Display is off-center and mostly without color

The laptop display usually works perfectly but there are a couple of events that cause the screen to have issues for some time (usually less than 5 minutes). This happens quite frequently when the computer is restarted and I first log in, or the laptop is removed from the docking station (which connects it to a second monitor).
The Intel HD Graphics 300 driver has been deleted and reinstalled multiple times to no improvement, using first the driver from HP and then using the Intel Driver Update Utility.
It always has the same problems: pushed left and wrapped around, with most color in a single column. Picture of screen when the issue is happening:

Hmmm, 2mm is a pretty big offset when you come to think about it.
Apple's been trumpeting their new manufacturing process with tighter tolerances on these new Macbooks/MBP's. Maybe so, but based on the number of posts here already, it appears that their quality control is subpar.
Having said that, I suppose it's business as usual for early adopters of Apple hardware. Last time I got burned on Apple hardware was with my MDD G4's leafblower loud fans.
Despite that negative experience, I'm waiting for my CTO 2.8 MBP to arrive this week. I made the leap of faith and switched from Thinkpads. I hope it won't have any issues.

The gui does not support the coloring in table controls. You can set the hightlight attribute, but this will only make the text blue in color. There is no way to make it any other color.

Quicktime Player opens off center and to large

Hello,
The QuickTime player always opens to large and off center on my screen. I have changed preferences in the options to every setting possible but nothing works. Using Windows 8. My windows 7 machine behaves exactly the same. I am running the Free version of QuickTime. I do video editing so I must have QuickTime in order to do my work. I have many videos with transparency created with the Animation codec. The Windows player cannot play them, if it would I would not need the QuickTime player at all.When I click the fullscreen button at the top right hand corner of the player it corrects itself but I must first slide the player to the left to get access to the button which is offscreen .I should not need to do this. Thanks to anyone that can help. This is a very irritating thing to deal with.

When i try to download any page with firefox 4 the downloading freezes for some time without freezing the hoole pc.For an example if i download the same time the same page with firefox 4 and explorer,the firefox freezes but not the explorer and it is easy to understant which download faster.How can i fix the problem because i like firefox

SMS is not iMessage and is sent only with cell text plan (not wifi).

Sometimes my screen starts to move on my iMac. It's like it's trying to turn the page and it gets off center and the mouse doesn't work when it happens. It usually lasts about 15 seconds or so and happens often.

Sometimes the screen on my imac starts to shake like it it trying to "go to the next page". When this happens it usually freezes up for 15 seconds or so and the mouse doesn't work.

Have you tried a hard reset of the iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, work through each of the troubleshooting suggestions in this Apple support document as necessary.

T400, External monitor displayed off center.

So I have a Lenovo T400 with the ATI/onboard switchable graphics. When I plug it into my external monitor with the onboard graphics enabled, it displays correctly. When I have it connected with the ati graphics enabled, it displays off center and cuts off the right 1/5 of the screen. If I have my external display at a lower resolution, it works like it's supposed to.

I've already tried reinstalling the drivers and adjusting the screen position with the monitor... any other ideas?
BTW this is on Windows 7. Laptop code is 2764-CTO

Display goes off and comes back only when Satellite A210 is restarted

Hi,
Satellite A210 displays goes off now and then and comes back only when the machine is restarted.
Usual runtime runtime 30 or 45 mins
Please advice
# Is this a hardware problem or software?

Machine is year and a half old runs windows vista basic that comes with it.
I have reinstalled the display adapter drivers also the problem remains same

Have you tested an external monitor on the notebook?
If the external monitor works fine it seems to be an internal display issue and must be replaced.
Are you running the factory settings on your notebook or have you installed your own Windows version? Before you go to an authorized service provider you should restore the factory settings to determine if its a hardware or software problem. With the factory settings all should work properly and if not in my opinion its a hardware problem.

Presently --- I am able to display cost center and its cost elements in the same leading coloumn and its periodical values for 16 consecutive col.s.
Help Needed --- Suggest how to display cost center and cost element in the output of the report along the periodic values.

Why does my keyboard repeat keys and the screen goes off center?

Keyboard repeats letters, erases multiple letters and generally goes crazy. Also screen goes off center and too large for frame.

First see:

My screen is off center

my screen display is off-center. How can I get it to fill the entire width of the screen?

And set the "resolution" to the default setting (the highest) in SystemPreferences/Displays.

Title 3D Off Center

I used Title 3D for some titles superimposed over a still. I typed the text into the text box and chose the center icon to center the titles. After I made the DVD I noticed my titles were off center and quite noticeably so for the ones that extended across the screen. I went back to the video and saw that the titles were indeed off-center (looking at the title safe rulers). I tried adding one space to the end of each title line and that seemed to correct the problem.
Has anyone had this problem with Title 3D, or is something wrong with my procedure? I searched the threads in this forum and didn't find anything.

Ian, After making the adjustment of adding one space to each line I tried my video on a different TV and DVD player and I concluded that the first TV/Player combination was causing part of my problem. So thanks for suggesting it might be the TV. I'm pretty satisfied with the final results now.
I guess I've learned to look with a critical eye with the aid of the "title safe" rulers at any titles that cover a large part of the screen.

Window is off center

when I open Adobe Elements 12 organizer, the window is off center and the tool bar is out of reach. I have a mac and have tried to zoom out to make it smaller, re-calabrate the screen resolution,reset preferences, and completely un install and re install with no fix. Please help as my new program is completely useless at this time.Window is off center

Open Firefox -> Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now you can Enable the Add-ons back and it should be ok.

FaceTime camera on new iPad appears off center

This isn't my first iPad so I am familiar with how the FaceTime camera operates but when using this new one my camera appears to be off center and my face is cut off in both landscape and portrait positions. Does anyone know why it might be doing this?

What do you mean? The FaceTime camera isn't aligned in the center of the top of the iPad? As for your face being cut off, I think that may be a software glitch, just restore your iPad (back it up before you restore it, but don't put any of your apps back) then see if the problem still persists. If it's fixed after you have no apps, try updating all your apps, otherwise an app may have a bug that is causing your iPad to do this. The FaceTime camera may not look aligned because you might be concentrating too hard at it. Let me know if this helped
