Scroll motion trigger/target bug

I have set up a scrolling page with a "tool tip" slideshow containging 5 trigger/targets. When I mouse over a trigger (to reveal the image which works) and then click that trigger it causes the page to "randomly" scroll up which is not the intended action. There are no anchors or hyprelinks (yet) associated with these triggers. Just the "over" function to reveal an image.
Unless I specify an anchor or hyperlink to that trigger it should remain "neutral" and not execute any type of action. Correct?

Trigger/target and html widget problem

hi! I created a 'blank composition', triggers change when rollover, my problem is that html widget I put in the first target dissapears after rolling over on 2nd trigger and never comes back again (after rolling on the first one more time) ...please help..!

This seems to be working fine on my end. The HTML box shows up everytime I hover over the same trigger. Can you confirm that the component in placed in the right place, in the target area of the composition?

Tool tip widget - adding new trigger/target to existing tips causes entire composition to jump off page

I have a composition with about 10 - 20 tool tips and when I add a new tip (using the button with the +) it places the new tip but causes the entire composition of all the tips to jump thousands of pixels away from where it should be on the page. I've been working around it by setting up a page where I do nothing but edit my tool tip composition and copy/paste it onto the page where it will be in the site. I can't figure out why adding additional tool tips would cause the entire composition to jump wildly – usually it jumps downward by about 2300 pixels. I've tried working on it where I let it jump (and don't place it back where it should be on the page, working on it where ever it lands) and I've tried placing back to the original location it each time it jumps but both ways still result in a giant move for the composition of tool tips.
Working on a 2013 MacPro, OS 10.10 in Muse CC 2014.2.1.10 (although this has been happening with every version of Muse on several different computers).

Yes, it is the Tool Tip widget (the dialog box just says "Composition"). Setting it to "Stacked" doesn't seem to make any difference when adding a new Tool Tip. When I click the "+" next to the last one, it adds the new trigger in a different place - usually the distance is the same as when I repositioned the last trigger. It does that for a few times, then it will position a new trigger far away from the area where I've been working. Sometimes it positions it entirely off the page.
Wish there was a way to know where it was gonna end up, better yet, wish there was a way to set where it ends up. Other widgets in the Composition group do this too, but they don't place the new triggers so erratically. In the calendar graphic, it will take all the Tool Tips & triggers, along with the grouped background art and move everything to a completely different location, hundreds of pixels away from the original position. I loaded everything onto another computer and it did the same thing. (BTW - I'm using Mac OS 10.8.4, MacPro & MacBook Pro) Frustrating...

Multiple target images for disjoint rollovers

I have one large image on the left that serves as the target
(area?) and 4 smaller images on the right that should serve as four
separate triggers. When moused over, each trigger should cause a
separate image to appear in the trigger area.
I've been successful using Fireworks to make that happen for
one trigger but can' only get on trigger/target to happen.
Can someone help me with this.

Don't do this in FW. The HTML that FW writes is really only
suitable for
proptyping. For production work, do such things in DW.

Hyperlink on a trigger won't open in a new window

I have set up a roll over trigger that reveals a target and it works great. The only issue is that the hyperlink I have assigned to the trigger will only work if I uncheck the "open in a new window or tab" box. If I check that box, nothing happens when I click the trigger, yet it's original function of revealing the target still works.

Partial trigger and required field

We developed an ADF JSF application which some of field has partial trigger .
Then we add some required field.
when runtime when we change any partial trigger target item all field validated and "required field missing message" occurs.
How can we prevent this behaviour ?
why all field controlled against partial triggered items?
is it normal?
How can we solve this ?

Hi,
in JDeveloper 11 the implementation has changed and the issue wont be the same in most of the cases. There also is a notion of subform that allows you to only submit the field of interest - not affecting any other field.

Trigger VBS Script on Folder Open Help

I am not a programmer. I learn as I go. I have been looking for a few days for a solution for what I want to accomplish. Basically I want to trigger a VBS script when a folder is opened. I have looked into using windows task scheduler but cannot figure out
how to set the trigger when a specific folder is opened. I have also looked into vbs folder lock scripts, thinking that I could modify one for my purpose, but they all reference creating a new folder with the script. The folder I want to apply this to already
exists. I already have the VBS script set up and operational. The script is for making the computer "talk".
This is what I am looking for:
Folder located at
C:\Users\username\Videos\targetfolder
When this folder is opened I want it to trigger target.vbs file containing this code:
strText = ("What I want the computer to say")
Set objvoice = CreateObject ("SAPI.SpVoice")
ObjVoice.Speak strText
So when the user clicks on the folder the VBS will be triggered and the computer will "say" what I have set it to.
Is there an easy way to do this? I feel like I have all of the pieces but cannot put them together. I should also mention, I want to accomplish this without installing any other software. I need this to work on windows XP, 7, 8.
Any advice would be appreciated.

As in, click on it to view the contents.
Right now I have the vbs file. I can double click on it and the computer "says" what I want it to say. I can double click on the folder and view the contents. I want both to happen at the same time.
Essentially, I double click on the folder to view its' contents and hear the audio from the vbs script.
Can't be done in a script. In C++ or a compiled program you can create a DLL hook process. With script we can only monitor the available events.

How do i create a button which will show new content on same page?

I have an image; it's a circle with different parts and different colors for each part. I inserted an image in this post.
I want to be able to make a button out of each part (will do this with Photoshop), BUT i want to have a text shown on the right from the wheel if you click on a particle of the circle. So i don't want it to go to a new page, but i want to have a textframe to pop-up when you click. And when you click on a different part of the circle a new text will occur (and the old one won't show).
Hope i made my question clear, english is not my motherlanguage so i'm sorry if my sentences are a bit weird.

Hello,
You can achieve this using a blank compostion widget ot a tooltip widget.
You would need to use "no fill" for the trigger containers so that they are transparent and then place them onto each portion of the image.
Now when user clicks on that portion of the image, the trigger above it gets clicked and in a target container you can have the text displayed.
The only issue here would be that the trigger containers would be of square/rectangular shape so you might not be able place them peroperly to cover all the sections of the image.

How to add an image to a link when rolling over

This is my first time working in muse, so I'm only just beginning to understand how to utilize the program. A goal of mine for my site is to have a small image of a flame pop up behind my links at the top of my page when you mouse over the link (instead of it simply changing colors or being underlined). I only want this effect on the header and footer navigational links though; not on any links that would be in the body text on the page.   I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

How to Add an image to an href link when using html

I am creating specific links that redirect to specific pages using java script and want to add an image instead of using text.   Here is an example of the anchor tag
<a href="***siteloklogout***">logout</a>
This is a logout function that redirects to the home page. Not sure how to attach an img. I have uploaded the image to the ftp but cannot get it to work.
Is there a way to attach links using the current hyperlink tool in Muse or is there a way to load the image asset into muse.

Need help identifying effect in RH8

Hello!
I recently installed RH8. I was looking at the Help (Adobe
Help Viewer 2) and found a cool effect in the Help that I would
like to use in my project, but I'm not sure what it is. It looks a
bit like a DHTML drop-down hotspot, except the hotspot is removed
when clicked.
Here's how it works: There is a hotspot phrase ("View full
size graphic") and a small graphic underneath. When the phrase is
clicked, the phrase and small graphic disappears and is replaced by
another hotspot ("View small graphic") and the large graphic. So
you can click back & forth, replacing the hotspot & graphic
displayed each time.
This effect can be found in the Adobe Help Viewer 2, under
Exploring the workspace>Workspace overview.
I'm not an expert, but when I've used the DHTML drop-down
hotspot, the hotspot remains on the window when clicked. I also
played around with the trigger/target, but I couldn't make that fit
the effect either, although maybe I'm not configuring it properly?

To add to what Colum said, I saw the post last night and
quickly looked at the page. Here is my own observation after
picking things apart.
Firstly, we all need to be aware that while the page is
presented using Adobe AIR, it's not part of AIR. Think of the AIR
help viewer as being similar to the browser, but specialized. I
believe in this case, it's kind of like a hybrid between the CHM
viewer and a Web Browser. Like the CHM viewer, it's a specialized
application for displaying content. But like a Web Browser, that
content simply exists as a collection of pages on a server. For
example, I can view the same page in my FireFox web browser using
the link below:

After picking the page apart, I determined that some
JavaScript is being used to provide that effect. And it's quite a
neat one! The JavaScript function seems to be titled
showHideImage and is found in a linked JavaScript file
called
help.js.
So here's the kicker. I do not believe the page in question
was created using RoboHelp. If it was, maybe this is a preview of
coming attractions?
If not, I would think that at least that function
should be added to RoboHelp among its many DHTML effects.

Partial Submit type something for InputDate Component?

I am using Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660. I have an ADF table inside my page fragement. One of the column inside table is of InputDate type. Whenever I am clicking input date my complete page fragment gets initialised or refreshed. I don,t want that because I have a method which is getting executed because of it again and again which is giving problem to me. Is their any Partial Submit type anything for Input Date component to resolve this.

As a tree stamps it's children (nodes) and each node can be different, a tree as such don't partial submit. The node content however can issue a partial submit.
You can also add an other component as partial trigger target in the node selection listener using
