Display in alv according to age group

Hi Friends
i have data in internal table
I have to group it according to age
i mean on age group
Which Needs to Display in ALV
so how should i group them in ALV
OUTPUT like this :
EMPNUM        EMPLOYEENAME          DATE OFBIRTH/AGE
AGE GROUP: 0-29
999999          DOE JANE A.          01/01/1980  27
999999          DOE JOHN A.          01/01/1980  28
TOTALS: EMP 2
AGE GROUP: 30-34
999999          DOE JANE A.          01/01/1980 32
999999          DOE JOHN A.          01/01/1980  33
TOTALS: EMP 2
AGE GROUP: 35-39
999999          DOE JANE A.          01/01/1980  37
999999          DOE JOHN A.          01/01/1980  36

Hi,
Add a new field type c of length 30 in the final internal table and do as below.
loop at itab.
if itab-age GE 20 or itab-age LE 29
move : 'Age group 20 to 30' to itab-newfield.
modify itab.
clear itab.
else.
"Repeat same logic  for different age groups.
endif.
"Do subtotaling by new field of itab and age. And use gt_fieldcat-no_out = 'X' for newfield, so that newfield will not be displayed.
Thanks,
Sriram Ponna.

And I need to display the output of my ALV report in a group format like this:

    Hi Rainer,
Thanks for the reply. I am using container for the ALV Display.
So I wrote my code lie this:
sort t_data by zgroup zdesc  ( t_data is my output internal table) .
I have my ALV layout delcared like this:
    data: alv_layout type lvc_s_layo.
So I have modified my code like this:
    alv_layout-NO_MERGING  = 'X'.
But it did'nt work. Please let me know if I need make any other changes.
    Thanks again.

No, you will need the data in an internal table to use ALV.

  • Age group to make it time dependent display as per transaction date

    Hi All,
I have a doubt in displaying a attribute as time dependent. Below is my scenario.
I have a cube where am capturing the transaction data of the customer. Currently while the customer data loading using the customer number i do look up to the customer master data and findout the D.O.B and calculate the Age group(bucket) and punch it in the transactin cube itself. Note Age group is calculated based on the DOB and the transaction date. It was working fine.
But issue raised today customer is registered and he is allowed to do some transactions immediately after that, and the personal details like DOB, address is captured latter. Hence all the transactions until his DOB is maintained in the source system is puched in cube w/o DOB.
Hence i do not want to have it in the cube and want to have the age group to be fetched from attribute / some other mean. But in case if i make the agegroup as attribute of the customer it will show only the current age. But i need to show the agegroup as on the transactions date.
For ex. today customer age is 25 and day after tmr his age changes to 26. And in this case if i execute the report for whole month under 25 i should get the transaction and under 26 age i should get the respective transaction.
how should u achieve this. please help me out.
Note: Having a virtual KF seems createing the performance issue because data volume pulling out is more in numbers.
    thanks in advance
    Prem

    Hi,
In this scenario i think Virtual Key figure is inevitable.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi Abhay,
After moving the whole data into final internal table, pass that internal table to function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
before that you need to build field catalog and have to build layout with all the required columns.

The common features of report are column alignment, sorting, filtering, subtotals, totals etc. To implement these, a lot of coding and logic is to be put. To avoid that we can use a concept called ABAP List Viewer (ALV).
This helps us to implement all the features mentioned very effectively.
Using ALV, We can have three types of reports:
    1. Simple Report
    2. Block Report
    3. Hierarchical Sequential Report
There are some function modules which will enable to produce the above reports without much effort.
All the definitions of internal tables, structures and constants are declared in a type-pool called SLIS.
    1. SIMPLE REPORT.
    The important function modules are
    a. Reuse_alv_list_display
    b. Reuse_alv_fieldcatalog_merge
    c. Reuse_alv_events_get
    d. Reuse_alv_commentary_write
    e. Reuse_alv_grid_display
    A. REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY : This is the function module which prints the data.
    The important parameters are :
    I. Export :
    i. I_callback_program : report id
ii. I_callback_pf_status_set : routine where a user can set his own pf status or change the functionality of the existing pf status
iii. I_callback_user_command : routine where the function codes are handled
iv. I_structure name : name of the dictionary table
    v. Is_layout : structure to set the layout of the report
vi. It_fieldcat : internal table with the list of all fields and their attributes which are to be printed (this table can be populated automatically by the function module REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE
vii. It_events : internal table with a list of all possible events of ALV and their corresponding form names.
    II. Tables :
    i. t_outtab : internal table with the data to be output
    B. REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE : This function module is used to populate a fieldcatalog which is essential to display the data in ALV. If the output data is from a single dictionary table and all the columns are selected, then we need not exclusively create the field catalog. Its enough to mention the table name as a parameter(I_structure name) in the REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY. But in other cases we need to create it.
    The Important Parameters are :
    I. Export :
    i. I_program_name : report id
ii. I_internal_tabname : the internal output table
iii. I_inclname : include or the report name where all the dynamic forms are handled.
    II Changing
ct_fieldcat : an internal table with the type SLIS_T_FIELDCAT_ALV which is
declared in the type pool SLIS.
    C. REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET : Returns table of possible events for a list type
    Parameters :
    I. Import :
Et_Events : The event table is returned with all possible CALLBACK events
for the specified list type (column 'NAME'). For events to be processed by Callback, their 'FORM' field must be filled. If the field is initialized, the event is ignored. The entry can be read from the event table, the field 'FORM' filled and the entry modified using constants from the type pool SALV.
    II. Export :
    I_List_type :
    0 = simple list REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
    1 = hierarchcal-sequential list REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
    2 = simple block list REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    3 = hierarchical-sequential block list
    REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
    D. REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE : This is used in the Top-of-page event to print the headings and other comments for the list.
    Parameters :
    I. it_list_commentary : internal table with the headings of the type slis_t_listheader.
This internal table has three fields :
    Typ : ‘H’ – header, ‘S’ – selection , ‘A’ - action
Key : only when typ is ‘S’.
Info : the text to be printed
    E. REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY : A new function in 4.6 version, to display the results in grid rather than as a preview.
    Parameters : same as reuse_alv_list_display
This is an example for simple list.
    2. BLOCK REPORT
This is used to have multiple lists continuously.
The important functions used in this report are:
    A. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT
    B. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    C. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
    D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
    A. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT
    Parameters:
    I. I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM
    II. I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET
    III. I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND
This function module is used to set the default gui status etc.
    B. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    Parameters :
    Export :
    I. is_layout : layout settings for block
    II. it_fieldcat : field catalog
III. i_tabname : internal table name with output data
IV. it_events : internal table with all possible events
    Tables :
    i. t_outtab : internal table with output data.
This function module adds the data to the block.
Repeat this function for all the different blocks to be displayed one after the other.
    C. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
This function module is used for hierarchical sequential blocks.
    D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
Parameters : All the parameters are optional.
This function module display the list with data appended by the above function.
Here the functions REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE, REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET, REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE can be used.
    3. Hierarchical reports :
    Hierarchical sequential list output.
    The function module is
    A. REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
    Parameters:
    I. Export:
    i. I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM
    ii. I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET
    iii. I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND
    iv. IS_LAYOUT
    v. IT_FIELDCAT
    vi. IT_EVENTS
vii. i_tabname_header : Name of the internal table in the program containing the
output data of the highest hierarchy level.
viii. i_tabname_item : Name of the internal table in the program containing the
output data of the lowest hierarchy level.
ix. is_keyinfo : This structure contains the header and item table field
names which link the two tables (shared key).
    II. Tables
    i. t_outtab_header : Header table with data to be output

  • Select row button not getting displayed in alv grid.

    Hi ,
As per my requirement I am using tab strip in module pool.
Each tab strip is containing one ALV.
And user can change delete or create one record when the alv is displayed.
The same should be saved in the database and ALV should be refreshed.
When I am displaying the ALV the left most option of the ALV with which I can select the whole row is not coming.
Because of which I am unable to call the method to get the selected row and delete or change accordingly.
Why this button is not coming?
I am using set_table_for_first_display in my program.
    Please help.

    Hi,
In the method SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY, you will have to change the Selection Mode to 'A'. I guess you are not passing any values to the Layout parameters.
Once you do that, you will find what your are looking for.
    Data : LA_LAYO type LVC_S_LAYO.
    LS_LAYO_SEL_MODE = 'A'.
and pass this to the method's layout parameter.
    Cheers,
    SKC,

  • Display a ALV report in EP

    Hi,
What is the best way to display an ALV report in the Portal?
I would like the report to be displayed in the GUI of the Portal (meaning, I would like to work with WebDynpro or PDK or any other way such that the GUI will be identical to all the other Portal objects).
    Thanks in advance,
    Aviad

    Hi,
You can actually, as suggested by others, code the PDV_ALV found in the PDK yourself.
All you need is to understand the workflow of the BAPI called "PORTAL_ALV_QUERY_CALL".
This BAPI is configured to get the properties of a query and another BAPI (derived from Z_QUERY_SELECTIONS) which plants additional data in the original query.
For example - If you wish to activate a query called myQuery1 in the user group FI-AP with a variant called TEST between a date range selected by the portal user. The parameters passed to the BAPI are as follows -
    "QUERY_NAME=myQuery1"
    "QUERY_USERGROUP=FI-AP"
    "QUERY_VARIANT=TEST"
    "QUERY_CREATE_SELTAB_FM=Z_QUERY_SELECTIONS_1"
    "FROM_DATE="
    "TO_DATE="
What will happen in the background is that the query myQuery1 from the usergroup FI-AP will be activated using the variant TEST and using the QUERY_CREATE_SELTAB_FM value the date fileds will be assigned to their corresponding fields in the query. After the activation the BAPI will return a table with the result.
    Hope it helps,
    Aviad

  • Need to display two ALV GRIDs in a single screen

    Hi,
I have a question, i'm using version 4.6. I want to display 2 ALVs in a single screen or by calling.
Step 1 : The internal table (which holds the data for the ALVs has to be populated before calling ALV1 or ALV2)
Step 2 : Display In a single report
ALV1 report (Editable ,Has to be a GRID)
ALV2 report (Non Editable, Has to be a GRID)
                             (or)
Step 1 : The internal table (which holds the data for the ALVs has to be populated before calling ALV1 or ALV2)
    Step 2 :
ALV1 report (Editable ,Has to be a GRID, with a custom button to call ALV2 hiding the ALV1 ie not visible to user)

    0 = simple list REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY
    1 = hierarchcal-sequential list REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
    2 = simple block list REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    3 = hierarchical-sequential block list
    REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
    D. REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE : This is used in the Top-of-page event to print the headings and other comments for the list.
    Parameters :
    I. it_list_commentary : internal table with the headings of the type slis_t_listheader.
This internal table has three fields :
    Typ : ‘H’ – header, ‘S’ – selection , ‘A’ - action
Key : only when typ is ‘S’.
Info : the text to be printed
    E. REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY : A new function in 4.6 version, to display the results in grid rather than as a preview.
    Parameters : same as reuse_alv_list_display
This is an example for simple list.
    2. BLOCK REPORT
This is used to have multiple lists continuously.
The important functions used in this report are:
    A. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT
    B. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    C. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
    D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
    A. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_INIT
    Parameters:
    I. I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM
    II. I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET
    III. I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND
This function module is used to set the default gui status etc.
    B. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND
    Parameters :
    Export :
    I. is_layout : layout settings for block
    II. it_fieldcat : field catalog
III. i_tabname : internal table name with output data
IV. it_events : internal table with all possible events
    Tables :
    i. t_outtab : internal table with output data.
This function module adds the data to the block.
Repeat this function for all the different blocks to be displayed one after the other.
    C. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_HS_APPEND
This function module is used for hierarchical sequential blocks.
    D. REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
Parameters : All the parameters are optional.
This function module display the list with data appended by the above function.
Here the functions REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE, REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET, REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE can be used.
    3. Hierarchical reports :
    Hierarchical sequential list output.
    The function module is
    A. REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY
    Parameters:
    I. Export:
    i. I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM
    ii. I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET
    iii. I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND

output data of the highest hierarchy level.
viii. i_tabname_item : Name of the internal table in the program containing the
output data of the lowest hierarchy level.
ix. is_keyinfo : This structure contains the header and item table field
names which link the two tables (shared key).
    II. Tables
    i. t_outtab_header : Header table with data to be output
ii. t_outtab_item : Name of the internal table in the program containing the
output data of the lowest hierarchy level.
slis_t_fieldcat_alv : This internal table contains the field attributes. This internal table can be populated automatically by using ‘REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE’.
    Important Attributes :
    A. col_pos : position of the column
    B. fieldname : internal fieldname
    C. tabname : internal table name

  • Attempting to Display Total/Percentage in Answers when grouped by Attribute

    Hi all,
I'm relatively new to BI and attempting the following setup. (I'm simplifying the model somewhat of course).
I have a Fact called Job which has an attribute called Type ( along with others such as Create Date , Delivered Date , Length , Score etc ).
What I need to display , is the following columns together in Answers.
Type | Count of Type | Percentage of Total Number of Jobs.
Count of Type is just the number of times the Type shows up for a specific type value.
I can easily do a "Count of Type" as a Logical Column in the Business Model and Mapping for the Fact Table using a Default Aggregation Rule of Count.
Percentage of Total Number of Jobs is supposed to be the Percentage that the specific Type Count is of the total number of jobs . i.e. Count of Type / Total number of all Jobs as %age.
This is where I have my issue. I can create a logical column called Total Number of Jobs using default aggregation rule of count on Job ID and create a Percentage using Calculation Wizard just fine.
But when I try to have this column in Answers against the first two columns I don't get the right result - I get 100% for every row in the third column - because of course it is grouping the results by Type so it is calculating the "Total Number of Jobs" and consequently the Percentage measure for each individual Type. Thus I get something like
Type | Count of Type | Percentage of Total Number of Jobs
    1 | 5 | 100%
    2 | 5 | 100%
When I really want to get
Type | Count of Type | Percentage of Total Number of Jobs
    1 | 5 | 50%
    2 | 5 | 50%
Is there any way I can "store" the total number of jobs in the Business Model and Mapping Layer as a logical column in the Job Fact so that it does not display the count aggregate for the grouping (Type) but instead just the total count ?
I'll be glad to clarify if this sounds too fuzzy.
    Thanks in advance.
    AB.

    Hi ,
Thanks for the reply , that is successful at getting past the issue of having 100% as the result in every row which would happen if we used a measure built in the Business Model and Mapping layer.
I'm running into some other minor issues but I think they are data row count related .. I will update this if they are not.
Additional clarification if it helps anyone else with similar issues.
Basically Type is an attribute of the Job Detail Fact ( 0 to many rows per job ) . There is also a Job Fact that is at a higher level of granularity ( one row per job ).
What I am trying to do is display the Percentage or even the Total Number of Jobs ( row count of Job Fact ) in each row along with the Type and Count of Type of Job Detail.
This is of course made complex because not all Jobs have a Job Detail row and some have many.
In my Job Detail logical table source , I have the Logical Table Job Detail mapped to both the Job and Job detail physical tables . ( I have tried connecting both via Inner and Left Outer joins) .
So ideally I would see something like
Type of Job Detail | Count of Type of Job Detail | Total Number of Jobs | Percentage of Total Number of Jobs
    1 | 5 | 50 | 10%
    2 | 5 | 50 | 10%
Where the percentage and total are of Jobs and the total is less than 100% .

  • ICal: Instead of colored dots, can every event's headline be displayed in color accordingly?

Before the upgrade, every events is displayed in colour accordingly, with All-Day-Event highlighted.
After the upgrade, only the "All-day event" is highlighed in clour. But the headline/subject of everything else (from every calendars) is displayed in dark grey with a small colored dots.
For example, It's too difficult to spot my important work meetings (in blue) from the rest of the non-important personal events (in purple).
those blue dots looks very close to purple dots. This really is making my calendar looking confusing.

Mavericks applies color to events only in day and week views. Before events in month view had a color corresponding to the specific calendar it was in (appointments, school, etc). Only all-day events now are highlighted in color. This is a step backward. I hope that Apple updates iCal to bring back the highlighting of all calendar events in all views.

  • Data not getting displayed in ALV grid when run in background

    Hello experts!
Could anyone help me out please?
I need to display an ALV grid in the background. My requirements are as follows:
I first display an ALV grid in the foreground based on some input parameters. The user selects a few records for updating it and clicks on the "update" button. On the click of this button another report must be called and here the ALV report is displayed in the background.I am using "reuse_alv_grid_display" to display the grid.
I am using Import/Export to get the selected rows in my called report. When i execute this report in the foreground i get the ALV grid along with the data. But when i execute it in the background, i get only the grid with the fieldnames and not the data when i check in SP01.
    Thanks in advance!
    Smitha

    Hi Smitha,
If you are able to see in SP01 and only see the output layout or "List contains no data" shows clealry that the data is not getting passed in the called program or the data is not being used correctly in the called program.
    Cheers

    Hello,
To assign material group to G/l account you have to matain valuation class for Material group
SPRO >> Materials Managment >> Purchasing >> Material Master >> Entry aids for items with out material master.
Assign this valaution class to G/l in OBYC.

  • Is it possible to display list alv and grid alv in the same screen

    Hi
There are methods to display more than 1 alv grid in the same screen by using block append grid . In the same manner its available for more than 1 list alv report display by REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND.
My question is I want to display 1 alv list and 1 alv grid report in the same output screen .
Please let me know how to do it ?  I will definetly appreciate the answers.
    Thanks!!
