Display brightness dims a bit/is 'fuzzy' when using expose (F9) ??

Hi
I realise that my Macbook Pro's brightness dims a bit after using the expose function. I know it'll dim a bit when you're using it but when i go back to the selected programme i'm running, it kinda of dims like a little (probably i'd say 1/2 or 1 notch) before reverting back to its normal brightness that i've set.
So i'm asking is this normal?
Additionally, i realise that my display tends to look a bit "fuzzy" when i use the expose. It's like one corner of the selected programme in expose would look fuzzy. A screenshot is shown as in the link:

Is this normal as well?? It's like i'm running my firefox and msn and when i use expose to alternate between these 2 windows, my msn chat at the corner, i realise the words turn out fuzzy and a tad distorted.

Have you tried Zapping the PRAM?
The PRAM holds various settings such as display settings.

If by "OEM" you mean the disk came with another Win computer, it won't work. You need either a full retail verison or the "System Builders' Edition." I used the latter for my BC installation and it worked flawlessly and was marked as 64-bit--no mention of 32-bit.

Illustrator CS4 window broken when using expose

it happens when i do the following
Create or open an .ai file, than create or open another .ai file and hit expose. Everything is fine. Than i click on the tab for the first .ai file, hit expose
and illustrator is broken into pieces. When i click on the tab for the second .ai hit expose and everything is fine. This is happening not only in illustrator but also in Photoshop and other adobe cs4 apps.
So when you have multiple files open in illustrator and working with the file in the first tab, illustrator is broken everytime i use expose.
i attach also a screen shot so you can see how it looks like.

It's an issue with Apple's code for Expose and Spaces... applications have nothing to do with those features and aren't even aware they exist. You need to bring this up with Apple if it bothers you that much.

Weird box on desk top from ICal Info Window when using Expose

Whenever I use the info Window in iCal to enter some text in the Notes area, if I don't remember to click on the main window, or pretty much any other place in iCal afterward then when I use Expose to go to the desk top I end up with this wierd rectangle or square (composed of a thin white line) exactly the size of the text that I'd entered in the Notes section that is exactly the size of the text.
Is there any fix for this? Tiger is so appealing to the eye over all, one of the things I love about Mac, and that seems like a weird, ugly little glitch.

No, but I tried what you were saying and then yes, I see the little box that was around what I was typing in Notes is still on the desktop when I hit the F11 key. Cheers!

Displaying only the luma channel in Speedgrade when using direct link. Is it possible?

The idea here is to be able to display only tle the Y (luma) channel i preview window of Speedgrade. I know that this is possible when grading in a new crated project in Speedgrade.
Timeline/View/Channel Display. I know that there are shortcuts to display the separate RGB channels but there is no short cut to display the isolated luma.
Do You guys know if there is a solution to customize shortcuts in Speedgrade? Or is there another method to display the luma when working in SG on a directlink created project?
The reason for this is a project thats supposed to be graded in BW with an ability to manipulate colors/channels values underneath the bw display. Because after adding the BW "filter" or decreasing the saturation value all of the controls become "some sort" immune to color data below the bw grade witch gives no ability to preform corrections to particular channels/ colors with live preview in BW. Of course we could try to desaturate the monitor but turning the colors back and forth every time would be a coffin nail in production time
Any hints greatly appreciated.

Correct me if I'm misunderstanding your issue, but I believe Speedgrades layers apply effects linearly based on the information passed to them by the layer directly below. Could you achieve your solution by using two (or more) primary layers, with the bottom layer being used for manipulating colours, and with the top layer to desaturate?
If switching back and forth is important, you could add a single effects layer over the entire projectt on a track above, and then just apply a primary that desaturates to that effects layer. Then you could just switch it on and off by toggling the visibility of the track.

Dreamplug, 16 bit DAC, relevant when using optical out?

I am looking at this baby to use as an MPD server. The plan is to connect it to my amp through the optical out. The plan, of course, is to put Arch on it in due time (I don't know the status of the ARM port).
I assume the fact the DAC is only 16 bit does not matter when you use optical, but I just want to be sure .

Yes in that case you are probably better off putting a Slug on it instead of Arch, you'll have an mpd server up and running in no time. However, for a music station / fileserver, wouldn't an ARM NAS be an interesting alternative? They're not much bigger or more expensive, but you'll have the storage as well then.

How can I display the failure caption with click box when using function keys to navigate a sim?

I am using the keyboard function keys to navigate a simulation using Click Boxes. For instance, F7 advances the simulation to the next screen, but if the learner selects F5, a failure caption displays. I have tried deleting and re-entering the click box, placing the click box at the top of the timeline levels, starting the click box at 0 and 0.5, making the click box visible and invisible, and make the click box the entire size of the screen.

TS1367 My MacBook Pro when in sleep mode display turns black unable to wake. When using the mouse it goes across screen like using an eraser and finding the middle of screen to get to the password area to turn back on.

really have a hard time when leaving the computer on when attending other matters in the house. When returning, the screen is completely black and unable to wake(?) by touching the mouse or touch pad to put my password and be able to use the computer. When I move the mouse pad looks like I am using the eraser like in photoshop and it clears the screen little by little. Now I am able to point to the middle of the screen and erase the area where the password is in order to get to the screen and use the computer again. Anyone else having this problem? Took the laptop to the apple store near home and they told me there is nothing that can be done and I have to wait untile the new operating system, Mountain Lion comes out and supposedly this will fix the problem. HELP!!!!

I was so frustrated I call the Apple Tech Support and they walked me through. It has been doing great. The screen still turns black but now, when I touch the mouse or touch pad, I get the password prompt. The Apple Store did not help but talking the the Apple Tech has helped a lot. Thank you.

Windows 7 64 bit.. When using 32 bit HDR can not use Adj panel

I can bring 3 photos into HDR , brings up preview then I go to Adjust photo in 32 bit and the Adjustment panel is deemed. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

Data displayed on the report in disc plus when used "GROUP BY"

I have created a cusom folder, in which the query has group by on 3 columns. So the report in Discoverer plus is showing as

but the user want to see data in each row, all the rows should be populated.
Is there a way I can show that in the report?

You need to change the sort on Accounting Period Market from a group sort to a normal sort.

My display blacks out at no regular intervals when using OSX.

I can still hear my app's running but I have to put my mac to sleep using the power button (not power down) then login as usual. This changes from once every min to once every few days?
The image below shows the console reading of what happend but i dont know enough to make sence of it. I have re-installed OSX and still no result.
Anyone who can help I would be really greatfull i have it under warentee but need a computer to do my work.

This is happening to me too (2011 27" iMac) screen started to go black randomly since a day or two, also happened in Windows once. Rebooting or forcing the computer to sleep and wake up again fixes it temporarily.

24" iMac screen garbled when using Expose.

Occasionally when I click both sides of the mouse to use the Expose function to see all my open windows the display flickers around and I get a garbled image as shown in the photo. As I move the mouse across the screen it clears up the garbled graphics. It also clears up when I undo the Expose. Happens may 20% of the time. Anyone else have this problem and found out what was causing it?

My 24" iMac also display garbage as same as your picture.
Strangely, it's not consistant. Sometimes at start up time

MB Pro is running 'choppy and slow.' It's especially evident when using Expose. How do I clean up/fix?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including your login items.
Launch the application(s) and test. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

Low display brightness on Satellite A200-14E

When i turn my notebook on the display brightness is very low (in bios, when windows boot and when windows XP work).

Sorry but i know english very bad and i can't answer on your question (i dont know necessary words)
but I can say - it's no "Fn key" problem, FN key work miscellaneous, on low brightness he raise little and when present high brightness he raise more!
This problem present in BIOS setup program too (no WINDOWS)! But when i restart notebook (ctrl+alt+del)
The display brightness stand in normal mode... and when i don't restart the notebook, windows is starting on low brightness mode too :(
And this happened on several NEW notebooks, that sent on guarantees.
