Dispaly problem with Visio

i bought my Zen Vision: M back at around Christmas ad periodically the screen would be half white and the other side would have thin white lines running across it. I would just restart or turn it off and then back on again and it would be back to normal. But after it being stuck in Recovery mode for the past month or so it recently came out of that and now no matter what I do i still have that screen problem i mentioned before. Anyone have an idea of what's wrong and how to fix it's

Problem with Visio Plug-in Rendering All Layers

Hey everyone
I've been beating my head against a wall and I'm in need of some major help. I have a Visio diagram that has a lot of layers. I have 2 generations of this diagram. The first generation works without any issue. The second one, however fails miserably.
I built the first generation in Visio 2007. I came to find out there is a maximum amount of layers I can put in a '07 document so I switched to 2010. Now i have the second generation document complete. I have Acrobat Pro X installed. The (XI version doesn't allow you to select "Retain some layers in the selected page").
When I build my second generation visio, selecting only the layers that I want to retain, it spits out this image... It puts every single layer on the output of the screen. None of the "eye" buttons are selected. This is not normal behavior. In addition for 2 of the layers, the text is not in bold and it is in standard text format. how did this happen?
Here is a screenshot from my first generation visio diagram. Notice when i first open it up, only the background is shown. all the other layers are hidden because the "eye" has not been selected.
I need to know what I can try to get this to output correctly like the first generation.
FYI. Acrobat X and XI do not work with Office 2013 32-bit from my testing. I could never get the plug-in to show up. It was impossible to enable. In addition, the XI plug-in does not allow you to select "Retain some layers in the selected page" from Visio 2010 when saving as a PDF. Very disappointing.

so i figured out my workaround.... Whomever at Adobe that is charge of QA and testing for the integration with Visio should be fired...
To make this work, I have to have multiple instances of Visio. I work on the diagram in Visio 2010, save it, then close. When I'm ready to export the diagram into Acrobat for the layered PDF, I have to open the Visio document with 2007 and then use Acrobat X to export it.
1. Acrobat XI doesn't work with either Visio 2010 or 2013 (never tried it with 2007). It doesn't allow you to select layers to retain when exporting
2. Acrobat X doesn't work with Visio 2013. The plug-in consistently crashes. Only XI is shown but it suffers the symptom of #1.
3. Acrobat X doesn't properly export layers in Visio 2010.
4. Acrobat X and XI plug-ins for Visio will only work with 32-bit versions of Microsoft Office.
shame on Adobe for your lack of integration testing.

Sharepoint files (xlsx) connection with VISIO

Hi, I have a problem with VISIO. I can't connect Excel file from SharePoint with VISIO.
I have all files in one folder (visio - vsdx and excel - xlsx) on the SharePoint
and I see excel file in VISIO and I can choose it.
But when I try to connect excel file with VISIO, I see error 80004005
But I don't know why. I can edit excel file one the SharePoint.
In the past someone switched on encryption mode in SharePoint on the folder, where I have files.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to connect Excel file from SharePoint with Visio.
Visio Services uses the diagram viewer's SharePoint Server credentials to connect to an .xlsx Excel workbook. For the authentication operation to succeed, the following conditions must be met:
Excel Services must be provisioned correctly and configured on the SharePoint farm.
The workbook must be hosted on the same farm as the diagram.
The diagram viewer must have at least "read" permissions to the Excel workbook

Problem with uploading files with DMR (rights management) included in them to a Zen Visio

Hi,
I though I had got this fixed but nope still having problems so hope you clever people can help me out.
I have the ZVM and it is great, I have been able to transfer movies, CD's, photos all with no problem with a music track taking approx 2-3 seconds. However when using music files with DMR (those from HMV's music rental - this is the reason I bought the player) have big problems in transferring. I have been in touch with the tech guys at HMV and they took me through a firmware upg, re-installation of the Creative software updating the licenses in the music files and then lastly a format. Just after the format it looked as if everything was working fine however things started to slow down and now I am struggling to get tracks over. Again this is only those with DMR and all normal files (music, video, photo) go on fine. I only have 4Gb used so I can't see it is down to that.
Are there any other things I can look at doing or is the player useless for the reason I bought it's

Thanks Jason that seems to have helped a bit. I can now transfer using the Creative M Series Media Explorer software but not with Windows Media Player. Also when I try to use the Creative Sync Manager it is crashing out every time. My concern is that without the latter working how will I easily get the files on the ZVM updated so that the DRM does not stop the files playing (also I would just like everything working properly!!). Any further suggestions?

Sound problems with my Visio

Hi, I have read that people are having sound problems with their Vision M players, hissing etc.
I wonder if anyone has had the problem I have - I cannot alter the volume! When I plug in either headphones or portable speakers into the M, using the touch pad has no effect on the volume. If I unplug it the touch pad then alters (or appears to) the volume - judging by the scale on the right of the screen. Plug the phones back in again and I get the same one level of volume.
Also, the screen goes blank when I plug in phones or speakers.
I am an MP3 player virgin and have no idea if the fault is mine or not.
I bought my Vision M from Amazon, who very quickly sent me a replacement when I contacted them - even before I had returned the original. But the replacement has the same problems.
Any comments would be welcome.

woggydog, thats what happens when your plugging outputs into the Audio/Video out socket of the player using the dock or supplied connector... it goes into line Out Mode, which cuts out audio from changing since the amplifier would be able to control this on a sound system.
The one that shouldn't do this is the one on the top right of the player.

Problems with battery Zen Visio

Hi,
This thing is doing my head in now. Had my Zen Vision M for about 3 months and had nothing but problems with it. These days everytime i try and charge the battery it stays the same sometimes for hrs without the bar even moving. The creative program you get to transfer files keeps crashing. After a while of transfering it will come up with a message unable to transfer but the vision m still looks likes it's transfering and you have to reset to switch it off. It's so frustraing as i just can't be bothered transfering anything anymore as it's just a nightmare to.
Also when transferring an album that is an ehanced cd with a video or something on it the creative explorer will not transfer the last song of the album ,presumably the one with the media file on.
I'm thinking of selling it on ebay and getting an ipod.
Anyone with me?

Try Upgrading your firmware of the playerGo download section and leech the latest version there. If that still doesn't helps, i'll suggest you to exercise ur warrenty :smileytongue:

Software problems with the zen visio

hey,
i just got the zen vision m yesterday. very nice day.
today after finding out that the player works well i decided to upload some more music and pictures then i did yesterday, but everytime the zen media explorer hangs itself up i uninstalled all the software and then reinstalled it, but again i didn't work when it comes to the upload
i'm clueless, is this a common problem and are there any other software or a new uptdated software versions, which may help me?
i really really want that player to work, because the -2 hours i got with it were great
i got the zen m 30 gb working on windows xp home...

I use Widows XP Professional SP3 and Windows XP Professional x64 SP2 with medially .
I can't see why this matters because the problems are located at the player itself, I've got no
problems with moving files to the player or any problems with connecting the player with the computer,
I'm experiencing a lot of freezups of the firmware of the player, harddisk keeps running, it does that
till the battery is low or till I push reset, sometimes this doesn't help at all, the operating system at
the harddri've gets somehow damaged by the instability of the filesystem, reflashing the firmware helps
the. Problems appear to be a software problem with the firmware, the player went away for repairs once,
with this problem, they have checked the harddisk, harddisk was fine but the os crapped up it's self
somehow, know this because I asked them to tell me every thing what was wrong and how they solved this,
asked them also how I could fix the player myself? if it was no hardware problem.
They told me to reflash the firmware and format the dri've from the service mode out.

If i use the same test.jsf along with tiles and open it, then its dispalying all the elements but when i click on commandbutton.. nothin is happening.

Problem with Digital Editions page view

I used Digital Editions on two books just recently and was able to fit each page of the ebook to it's full height from top to bottom.
I just downloaded my third book to DE, and I can't seem to find the button to fit each page to their full heights (top/bottom). Instead, it's stuck on dual-page view. The single-page view button option isn't even there on the third book, but IS there on the first two books. I downloaded a fourth book and it's experiencing the same problem; stuck in dual-page view with no single-page option.
If I try to re-size the DE window to force it into a single page view, the page numbers are all messed up appearing at random spots of each page rather than at the top right where they are suppose to be.
I re-installed DE but the problem still persists. Is this a problem with the books in specific? Or something else?

"There is a problem with your account..." when opening online OneNote file within local OneNote app

We have a tenancy DirSync connection a small number of staff so that they can have access to SharePoint, Visio and OneNote Online. When one such user logs onto the http://[groupsite].sharepoint.com site on his Windows 7 PC with Office 2013 installed,
he can access the site successfully. He might then open a OneNote file online. However, if he was to then click the "Open In OneNote" button from the toolbar, and clicked "Yes" to the Microsoft OneNote Security Notice:
"Microsoft Office has identified a potential security concern. This location may be unsafe".
... and then sign in with the same account to this box
... and then enters his correct credentials into the next "Sign In" window, it returns with the following message:
"There is a problem with your account. Please try again later".
Finally, the following message is returned within the MS OneNote app:
"We couldn't open that location. It might not exist or you might not have permission to open it. Please contact the owner of onenote:https://[groupsite].sharepoint.com/sites/....one#SharePoint Team Site for more information."
The user has reinstalled MS OneNote 2013 on the PC with no change. We have also removed all cached credentials from within Windows Credential Manager and rebooted with no success. The user can access all web-based resources such as SharePoint, OneNote and
Visio, and he can open web-based Visio files locally on the locally-installed Visio app with no issues. This problem is specifically experienced when opening an online version of OneNote locally on a PC that has either MS OneNote 2010 or OneNote 2013.
Any assistance that you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

My Windows Account is already used to log into OneNote. It is the same Windows Account used to log into, and access online, the SharePointOnline, OneNote Online, etc., services. I tried, indeed, to sign out from my account within the client-version of OneNote
but it returns the message "We can't remove Windows accounts".
Again, this is the only account that has been used with this installation of OneNote, and it is that which has been uploaded by way of DirSync to Azure. It works for online versions of OneNote items, SharePoint and Visio, and for VisioOnline-based files
that are opened within the local client-version of Visio. When trying to open the OneNote Online notebook within the local client-version of OneNote we get this issue.
I have reinstalled Office with no success.
Any help that you can provide in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Office 2013 with Visio and Project Error - Package manifest is invalid

In July I successfully created an App-V install of Office 2013 VL using the ODT. This week I decided to try just doing Visio as we don't install it or Project on all systems. I used my same customconfig.xml and just changed the ProPlusVolume to VisioProVolume
and changed the source path. Everything downloaded and packaged fine. I was able to import into SCCM just fine and create a deployment to my test collection. However when I run the install out of Software Center I get (as part of a much longer error) the message
in AppEnforce.log that the package manifest is invalid. Thinking that maybe I had to include Office as long with Visio I tried packaing all three items but still get the same error. Has anyone else seen this behavior and/or ideas how to fix it? Can I sequence
just Visio or just Project? I'm including my config.xml just in case I've got something wrong with it that I haven't caught. Thanks

I'm trying to create na app-v package (v.5 SP2) of Office 2013.
I downloaded the Office Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run from here:

I installed it into C:\Office2013pck shared that folder as
\\APPVMANAGER\Office2013 and mapped as Z:\.
I changed the configuration.xml file to:

When I tried to add the package to App-V Server (in the Console) I get the following error:
An unexpected error occurred while retrieving AppV package manifest. Windows error code: 1465 - Windows was unable to parse the requested XML data.
I tryied to publish it from powershell, getting the same error message agalluci image post shows.
From the Event Log I got this additional information:
There was a problem retrieving the requested package \\APPVMANAGER\AppVpck\Office\VisioProVolume_ProPlusVolume_en-us_x86.appv for import. Error message: Unspecified error
Element '{http://schemas.microsoft.com/appv/2010/manifest}UsedKnownFolders' is unexpected according to content model of parent element '{http://schemas.microsoft.com/appx/2010/manifest}Package'.
I haven't found any indication of which file is the manifest app-v file.
I also haven't found any .xml with the "UsedKnownFolders" tag (I changed the .appv package extension to .zip and explored some of the files).
I tryied creating a package for 32 and 64 bits, only office, office and visio, and office visio and project running Windos 7 and Windows 2012.

Problem with L193pC display: not coming on intermitently

Hi,
I have a problem with my new L193pC ThinkVision display. My setup is this:
- Lenovo laptop 3000 N200 0769-A8U with Windows XP and all the latest updates installed
- Lenovo L193pC display hooked up to the laptop's analog output
This is a work environment. I use this display in a dual screen setup along with the laptop's display. I Hibernate and take home my laptop every night, connect it back and resume from hibernation to the display every morning. Sometimes the L193 simply won't come on. The green power led is on but the dispaly itself is off. More problematic: when this problem occurs, turning off the display using the power button does not work!!!! It simply won't turn off. Pressing the power button has no effect. The only solution to this problem is to unplug the power to the display and plug it back in!!!! Not very nice.
If this information has any value: this morning when it happened I had used my laptop at home last night and the settings where for single display, the laptop's hi-res mode, on power up. Then I switched to my dual screen setup using the Fn-F7 presentation director software and selected my dual screen setup.
Is this the right place to report this problem? What other step should I take to get this problem resolved? Are there any firmware upgrade for these display?

Early 2011
Last night's flashlight test, couldn't see anything, so not a backlight issue.
Inspected and re-seated the video connector once more, no cable injuries to report.
Was still having issues getting the display to power on.
So I booted into recovery, if I closed the screen at first power up and then reopened it at the recovery language window, the internal display would start working.
Lightbulb moment! Some sort of weird EFI + OS trigger was failing.
Digging deeper, I found that the hard drive was set up as an encrypted partition and I think that this was the primary source of the issue.
So now I am decrypting so that I can image the disk and re-install a clean unencrypted Yosemite.

Something to add to the troubleshooting kb, a messed up encrypted disk can affect/prevent the powerup of the screen.

Problem with non modal ADM dialog

I have problem with focus and mouse and keyboard event passing to non modal dialog if some modal window was opened and closed on Windows platform.
I have this problem in my plugin, but also I did some tests with SDK WordFinder Plugin.There are 2 dialogs open there : CountDialog-non modal dialog and PromtDialog-modal one. I commented all lines in function DeleteCountDialog to leave this dialog on the screen. So, first, when "create page map" menu is selected, CountDialog is appearing and stays on the screen. At this stage, it can be moved and get focus when is clicked.After that, I click on "find word by word offset" and then PromtDialog is appearing. when I close Promtdialog by clicking on OK or Cancel, CountDialog is "freezing" - means, it can not be moved and does not get focus when I click on it.
Is it known problem ? Is there is some workaround there ?

I did changes as you recommended, but still have the same result.
So I have WordFinder from Acrobat SDK 8 with only one file changed:WordFinderDlg.cpp - see below.The result is the same:
1. I open Acrobat->Open some file
2. Click on "Advanced->Acrobat SDK->Word Finder->create Page Map" menu
3. "count" non Modal Dialog is opened and working and then stays on the screen and can be moved without problem.
4. Now I click on "Advanced->Acrobat SDK->Word Finder->find Word By Offset" - Modal Promt Dialog is opened. click some number and then click ok - choosen word is selected in Acrobat. From this moment, first "Count" dialog is frosen - can be selected, can not be moved.
The only workaround I see here is to create non Modal dialog every time I close Modal one.
Could you please advice ? May I please send to you project in zip ?
I really need it ASAP ?

I have problem with V.25 transaction. This transaction contains some variants, and currently my variant dispalying 10 feilds. Now i want to add 2 more feilds to the report. So i went to transaction VOKF and added the two feilds to my variant. But while saving it throwing an error "Total output length (142) is larger than 132 characters". So how we can rectify this error. OR how can we increase report width from 132 char to 150..?
And can u please tell me the way like how we will search for SAP notes or OSS notes for a particular transaction in SNOTE..??

Just read the error in dump what is the problem and where it has been terminated. IF the problem in print progrm check the print program is active or not. If it is active the dump will give the line no where the termincation occurs check the line no in print programme what is the error occured. Once go through the dump analyis and and revert back with acutal problem may then u ll get the required ans.
