Display Geo-Location in Bridge

I GeoTag all my pictures and can display the location (Lat/Long, Altitude) in the Metadata. Is there a script or other add-on that can be used to display the physical map location, or Google Earth location, in a separate window when a particular photo is selected?
Thanks,
Paul

Is there a plug-in for Bridge CS6 that allows you to set the geo-location of an image or set of image using a map.  Google Maps for example?

  • How does the image time stamp display /modification vary among Bridge, Photoshop, and PS Element Org

I've noticed some discrepancies between times recorded in my image EXIF data as well as the time displayed with images in Bridge and Photoshop Elements Organizer.  For instance I may have a series of images shot within a few minutes of each other.  After having done some manipulation of a subset of the images and later on showing the sequence in both Bridge and PSE Organizer, I have noticed that the time associated with some of the images has changed.  Bridge and PSE Organizer may actually show times that differ by several hours.  It almost looks like the time is converted from the original camera time to UTC and then possibly back to the time zone where my computer is located.  The pattern is not completely consistent and may depend on what Adobe products have been used to adjust or catalog the images.  I'm looking for a good and complete description of how each product handles the image date and time stamp.  I suspect that there is some inconsistency in how this is done across the products.  I'm currently using Bridge / Photoshop CS6 Extended and Photoshop Elements Organizer 10.0 which were recently upgraded from CS 5 and 8.0 respectively.  I also use Adobe Camera Raw 7.1 to edit the Nikon raw files.  This problem appears to predate the upgrade of my products.

Well, it must be a system-specific bug of some sort that's been introduced, because I was able to create a 4200 x 3500 image made by mapping an image of similar size to a cylinder, and the cylinder would move/rotate in real time.  Of course, I have a completely different video card and system than you do, but I'm just verifying that it's not broken everywhere.
Rendering isn't hugely fast, but that's not unexpected with a larger image.
Maybe being more specific would help.  Is your mesh complex?
Is it something you'd be willing to share online or describe how to create?  I would be happy to try to match what you're doing more thoroughly to see whether I can reproduce the slowdowns.
Beyond that, I'm not sure what to suggest...  You don't have a lot of RAM to be working on 15 megapixel images, but as you say the thing to concentrate on is that you're seeing quite different performance from the Ps CS6 beta version.

  • Geo locations in SUP

    Hi,
Is it possible to use geo locations in a SUP container application? I read something in an article that it was possible in SUP 2.0. I have experience with geolocations in Xcode. But need to know if it works in SUP for my internship.
    here is the article:
    HYBRID WEB CONTAINER APPLICATIONS
SUP Hybrid Web Container bridges the deficiencies of todayu2019s Mobile Web Browsers with the power of device OS
services such as GeoLocation and others. Developers can build rich applications using Web technologies and add
functionality similar to what is available in todayu2019s native applications. In SUP 2.0, the Hybrid Web Container is a
complete rewrite of the client-side container technology available in previous versions that was based on proprietary
client-side application definition (XML) used to render the application interface within the container.
    grtz

This can work only on iOS and BB6 where the browser on these platforms provides html5 javascript api to retrieve geocode information
    navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition
Look at the sample code in this [link|http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6797569/html5-geolocation-easiest-way-to-get-city-name].

how to integrate bing map for including or displaying multiple locations at the same time

Have you aware of the geolocation field that's been introduced with SharePoint 2013?  You can store location data within a list and then integrate this within Bing.  The second tutorial on this Bing team blog will show it well.

re; Getting data from a live web site, based on geo-location.
Approx 4 minutes 25 seconds into this YouTube Adobe ELearning video for Common JavaScript Interface in Adobe Captivate 8, the topic of extracting data from a live web site http://api.openweathermap.org
Is there anywhere we can download this Adobe Captivate weather ticker project? or get some more complete tutorial on setting it up?  I tried to copy some of the code shown in the video, but can't get it to work, so I suspect I'm missing something somewhere.
I would like to try it out.
    Video Here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1ZfG47k24k

Could windows Firewall be stopping this geo-location weather ticker app from working? When I start Captivate 8, I get the message indicating the the firewall is blocking some features of the program. When I check the geo var it seems empty.

  • FLVs created with ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER CS6 do not display thumbnails in ADOBE BRIDGE CS6

Could you please attempt to shed some light on why FLVs created with ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER CS6 do not display thumbnails in ADOBE BRIDGE CS6, yet apple finder is able to display thumbnails for these same FLVs without issue?
I'm running CS6 Production Premium with ALL updates installed on 10.6.8
I appreciate any input and help provided the input is provided by someone who either
    A) knows the answer because they actually work for adobe
    B) actually tried this themselves before attempting to provide a solution
If the conclusion is that it is a codec issue or a header issue with the FLVs You'd have to present a very strong case to back that claim up as it makes no sense whatsoever that CS6 is unable to generate thumbnails for media encoded using CS6, yet Apple finder can without issue. NOT to mention the FLVs in question are CREATED on the same machine with the same codecs installed that is trying to generate previews in Bridge.
Apologies if my frustration is showing, I've gotten and seen several... incompetent replies on this forum regarding this issue and it has never been actually addressed properly as far as I can tell by Adobe support.

We are all just incompetent users here.  As pointed out before this is just a user to user forum, Adobe rarely checks in.
I was hoping by now you would have gotten to the bottom of this problem and were offering a solution.

  • Is there a way to display the location of an event?

I would like to display the location of an event in the appointment itself. Anyone know how to do this? Is it as simple as just putting it in the title instead of the event field?
    Thanks,
    Vinnie

The only things you can get to display in the calendar view are the title and time. Therefore, if you put the location in the title, it will be displayed.

  • How to display Bin Location Name in GRPO PLD ?

    Hi Experts,
Do you have any idea about how to display Bin location name in GRPO PLD (SAP B1 9).
    Awaiting for your valuable suggestions.
    Regards
    KMJ

    Nagaraj,
The requirement is when the user is doing GRPO, user will select the Bin location to receive the items. When the user given this GRPO details to Store keeper, user has to put the same items in particular bin  location.

  • Geo Location Custom Form is not Being Used

    Hi Experts,
I extended the Geo Location class and added a few fields that I needed. Also in the same XML/MP I added a custom form for it using Authoring Tool. Imported the management pack and didn't get any error. But when I open any locations still it uses the default
form rather than the custom one I created. Is there any dll or any other file that I should inject into SCSM folder? Is there any where I can troubleshoot why my custom form is not loading.
My SCSM is 2012 R2 with UR5 and Authoring Tool is on version 2012 R2 (7.5.3079.0).
    Thank you
    Soroush

    Hi,
How ahout adding the custom filed to extend the existing form?

  • More granular geo-location from the MSE?

I have a WCS 7.0.xx and a MSE 7.0.xx installed and working fine.
I have managed to get an geo-location answer from the MSE, but it  appears like it has low accuracy. Eg: 63:24:59N 10:24:9E. As far as I  can see, It contains only degrees, minutes and seconds, not decimal  seconds. If I remember correctly a second equals to about 30 meters in  north/south direction (and from about the same to 0 in east/west  depending on where it is placed between equator and the north/south  pole).
Is it possible to increase the number of decimals, so it does not lose more accuracy than it needs?

    Hmm.. `gpspipe` gives me:
gpspipe: could not connect to gpsd localhost:2947, Unknown error -6(-6)
    And `gpsd` gives me:
gpsd:ERROR: can't run with neither control socket nor devices
Do I need to be root for these applications? Alternatively, could I maybe just grab the timezone from /etc/localtime and use that? (though I guess that doesn't get close enough on longitude...)
You have to start gpsd from systemctl.  And you can plug/unplug gps devices at will, so it can be enabled in systemctl whether or not an actual gps is always available.

  • Where is the GEO location info?

I cannot seem to find where the geo location info is located on a pic. It is not showing up under picture information in iPhoto, or on the iPhone. Any help?
    Thanks

Yes, it's in the photo info. On a Mac, you can see it by selecting the photo, then hitting command-I (or right clicking and selecting "Show Photo Info." There are two fields near the bottom for "GPS Latitude" and "GPS Longitude."
Note that this also works on the first gen iPhone -- when I launched the camera, it asked whether Camera could use my current location info, then it tagged the photo I took.
However, I don't know yet how to use this data -- as a previous poster said, Flickr doesn't seem to know where that picture came from. When I view the photo in Flickr, the EXIF info still contains fields named "Latitude" and "Longitude" with the same data as shown in iPhoto, but Flickr can't put the photo in the right place on the map.

  • List Geo Location approved sites

So I have read up on Geo Location in FF a little bit and found that you can toggle whether a site can or cannot see your Geo location data by visiting the page and going to Page Info, then Permissions.
The problem is I hit Always Allow on some random Google related page and I cannot for the life of me figure out what page it was where I clicked Allow.
Is there a way to somehow get a list of all pages where I have specified either Allow or Block?
As opposed to the default setting which is "Always Ask"

  • Geo location poker

    hi
verizon gave me a good deal so i switched from optimum.  trouble is i use geo location software on my pc to play poker online.  never had a problem but i do now after switching to verizon.  the original modem/router would not let me create a guest account, (the poker sites need 2 wifi signals to detect i am in nj).  so i ordered the quantum modem/router ($4 more a month) and created my guest account, no joy.  called verizon they said it has nothing to do with them.  asked them to change my ip address no good.  changed firewall setting in router no good.  the poker sites said a lot of verizon customers have issues with geo location when they didnt before with other cable companies.  i was mad cause i had to pay $4 more for the option to have 2 wifi signals.  i am furious that i can not fix this, verizon claims its not them, how are 4 poker sites saying its a verizon problem but verizon says its not???  nothing changed on my pc accept for the router/modem.  i'm sure i'm not the only one with this problem, and wish someone who had it fixed could guide me.  right now the verizon deal is not lookin too good.  i am losing money (by not being able to play poker online).  7 days left if this does not get fixed back to optimum for me.

A WAN (wide area network) IP address is the public, routable IP address.  FiOS users get one WAN IP address.  The router shares that IP address with the LAN (local area network) devices by using a private, none routable address space.  Private LAN IP addresses are never used outside of the LAN.  As TelcoGuru pointed out, 192.168.x.x address are private addresses.  No systems outside of the LAN know or care about these addresses.  Changing them will have no effect on anything outside the LAN.
With the FiOS quantum router, everything uses the single WAN IP address.  The router hands out private IP addresses to devices on the Ethernet, WiFi and Guest WiFi, but those are not visible outside of your home.
It's possible that Optimum assigned two WAN IP addresses to their customer's routers, one for the private LAN space and one for Guest WiFi.  Was your Guest WiFi something that you managed and controlled or was it was available to any Optimum user as a "hot spot" without your control?  If it was the later, chances are very good that it was using a completely separate WAN IP address.  If that's the case, that's probably why you could use it as a 2nd network for geo location.
The crux of the problem is the poker systems folks probably don't give out too much info about how geo location works in order to prevent people from trying to circumvent it.  My guess is they want to see two completely different WiFi networks and public WAN IP addresses.  You won't get that with a Verizon router and guest network.
This is really an issue with how the poker system is setup and is not a Verizon issue.  If you can find out what the poker system wants to see, that would help.
    Good Luck.
