Discoverer Cacheability Rule missing?

In the Oracle Application Server Web Cache Administrator's Guide 10g(9.0.4), Compatibility with Oracle Application Server Components section, Table 1-1, it states: "OracleAS Discoverer is closely integrated with OracleAS Web Cache to improve Discoverer Viewers overall scalability, performance, and availability. OracleAS Web Cache ships with a predefined caching rule for this purpose..."
It also says the same thing in the Discoverer Configuration guide (6.11.3.1 Cacheability rule to cache all pages served by the Discoverer Servlet).
When I view my 10g Web Cache (9.0.4) admin "Caching, Personalization, and Compression Rules", however, I cannot see the discoverer\/viewer rule.
Is it supposed to be in there?

In 9.0.4, Discoverer uses surrogate-control headers to control cacheability. Web Cache reads the header and performs appropriate caching. You don't need to change anything in Web Cache, but you do need to modify some configuration parameters at the Discoverer side. The Discoverer Configuration Guide, Section 6.6, describes the details.

Hi folks
We are trying to implement content for 0REFX_C03 cube. But the transfer rules from datasource to infosource 0REFX_3 is missing from business content.
Inorder to get that we have implemented SAP note
BW transfer rules missing in delivery

And we installed BI_CONT 704 SAPK-70401INBICONT New support pack for BI content.
It leads to weird changes in the system like previously available objects in BI content are missing.
Did any body encountered same problem.

Currently on BI_CONT 735 Level 003.

Transfer Rules missing in Business Content (704 lvl 1) for CMS

Hi SDN,
We are currently on BI 7.0, and using Business Content 704 level 1. When collecting BIC InfoSources for Collateral Management Systems (CMS), we notice that the transfer rules are missing in business content.
Has anyone encountered this issue? I have been referencing notes 1171293, and 1179880

Mail Rules missing "mark as unread" and "mark as unflagged"

I'm adding some new rules in Mac Mail and just noticed that there is no option to "mark as unread" in my list. My friend has it coming up, but it isn't there for me.
When I click to add a new rule, the drop-down for Perform actions lists "delete", "mark as read" and "mark as flagged". I'm missing "mark as unread" and "mark as unflagged".
Why would I be missing those options?

Mail rules doesn't offer these options which is why you don't have them. Your friend must be mistaken. and anyway since the rules are only applied to new messages there is no point in having the option to mark them as unread - they are unread already. You can add a rule to unflag messages using apple script but if I'm not mistaken all new messages are unflagged by default too so there is no point for this one either.

0HR_PY_1 Update rules missing in Business Content

Hi All,
In business content update rules from 0HR_PY_1 to Cube 0PY_C02 is missing.
We are on BI_CONT 703 0009 SAPKIBIIP9 Package level. I have checked in other system which is on package level 7 the update rule exists. And in the system with package level 11 the update rule doesn't exists.
Did anybody faced this issue. Any solution/comments on the same.

AS Console (Em) Mid Tier Forms and discoverer Link Is missing

When accessing the iasconsole for 904 Mid tier the "forms" and "Discoverer" service link hyperlink is missing and the check box cannot be clicked.

If components are missing they might be disabled under Enable/disable Components.
What installation type is it and did you configure the "missing" components?

Rule missing in Transformation

Hi Experts,
When i was created the transformation (for cube in bi.7) the following error occured, plz give me proper solution.
Rule 3 (target field: Z_PRI): Field /BIC/Z_PRI must be assigned to an InfoObject
Message no. RSTRAN526
Diagnosis
No InfoObject is assigned to field /BIC/Z_PRI. This is mandatory if you want to use the corresponding rule type.
System Response
The rule is invalid.

Hi,
In Transformation you have to select rule detail and write routine like for exp:
My fields are z_prc & z_qty i have to calculate revene.
Routine:
go to revene field in traformations -> select Rule Detials -> Select Routine
Write Routine:
Result = source_fields-/bic/z_prc * source_fields-/z_qty.
like you have to write routine your problem is solved.

Profit center substitution rule miss matching or not working properly

We have a substitution rule for profit center for sales group and profit center rule is like
Is the sales group is 123 profit center should be 123, but now for some g/l like sales deductions that rule is not working for sales group BG1 PROFIT CENTER IS COMING AS BG4 in the same sale order
I have checked out OKB9 settings also but for that g/l there is no derivation rule has been defined and there is no cost derivation also
Please help me out how find out the correct reason

BI transfer rules missing .

Dear all,
we had made a system copy of the source system (ECC) and with BI (Scm) system i.e both the systems on Quality was refreshed with prod , now we get the error that transfer rules does not exist on the copied BI system .

Trasfer Rules missing in BI Content

Hi,
I'm facing an issue with transfer rules in BI 7.
For most infocubes, when i try to activate bi contnet in data flow before, it does not give me transfer rules.
Moreover, on the bi content installing screen on the workbench, when i'm trying to locate transfer rules, the system doesnt show any transfer rules available in bi content.
my bi cont is on patch level 11.

You re not entirely correct. Transformations are introduced in BI 7 but the old concept can still be used.
Moreoever, BI Content still predominantly delivers UR and TR.

no am not done any migration of Ds till now,,
m donethe following steps..
1. Rsa5 -DS (3.x)activation ..(master n transaction)
2. replicated in Bi side .
3. installed the 0SD_C03 cube with "dat flow before " and "Automatic collection"
4.while tring to load master data for TEXTS 0BILBLK_ITM ..In Transfer structure it's not proposing the KEy1 field ..if i tries to map manually ..then loading ..it's giivng erroe where as in r3 records are avaialble (RSA3)..
is there any issue with BW SP15 and BI content 9 combination...
please suggegst.

RSAU_READ_MASTER_DATA in transfer rules missing results or dump

Anybody know about if the RSAU_READ_MASTER_DATA work in transfer rules??
I have a routine for field attribute derivation from a infobject; putting the trans-structure as I_CHAVL and returning the E_ATTRVAL in result. But don't work and is hiring a dump of CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_TYPE.
I tested with I_CHAVL equal to a string that is the key of a field in the infobject that I want to read; i haven´t the dump but don't work. The value is blank.

What's ur purpose here ??
If u're gonna read some data in master data, instead of using function, why don't u directly select to master data table ???
Usually the table name is /BIC/PX
X: Master data name.
/BIC/ => Customized one.
But if you want to get the information regarding what the table is, you can open directly respective master data info-object, and you go to master data tab.
In over there, you'll see the box whose label is Master data tab.
You can use SELECT command in ur corresponding transfer/update rules..
SELECT *
FROM ..
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELD OF TABLE ..
WHERE ..

Invoking Discoverer Report from Zoom Menu Option

HI there
I've seen this on client site but never done it myself. Does anyone have any documentation or guidance on how to set up a form personalization so that the zoom menu option on a form links to a discoverer report, potentially passing parameter values to limit the data? Can forget the parameter side if it's complicated for now as we don't have any full requirements.

Zoom functionality is very simple just follow the bellow steps
• Enter the Form Personalization form. (M) Help > Diagnostics > Custom Code > Personalize.
• Rule Seq: 10
• Description: Create Menu Item
• Trigger Event: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
• Context: User and set the value to your user name (don't forget to do this for every Rule you define)
• Select the Actions tab
• Actions Seq: 10
• Type: Menu
• Menu Entry: SPECIAL31
• Menu Label: Discoverer Report
• Rule Seq: 30
• Description: Open Discoverer Report
• Trigger Event: SPECIAL31
• Context: User and set the value to your user name
• Actions Seq: 10
• Type: Builtin
• Builtin Type: Launch a Function
• Function Code: XXX---Function name
• Function Name: wil be defaulted from the code
• Save your work and exit all the forms.
Try it out!!!

Discoverer 4i

Does anyone know when this will be available and is there any documentation we can look at now? Discoverer 3i is missing much of the report forming contained in Discoverer 3.1.

I submitted a TAR to Oracle and here's what they said:
Discover 4i will be shipped with iAS CD packs in Feb, however the early adoptor v 4i will be placed on OTN by the end of this month Dec, and you can download it from technet.oracle.com.
Unfortunately ability to change Password feature is not included in Disco 4i , it is going to be included in the future release of Discoverer 9i which is going to be released in July.
Some of the new features in Disco 4i are:
