"Display cannot switch to secondary landscape with this configuration" Error on x201 T
Hi, I've just bought x201 for 2 weeks. Today I tried to rotate the screen in tablet mode so I can get the battery with my hand when I read documents but after rotation and after just 1-2 second it automatically get back to primary landsacpe view and gives me this error. I wonder what is the problem and more importantly what is the solution?

More info: I turned off auto-login, and was able to log in to my test account. Then, I was able to use fast user switching to switch to my main account. I will try again restarting into my main account and see if I can switch to Test. This failed consistently before I posted here. Perhaps the "sense Mac guru" circuit kicked in and cured the problem. I'm about ready to turn in so won't post a follow-up until tomorrow. Right now, I need to use my two accounts to get the job done (a writing job with screen shots of a new unaltered account). Then, I'll go back to trying to see if the problem still exists when I log in to the main account first.

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.

I cannot print wirelessly from Macbook Pro: this is the error message I receive /Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS /rastertoescpII failed. I also saw this same error message above the Print Queue, ever since allowing the Epson Printer Software Update (August 2013) to install. After this update installed, I was able to print a basic Test Page from the Print Queue, but when printing from any application I only got "Looking for printer..." displayed above the Print Queue, which would stall and never print.
2008 MacBook, 10.7.5. It used to print to my Epson WorkForce 845 wirelessly without problems, before this software update was installed.
Changing the driver from "Epson WorkForce 845" to "Epson WorkForce 600 - Gutenprint v5.2.3" was a workaround that did allow me to print, but I wasn't satisfied with that.

This issue may be a result of the Computer Name being left empty:
Open System Preferences and choose Sharing.
Enter a name for your computer.
Even without restarting the MacBook, I was able to now change back to using the Epson WorkForce 845 driver v9.0 successfully. I never would have guessed that a Computer Name is required in order to print! -

Cannot Download Instagram/Redownload Unavailable with this Apple ID
I have two Instagram accounts, one personal, one professional. I.e., two separate/different Instagram IDs and two different passwords for each Instagram account.
I have two cell phones, one for work (iPhone 6+) and one for personal (iPhone 5s). If it matters, the phones have two separate wireless company accounts, as well.
Each phone has its own iCloud/iTunes ID.
I purchased the iPhone 5s last May 2014, and the iPhone 6+ in December 2014. Thus, all of my personal accounts were set up on the iPhone 5s, first.
I have the two phones set up on Apple's "family sharing" via iTunes, in order to access and share some of my data, calendars, etc.
I have Instagram set up on the iPhone 5s. I can login in to either of my two Instagram accounts on the 5s, but I do have to login/logout of the app and reenter each ID and password for each Instagram account.
I want to install Instagram on the iPhone 6+ that I use for "work" with my professional Instagram account. When I try to download the app to the iPhone 6+, I get the message that "Redownload Unavailable with this Apple ID." Please see the attached image.
I have tried different methods, but I cannot download Instagram to the iPhone 6+. Instagram says to go to Apple Support (https://help.instagram.com/126971294119253/) and Apple Support, as far as I can tell, considers this a 3rd party app and it isn't their problem).
I have looked at some solutions -- such as logging out of iCloud and iTunes on each phone, and then logging back in and downloading the Instagram app, but it appears that I will lose the data I have on the iCloud for each phone, if I login/logout of iCloud and iTunes on each phone.

This is completely stupid -- surely individuals within families have their own Instagram accounts and post from their own phones. And this is a free app!

Here's what I did.
(1) Synced my iPhone 5s with iTunes.
(2) Uninstalled the Instagram app from the 5s.
(3) Re-synced the 5s with iTunes both to my laptop and the iCloud, since it now does not have Instagram on it.
(4) On the iPhone 6+, loggedout of iTunes that has my "work" AppleID. (Settings ==> iTunes & App Store ==> Apple ID: <apple ID here>; tapped on Apple ID:, then an image came up, and I logged out of that Apple ID, which is my "work" Apple ID.
(5) Logged into the iPhone 6+ iTunes & App Store with my personal Apple ID and password
(6) Downloaded Instagram.
(7) Set up Instagram with my "work" Instagram userid and password.
(8) Logged out of my personal AppleID for the iTunes & App Store on the iPhone 6+, and logged back in with my "work" Apple ID.
(9) Re-installed Instagram on my iPhone 5s and synced it with iTunes using my personal Apple ID.
(10) Set up Instagram with my "personal" Instagram userid and password.
I don't know if I needed to sync and re-sync the iPhone 5s that way, plus uninstall Instagram on it. I may have added extra steps here, but better safe than sorry.
I do think that the key to solving this problem was logging out of the iTunes & App Store with my work AppleID, and the logging back in with my personal Apple ID to download the Instagram app, then logging out from my personal Apple ID and logging back in with my work Apple ID.
On each phone, I had no problem setting up each of the separate Instagram accounts. It was just getting the Instagram app to download to the second phone set up with Family Sharing.
I don't understand why I had to do it this way, but I guess Instagram only wants one owner of the App. Weird. I have not had to do this with any other apps I have downloaded under my "work" account and phone that I also have on my "personal" account and phone. For some of those, I use the same account ID; others, like Instagram, are separate.
I hope this solution helps someone else, too.

I've previously used ALPC to profile a Zuiko 12-60 on a E520 and I had no trouble at all. I had 33 different sets of 9 pictures each, and they all merged nicely into one consistent profile. The profile worked perfectly and corrected lens distortion better than any other software I've used. Now I'm trying to profile my Nikkor 10-24 on a Nikon D7000, but as soon as I try to append the 2nd set to the 1st one (same focal length and focus distance, different aperture), I get this message: "File <filename> already exists, but it is inconsistent with this one. Please select a different location or use a different file name.".
My brother has been having this same issue and he's also using a Nikon D7000, but with a Sigma 17-70 2.8-4.0. Any ideas why this is happening? Some sort of D7000 raw conversion issue, maybe? I used ACR to convert NEF to DNG. The first profile is created and works well, though apparently not very accurate.
I tested the one profile that is saved, at 10mm and f/3.5, and it's not very good. Distortion is clearly over-corrected. The one difference between the profile I did for the Olympus and this one is that I refocused after every shot for this one (since the wide angle really throws corner focus off when you reframe it). Could this be it? If not, what else?
I'm using an A4 13x21 chart. It's enough to fill the frame with 9 shots at minimum focus distance.I am having the same problem with my d7000. This happens regardless of software used to convert NEF files, so if I had to guess at why this is happening I would say that the d7000 maybe has a different format for its makernotes, which is where the lens information is stored, and the lens profile creator doesn't read it.
Here's what happened when I tried to profile my 50mm f1.8 nikkor: I took 9 pictures at f1.8 and nine at f2.8. The profiling worked fine on both. So I ran it first on the f1.8 set, and saved it. Did the same for the f2.8 set and tried to save it, but it wouldn't allow me to append the file to the existing one, giving me the "inconsistent" error discussed here. I then save the second profile separately.
I opened both on windows notepad, and this is the lensID inconsistency already discussed here:
The profile I did with the f1.8 set had this line in it:

I cannot apply transitions, I keep getting this:An Unknown Error Occurred
When I try to apply a transition, I get this message: +"An Unknown Error Occurred+
+You may be able to continue without any problems. You may also wish to save, quit, and re-launch iMovie HD."+ I did so. Several times. I even saved as a new project. I even shut down and booted from my install disk and ran Disk Utility, repaired permissions and repaired disk. No problems.
When I try to apply a Video FX, like Fast/Slow/Reverse, the clip shows the usual red line underneath but it never completes. It stays red.
Here's my best guess: The common denominator here is a video clip I imported...not from my camera. It was widescreen, or 16:9, or to be specific, 640x272. I wanted it to match the rest of my movie so I used QT Pro to change it to 640x480. Then I used someone's suggestion to drag that into the iMovie's Package Contents Media folder. It worked. That is, when I reopened my iMovie project, that clip played at 4:3 ratio. Beautiful. And that's the only thing I can think of that could be causing this problem.
Any help, please. I am wasting so much time fooling with this.
noodlehead confoun..ddeDIn addition to the above maintenance, you should also delete preferences by closing down iMovie and trashing the file named com.apple.iMovie.plist located in User (the house icon)/Library/Preferences. On relaunch, iMovie will creat a new .plist file to replace the one that you deleted. Often that simple procedure will solve problems like yours.
Additionally, check to make sure that you have sufficient disk space on your start up disk for iMovie to function efficiently. 20GB to 25GB is frequently recommended by users of this forum.
Make sure that your iLife programs are all up to date, particularly Quicktime.
Sometimes 3rd party or Quicktime plugins can conflict with iMovie and cause problems. If you have such plug-ins, temporarily disable them by moving them to a different folder.
You also could try opening your project in a different user and see if perhaps the conflict is specific to your user ID. -
What is wrong with this (timed loop error)?

There's no obvious problem.
I tried the same and it works perfect.
So there must be a problem under the cover.
I have 2 suggestions.
1) There is a problem with your wiring -> the Error wire is not connected to the loops error out -> close timing source is executed before the loop is executed (Are you sure the loop doesn't even start ?)
2) Labview often uses Names to identify items (queues, images, semaphores,..... timing sources(?) )
I tried to open and close another timing source with the same name.
Et voila : I'm able to get exactly the error code you mentioned.
Is it possible you use the same name for a second timing source and this one is closed prior to executing the timed loop you've got problems with ?

Help with Basic Configuration of Parameters for NIDAQmx

I'm struggling to get data from my DAQ at the rate I expect. I've read through the scattered documentation I've been able to find, but it does not behave as I expect.
I simply want to have a loop that continually reads the latest sample from the DAQ and publishes it (using the robot operating system). Unfortunatelly, I'm seeing delays on the order of many seconds between when events occur and when they show up from the DAQ. I suspect that events are stacking up in the buffer faster than I'm reading them. How should I deal with this?

Say I want to sample at 1kHz, so I need to get a value every 1ms. Can my while loop not just grab the latest value from the channel? Ideally, I think it would make sense if I used a higher sampleRate than the actual rate at which I want data, say 2kHz, and a buffer that only stored one sample, so that the buffer always contained the latest value. Everything I've tried to get this kind of behavior hasn't worked.
Regarding your suggestion:
If I use this buffered system, won't I end up getting burst behavior? So, as you propose I would try to read in 250 samples on each iteration. So that means in one second I would end up burst publishing 250 samples 4 times.
Is that the kind of behavior I should expect from this sort of system? Is there no way to do a non-blocking call when reading?
I've tried to do an on demand loop, but when I do that the best I can get is about 300Hz on my system. This is very surprising to me as audio recording devices, which work over USB, sample above 44kHz, with low latency. Are they in fact working in a bursting fasion as well or are the devices just designed better? -

which has been recorded in window credential management. I suggest that we add
proxy server into “Local Intranet” zone via GPO to see if it can solve your problem.
