Receiving an Internal EUL error - unexpected transaction using Discoverer version 4.1.36.23.0 upon creating a NEW BUSINESS area, folder or any item.
Please advise.

I have seen this error while importing a BA that had a link to another BA... which had the joined item removed. However, it sounds as if this is not your probelm. If this is your first business area I would suggest deleting the EUL and reconstruct the user schema... I find login in as System and then create the new schema as about as problem free as you can get...

same eulWhich option for handling duplicates did you select when you imported the EUL?
i have to find out from the migration team. they were the ones doing itDo you get the same error if you import into an empty EUL?
were trying to merge into production. so importing it into another instance but except for production was not a problemthanks for replying.

You mentioned that you have privileges to all the users.
How are your User database accounts set up?
We have setup 3 types of users, reado only, authors and publishers who can share workbooks.
I understand from my colleague that there is a Disco Administrator Security setting that restricts users from saving workbooks to the database.
Otherwise it may pay to go back to basics and see that the Users DB accounts have permissions to INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE from the base EUL tables. Apparently you can grant these manually though roles or use the Admin Tool to set up you Users permissions. I recommend using the Admin tool.
Worst case you may have a config problem with your User Acccounts (i.e. temp space etc) or a RDBSM setup problem - DBA issues.
Let us know how you get on.

Not really enough informatoin to debug via a forum, you may need a Service Request with Oracle Support. If staying on 4.1 (recommend 10.1.2.0.2), I suggest you are patched to 4.1.48.08
Additionally, ensure the worksheet runs to completion without scheduling... since you mentioned it is long you may need to increase the data cache, etc.

HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error from Discoverer Viewer to Portal

HI,
I created a tab with a list of workbooks created with Discoverer Viewer and published with Discoverer Portliest Provider (List of Database Workbooks). Another tab contains four Discoverer Worksheets created with the same account. Everything works well but if i click on a report in list and open Discoverer Viewer, when i return to portal and go to tab containing worksheets i see message "HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error" and i'm not able to do anything. I only can close my browser and i must reconnect to portal!
Can you help me?
My portal version is cg (9.0.4), i'm using Windows 2000 ESP and Internet Explorer 6.
I tried with Olin and Mazola but result did not change.
I used a public connection bud i tried a private connection too. Nothing happened.

The application.log file, under the OC4J which running your Discoverer provider, should give you some hints about the problem you're facing.

Get the TNSNAMES.ORA file of your database and copy it in Discoverer Home (i.e., home where you installed Discoverer Administrator, usually BIToolsHome_1/network/admin). Then login to Discoverer Administrator using a new database user (usually EUL_US) which you might have created as part of installation. Once logged in, it will prompt you to create an EUL. Please follow Discoverer Installation Document.

Parameter Screen not opening - '500 Internal Server Error'

Hi All,
I have developed a Discoverer Report which runs based on certian parameters.
When i run the report in Discoverer Viewer at my end the parameter screen opens fine with no errors, but when the customer clicks on the flashlight then instead of the parameter screen getting displayed there is some java error displayed which says '500 Internal Server Error'.
Can anyone please tell me why is this error coming at the customer's end and what could be the root cause for this.

Can you tell me the URL you are using to launch Discoverer?
Discoverer typically likes to call its pages using a fully qualified domain name like: http://myserver.mydomain.com:port/discoverer/plus
If you are not launching it this way and are using just a server name or an IP address then the initial pages will work but later the server will try to call a fully qualified page from a non-qualified page. This can cause a 500 Internal Server Error.
So, please make sure you are launching Discoverer correctly.

500 Internal Server error for a single report in a dashboard

Hi All,
I had an issue with a report in a dashboard i.e.., In a dashboard a report is prepared by using the opaque view. When I ran the report in a dashboard it ran for about 15 to 20 mins and the report is excuted with the data. Now I tried to downlaod the data for that particular report into the excel sheet by using the option Download to Excel. At this stage after 5 mins I am facing the Internal serevr error. But strange behaviour is that it downloads sometimes and sometimes it does'nt. One more important thing is that I tested the query in backend and it took around 6 to 7 mins to fetch the data. The total no of rows for the query is only 166. So can anyone please give me some suggestions or we can have a discussion as this report is behaving strangely. One more thing I forgot to mention is that they used session variables as parameters in the query for two fields which they used in the opaque view to build that report.

500 Internal server error while running sqlsrv_query in PHP

I am running a query through php:

I have php.ini settings like below:
max_execution_time = 90
memory_limit = 128M
While running this query in SQL SERVER 2008 R2, it successfully gives result in some times in 1 minute and sometimes in 2 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. I am using it as an inline popup. I am trying to create command links dynamically in an iterator. When a link is clicked a popup window opens. The text of the link is passed to the popup window by creating a variable in the session scope ( I even tried request scope) by an action listener in the backing bean.
I tried to create another simple application with a static command button which passes its text to popup window through a session scope variable. It worked fine. I am not sure why the same procedure is not working in my original application. Can you give me a hint what could possibly go wrong according the exception stack trace ?

500 internal server error while deploying a Web Dynpro application

I got the 500 internal server error while deploying the application to server.
I tried to find the log file at usr --> SAP --> SID --> JC XX --> j2EE --> Cluster --> Server 0 --> log, but no log was there.
There were structure changes in the RFC and also code change in my Web
Dynpro code.
I´m working on EP 7.
NWDS version is 7.0.1
Please help me as the production move is pending because of this.

As2 receiver channel, SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,
There is one scenario in our landscape, its running in production, Proxy to As2. The interface working fine for last 2 weeks, today its showing error in As2 receiver channel saying
Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error # , SEEBURGER AS2: 500 Internal Server Error #
I have searched in forum, but couldnt get much idea on why this error encounters and how can we resolve it.
Kindly provide your inputs to help me resolve this.

Hi Ruchi,
500 means the requested server does not understand the request (the requested service is unknown). The reason is obvisiously outside of PI. You have to contact the 3rd party owner and ask why the system is refusing the request instead of responsing like before.

The query is fine and works properly.
But when i try to open the POP-UP window, instead of displaying the List of values it gives a message "Internal Server Error" .
The error on the error log at the server is as belows:

Ameya - That is correct. You may have to call a function from within the query to shorten it. The function can refer to the page items using v('ITEM') notation. In APEX 2.2, the popup LOV implementation has been improved somewhat so that this kind of thing should not occur.
