  • LMS32 running very slow, RME Services (Wintel) showing stopping.

In the past few days I have had a very sluggish response on the platform.
I am now getting errors when opening rme and or processes window.
I checked the wintel srv08 services and all looks fine but the RME db service shows stopping, reboot does not help.
    Additionally SMTP alerts have stopped.
Additionally I have a lot of what appears to be Java heap dumps dated over the past couple of weeks.
Any heads up on any of the above?
    Thanks

Dheeraj, is on leave today, so I wanted to check if the issue that you were facing is resolved by the troubleshooting steps provided by the Engineer.
I see that you need to setup a down-time, in order to stop the ciscoworks process and apply the steps.
If you need any assistance in running the below steps, please feel free to contact me and I will help you.
    a. Stop CiscoWorks daemon manager from the command line:
    net stop crmdmgtd
    b. Kill the process dbsrv10.exe from the task manager.
    c. Go to \CSCOpx\databases\rmeng
    d. Remove or rename rmeng.log (if exists)
    e. Go to \CSCOpx\databases\rmeng> directory and type:
    dbsrv10 -f rmeng.db
    f. Restart CiscoWorks daemon manager:
    net start crmdmgtd

    Hi Anil.
you should be sure if user SAPINPDB exists in the database system and it is mapped to the SAPINPDB user of the DB.... this if you use SQL Server, but the rule should be something like this in other DB systems!!!

  • Windows service does not stop when DB is shutdown from SQL*Plus

    I have a 11g XE DB in a Windows 7 machine.
The installation has created a Windows service called OracleServiceXE. It's status is STARTED.
    I then login to SQLPLUS as sysdba and do a shutdown immediate;
    SQL> shutdown immediate
    Database closed.
    Database dismounted.
    ORACLE instance shut down.
Problem is, when I refresh the services, the OracleServiceXE is still showing as STARTED.
If I use the listener control to stop the listener the Windows service OracleXETNSListener changes status to BLANK.
    Why is this?

    tvCa-Oracle wrote:
That service is a prerequisite Windows service to be able to start the database, but it is not the status of the database itself.
When you do start the database, he may or may not start the service automatically (not sure there), but it is a needed service, for each database SID, on Windows.
If you want to know what it is, open Task Manager or Process Explorer, only start the service (not the database), and see which OS process is launched.
AFAIK, this is only on Windows, there's no comparable component on Linux/Unix for this.
The Windows service OracleServiceXE has c:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\bin\ORACLE.EXE XE as the Parth to executable.
If I click on the Services tab in Task manager, then right-click the OracleServiceXE and click Go to process, it show the oracle.exe in the processes tab.
If stop it, the service, from the Windows service control, the oracle.exe disappears and we cannot login to the DB.
If we start the service from the windows service control, the oradim.exe appears, then a second later the oracle.exe appears. Once the DB status of the Windows service is STARTED, the oradim.exe disappears.
So, I can start and stop the oracle DB with the Windows service. But If I stop the DB from sql*plus the the service is not stopped....

My mail account has been set up and working to send and receive mail for several months.  All of a sudden I can not receive mail.  The connection doctor shows all green lights.  No changes have been made and nothing has been changed on preferences on IMAP and SMTP.  I can send mail.  My other accounts all send and receive mail.  When you click on activity the list shows stop signs. All accounts show that they are online.

    UPDATE:
I deleted all the messages off the server of the offending email address and everything works fine now.

  • Adobe CEP Service Manager has stopped working

I had repeated problems installing Creative Cloud for the desktop, after it asked me to upgrade.
After renaming OOBE and using the cleaning tool several times, i got Creative Cloud to finally install.
But when I tried to run it, I get "Adobe CEP Service Manager has stopped working".
So I'm still dead in the water. This is just the latest of a string of problems I've had in installing
Creative Cloud for the desktop on my several PCs.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Ken,
Does right click run and Administrator when launching the Creative Cloud for desktop make any difference?

Could not start the plumtree Job Dispatcher service service on LOcal Computer. The service did not return an error. THis could be an internal windows rror or an internal service error. If the problem persits, contact your system administrator

    Hi Ray,
I assuming you are on 5.0.2. If so, please refer to chapter 3(Pre-installation) of the install document, specifically the setup of the automation server user. The stated error indicates that the automation user info you entered into the installer does not match up with the entries in the pre-install steps.

  • Mail service on start/stop of services ...

    Hi,
Please let me know the way to send mail when services are started/stopped in oracle application 11.5.10.2. How to configure this on ibm aix 5.3.
    Thanks,
    Sai Ram

There is a way to configure emails on startup/shutdown of Concurrent Manager service - but I'm not aware about any such configuration around other services (eg. Apache, Apps Listener, Forms Server etc..)
I think you'll have to do this outside Oracle's scripts if you wish to set this up - either by wrapping the calls to seeded scripts in your own custom script, or if you want a periodical probing, then via use of cron/scheduler depending on the OS you're on.
    Hope that helps.
    Regards,
    Rakesh
PS : In addition to the Concurrent Managers, I think you should be also able to achieve this for database services if you wish to do that - by use of startup and shutdown database triggers.

  • Data Transformation Services Execution Utility stopped working and was closed

    Hi,
I had the SSIS packages (ETL job) working fine for a long time and then we moved the server/machine and ETL job keeps failing.
The ETL job run number of packages. The ETL job fails for the first run then I set the retires and it works in 2nd or 3rd try on the ETL job but it fails daily for the first run where DTexec.exe crash (log pasted below)
    Server: Windows 2008 R2
SQL Server:  SQL Server 2008 R2
    RAM 64 GB
    CPU cores 8
we had the similar specs on previous machine and ETL job worked fine. Only difference is we have 2 SQL server instances now on same machine.
I am suspecting it's an issue with ETL packages  but why it was working fine before for a long time and after machine move it keeps failing.
    Any thoughts?

  • Show-stopping error when I try to load/run the muse code with JQuery version 1.9.1.

Version 1.9.1, and the muse code uses 1.8.3.  As you can see HERE,http://jquery.com/download/ version 1.9.0 was a major milestone release for JQuery that eliminated much of the (deprecated) functionality of earlier versions. Unfortunately, the muse html uses some of that deprecated functionality (specifically, the "browser( )" function HERE)http://jquery.com/upgrade-guide/1.9/#jquery-browser-removed. Thus I am getting a show-stopping error when I try to load/run the muse code with version 1.9.1. Other people have had this same problem (see THIS)http://bugs.jquery.com/ticket/13214.
Do you see an update in the near future?
