I have been trying to get my pictures and videos from my new Samnsung Reality for about a month now and add music to it and everytime I plug the USB in ,it tells me I need a disk .Well I did not receive a disk when buying the phone and apparently without this disk ,it will not install to my computer right .
I am going out of town a week from today and would really appreciate it if I had music to listen to on my 8 hour drive .And ,my pictures and videos are piling up in my phone and on my card memory .I have never had this problem before with my last two phones from Verizon and didn't have a disk then either ,I don't understand what the problem is this time .

and I think the driver you linked to is not for the Reality but instead for a different model the Rogue u960. Unfortunately I don't see the Reality listed among the Samsung models at http://www.vzam.net/vcastmusic/Step2.aspx?manufacturerID=4
We have the u370 which is basically a re-release of the Reality. There's a link for a driver for the Reality u820 / u370 here: http://www.vzam.net/download/download.aspx
When you run the file, it will first install the driver:
"Installing Samsung Mobile USB Driver, this may take a few moments ..."
Then it will try to install a second component which has *not* been necessary for our needs called VZAccess Manager
"Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for VZAccess Manager"
Just click cancel to cancel the installation of VZAccess Manager.
Upon the driver being installed, we haven't had any problems transferring files back and forth between the phone and the computer.
I want to forewarn you about playing music on the Reality / u370. They have a bug which has never been addressed by Verizon or Samsung. There's no problem playing music through the speakerphone or through bluetooth headphones. But many many people including myself have reported that when you plug in either headphones or a headset to listen to the music that the phone will eventually freeze and/or suddenly be unable to be aware that there's a memory card inserted into the phone. If that occurs, you have to turn off the phone then turn it back on. There are some lucky people out there who have not encountered this bug while headphones or a headset are plugged in.

How do you make a bootable install partition from a disk image of an install disk.

I have an iMac g4 running Leopard and would like to install OS X 10.3 on a different partition Leopard is on. However the super drive in the iMac will not read the disk I have, so I used my MacBook Pro to make a disk image of the install disk to use to install on the iMac. I do not know how to make the disk image into a bootable partition so I can install 10.3. The person I bought it from has already created a partition of the Leopard install disk and it is bootable but I do not know how he did this. Please help me. Thanks!

Could be the cd is bad. Could be a bad cd reader.
I' not sure what you are trying to do.
To install,
-- you need to boot from a cd.
-- copy a working installation from another partition. try carbon-copy-cloner
-- could try target disk mode. There is a cd sharing mode.

Unable to load Disk 2 of CD install of Solaris 10

My platform is a Sun Ultra 60 sparc system.
I find it very disappointing that the SUN downloads do not install. Three or four years ago, I had the same problem with Solaris 9. The first disk installed fine, but not the second disk. I finally gave up and ordered the SUN disks, which installed fine.
My CD's are all correct. I made three copies of these disks from an iso image--each shows the correct files when read from a MAC and a PC.
I am unable to install disk two.
Is there a way to load these disks onto one of my hard drives, so that I can install from one drive to another? Presently I have Solaris 9 installed on disk 1 and the first disk of Solaris 10 installed on disk 2.

The graphic drivers do not seem to be the problem. I removed the open source driver and installed catalyst, but the result is still the same; the game starts if sound is blocked by smplayer, but not otherwise. I installed "lib32-alsa-plugins", as recommended in the steam wiki-page. I also installed all dependencies as specified in the Game specific section:

The problem remains the same. I've also tried running it from within the game folder, but it results in a steam window saying that I need to assure that steam is running and a user logged in (the same result whether I have steam running or not):

I'm using alsa as a sound system, could it be that steam and/or witcher 2 depends on pulseaudio?
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I of course have installed libcurl (i.e. the packages specified in the link above) and lib32-keyutils (The game doesn't seem to recognize this when started from the game directory...)

I gather it is normal for an OS installation to indicate it is preparing the h disk for a NetBoot install before it settles on preparing for a local booted install? Both entries have been logged.
The local install message is expected, but not NetBoot.

Let me rephrase:
After installing 10.6 from the Snow Leopard installation DVD, my install log shows both "Preparing Disk for Netbooted OS Install" and "Preparing Disk for a Local Booted Install" entries.
I was curious to know why? I don't do netbooting or any remote admin whatsoever.

I use CS5 and all of a sudden I am getting a notification that says there is an error with my icons. It's telling me to contact support or reinstall. The problem is I don't know where my disks are to re-install. Any suggestions?

"low disk space hp_tools" after installing HP external drive

I have this message displayed "low disk space hp_tools" after installing HP external drive with simple save. A new drive was created on my internal hard drive and apparently the allotted space is not enough. How do I get rid of the partition and the error message?

Seem to have froze up while doing a disk erase and new install...

In preparing to wipe clean my old powerbook to sell it off, I am running through a complete disk erase (booting from install disks). It has been running for several days now, and the progress bar is probably 70% of the way over, but I think it has stalled out. It went through writing random data, and is now mapping disk partition, but the pointer is the swirling rainbow (indicates low memory, right?), and I don't think there's been any progress for a day or so. Even though I had 10.4 on the machine, the boot disks are 10.3...
If it has stalled out, can i somehow restart the entire process, or what should i do to not totally screw things up? Even though i have the install disks in, I'm afraid that with the partition not being done, i won't be able to re-install the OS. I selected 1 partition for the erase, and did the 8-pass option. I have 768MB RAM in the machine...not a lot, that's why I'm wondering if i've somehow run out of sufficient memory to complete the operation.
Any suggestions on what i should do next? thanks.

I am attempting to purchase Dues Ex: Human Revolution which requires 17GB to run, I currently have 27.34GB free.
Even though I have 10GB more than the required space I still get the "There is not enough disk space available to install the product"

You need at the very least 15% free disk space. More if possible. Definitely not enough free space to install a 17GB app.

And make sure your Mac meets the app's minimum requirements which according to the App Store is Mac OS X 10.7.3 or later under Information right side of the App Store window.

Have this msg and in in the CM it is down.

You can't. How would you install it on an iPad? The disk you have is for a computer anyway and the iPad runs on a different operating system.
You can buy iWorks in the app store and install that on your iPad instead.

You need to temporarily free up additional drive space - the Yosemite download itself is just over 5GB and then it needs more space to install it. Once the new OS is installed the installer will be deleted. Music and movie files are large and will be the most convenient files to remove to an external drive.
On another note it isn't a good idea to try to run the computer with so little free drive space. Look for files you can offload to an external drive permanently. For example, I keep my music and movies on an external drive. You can keep a small assortment of music on the computer but save lots of space by keeping the regular media library off the computer.

When I buy a Mac Mini Server 2011, I replace the Mac OS X Lion bootable disk with a SSD and install Win7 64, the other internal disk is also used by windows.
Now I need write some code in Mac OS using XCode, I assembling the Mac OS X Lion bootable disk with a USB disk shell and plug in Mac Mini's USB port, when I power on the machine and press the ALT key, the firmware show the Max OS disk, but I stoped.
I want to know if I boot into Mac OS, will it damage the Win7 disk? Can I apply OS patch or upgrade firmware?
