Display established connection timeout parameter for an ACE

We are using an ACE Software version A2(3,5) and we try to diagnos a parameter map probleme.
Is there a way to know what is the timeout parameter applied to an established connexion? The command "show conn address ip netmask mask detail" only show the elapse idle time.

He, he, he.... I wonder why thing like this always happen to the big chiefs...
Anyhow... Does this happen to anyone else?... if not then it could be a name resolution issue... also check the exceptions on the proxy settings of IE.

I am having issues with my personal hotspot. I can connect an iPAD to it but the MacBook Pro gives a connection timeout error. Fixed!
Two things together have restored connectivity.
1. I changed the name under Settings > General > About > Name from My Name's iPad to iPad of My Name. I read somewhere that iOS 7.0.1 or 7.0.2 (I forget which) sometimes had issues with apostrophes here. Easy enough to test.
2. I then reset (again) the APN settings under Settings > Cellular Data > APN Settings > Personal Hotspot and reentered our provider's info (APN, Username, Password) there.
I don't know WHY it worked, but the personal hotspot is now happily sharing (again) internet connectivity with my MacBook Pro.

Cannot establish connection - JDBC driver for MS SQL server 2000

We are facing problems in connecting to SQL server 2000.
We have installed the latest version of the driver from followin link and following

Please let us know the procedure to find if the JDBC driver for SQL 2000 is installed from our SAP XI.
ERROR DETAILS:

I have tried with both "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver"; and "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver";, but still I am facing the same error.
Service market place has given the driver as "JDBC Driver for MS SQL Server (Version 3.70.10)", is there a way to find out if it is for 2000 or 2005?

JCo connection timeout parameter

Hi members,
I have a RFC to File Asynchronous scenario.
The problem I am facing is that, it works intermittently. i.e. it works once and then I keep getting the error "Bean <ZRFC NAme> not found on host xyz".
Also as expected, the number of simultaneous successful connection also depends on the parameter "Initial connection" on sender RFC channel.
So there is a keepalive time on all asynchronous RFC connections. Could someone please let me know if there is a parameter for Asynchronous connections that need to be set.

Anyone? I saw many articles in Metalink regarding the tx_timeout parameter - also one which a customer is demanding an explanation and enhancement on the tx_timeout parameter. Come to think of it, when will it work? only for Exchange? (found some hints on this in metalink).
But still, is there no other way to immediately know if the port has opened or not?
I will try the following: http://www.oraclenerd.com/2008/11/javaplsql-port-scanner-ii.html , but still would prefer a PL/SQL solution though.

Timeout-Parameter for XMLA-Interface

Hello everyone,
i am searching for a parameter like icm/conn_timeout or icm/keep_alive_timeout which applies to the XMLA-Interface.
I am sending MDX-Queries via the SAP BI Java SDK against our SAP-Server which sometimes result in "read timeouts".
Increasing XmlaConnectionConstants.TIMEOUT doesn't help so i need a server-side parameter.
icm/conn_timeout or icm/keep_alive_timeout (the values are in seconds, not milliseconds, am i right?) don't seem to work either, so there must be another parameter which applies to the XMLA-interface...

SmartWatch connection nof working for Samsung Ace 2

Hi,
I have been trying to connect my Samsung Ace 2 smartphone to my new Sony Smartwatch 2 and it does not work for some reason.
I can pair the phone and watch via bluetooth but when trying to manage the watch in my phone, the Liveware application does not show any option (and I made sure the Smart Watch 2 app was installed). Is it a software issue?
The Samsung Ace 2 is in the list of supports devices so that should not be the problem...
Sony tech guys please help on this. Thank you in advance.

Constantly getting connection timeouts when loading websites, have to keep retrying to get pages to load.

Had this problem for a few days now. Sometimes pages will load quickly and fine. But other times they will take a while and then just display a connection timeout error message. After trying a few times to load page again it will work. As you can understand this is very frustrating.
Any ideas what is happening and how to solve it?

Connection timeout with derby

Hi All
i am using derby as my database. i am new to derby, using it only becuase it is light weight.
what about the connection timeout parameter in derby.
i have checked the urlAttributes given in apache site (derby developers manual)
But no attribute is present for this parameter.
i am a regular user of mysql.
in mysql we do have socketTimeout parameter for timeout functionality which will help us to avoid the hang stated
do we have anythinng like that for derby
i am using the java JDBC for connecting to the database

Interesting. I didn't find anything either.
Actually timeouts in connection strings is rather new, older drivers didn't allow it, so maybe it doesn't either.
You can get the source and look it up. Might just be a doc bug. And if not there you could add it.

JCO timeout parameter?

Dear all,
We are trying to change a timeout parameter for JCO connections. We use ESS-MSS on our portal and when a user leave it without using the log off process, the system keep some RFC connections during one hour. We would like to keep those connections during only 30 minutes. Do you know how to proceed? Is there any parameter to change?
Please note that according to the note 947376 we know that 6 jco metadata connections are always alive to improve performance. But there are some others (for the users) that we would like to close automaticaly after 30 minutes.

DPS 6 idle connection timeout?

Ok I must be blind... where is the idle connection timeout setting for DPS 6? I would assume in the connection handler. Migrating from v5 and in the old version its in the network group.

Network Connection Timeout when "Chkng for available downloads" from iTunes

I have been struggling with this problem for weeks and have spent a significant amount of time trying to diagnose and fix without success.
When I select “Check for Available Downloads” through iTunes, I receive a “Network Connection Timeout” message and iTunes fails to download any information. It does ask me to validate my access with a password before it fails.
This problem initially occurred after I purchased the iTunes Plus updates for my music library. It backlogged about 70 updates that are now sitting in the queue to be downloaded to my local iTunes library. However, since I made that purchase, I have not successfully been able to do any downloads from the iTunes store. I suspect that the volume of items in the queue is related to the problem (as a trigger or the cause).
I have also tried to buy a single song. Although the purchase is successful (it charges my card and adds the song to the download queue), it doesn’t successfully download the song. I cannot, at this time, even get to a point where I can display a list of the queue for download. It always fails when trying to access that available download queue.
Podcast downloads still work fine through iTunes. I have never had problems with the store before and have done very large downloads (e.g. audio books) in the past. I have had no changes to my configuration leading up to this problem.
I am running a relatively new computer with a clean install of Windows 7, plenty of memory and very fast processors. I’ve got high capacity DSL. The connection is wired from the router into my network card (not wireless).
I have tried a number of things as noted below and the problem still occurs:
1. Confirmed access to internet, and ability to download from other web sites without timeout
2. Confirmed my ability to access the iTunes store, change my personal information, browse songs
3. Confirmed ability to download podcasts
4. Deactivated my windows firewall, antivirus and Net nanny content protection.
5. Deactivated the router firewall, and placed my PC in the DMZ of the router (which means that it should be wide open to the external network).
6. Swapped out the DSL modem for a different DSL modem and completely removed the router from the configuration.
7. Checked my drivers on the network card and made sure they are up to date.
8. Ran Windows 7 network diagnostics – no problems detected
9. Ran iTunes network diagnostics – no problems detected
10. Uninstalled all software related to iTunes and reinstalled most current versions (iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjur, etc.)
Thoughts?

I just wonder
1) Cannot get a connection, pool error Timeout waiting for idle object-> cause by connection pool leaking or other problem.
2) Setting the maxactive to -1 ( suggestion from Google) , if I set my connection to ulimit , waht should I put on minIdle="2"
3) How can I test my connection pool have problem or not ? is

ACE failed probe and established connections

Hello,
I have four ACE 4710. Each pair of ACE is in one geographical location. Probes are configured so that it is checking regular regex (HTTP GET).
When there is need rserver update we change text in our testpage.html (for ie. from "OK" to "SUSPEND" ) so that probe detect fail.
In fact rservers are still operational, but should not accept new connections. This works fine.
BUT I observed that established connection/sessions did not end up after probe fails. ACE probably wait for openned/established connections to end up and it is what I am askign for.
What happens if probe fails but in fact rserver is operational? I thought that if probe fails it also end up/cut all established connections to rserver. But seems it is not true. Does anybody has this experience?

if I understood correctly what you're looking for is domented in the area for the failaction command which actually makes the ACE behavior on this aspect configurable:

indeed the default behavior of the ACE is to take a failed real server out of load-balancing rotation for new connections and to allow existing connections to complete.
