Display has areas that are dim or darker in color slightly

Has anyone else had this issue where a small area of the screen is slightly dimmed or slightly darker than the rest? It seems more pronounced after the screen has been "on" for a few minutes. It is more noticable the further my eyes are from the display, but at 2-2.5 feet I notice it enough to bother me.

Update: turned out to be the screen and the video driver.

I've just noticed that there's a roundish area at the center of my screen that never goes fully dark. If I turn the screen brightness right down, it's still bright, and if the display goes to sleep there remains a faint bright patch (If I put the computer to sleep the screen is completely dark).

Boot from your install disc and test. If it still does it, you have a hardware issue. Contact Apple and get it serviced if you are still in warranty.

Try disabling any and all A/V or security software you are running on your system and see if that helps.

Swf playing layers that are dimmed out.

I have been trying to save out an animation in swf. However for some reason it's playing animations layers that been dimmed out( Which I didn't want to include in the save swf.)
I'm not sure what's going on. I just want the layer "Walk_forward" to animate in the swf and not both "Walk_forward" layer and "Walk_in_place" I could just delete the one layer, but I would like to save them in the same file.

Right click on the title area of the layer you do not want in the animation and choose "Guide" It will still appear on the timeline for you to be able to use as a guide/reference, but will not appear in the published file.

Thanks for your input. I didn't completely flesh out what I'm seeing visually. The resolution settings are all correct for my screen. The problem is if, say, looking at the gray startup screens or a completely white full-screen image, there is a perimeter of graying, almost as if the LEDs are somehow not as bright as the rest. It's also curious that the thickness of this phenomenon is almost exactly the same as the metal bezel around the display. I will be taking it to an Apple Store for a look, as I'm also having several minor hardware problems that need to be addressed and remedied.

Why are my images darker on a mobile device?

Ok so here's a weird question. When I edit my images in PSE12, they look flawless on my computer. They even still look great on Facebook on my computer. When I view my images on my Android phone, even on Facebook, the images are darker, the colors are what I can best describe as violent. My customers say that the images are still great on disc. What my question is, how can I make the images look better on my Android phone and would my customers see the same awful colors on their devices or would they look like they do on a computer? I've tried resizing the images, readjusting, converting to sRGB, you name it. HELP PLEASE!!! Lol. I just want a fair and true representation of my work on mobile devices as they are on PC. Forgot to add that even when I just transfer the images via USB to my device, they're still dark.

Photos on the phone in the DCIM folder are those located in the camera roll. Photos that are synced to the phone from the computer cannot be accessed in this manner. They are synced and the only way to manage them is to connect the phone, go to the photos tab and un-select the folders you want to remove or go into the folder photos are located in and remove the photos you no longer want to sync. Then sync the phone and the photos will be removed.

Hp D7360 photo prints are all too dark or red tinged

every single photo we print we have to manually adjust settings to get it to look like the camera took it and the monitor shows it. they are always too dark or red toned. we do most of our printing in kodak easy share, i've changed color management from rgb to adobes and application manage and i printed from windows and fax viewer the only diffrences are the degree of darkness, is it impossible to just print them without fixing everyone!!! help

Check the monitor settings in the System/Displays/Color preference pane. You may have to change the color profile used or calibrate the monitor.
Also check the System/Accessibility preference pane to see if the Increase contrast checkbox is checked. If it is check it and see if there's any improvement.
