Dispatcher.any config for alias in httpd.conf
Hi,
This post: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1103169 discusses almost exactly what I'm hoping to do except that I would like to use an alias rather than rewrites to allow access to files in specific folders published from the dam without the /content/dam directories in the path. Is this possible?
For example, in the dam I have the following directory /content/dam/productimages. In httpd.conf I have
<IfModule alias_module>
Alias /productimages C:/Apache2.2/htdocs/content/dam/productimages
</IfModule>
<Directory "C:/Apache2.2/htdocs/content/dam/productimages">
Options FollowSymLinks
</Directory>
This works great until I turn on the dispatcher module, at which point I get a 403 permissions error. What needs to happen in dispatcher.any for this to work? Do I need a virtual host entry for the alias?
I'm trying to do it this way because I don't want all traffic redirected from /content/dam/productimages to /product images - I want both to be valid. Am I barking up the wrong tree? BTW< I'm testing on my Windows 7 laptop, but the production servers are RedHat.
Thanks,
Charles

I'm not a Java guru but the easiest way would be to search the file by reading it line by line.
AFAIK there is no Java API to extract such values.

Is there any config for plant-cost center relationship
looks like our new cost center is not defaulting on the PO accounting document. Is there someplace I should have set-up a plant/cost center relationship?
Thanks in advance
SatyaHi Satya,
You cannot directly assign a Cost Center to a Plant. But indirectly yes. A Cost Center is assigned to a Profit Center, a Profit Center is assigned to Material Master and the Material Master to a Plant.
Hope this clarifies.

Hello Experts,
Our client has a manufacturing plant in France which is already in SAP. Now they are planning to come up with another plant in France. We will be creating a new Company Code and Sales Org. My question is that since France is already in SAP and uses Intrastat reporting so do we need to make any config for new Plant/Sales Org or is the Intrastat setting defined at country level only.
Regards,
KaranHello Karan,
We are going to create a new Plant as well as a new Sales Organisation. In Intrastat there is one setting where we assign Business Transaction Type to Sales Org/Item Category combination. For the reference Sales Org this setting is already in place so do we need to do this setting for new Sales Org also or does it get copied when we create new sales org with reference to existing sales org?
In my view on the current set up which you are incorporating for new plant at France, there is no need to have new Company Code and Sales organization unless and untill there is some legal requirement at EU(If export process needs to be triggered). There is not much information available on Intrastat functionality but as i understand from you, you create Business transaction type at Intrastat, and then assign business transaction type to Sales organization, My suggestion would be :- most likely you would have to extend and include the newly created Sales Organization for Business transaction type.
Thanks,

Getting error after enabling php in httpd.conf
Hi,
I want to get php enable on the Apache web sever that is part of OS 10.6.1. I read the docs and uncommented the Load line for php in httpd.conf. Then I restarted the web server. Now when i try to access via Safari a phpinfo( ); command as part of a simple .php file, I get the following error:
Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0
Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/Users/mobilemojo/Sites/phpinfo.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0
Is there something else that has to be modified to get php module to load?
Thanks in advance!
KHi Sridhar,
Please compare the DTS settings on the Windows 7 computer and the Windows Server 2008 R2 computer and make sure they are identical. Make sure the “Allow Inbound” and “Allow Outbound” options are check, and pay attention to the authentication mode as
well.
Besides, make sure both Distributed Transaction Coordinator (TCP-In) and Distributed Transaction Coordinator (TCP-Out) rules in Firewall are enabled.
If the issue persists and there are any security/anti-virus software, temporarily disable the security/anti-virus software and check the issue again.

Hi Guru's
one more query.
I want to knw more about Apache and other configuration files like jserv.conf, httpd.conf, jserv.properties.conf, etc...
what it will contain exactly? how they work with Apache these configuration files?
Thanks Guru's for all your support.Hi,
Oracle HTTP Server is powered through Apache, and is a key component of Oracle iAS (Oracle Application Server), a versatile Application Server. Oracle HTTP Server includes a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) which is called JServ. The files that you've listed - jserv.conf and jserv.properties are the key configuration files for JServ, while httpd.conf is a key configuration file for Oracle HTTP Server.
Please browse the following links for more information on these components :
Oracle HTTP Server : http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/ohs/index.html
Oracle Application Server : http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/index.html
Oracle iAS forms the core technology component of the Oracle E-Business Suite techstack.

Configuring Apache httpd.conf for Multiple Web Servers
After successfully serving a single web site from my MacMini, I'm having trouble configuring httpd.conf to add an additional site. My httpd.conf file looks something like this:
NameVirtualHost *:80
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName www.domain1.net
DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents/Domain1"
</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName www.domain2.us
DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents/Domain2"
</VirtualHost>
Whichever domain I put first on the list is the one that gets served, as though apache isn't able to match the ServerName and defaults to the first vhost.
Both domain1.net and domain2.us are registered through no-ip.com. Verizon, my isp, blocks port 80, so I configured AirPort Extreme to map public port 81 to private port 80. Dynamic DNS and port mapping works fine serving a single site.
Are there other lines in httpd.conf that I need to edit?
MacMini Mac OS X (10.3.9)John--
I handle it slightly differently on my Macs. I have this line:
NameVirtualHost *:80Then for my virtual hosts, I have the following:
<VirtualHost *>
ServerName localhost
</VirtualHost>And then for the second one:
<VirtualHost *>
ServerName www.host2.com
ServerAlias host2.com
DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/dir2"
</VirtualHost>The first server is the default one you get when you put http://localhost into the browser window, or if you were to request it by IP address.
I don't use the default /Library/WebServer/Documents folder for any of the sites on my machine. For the first web site, I use something like /Library/WebServer/dir1. So I make that change up earlier in the config file.
In your case, you'd want to add server aliases for the first one:
<VirtualHost *>
ServerName domain1.net
ServerAlias www.domain1.net localhost
</VirtualHost>Hope this makes sense...

Httpd.conf configuration for Apache plugin
Hi,
anyone have a sample httpd.conf file configured for proxy to WL 6.1, but only
limited content?
Meaning : static content is served on the apache (gifs, html, ...) and ALL THE
REST is proxyd to WL...
The WL part i guess is like this :
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
WebLogicCluster x:7001,y:7001
CookieName WebLogicSession
MatchExpression *.*
</IfModule>
Its the Apache part I cant find any info on.
Thanks in advance.try this:
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
WebLogicCluster x:7001,y:7001
CookieName WebLogicSession
MatchExpression /SERVLET_NAME
MatchExpression *.jsp
</IfModule>
That should do it ... but you should know that there are more problems down that way ... -
OS/X Lion Apache userdir configs, and other httpd.conf oddities
There seems to have been quite some discussions around the userdir and other configs with Apache. I think I stumbled on the issue.
Most of the advanced configurations in httpd.conf is surrounded by
<IfDefined WEBSHARING_ON>
But, in the /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.apache.httpd.plist file, there WEBSERVICE_ON is what's defined. I added the following to the plist file:
<string>-D</string>
<string>WEBSHARING_ON</string>
right next to the WEBSERVICE_ON flag, and all worked again.
A lot of other folks just edited the heck out of the httpd.conf file, which works, but I wonder if it screws with the automagic configuration doodads in Server.app.
Anyway, thought i'd document my solution in case anyone else googles as I did...I've tried follwoing these instructions but I have an issue with
# Create snort user. The intention is to let user snort have access only to the snort database.
$ sudo createuser -U _postgres -P snort
Password:
Enter password for new role:
Enter it again:
Shall the new role be a superuser? (y/n) n
Shall the new role be allowed to create databases? (y/n) n
Shall the new role be allowed to create more new roles? (y/n) n
It keeps telling me "could not connect to database postgres: could not connect to server: No such file or directory"
I'm running OSX Mountain Lion, and have verified using serveradmin status postgres that it is up and running. -
Configure Apache httpd.conf for struts requests
Hi everyone,
I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but I have been struggeling with this for a number of hours over the past few days and can't get it to work. I have a standard Apache2-Tomcat installation on a solaris machine. I have apache configured to talk to Tomcat to mod_jk.so and it wokrs fine for servlets and jsp. Now I have introduced struts to the picture and Apache does not seem to know what to do with the .do requests. I have configured httpd.conf according to a bunch of articles/posts that I have found on the Internet. Here is what a snippet of it looks like:
# Load mod_jk module
# Update this patch to match your modules location
LoadModule jk_module libexec/mod_jk.so
# Declare the module for <IfModule directive>
#AddModule mod_jk.c
# Where to find workers.properties
# Update this path to match your conf directory locaton (put workers.properties
next to httpd.conf)
JkWorkersFile /usr/local/apache2/conf/workers.properties
# Where to put jk logs
# Update this path to match your logs directory location (put mod_jk.log next to
access_log)
JkLogFile /usr/local/apache2/logs/mod_jk.log
# Set the jk log level [debug/error/info]
JkLogLevel info
# Select the log format
JkLogStampFormat "[%a %b %d %H:%M:%S %Y] "
# JkOptions indicate to send SSL KEY SIZE,
JkOptions +ForwardKeySize +ForwardURICompat -ForwardDirectories
# JkRequestLogFormat set the request format
JkRequestLogFormat "%w %V %T"
# Send everything for context /examples to worker named worker1 (ajp13)

JkMount /Training/* worker1
JkMount /CoreDBSAP/* worker1
JkMount /iul/* worker1
JkMount /iul/*.do worker1
JkMount /PIForm/* worker1Here is the contents of the workers file:
# Define 1 real worker using ajp13
worker.list=worker1
# Set properties for worker1 (ajp13)
worker.worker1.type=ajp13
worker.worker1.host=localhost
#worker.worker1.host=10.221.13.50
worker.worker1.port=8009
worker.worker1.lbfactor=50
worker.worker1.cachesize=10
worker.worker1.cache_timeout=600
worker.worker1.socket_keepalive=1
worker.worker1.recycle_timeout=300I have also tried thigns like AddHandler jserv-servlet .do which I know shouldn't work since I am using mod_js.so.
Can anyone help? I am in a crunch as I have to get this out to a client today. Thanks all!

But, the poroblem still lies with Apache since that has to handle the incoming HTTP request and then forward that onto something that can handle the processing (in this case the servlet container Tomcat). Just like you have to tell Apache where to send requests to .jsp files, the same has to happen with .do. This piece seems to be working, but after it finds the worker it then doesn't know what to do. Clearly I am missing some setting that I have yet to find.
Thanks,

Httpd.conf settings for multiple vhosts
If you configure multiple vhosts in your httpd.conf file, how do you specify different hds- and hls-live apps dirs in said httpd.conf file?
It appears these settings can only point at one location... and if your vhosts don't share an apps dir... I don't get how you could point to the correct location for individual vhosts.Can you expand on this? I have tired to answer below

^^ is the error message that i am getting.
Below is the reverse proxy lines that i have added in the httpd.conf file of apache. which worked fine for SAP 7.01

Delete httpd.conf file for apache!
I have mistakenly deleted httpd.conf file for apache.. then the localhost was not work anymore!! .. How can I solve this problem? I have XOS 10.9
Look in the Originals folder inside the apache2 folder. Make a copy of the original httpd.conf file.

Can /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf config affect php error display?
If error display is on in php.ini, can anything from "/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf" affect this option so errors won't be shown?
Yes, with PHP as Apache module, a directive like:
php_admin_flag display_errors off
can or, eventually:
php_admin_value error_reporting <number>
But these shouldn't be used.

## Do NOT add a slash at the end of the directory path.
ServerRoot "/usr"
## PidFile: The file in which the server should record its process
## identification number when it starts.
PidFile /var/run/httpd.pid
## ScoreBoardFile: File used to store internal server process information.
## Not all architectures require this. But if yours does (you'll know because
## this file will be created when you run Apache) then you must ensure that
## no two invocations of Apache share the same scoreboard file.
#ScoreBoardFile "/var/run/apache2runtimestatus"
## Server-pool size regulation. Rather than making you guess how many
## server processes you need, Apache dynamically adapts to the load it
## sees --- that is, it tries to maintain enough server processes to
## handle the current load, plus a few spare servers to handle transient
## load spikes (e.g., multiple simultaneous requests from a single
## Netscape browser).
## It does this by periodically checking how many servers are waiting
## for a request. If there are fewer than MinSpareServers, it creates
## a new spare. If there are more than MaxSpareServers, some of the
## spares die off. The default values are probably OK for most sites.
MinSpareServers 1
MaxSpareServers 1
## Number of servers to start initially --- should be a reasonable ballpark
## figure.
StartServers 1
## MaxRequestsPerChild: the number of requests each child process is
## allowed to process before the child dies. The child will exit so
## as to avoid problems after prolonged use when Apache (and maybe the
## libraries it uses) leak memory or other resources. On most systems, this
## isn't really needed, but a few (such as Solaris) do have notable leaks
## in the libraries. For these platforms, set to something like 10000
## or so; a setting of 0 means unlimited.
## NOTE: This value does not include keepalive requests after the initial
## request per connection. For example, if a child process handles
## an initial request and 10 subsequent "keptalive" requests, it
## would only count as 1 request towards this limit.
MaxRequestsPerChild 100000
## Dynamic Shared Object (DSO) Support
## To be able to use the functionality of a module which was built as a DSO you
## have to place corresponding `LoadModule' lines at this location so the
## directives contained in it are actually available before they are used.
## Please read the file http://httpd.apache.org/docs/dso.html for more
## details about the DSO mechanism and run `httpd -l' for the list of already
## built-in (statically linked and thus always available) modules in your httpd
## binary.
## Note: The order in which modules are loaded is important. Don't change
## the order below without expert advice.
## Example:
## LoadModule foo_module libexec/mod_foo.so

# Settings for hosting different languages.
# Required modules: mod_mime, mod_negotiation
# DefaultLanguage and AddLanguage allows you to specify the language of
# a document. You can then use content negotiation to give a browser a
# file in a language the user can understand.
# Specify a default language. This means that all data
# going out without a specific language tag (see below) will
# be marked with this one. You probably do NOT want to set
# this unless you are sure it is correct for all cases.
# * It is generally better to not mark a page as
# * being a certain language than marking it with the wrong
# * language!
# DefaultLanguage nl
# Note 1: The suffix does not have to be the same as the language
# keyword --- those with documents in Polish (whose net-standard
# language code is pl) may wish to use "AddLanguage pl .po" to
# avoid the ambiguity with the common suffix for perl scripts.
# Note 2: The example entries below illustrate that in some cases
# the two character 'Language' abbreviation is not identical to
# the two character 'Country' code for its country,
# E.g. 'Danmark/dk' versus 'Danish/da'.
# Note 3: In the case of 'ltz' we violate the RFC by using a three char
# specifier. There is 'work in progress' to fix this and get
# the reference data for rfc1766 cleaned up.
# Catalan (ca) - Croatian (hr) - Czech (cs) - Danish (da) - Dutch (nl)
# English (en) - Esperanto (eo) - Estonian (et) - French (fr) - German (de)

# Korean (ko) - Luxembourgeois* (ltz) - Norwegian Nynorsk (nn)

========HTTPD.CONF==========I am modifying the correct httpd.conf file on the server, it just doesn't seem to work. - If I put the rewrite rules in the <Directory /> the rewrite works but it adds /Library/WebServer/Documents to the URL.
I also tried putting the rewrite rules in <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> but that did not work either.
mod_rewrite is enabled and running on the server.
I will post the rewrite rules again in the code brackets. Sorry for the long post. - If some one can try them out on their Leopard Server to see if they can get them to work, it would be much appreciated. Again, these work on my Leopard Client but I can't get them to work on Server.
-- The httpd.conf file posted above is just the default conf file found in /private/etc/apache2/
