Disk doctor error code of HD521 2W

I am unable to boot my HP m7360n. Safe boot tells me to run disk doctor which gives me the error code HD521 2W. Recommends that I do not restore my system. What's a person to do?
If I get a new Disk drive and use my existing as an alternate drive, can I restore the system onto the new drive?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
The error code you are getting indicates your Hard Drive is physically failing and will need to be replaced - you would not be able to use it as an alternate drive due to this failure. After replacing the drive, you can use your Recovery Discs to install the operating system on the new drive.

PC Doctor Error Code BIOHD-2

HP Pavilion FK484AV-ABA, model m4900t running windows 7 64 bit. RAID-1 setup.
PC crashed. Cannot restart. On cold boot, received the error message that RAID-1 and both hard drives failed. Ran PC-Doctor and received the following diagnostics:
CPU, Memory, all hard drives OK.
Boot Path Diagnostic
Error Code:     BIOHD-2
Warning:          No drives detected.
Suggestion:    Turn off system and verify the drive cables are securely attached.
Since PC-Doctor verified that both drives were OK, I am assuming that the cables also were OK. Any suggestions on what the problem may be??

Go into the BIOS to see if the drives are recognized. Post your results here.
That is an unusual condition for PC Doktor to report. Normally a BIOHD-2 error code means that a hard disk has failed, but I do doubt that both drives failed at once.

Recovery disks displaying error code 1005.

just installed a new hard drive, old one blue screened. when installing recovery disks, at 20% progress, an error code 1005 appears. press ok, then system starts again, yet same thing happens each time. not sure what is happening, nor how to fix problem. is it the disk, the new hard drive or ???

Once created, boot from it. Delete any hdd partitions, create one and format. Next try booting from Recovery again.

Can't burn CDRW for BootCamp drivers disk. Error code 0x000003E8

I know I previously burned the bootcamp drivers on this MacBook. Now I've upgraded Bootcamp to the latest beta today (1.2) I can't burn the drivers disk! I have gone through 3 different CDRWs and they all fail! (I started with erasing the older drivers CDRW and the erase went fine.., then reburned it and it failed so I pulled out two never used CDRWs and they both failed too!)
Here is the very cryptic message I get:
Burn Failed
The burn to the MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-857 drive failed. 0x000003E8
Has my drive died? Could three CDRWs in a row all be bad? They are 4x-12x rated Philips. The bootcamp software showed it was trying to burn at 10x speed (but it was greyed out so I couldn't change the speed to anything slower).. Does anyone have a clue what's going on here?

Well, trying CD-Rs will not really solve the error because as I discovered, the RWs that Boot Camp told me failed to burn actually burned just fine! I discovered before trying to reerase them and try burning them with a different application that the contents were all proper and in tact. It is Boot Camp's error. I am going to mark this as solved and leave feedback for the Boot Camp team about the error. Thanks for your input.

It means you hard drive is failing. From Vidya (HP) read the following then the link he posted.
You maybe able to perform the task of creating the recovery disks, use DVD+R media only. You might be able to use Easy Transfer to copy your data (documents,photo's, music, settings) files to an external device (based on capacity). The new drive must be equal or larger than your present hard drive. For the best scenerio, please do not exceed a 2TB HD.
If the drive does not contain errors at this time, you might consider the above as "first response", but try to perform a CLONE using available free software. Both Seagate and Western Digital (WD) provide it via their websites. It's called Disc Wizard.

Informal poll: If you got error code HD521-*W, which harddrive mfg?

While looking for help with error codes HD521-2W and -3W, I just started wondering if it could be a drive manufacturing issue. The short answer might be that HP only installs a certain brand in their machines, but if they install more than one brand, I'd like to see how many of these errors are attributable to the mfg'er of the one I have, Seagate.
Add yours to the thread if you like. Mine is a 750GB SATA Seagate 7200 rpm... only 4 years old.

The error code indicates that either the hard drive is faulty or it will shortly become faulty. This is irrespective of the brand the error code generated by the HP Diagnostics installed on your system.

OraRRP Error with "Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space"

Hi,
Some users get this message -"Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space" when run report with orarrp, but most users do not get it.
I check free space at both server and client side, they are very sufficient.
I also checked directory exists for REPORTXX_TMP variable.
My user call reports via URL (rwservlet) and it occur for all reports.
How I can solve this problem?

have the same problem now. One user has temporarily problems to download .rrpa files via URL (rwservlet) request. Error code: -"Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space". Did you get a solution??

I tried to empty the trash, full of back up file from my hard disk and it just says: "The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003)"

I have an external hard disk of 319.73 GB that I use as back up memory and where I put all the movies and other files that I can't leave on the computer as they occupy too much memory space . One day I was deleting all the previous dated back up to have more space on it , but had to stop the trash for doing it cause it was taking too long and now every time that I try to empty the trash it just says "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003)" and even if I press CONTINUE it won't empting it . I'm not really pratical with this things and I tried already to find out the solution here and on Google but apparently nobody ever had a similar error code and I don't know what else to do.
I've a MacBook Pro with a Mac OS X 10.6.8 Version.

VDS fails to launch provider {CA7DE14F-5BC8-48FD-93DE-A19527B0459E}. Error code: 80072498@0200000C ( Not able to open disk management )

Hi,
This is happening on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 server. When we try to open Disk Management it would stay there with a message " connecting to virtual disk service " and after a while the message changes to " Unable
to connect to Virtual disk service ".
The disk management view stays blank with no drives shown in it. And the following error is registered in System event log -- " VDS fails to launch provider {CA7DE14F-5BC8-48FD-93DE-A19527B0459E}. Error code: 80072498@0200000C "
The VDisk service is set to manual and stopped as it is supposed to be.
An application called " PI System " is installed on the server. We noticed that if we stop the " PI Application services " and reboot the server the disk management opens up fine. Has any one faced this or a similar

Lets start with updating the drivers and confirm you have the latest VDS patch updated from the link.
You cannot cancel a shrink operation on a volume in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

Install error on CC and ERROR code 50. Also AE would crash due to full disk cache and close unable to select from menu to change.

I have recently installed and used Creative Cloud and also install several applications. The apps and cc ran fine but Adobe AE would crash upon startup of the app in which is prompted a message stating ...the drive which it is installed on does not have enough memory or disk cache is full. Please change in preferences. I attempt to do so but AE shuts down after I select ok. I installed the cleaner tool and uninstalled all Adobe products and attempted to reinstall creative cloud and now I get a "...We've encountered the following issues: Creative Cloud desktop failed to install. (Error code:50)
I have been trying to resolve this issue for three weeks now which I did finally get it to work by opening the AE by selecting a AE file. I was able to use it 3 times for the amount charged for the monthly fee and I also downloaded several of the other apps but was
unable to use them due to this issue then uninstalled with Adobe cleaner tool!
PLEASE HELP!

I have tried to install on another drive after downloading Creative Cloud clean-up and uninstalled all adobe creative cloud. So if I erase my temp folders it might work?
Please help I have basically paid for my 2nd month and only used a few times.

Bootcamp error code when installing drivers from lepard disk

hello everyone
ive just tryed to install windows on my new mbp and it was all going great till i put in the lepard disk to install the drivers
the disk starts up and appairs to start inputing the new drivers when is stops and tells me there is an error "code 2753"
im not sure what to do next to fix this anyone have any ideas?

Error code -36 on Time Capsule w/ disk image

I am getting this error:
"The Finder cannot complete the operation because some of the data in "_Insert file or folder here_" could not be read or written." (Error code -36)
I have set up a 1gb Time Capsule with a 650gb disk image (for general disk use) & 300gb for Time Machine. The Time Machine back-ups are working fine. I cannot copy anything to this newly-made disk image, though. Any ideas?

Did you partition and format the flash drive first? See the following:
Make Your Own Mavericks, Mountain/Lion Installer
After downloading the installer you must first save the Install Mac OS X application. After the installer downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing.
2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your flash drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the leftside list. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list.
Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to an hour depending upon the flash drive size.
Make your own Mavericks flash drive installer using the Mavericks tool:
Mavericks has its own built-in installer maker you use via the Terminal:
You will need a freshly partitioned and formatted USB flash drive with at least 8GBs. Leave the name of the flash drive at the system default, "Untitled." Do not change this name. Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder. Copy this command line after the prompt in the Terminal's window:
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction
Press RETURN. Enter your admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed to the screen so be careful to enter it correctly. Press RETURN, again.
Wait for the process to complete which will take quite some time.

HP G62-357CA Recovery Disk Error code OxeOef000e

I am trying to recover my HP notebook G62-357 and when I am on the second disk it is giving me the following error. Can anybody please help.
"Recovery Manager could not restore your computer using the factory image. Please contact HP Support.
Error code : OxeOef000"
I am using Windwos 7 operting system, and these recovery disk are the original ones came with the system, were never opened or used, so I do not think any issue with the CDs itself.
Just so you know I am out of the warranty, so can't call HP. Any help is appreciated.

Clear now. Your created recovery disk will not be supported on your unit. You need original HP recovery kit (708649-DH1) to recover your unit. Please share privately your name/address/phone and RCD kit will be shipped to you.
