Dispaly of CGM Images

Hi,
We have requirement to disply images with .cgm extension in iStore. Based on my research, found that CGM images cannot be viewed directly on a browser unless we have some software or plug-ins.
Any thoughts on how to enable viewing of CGM images in a browser.

Java Imaging API for Displaying CGM IMAGES along with Hotspot on Applets

Are there any java imaging API's which displays the CGM Images on Applets? The CGM Image has Hotspot keys built in. So the Image displayed through Applet should also display the Hotspot keys.
Also any Event Handler API's when the hotspot key is clicked?
It would be great, if anyone can send any link regarding this subject

Can't open .CGM images

According to documentation, Illustrator is supposed to able to open .cgm files, but I can't open a ton of images I have on CD. These are from a pretty old version of PrintMaster Gold for Windows, released sometime after Windows '95. I don't use the program, but in the past have often used the artwork for various projects.
Every time I try to open any of these files, Illustrator tells me the file is in an unknown format. I've tried for Mac:
AI CS4
AI CS2
AI CS
For Windows:
AI version 8
None of them will open the files. I can find numerous programs for both Mac and Windows that will view them no problem. Why can't Illustrator open them? A long time ago, I had Illustrator 4 for Windows which opened the exact same files with no problem.
My goal is to open and convert them through an action to a newer format, if I could open the things. There are quite a few fairly inexpensive Windows programs I found that can do it, but I should be able to do this in Illustrator without buying another app.

No I have not reformatted the internal drive with OSX Tiger yet as I want to try and recover files from it. I have an external drive with three partitions all of which have Tiger installed on them as well. The main one I'm using called iMac Extra serves all my needs.
It's okay problem solved:
I fixed the problem of Disk Utility crashing and regular disk images not being able to open.
I remembered from awhile back that their is a problem with certain Stuffit Expander versions. So dumped the Stuffit.cm bit in the trash and replaced it with another one. Restarted my Mac back up and Disk Utility works and disk images now open up for me.
Also wasn't able to select Disk Image Mounter for the apps that weren't showing up right as it was faded out. It's in System>Library>Core Services and to get it active I clicked Enable all Applications up top in the window instead of Enable recommended apps and was able to select it.

How to use add image in HTML tag

Hello frndz
i m working on text chat application in adobe air.using <mx:html/> tag for dispalying text and images(smiley).but the font size fo flex is diffrent and html diffrent.i mean i m using 10 font size but it looks too large on <mx:html/> component.is there any way to cast them in same size.
The second and major problem is that it can not add images to html tag.when i m giving images like:-private var txt:String="<img src='src\smily\tongue.gif'/>" .
it shows nothing but when i give images through http path it shows images on html componenet.
can any body explain me the problem.

FrameMaker CGM Filter problem

I have the latest FrameMaker CGM filter installed on my machine (downloaded from the PTC website (formerly ITEDO). However, when I convert an SGML file that has CGM images referenced in it, FrameMaker returns errors that there is insufficient memory to import the image and as a result of this it omits the graphics element and invalidates the structure. The images itself are <1kB, so the size should not be a problem. However, I noticed a problem a while ago that the CGM filter doesn't handle CGM files that have a transparent background very well. Are there any plans between Adobe and PTC to update the filter?

From my perspective just one gig of RAM is barely minimal -- with RAM being fairly cheap these days it would definitely be worth seeing if you can add more to your system (if, of course, the gods of the IT dept. are in your corner <g>) The seeming inconsistency of the problem occurring is one indication that "something" isn't right with the system, either because there's not enough RAM to start with, or there's a memory leak on the system, or that you don't have enough free disk space for Windows / FM to properly render the graphic display. I don't know what the specifics are for CGM, but many graphics formats need an inordinately huge amount of swap space on the system in order to display correctly because they're a compressed format. Better results when you're replacing one graphic for another doesn't really work as a conclusive test, there could be something ideosyncratically intensive in the first file that is avoided in the second one. I don't have any specific references for this, but it seems to me that rendering transparency is a fairly "processor intensive" graphic operation, so by turning off transparency you may be avoiding the issue in some graphics but not in others. ECL Viewer Redlining does not work in cFolders for PDF

Hi,
I am using cFolders 4.5 with ECL viewer 6.0 patch level 4. Redlining functionality works for AutoCAD and graphics files such as JPG. However, when I try to use the redlining functionality on a PDF I get the message "This feature is currently not supported. Please contact your cFolders system administrator. The ECL viewer will shut down".
Any ideas on why this is happening. Is there anything specific I need to do to enable redlining for PDF files on cFolders.

To get the functionality, you have to change the code of BSP page

please upload this to your WebDAV (replace the old one and save this under a different name as
backup). The way to access WebDAV is explained in the cFolders configuration guide, chapter 'Creating the Settings URL for WebDAV Access' (the guide is attached to note 973764).

I have just moved from PC windows base to macbook. I have files like powerpoint files/movie files that I am unable to open. I tried Flip4mac and it won't open. These are the only ones I am not able to access since moving. Cannot find any discussions on these.(mostly received in email as attachments on Outlook

There are thousands of file types found on the Internet and elsewhere these days, and figuring out what you can use when presented with the OPEN WITH dialog can be confusing.
Some formats are fairly common and will open in multiple applications, and some are completely proprietary and will only open in the software that created them. How to display an .swf frame when movie is off?

I'm wondering how to dispaly either an image or a frame from an swf when the movie is not playing. Any info appreciated. Thanks!

An swf is never really off if it is being displayed. But if you want something to display when there is nothing happening in the file, then just have it sit in a frame with whatever content you intend displaying.

Problem in dispalying the image !!!!

Here i'm reading the contents of the file and displaying the image in the jsp as well as the contents of the file. For displaying the image i'm retrieving the image from the file. I've written the following code but it is showing the error, i'm not able to catch it. Could anyone help me out please !!!!

Purchase Document Item Data Source fullfills the requirement of the PO activity, i mean PO created which has PO date and PO amount.
Let me tell you my situation in detail:
The requirement is like this:
The report should contain all the procurement activities and report should display the three different scenarios of Procurement cycle:
1) Only PO done
2) Only PO and GR done.
3) PO,GR and Invoice all done.
and all scenario should be in one report i.e., if PO only done, then the GR and Invoice should show blank and similarly for others.
So I tried the following things in DEV.
1) Custom DSO which gets loaded from 2LIS_02_ITM( for PO Information - PO date,PO Number , PO Amount) and 2LIS_02_SGR( for GR information - GR Number, GR date)
2) 0LIV_DS01 (BI content) loaded from Invoice verifcation datasource 2LIV_06_INV.
Then Created Infoset(Custom DSO Left Outer Join 0LIV_DS01 ) and then checked the report but it doesnt fullfill all the scenario's of the Reporting as mentioned above..i.e., the report only shows the data only when Invoice done for the particular PO.
So was trying to Build 3 Custom DSO's ( As similar to the SAP Business One Standard BI content DSO's 0SBO_O0,0SBO_O1,0SBO_O2) and then load it to the Cube and check whether it meets the requirement and so wanted to go for Generic Datasource..
So, Can you please give your some valuable time to help me out in this situation and Correct me if have approached any long way ....and suggest to how to proceed?

Passing a value to p_body, but not p_body_html results in a plain text message. Passing a value to p_body and p_body_html yields a multi-part message that includes both plain text and HTML content. The settings and capabilities of the recipient's email client determine what displays. Although most modern email clients can read an HTML formatted email, remember that some users disable this functionality to address security issues.
This means you just have to put in your p_body a part with
<img src="refer the picture">

Image is not DIspalied

I am devloping a online question bank. For that only when i want to edit an question if thr is any question i want to edit that. For that i want to see that first. SO i cant put that image inside the war file. If i out that out side its not showing. When i check the properties of the main in UI. it shows NOT Avalaible.
and i retrive that iamge path runtime

but by this way thje image is not showing in pop up window.

That's because the <img> tag you posted there doesn't contain the URL of the image. It contains the file path of the image on the server, which means absolutely nothing to the browser trying to access it.
If the image is in your WAR file then its URL is simply its name, or something very much like that. It's easiest to use a URL that's relative to the page that's linking to the image. (You seemed to be saying you couldn't put the images in the WAR file because you had to look at them first. That doesn't make any sense to me. So look at them and then put them in the WAR file.)

I have a simple problem, hope somebody could help me!
I would like to display images from a LONG RAW type column of an Oracle database (Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.6.0.0) in a BC4J application. I use JDEV 9.0.3.
The wizard generated entity object's attribute type for the image field is raw, i could not find the LONG RAW type in the java types. The maximun size of the raw type is 2000 bytes, so my app can not handle and display large images. How could i solve this problem? Pls help me!
I have read the otn forum tips, but they did not help me :((

You may try mapping your column to BlobDomain!
If that doesn't fit the need, you'd have to create a similar LobDomain (see BlobDomain.java source in bc4jdomorcl.zip) for LongRawDomain so that it uses streamnig apis to fetch data from jdbc rather than using a column-value fetch.

Smartforms : images not dispalyed in the portal

Hi,
When I execute a smartform in the backend, all images in my smartform are displayed.
But when I want to view the same smartform through the portal, the images are not displayed.
Do anyone of you have an idea why this strange behavior occur.
