Where can a customer download Discoverer 11.1.1.4 ?

I also heard that Oracle have a patch for 11.1.1.6 that will allow Java 1.7 to work.
Discoverer 11g is now compatible with JDK 1.7 (server-side) and / or JRE 1.7 plugin (client-side) with Patch 13877486

The patch is about 40 Mb in size and appears to be a generic patch for all platforms. You will need to apply it on the server using OPatch.

Discoverer Viewer and Plus are part of Oracle application server product so you need to download whole 'Application Server 10g' .

Error of access denied opening a workbook in discoverer viewer 10.1.2

When I open a workbook in discoverere viewer in the html page shows this message:
OracleBI Discoverer Viewer no ha encontrado los datos necesarios para mostrar los resultados de este evento. Corrija los errores y vuelva a intentarlo.
- access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission oracle.discoverer.connections)
However data seems correct, but I don't know how to delete this message.

Metalink has some information regarding what sounds like a solution to your problem under Doc Id : 265228.1. Have a read and let us know if this is for you and whether you get it working in a development environment.
Symptoms
Discoverer 10g (9.0.4) Plus and Viewer throws 'page cannot be displayed'
Other symptoms
A.) Discoverer Plus shows a file download dialog with virus warning "Some files can harm your computer. If the file information below looks suspicious, or you do not fully trust the source,do not open or save the file."
Opening or cancelling will again throw "page cannot be displayed"
B.) Plus throws a blank page and Viewer throws 500 internal server error
Cause
Installation failure on configuring discoverer in OC4J_BI_Forms may caused the problem.
Using pre-production / beta code (M16b shiphome) will cause the problem.
Fix
1.) Edit the file $ORACLE_HOME(midtier)/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/config/java2.policy
2.) Add the below lines at the end of the file

Correct Discoverer version for EBS 11.5.10

Dear Members :
Could you please guide me the right Discoverer Version, the link to download from and configuration steps, in order to connect to EBS 11.5.10 (base) running on Linux ?
I am completely confused looking at so many views and my own failure with ver 4.1.37 (both admin & desktop), login error (same TNS setting I am using with so many applications to connect to database).
Do I need to check anything on apps server side - do appreciate it very much ?

AtanuDisco 4.1 is the version that comes bundled with EBS 11.5.10. It is currently de-supported (http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2006/04/discoverer_4i_to_be_desupporte.html)
You can download 4.1.37 Admin/Desktop version from here (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/discoverer/downloads/index-095113.html) and you will have to request Support to provide you the 4.1.48 patch which you will need to apply.

Unable to find library 'libnnz10.sl'

Hi everybody,
we made a Discoverer clone (from an old server to a new one) and we replicated all the Discoverer installation, but now, I have a problem when I try to connect to Discoverer Plus or Viewer (to the new server).
When I launch the command opmnctl startall (to start up all the Discoverer Processes) I see these errors:

/usr/lib/pa20_64/dld.sl: Unable to find library 'libnnz10.sl'.
Now, on metalink I found the Doc ID: 359591.1 where inside there is the note *4926017 : "UNABLE TO FIND LIBRARY 'LIBNNZ10.SL'" ERROR IN OPMN CONFIG*
I don't know exactly if I have this could be the problem....Maybe I missed something on the new server.....
Please, anybody knows if I have to set up something or launch a file to configure the new server in order to avoid the error above ?

Actually, you can clone Application Servers across hosts (including Discoverer). :-)

Chaptere 10 for Discoverer specific (not Chapter 11)
Additionally, for middle-tiers you can change the hostname and IP address and then run the change IP/host script $OH/chgip/scripts/chgiphost.sh (.bat for Windows)
This script is called in the cloning process when you provide source and target/destination information
For Infrastrucure, you can only change the IP address; it is not allowed to change the hostname.

1. I would check your LD_LIBRARY_PATH and SHLIB_PATH to make sure it is correct and can find the shared library
2. If not, then you may need to relink the webcache (i.e. - per that document you posted)
After ensuring all processes are stopped, perform the following commands to relink Oracle Web Cache:
cd $ORACLE_HOME/webcache/lib
/usr/ccs/bin/make -f ins_calypso.mk install
3. If still a problem, you may want to check on a WebCache specific forum

Oracle 11g forms installation

Hi,
I have installed the Oracle forms 11g on my machine and tested the test.fmx file and is running with out any problems. I have installed Oracle weblogic 10.3.2 and then downloaded the forms 11g version (4 zip files from oracle site) and installed only forms and reports components.
When I am going through the forms deployment guide, in the documentation it is specified that the configuration files are located in *<DOMAIN_DIR>/servers/WLS_FORMS/stage/formsapp/11.1.1/formsapp/config* folder. But I am unable to find the configuration files in that folder. I can find the configuration files in the following folders.
<DOMAIN_DIR>\config\fmwconfig\servers\WLS_FORMS\applications\formsapp_11.1.1\config
<DOMAIN_DIR>\servers\AdminServer\tmp\.appmergegen_1260317776409_formsapp.ear\config
<DOMAIN_DIR>\servers\WLS_FORMS\tmp\_WL_user\formsapp_11.1.1\wb1h9e\config
Can I assume *<DOMAIN_DIR>\config\fmwconfig\servers\WLS_FORMS\applications\formsapp_11.1.1\config* folder is correct configuration folder for forms configuration.
I did not find any error messages while the installation and also the test.fmx is running with out any problems. Could you please advise about the correct configration if the configuration files are not correct.

u have to do something like this.
Perform the below steps to install Oracle Forms 11g and forms services on Windows.
- Download Oracle Weblogic server (Navigation: otn.oracle.com > downloads > Middleware: Weblogic server )
- Download Oracle Forms, Reports and Discoverer (Navigation: otn.oracle.com > Downloads > Middleware: Oracle Fusion Middleware 11gR1)
- Extract the two files Disk1_1of2 and ..disk1_2of2 and it creates disk directories (disk1, disk2, disk3 and disk4).
- Double click the setup.exe in the root of the disk1 folder.
- Click install and configure.
- The installer checks for System pre-requisites.
- Choose the Oracle Middleware location. This is where I installed the middleware home of Jdeveloper 11g
- Select Oracle Forms and Reports including the correct server components. And after accepting the defaults in the following steps choose [Finish] and the installation starts.
- The installer installs a one- off patch and then starts the configuration.
- Add TNS entry for the instance in tnsnames.ora under ([HOME_DRIVE]:\Oracle\Middleware\asinst_1)
- The forms builder can be accessed from the following menu (Start > Programs > Oracle classic instance > Developer tools > Forms Builder.)sarah

Stop poodle vulnerability in oracle application server

Hello guys.
Our Enterprise is using Oracle Application Server in front of oracle database. we using oracle wallet manager(Installed with Oracle client 10) to create self sign certificates. as you may know wallet manager in v 10 has some limitation in key size or ... (i don't know exactly the limitation and i hope you could help me on it ).
when we want to issue a certificate at first we create a certificate request with wallet manager and then issue based on certificate in windows server CA.
now i have some question:
1- what are the limitation of using wallet manager in V10 to issue the self sign certificate?
2- is there another way to create self sign certificate without wallet manager V10?(when i try the newest versions oracle application failed to open a certificate)
3- and my most important question:
can i stop poodle attack in oracle application? (i red somewhere that poodle attack doesn't apply in TLSV1. so i guess its better to ask my question this way:
does oracle application server support the TLSV1? )

Error while downloading Discoverer

So that we may better diagnose problems, please provide the following information.
- Server name (technet.oracle.com)
- Filename (Discoverer)
- Date/Time (02/04/2002)
- Browser + Version (Internet Explorer 5.5)
- O/S + Version (Windows NT)
- Error Msg : Display "<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascri" instead of going to the download page

This is a pretty basic error - indicates that the tnsnames.ora file on the discoverer client machine is likely misconfigured, or that the connection information you have provided in your connect string is invalid. CAN'T GET DISCOVERER ADMIN FROM DOWNLOADS

I completed downloading all the files for Discoverer Admin. I'm able to run file10 without any errors. But when I try to run the 90201iDS_Win32.exe file, I get an error saying that it is not a valid Win32 application. Please advise.

The links appear to be broken for forms developer and discoverer. Does anyone know how I can obtain these two?

Please try and identify which server you are downloading from and then try one of the other two. The three servers are: download-west.oracle.com, download-east.oracle.com, and download-uk.oracle.com. It should be visible in the status bar at the bottom of the browser.

Download Discoverer 10.1.2.0.0 = Discoverer 10.1.2.45.46c

Does anyone know where I can download a copy of Discoverer Desktop 10.1.2.0.0 = Discoverer Desktop 10.1.2.45.46c? I can only find 10.1.2.0.2, which is 10.1.2.48.18.

10.1.2.0.0 was the pre-production release of Discoverer 10g and was extremely buggy. It was only available for a very short time and was rapidly superceded by 10.1.2.0.2 which is the current 10g Release 2 base version.
I'm afraid there is no download available of 10.1.2.0.0 any more. Can you explain why you want it?
