Disk upgrade to Apple TV, Any News

Question

Well, my Apple TV is full and no I do not want to selectively choose which music, photo's or movies that I do not have access to.
So how is Apple going to satisfy the customers whom have jumped in feet first to the Apple TV promise with either a box same size etc with a 1TB disk that connects to Apple TV and extends the disk capacity or allows you to network them all and still have a single library from the on screen experience.

yes you do need to have your computer on with iTunes opened to stream to appleTV.. which mine is anyway so makes no difference to me there.
in the use case... i've tested it and you cannot tell at all which files are synced or not synced, so in terms of use it's not any better or worse to play a synced file or a streamed one... doesn't start play any faster, rewind or fast forward any better or worse... so there is no benefit there.
it's not like having a DVI attached to your computer since.. for one, if you did that a person in my office couldn't use the computer for another use if i was watching a movie and vise versa, you could't rent HD movies, you couldn't selectively sync some content if you do need to take your computer away or turn it off for some reason, you'd need to have a huge long DVI cable and run wires or have a computer, mouse and keyboard etc in your living room.. i have a Dual 2GHz G5 that just howls at times... i don't want that in my living room... and my wife would likely divorce me if i tried
it's a cool little device.. and for me anyway, i see syncing as a big headache and a complete waste of my time.. when for all practical purposes streaming essentially makes my appleTV act like has 2TB of storage on it anyway.
if the rumors of Apple producing a media server that can be access by appleTV, iPod Touch and iPhone anywhere, MobileMe etc are true, i think that would be even better but appleTV and streaming works pretty **** good for me right now.
if my only computer was a laptop and i took it with me every day and i had other people in the house it might not be that good or if you really object to leaving your desktop on all the time but other than that streaming works pretty good. even so i might actually just buy a really cheap computer (old mini or something for $100) and just run iTunes on it and attach my drives to it.. i just don't have any use for or want a computer in my living room... if i want to check something online or check email while i'm in the living room i just wip out my iPod touch, i even have vnc on my iPod touch so even if i want to do something on my computer i can do it from my iPod Touch and be lazy and no get my butt off of my chair to walk to the other room...
