed.
I've tried setting preferences to both 'Ask When Modified' and 'Automatically'...
It used to work OK, just in the past month or so it's stopped.
Also I notice that when I place a PSD file it is asking me if I want to flatten layers, which it didn't used to, as far as I remember.

You can always use the Place command to replace an embedded file with a linked one.
If you've got Shift or Shift Lock held down, files will embed when placed or dragged in from the finder, otherwise they'll be linked.

Update info record when changing units of measure in material master

Hello,
is there any possibility for an automatic change of info record when changing conversion factors in the material master ?
We have 3 units of measure in our material master: the base unit and 2 alternative units. The first alternative unit is the order unit and the second alternative unit is the order price unit. So in our purchase info records we maintain an order unit, which differs from the base unit and we also maintain an order price unit, which differs from the base unit and the order unit.
If we now change the conversion factors between the units in the material master, we would like to get an automatic change of the converions in the info record (to order unit and order price unit), which have the same previous conversions.
For IS R it seems to be implemented (see OSS-Note 975954).
Is there any solution for a "normal" industry system ?

I don't think such an auto update is available. Infact I came to know that such an update is available in IS-R after reading your query.
Obviously you an always create a workflow based enhancement that can synchronize the Info-records and material master changes or sort of enhancement which regularly reads the material master change history for such changes and trigger a synchronization by executing change Info-record automatically.

Error when changing unit of Issue in material master

When i am trying to change Unit of issue in Qualitymanagement view of a material using MM02 transaction, we got error message - "The unit of issue cannot be changed because the material is used in a BOM-------Mesage no. M3214"

The reason is that material is used as a component in BOMs with the present unit of issue as a unit in the bom line item.Unless you change that bom line item unit to its base unit ,system will not allow you to change the unit of issue in QM.
First check in which BOMs the material you were changing is used as a component.this you can do in transaction CS15.
then change the unit of measure used for the material in bom line item to base unit of measure.if one only one BOM is there change in CS02.if more BOMS are there do mass change in CS20.
Then try to change the unit o fissue.now system will allow you to do the changes.

But I cannot update the "Unit Price" of this item as the field is protected. How can I enable the field for updating? Thanks.
(Note: If creating PR in the requisition form in Oracle Purchsing, then I can update the unit price. Why can't in iProcurement?)

How do I change unit price to 4 decimal for CUST_PO of Standard PO Styleshe

We are currently using the standard "PO Output for Communication POXPOPDF" to print our PO. We like the output except for the unit price. We have the need to display the unit price with 4 decimal places instead of 2.
I am new to XML publisher.
Is there a easy way to do this without having to build the templates from scratch?

I think the template for this is not an RTF template where things would have been relatively simple. But its an XSLFO template which is going to be a bit tougher. First you need to open the template and locate the UNIT price field entry. Looking at the version I have its just:

You can wrap the UNIT_PRICE entry with the format-number function.

You can more info by sraching for format-number on your favorite search engine.
The only issue I can see is that the PO extract may not be extracting data to 4 dps or more.

Unable to change tracks on my stereo after upgrading to iOS 6

After upgrading to iOS 6 yesterday I've noticed a problem playing my music through Bluetooth on my Alpine car stereo. It still plays but I am unable to change tracks with the stereo, I have to manually do it on my iPhone. This is a problem, any ideas?

I spoke to a rep at Alpine today. They are aware that there are major issues with the release of iOS 6 and ALL their products. The said they will have to do a firmware update and he had no idea when that would be available.
Not good as I bought a new unit yesterday ! It workd great driving home and this morning no iPhone interface would function properly. I updated my OS last night. And I cannot go back to OS 5 I am told by Apple people.
I love Apple products but I must say I do not like their "we know best" attitude when it comes to deciding what OS I should run on my iPhone. I would much rather have OS 5 and let my iPhone work with my stereo.
Hopefully this firmware update will not take too long but I know there is no way it will be right away. The Alpine rep said his phone started ringing off the hook at 8 am from Alpine techs all over the country !
So clearly this was news to them.

Change characters in the background after upgrading BEX workbook

I have just upgrade the Bex workbook from 3.5X to 7.0. Functionally, it works fine. However, one thing that irritates the end users is that when one opens the workbook, it immediately shows an Excel-sheet with change symbols, numbers and characters scattering from line 1 to 4 (like TRUE, FALSE, arrow-symbols etc). Later on a variable screen pops up on top of this background. The background will disappear only after the variable screen is filled and the result is finally displayed.
Does anyone comes across this issue? Is there any way to get a clean background to start with?

The problem is due to the fact that we are using too low level of SAPGUI. After upgrading the GUI level and patches, this together with other frontend problems such as missing role button, variants not showing and so on are dissolved.

Price is not being updated when creating a sales order using DTW oOrders

Hello experts,
When I create a sales Order using DTW (oOrders), the information in the input files document.csv and document_lines.csv is updated with no problem, except the price. The price is being ignored from the input files.
Is there something that I must considered when trying to update the price of a sales order using the DTW?
The field "price" was mapped in the source and target fields in DTW.
