I agree and most big companies do as they used these as business fones.
I cant understand why such a good handset was discontinued without not bringing out an updated model.
Some years ago carfone warehouse managed to get hold of quite a few of them but sold out very quickley.
Now u can get them on sites that deal in refurbished models which im a bit wary of.

To the technical and design team Security feature Add a window for personal details for owner of the phone. Where one cannot use the phone the first time till they have input all this data and they can only change or remove it with a unique password provided on the CD Rom. Let these simcards be both active at any one time. Switching off and on of the phone frequently has an effect on the battery and this is what we mostly do/ or carry 2 – 3 phones around. I think having this feature will be excellent.

How is it more "functional" to create a thread open to any and every feature request subject--with no organization to it at all?
One of the reasons the Feature Request sub-forum becomes "useless" is the insistence of some people to create such ill-conceived catch all threads.
How is anyone served by a "whatever comes," batch of individuals' feature request lists
within the feature request forum--with no more subject organization than "This is the grab-bag that was started by some guy with a screen name of Rydog23"?
Don't you understand that for anyone to get any use out such a thread, they would have to read each and every post in it to see if a particular feature idea has already been mentioned?
What more assured way is there for a good idea (should one be suggested) to fall into a "black hole"?

3 Must have features for front-end developers
I'm a front-end developer, so these requests are more or less specific to my job.
Selecting an entire layer
Currently: If you do a "ctrl-click" on a layer, it selects the layer. However, if you have filters or effects applied to the layer, it does not select those.
The Problem: Since I cannot select the filters/effects, I have to zoom in on say a button with a drop shadow. I've been using png's heavily in my sites these days, and I want the drop shadow to be on a transparent background. It's difficult to zoom in and find the end of the drop shadow. You can change the transparency grid colors to help out, but it's still difficult and more importantly tedious and time consuming.
What I want: I would like the ability to select everything on a layer by doing a "shift-ctrl-click" or something. That way if I make a button with a drop shadow, I can select the button and the filters/effects that are applied to it. This would also give me the correct size of the layer as well, which is helpful information to me during html/css layout.
Organizing Groups/Layers
Currently: You can create groups from layers, or create a group then drag the layer into the group.
The Problem: When a PSD starts to get alot of layer/groups, it gets difficult to organize. If I create a new layer, or duplicate a layer group, my next step is to drag that group or layer into the proper group. My PSDs get very long, especially on homepage comps. I have to scroll up and down in the layers window to hunt for my group. Once I find the group I have to drag my new layers into it. This is annoying and clumsy.
What I want: I want to simply right-click on any layer, group, selected layers, or linked layers and in the right click menu, there should be a "send to" option. The send to should have a tree of the current groups. Then just choose the group you want and the layers/groups etc move there.
This will save me alot of time especially since my designers are lazy and don't organize things properly.
Copying layers/groups to other documents
Currently: To copy a layer/group from one file to another you have to take your files out of tab mode, then select, click and drag the layers/groups from one document to another.
The Problem: I really enjoy tab mode, and it seems pointless to have to drag the layers/groups from one file to another. There needs to be more ways to accomplish this.
What I want: I want to stay in tab mode, select my layers/groups and drag them to the tab I want to copy them to. So if I select a button, I should be able to simply drag it to another open file tab and it should copy those layers/groups to that file. Or another option would be to right click on the selected layers/group and do a have a "copy to" option where you can select another open document to send the layers/groups to.You can "send" layers & groups to another document with duplicate to the target document. Simply right-click the source layers in the Layers panel, choose Duplicate Layer...
and in Destination, select the target document. No un-docking and dragging. -
It's been such a long time in coming for a really major upgrade to Final Cut Studio. I'm eagerly anticipating the next release. I will be sorely disappointed if the next version doesn't have a filter for fixing rolling shutter. With so many people using DSLRs, it's a must have feature. I still can't believe that iMovie got that feature before FCP did. That really bugs me.
I would also like to see more options for making titles in FCP without having to go into Motion.
I would like to be able to vary the type size/style in one type layer without having create another type layer. It would make it easier to do scrolling titles and such. I also hope that DVD Studio Pro gets some new features. Version 7 is no different than version 6 as far as I can tell. I would really like to see Blu-Ray authoring support added, as well. I guess we'll find out in the next few months, or so.Hi Meshman:

Everything you've listed would be nice to have.
Ever since Motion 1 shipped, I've always wished that that application is what appears when you click the "Motion" tab in a FCP window.
For what it's worth, I create all of my static titles cards in Adobe Photoshop and all of my motion title cards in Adobe After Effects. I'll use Motion if I'm freelancing somewhere that doesn't have those applications.
I think we're in for something spectacular with the next release of Final Cut Studio. I, for one, am wondering what, if anything, Apple is doing with the source code to Shake. It's certainly been enough time since Apple purchased that application and subsequently discontinued it for us to be seeing the results in the world of digital video. Of course, while there may be some show stopping features, there may not be anything that you or I are hoping for.
It will also be interesting to see what happens with DVD Studio Pro. The specification for DVD-Video isn't going to change to support any new features and it's a format that's getting replaced by video on demand. HD-DVD is gone (and, the DVDSP implementation is something that plays back only on G5 or newer Apple computers running a relatively recent version of Mac OS X). So, something along authoring Blu-Ray or publishing to iTunes is what one could expect.

If you are not at iOS 5.1.1 and if you are have iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

If you are on level 5 but not at 5.1.1 you can update to 5.1.1 using Settings > General > Software Update.
There are still many Apps which will run on iOS 5. Also, some developers have older levels still available for the iPad 1. -
I have created an 100 page booklet in Pages, with many photographs, and much written word, can I export it to ePub, and make an electronic book, because it says that "Note: The Pages document must have been created using a word processing template"?....

One, must have, is a fixed f-stop. I really don't like lens that change there f ratio as you zoom them.
Sometimes you just don't have a choice. But fortunately, most of them are lower quality consumer lens and not “L”.
Second I really like a lens that doesn't change it's shape as you zoom it. A lot more difficult to find.
Even high end lens' do this.
The Canon 70-200mm F2.8 is quickly becoming my favorite lens of all time and I have been at this for 40 years. This lens has no peers. It is fantastic.
The Sigma 50-150mm F2.8 is running at close second. Not an "L", but not bad at all.

A MUST HAVE FOR ICHAT WITH iSIGHT!!!!!!
If anyone who buys an iSight to use with iChat or any other application you must get iGlasses! If you have ever thought that wow the video is really dark or boring you must try the demo atleast of iGlasses. I spent the 9 dollars or something and bought this program because i would be talking to my dad with all the lights off using the night vision feature.
