Display function

Hello out there,
When choosing a pic for use as background on my desktop display I can't seem to get the entire photo onto the desktop. When I hit display in iPhoto, the picture appears on the desktop severely cropped. I tried the constrain button and selected "Display" with the same result...

Sounds like you have a tall/"portrait" picture, while of course your display is "Landscape" orientation. You can control how it gets sent to your desktop by using iPhoto's Crop function.
You may want to duplicate the picture first in iPhoto so you can have the full picture available for other purposes as well. Select a '4x3' value from the Constrain menu, and position & size the resulting box over your picture so that you can see the relevant portion. Hit the Crop button and then the Done button. Then you can use the new 'landscape' version of the picture for your background and it should fill the screen.
If you really want the entire "tall" version of the picture, you'll need to edit it in a more advanced editor like Photoshop Elements or GraphicConverter to either
- pad the "canvas" so it matches your screen geometry, or
- resize the image so the height of the picture matches the height (in pixels) of your display.

Using Display function in BDT FMMEASURE

Hi,
Using BDT we are looking for a way to control display function on FMMEASURE.
We get input and output header data with succes in the specific screen; unfortunatly, we don't know the mecanism to control display parameters.
I think the diplay variable is "gc_aktyp".
But how do you use it?
Can somebody help us?

Thanks a lot for the reply. Set the option to enable external document access and it works perfectly.
Just for other who are looking at this post.
Go to the Report in BI Publisher
Click on Configure link on the top right
Go to the Section FO Processing
Disable external references - Server value is "True" . Set it to "False".
Apply changes.
Restarted the oc4j, just to be on safer side (not sure if this is required)
The document function will open documents from any location on your machine.

Exactly. As I wrote, B contains some functions (mainly SUBSTR and CAST) that depend on other columns from the same dimension (all other colums are physical).
Funny thing is, when I drag D01.B into the analysis alone, it works all fine... Adding a measure also leads to the said error.

The IMAQ-Vision image display function seems to use two processors automatically

Because the IMAQ-Vision function to display an image was slow for large images I wrote my own routine using the Windows SDK and it was much faster.
However, now that the application has been moved to a dual processor PC the opposite is true, i.e. the application runs much faster if I use the IMAQ-Vision function. Inspection reveals that this is due to equal loading on the two processors, whereas if I use my SDK routine all the load is on the first processor.
Is there some explanation for this? Do the IMAQ-Vision routines have built in multi-threading?

Naturally, the IMAQ Vision display function does use multi-threading. Whether it uses the second CPU for this thread is operating system dependant.

Below are some converters/adapters to look at. If these look like they may work:
USB 2.0 to HDMI Audio Video 1080P Adapter for Windows and Macbook
Matrox DualHead2Go D2G-A2D-IF (or look here)
These should allow you to run multiple displays in extended display mode. Note that these use HDMI as an output so you would need some additional adapter to conver HDMI to whatever your displays require. Of course these suggestions are all academic if such an adapter doesn't exist.

I just reread your last post and I am confused. Is it only your TV that you are trying to run in extended display mode? I thought you wanted more than two displays. If only the TV it should just work if you are not using mirrored displays. Your Displays Arrangement tab should show both your main screen (one with the little whith menu bar) and the TV. Set the proper resolution and refresh rate for the TV using it's Displays preference window. That is all you need to basically do (ignoring overscan/underscan problems).
Note, if you are using Lion then I have heard that when using full screen mode in Lion additional screens show nothing.

FAGLL03 doesn't display functional areas

Dear All,
Whenever we run the FAGLL03- Display GL line item report, it's not displaying the functional area value for some line items (for some it displays), even though the original posted document shows the functional area value. I would appreciate if anyone provides solution for this issue.

Hi Arun,
Check if note 1151397 is applied. Then check point 52 of note 1070629.
The functional area is determined as in classic General Ledger
Accounting. That is, the functional area characteristic is not
determined until documents are saved.
By default, after activation of New General Ledger, the reports only
read the tables for New GL Accounting if the the indicator 'read
from Classical GL' is not set in table FAGL_ACTIVEC.
I hope this helps. I'm taking a guess here since I don't know your system.

ALV GRID Display function module giving Run time error

Hello Experts,
I have ALV report, In which I am using ALV grid dispaly FM to display the report.
But when my out table which I am passing to FM is empty that time ALV grid display shows blank ALV report. but when out table is not empty that time I am getting the Run time error, which shows message "Field symbol has not yet been assigned".

Can't display Functions Pallet

I have LabView 2010 Pro Dev. Suddenly I can't display or access the functions pallet. I can get to the controls pallet.

How are you trying to access it? Maybe it is in an offscreen location? What happens when you right-click on the diagram?

'DISPLAY FUNCTION' under system preferences is MISSING!

Please help! i have connected my mac with an external monitor but when i want to change the resolution etc, the option 'displays' under 'system preferences' is not there!!!

Mini-Month display functions incorrectly

When I click on any date in the mini-month pane, the previous day is selected. If I click on the 20th, it goes to the calendar for the 19th. If I click on a sunday for a week view, it shows me the previous week. Is there a way to fix this or avoid the problem in the future? It's not critical like the whole calendar disappearing, but it's an annoyance.
I'm using iCal 2.0.5 right now.

A number of us have been suffering with this issue for quite some time. This is a known issue with MBP, mini display ports and 30" monitors. From the lack of progress on resolving this issue, one can only assume that it is either one heck of a problem or isn't getting the attention it needs. It is truly a shame that Apple's high-end customers who buy their expensive hardware have to put up with this. While a lot of people may not be connecting 30" monitors to their notebooks, it is a shame that those that do have endured this issue for so long.
Of course Apple could mitigate the issue by bringing out 30" Apple displays that support the mini-display port. I've already replaced one 30" HP monitor with Apple's 24" monitor to solve the problem. But I have four other 30" monitors that I'm not replacing with 24" monitors. But I've been waiting years for Apple to refresh their 30" Cinema displays. I'd buy 4 of them if they would just to solve this infuriating problem. But a guy could grown old and die waiting for Apple to fix some of these problems.

Callmanager End User Dialog Box will not display Function Buttons

When I go to USER MANAGER - END USER all of my function buttons are missing. There is no:
ADD NEW
SELECT ALL
CLEAR ALL
DELETE SELECTED
Also, I cannot edit the existing users even though I am logged in as Administrator. Please see the attached screenshot with the missing buttons. Is this a misconfiguration or could the software be corrupted?

I just have a VoIP lab, therefore I don' t have an LDAP server. I did create a modifed end user group, however I deleted all of the users from that group. Is there any way to restore the creating/editing of users without reinstalling the CUCM image?

No display function on Qosmio X500-13R

Hi everyone!
I tried to connect a projektor with HDMI cable to my laptop.
My problem is: I had picture only on my projektor.I tried to set it up,but i have do a failure.I dont know what.My laptop display doesn't work anymore.I reinstalled the windows with my projektor.
Now i can see nothing on my laptop and on my projektor too.
How can i solve this problem?

Hi have a look at the threads about " no HDMI output" it may help you. There is alot of advice that could solve your projector problem.

No lyrics display function with iso 5

I use my ipad 2 for backing tracks and with iso 4.3 I could display the lyrics with each track. It seems in iso 5 that apple in their wisdom have omitted the Lyrics and podcast app from the software which is going to leave a lot of people annoyed as there is no way back. Does anybody know a way round this or ar we just going to have to wait for the update whenever that is

There is no way back? Who says so?
Just download the 4.3.4 and install it, then restore the iPad from a backup.
