Display Color like Negative
My 2 yr old hit some buttons on my iBook and now my entire display looks like the negative colors in a photograph. Can't seem to find what to do to get my regular colors back????
Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off White on Black, and drag the Contrast slider all the way to the left.

I've had my computer for less than a year. My MacBook suddenly changed in terms of its display colors. Rather than showing colors normally, I'm seeing my entire display in what looks like a photo negative. I'm not sure what to do to fix this problem. I've done all of the updates, and nothing has changed. When I initially restart it appears normal for just a moment, but then it changes to this "negative" display.
Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it?

My situation is that it looks like colors are "blurred" for lack of a better word. I can see text as long it is not munged by colors.
I thought it might be a resolution issue but I tried setting under Display in System Preference with no result.
As some others have reported, the MacBook Pro can get very hot under the bottom so I am wondering if the heat messed up the display?

Display like negative film and have no solid color
The new iPad just in my hand and I downloaded some games and iTune U via iTune in my Mac Mini, however, I found inly one game is displayed normal. All the other downloaded games and iTune U are displayed like negative file without solid color.
Am I did something wrong or missed some steps?

Display seems like 16 bit color with slight flicker
When I turned my iMac on today, it's like the display color spectrum is on 16 bit color and it has a flicker to it.
This happed all of the sudden.
It's less than a year old.

Any ideas?16bit colour is the default maximum colour depth for RDP connections to a windows terminal server. You can increase this by editing the local group policy object on the windows machine.
Go to start->run and type gpedit.msc
Browse to Computer Configuration/Administrative Template/Windows Components/Terminal Services and edit the "Limit Maximum colour depth properties" key. Set it to enabled and select 24 bit. Click OK close group policy editor. You should now be able to get 24bit colour over RDP connections. -
Color display is backwards/negative/opposite
Help! I have an iMac G3 running 10.2.6. My daughter hit many keys at one time and now all of the colors are opposite and I can't fix it. When I go to iPhoto, all the pictures look like negatives. When I goto to AppleWorks the page I type on is Black and the letters are white. What menu or control settings do I need to go to?
Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences and turn off the White on Black option under Seeing, or press the Option, Command, Control, and 8 keys simultaneously.

Reverse / Negative Display Colors
Hi,
I have no idea how my brother managed to screw up the color scheme on this computer. It seems all the colors are Negative of what they should be ( i.e. Blue displays as Yellow, white as black , and so on ) . I tried restarting the computer and on restart everything seems normal to the point that I guess it sets the color preferences , after which all the colors show up reversed.I tried going through system preferences and there is really nothing that I see that can cause this. I asked my brother how he managed to do this and he said he touched something on the keyboard?
Any help is appreciated.Ok, I was going to unmark this as a question but figured someone else might have the same problem. It is fixed.
Check System Preferences -> Universal Access and make sure you don't have the settings altered through keyboard shortcuts ( happens when someone tries to clean or dust keyboard while plugged in ). My problem was it was set as White on Black . -
I updated my iPad and shortly afterwards my display changed to what looks like negative image colorization. Has something gone out on the display or have I unintentionally triggered a weird display setting?

I changed my "invert colors" to negative and i love the way the apps look. But is the anyway i can keep all the apps looking like that but keep all my pictures the normal colors?

Apple Studio 17" Display colors not right after thunderstorm
Noticed this afternoon, after a thunderstorm, that my 17" Apple Studio Display was not displaying colors correctly. All windows are reversed - white background is now black and text is white. Also photos look like 35mm negatives. My blue Apple standard background is now orange. I checked the Display section in the System Preferences and did the ColorSync calibration and troubleshooting (verify and repair). None of this has any affect. Any suggestions?

Slammed shut my G60 now display color is out of whack
I am new to the forum and may not use the correct terminology. Let me know if I need to explain anything in more detail.
In short I slammed shut my laptop, my bad. And since then the display is like looking at a photo negative image with color. The colors are now not right. When I look at videos you cannot see them well due to this. Display appeared normal for awhile if I moved the screen to just the right position like halfway open, or put pressure on the screen bezel in the lower part.
I am able to use the laptop still and just use my flat screen TV as a monitor if I want to play games or watch a video. I am hoping what is broken is a part or connection came unsoldered to the screen that can be repaired.

Display colors change after start up
Hi, I recently tried to open a Power Point file which was too heavy and I got so desperate that I hit the keyboards as if they were a piano... Final result is that now everytime I start up the computer the display colors are all a mess, like if the "negative" part of the picture shows up instead of the true colors. I know the display is ok, for when the computer is started, the initial screen colors show up well.
I would not like having to reload the operating system to fix the problem.
Any suggestions?Open the Universal Access pane of System Preferences, click on the Seeing tab, turn off the White on Black option, move the Contrast slider all the way to the left, and deactivate the remaining options except for the one which controls access to assistive devices.
