Discussion Group Error message

Question

I spent an hour typing in a contribution to the discussion group but receive the following message
Authentication Ticket Mismatched, failed authentication.
Return to your original page
What does this mean.   The contribution appear to be lost.

Hi Lanky10, welcome to the forums,
if I understand your experience correctly it may be due to the forum time out which I believe is set to 20 minutes; no activity such as clicking on a thread will end your session so as not to distort the members online statistics.
Usually an indicator if this is when the Autosave function throws a message that "an action could not be completed", (or similar).  What happens if you go back to the same point to re-post, is there a message similar to the one illustrated below?  If yes please select load.
