Display full address in Safari in iOS 7

Does anybody know if it's possible to have Safari display the full address in the address bar with iOS 7? I it matters, I'm running iOS 7 on my 3rd gen iPad. I know I can click on the address to have it display the he full oath, but I'd like it to always display the full path by default. Any ideas?

Mac Mail displays full email addresses instead of contact name

I use the Mail application on my MacBook for managing multiple email accounts and use the Contacts application to manage my address book (self explanatory).
For example: I have saved PayPal's email address ([email protected]) into my address book as "PayPay" because of the high number of emails I receive from them. In Mail, each email I have received is displaying the full email address of the sender, rather than their address book name (whether it be a company or friend/relative) and this is making it to spot senders while scrolling.
Is there a setting where if the email address is in the Contacts app, the name of that particular contact appears rather than the full address?

whether your number or email address is desplayed depends on how you have Caller ID set.
Settings -> Messages ->Receive At ->Caller ID (chose what you want displayed)

Safari does not display full URL

Safari 6.0.5 will not display full URL until I click in the URL Location bar. For example, the full URL of this page is:

However, in my Safari location bar it displays only the domain level path, i.e.:

Is this new behavior a featue or a bug? Is there any way to make it display the full URL as it has since the beginning of time?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

I have ipad rotated for landscape viewing, but with just a few tabs open much tab real estate is dedicated to showing ellipsises, is there no way to view a full tab label w/o closing tabs--that really defeats the whole notion of tab browsing?

Display full page URL in address bar

I've published my site from MUSE to HTML and posted it to the GoDaddy server. Everything works, but no matter what page I'm on, the address in the browser address bar remains the same. My client wants the full address to appear so they can cut and copy the URL to specific pages into emails.
How do I get the full URL for the pages of the web site to display propertly in the address bar?
I want to mention that other sites that my client accesses are displaying correctly so it's not a browser setting. It's only when we browse to their site that the URL remains fixed for the duration of our visit.

That is an Edge animation you have there. When an Edge Animation is Placed into Muse it's put inside an iframe. So when welcome.html is loaded within an iFrame, all relatively called assets are loaded within the same frame and hence the URL in the address bar never changes. You may want to set target="_top" or "_parent" on the link in Edge Animate so when the link is followed it loads in the browser and not just within the iframe Muse uses to display the Edge Animate content.

By using 1 of the 2 ID's instead of both, choose one, move everything in the other one to the one you chose and stop using it.

How to enlarge text in reader mode in safari on iOS 7?

Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody could tell me how to enlarge the text when in reader mode on Safari in iOS 7? Before in iOS 6 this was very easy; you just needed to press an icon that had bigger text display while in reader mode itself. But now it seems with iOS 7 you cannot do this. Please somebody tell me that there is a way to do this?

In iOS 6, while in reader mode you could enlarge or reduce the size of the text just by pressing some icons whilst in reader mode. You can no longer do this in iOS 7 as the feature has been removed. But thanks for your response.

Search Safari History iOS 7

Is there a way to search my browsing history in Safari? iOS 7, iPad 3.

When you type in the address bar on iPad (or iPhone), Safari is searching your history for matches. I believe it uses both the title of the web page and the URL stored in history. It does not save the full contents of web pages in history, so there is no way for it to search that.
Note that in Private Browsing mode, history (and bookmarks) are not searched when typing into the address bar, so you need to disable Private Browsing mode in order to get the benefits of history search.

OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
Switching it on had no effect
resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
On IOS 7 no problems
The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options

Mail Inbox no longer displays full email under "To".

I have multiple email addresses in use from different email services (cable, web based). Apple Mail draws from all accounts to populate my Inbox, but since switching to Yosemite, I no longer can see which of my email accounts is receiving a new message in the Inbox. My full address used to be displayed there so I could see which email address the sender was using to email me. I would like that feature back, but see no way to state that as a preference in Mail.
Using 13" MacBookPro 2013 retina display/solid state version. Anyone know how to retrieve this? And why does Apple make these sorts of minor, but irritating changes?

This function is still in Mail 3.x, but only for image files such as JPEG, TIFF, PSD, etc, and not such files as PDF. It was never intended for this feature to apply to PDF, but in Mail 2.x it could, but then changed the file type to JPEG, which was problematic. In Leopard and Mail 3, the Image Size selection cannot be applied to PDF. So the size advisory is also not available when attaching PDF.
Attach a JPEG, for example, and you will still see the button menu. The running size of the message, if image files are attached is still there.

How do I get my contact's photos to display full screen for incoming calls?

I noticed today that when I get an incoming call it no longer displays "full screen". I keep missing calls because it now only displays as a banner at the top of the screen that someone is calling and their photo (if I've assigned one to them) is a tiny thumbnail.
Did I only just notice now that this is another 'great upgrade' with the new IOS, or is this some weird glitch with my phone? I've been wondering how I've been missing calls in the past week, but just happened to catch it today after I had been using the new map app and wasn't sure if it was just a coincidence or if it's somehow connected..?
Is there any way to change this or am I stuck with it this way??

I've never added my contact on my computer, I've always done it through my phone (I didn't know you could do it through the computer). The problem is not the photo, it's that the call doesn't come in and take up the full screen. Now when a call comes in, it displays as a banner at the top of the phone where the time and date normally would be, so I don't notice anyone's phoning.
As far as I can recall, it's only started happening since yesterday after I used the new map app. I've checked my notifications settings and the phone settings and so far as I can see, everything is set the same way it always was. I checked my hubby's phone to see if it's maybe something new since this last update to IOS6, but the call displays full screen (regardless whether the contact has a photo associated to it or not) and not a banner at the top of the screen like mine.
I still don't know how to change this back. Any other suggestions?

My iPad won't recognise my air printer, it is connected as I checked by typing in IP address into Safari, but when I try to print it just says cannot find any air printers.

my Ipad won't recognise my printer. It is connected as I have typed the IP address into Safari which confirms connectivity. Spoken with canon who suggest it it is a problem with IOS not recognising the functionality. When I try to print it says cannot find any air printers. Printer is working via LAN set up on my laptop. Don't want to have to spend £25 to speak to an apple support team. Has anyone else experienced this problem. Printer is a canon MG 3250.

A few things you could try:
Reboot your modem/router.
Turn your printer off then on again & make sure it's connected to the network.
Reboot your iPad holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until the apple logo appears then release & let the iPad boot up normally.
Try going into Settings on your iPad & select General->Reset->Reset Network Settings.

The control buttons above playlist display just fine in every Android, Linux, and Windows browser I have used - including Safari for Windows.
However they do not display properly in Safari for iOS as tested on my iPod (but they do display correctly in Opera Mini for iPod)

Not able to have images display full size?

Hi, I'm having an issue with images in safari. When I browse photo galleries which have links to images in their full size (larger than the browser window) it always displays them scaled down. I used to be able to set it so that they would automatically display full size without having to manually click on them to scale them up. Now (version 3.0.4) I noticed that I simply cannot find a way to have them come up full size. I always, ALWAYS have to click on them. Normally it'd be no big deal but when you come across some friends photos that have 100+ pictures it gets very annoying and tiring. Is there any way I can get it back to normal where I click on a link to a large image and it shows up full size?!

THe basic answer is to export them to a desktop folder and access them form there
