Display Length of Titles

The time duration settings for titles are not very accurate. As an example one cannot set a "Sub-Titles"
to appear within a Movie Clip for more than 1 or 2 seconds, regardless of the number of seconds one selects in the timing selector at the bottom of the title window.
Also if a Wide Screen setting is used, the titles are not centered within the clip. I'm wondering if anybody has found a solution to these problems other then switching to iMovie 9 or Final Cut Express?

You are right. iMovie's title duration settings are not very accurate. I can get 4 seconds duration from the Subtitle title when I set it to the maximum 9 seconds. If I use Centered Title, I can freeze it during preview playback, and drag it to the bottom of the screen, thus turning it into a sub title. By doing that I can get about 5 seconds duration for its maximum setting of 8 seconds.
I suggest that you look at the numerous available title plug-ins for iMovie on www.geethree.com. I don't have that program, but I would guess that it has more accurate title duration settings than iMovie.

so similarly....the header title should vary each time when you select different user_id.

Zack..I have several projects listed under several project id's...
so when a user selects project id 00164 then it should display something like "Project document for Jon Doe"
again when the user selects project id as 00192 then it should display something like "project document for Zimmerman"

I seem to have solved my own problem. When I disabled the add-on "Tab Renamizer" everything started working fine.

How do I enable my first and second generation Apple TVs to display descriptions and titles from photos in my IPhoto library?

The Apple TV was working perfectly before this change. I did not do any setting changes on the HDTV. All the problems I have had just recenly popped up. As I stated, I cleared the "ERROR OCCURRED LOADING CONTENT, by power cycling the Apple TV and my WiFi modem per https://discussions.apple.com/message/24372796 and the only item I did not perform was the RESTART/RESET step because I was able to stream a Netflix program without receiving the Error Message and that cleared Problem #1. Problem #2 was the Display size issue. That is why I asked about the RESTART/RESET question. This Apple TV has been functioning perfctly for over a year and I just wanted to research (whether you advised me or you povided me with an HT Document) hwhat I needed to do to re-establsh the Apple TV TV back to working like it was, if the RESTART/RESET set the Apple TV to virgin state.
I will try toggling the the Resolution and I will chek on how to access the HDTV's Picture settings.

How to set still photo display length

How can I change the length that a still photos is displayed so I don't have to manually do this for each photo?

Nik,
This is done in Edit>Preferences>General. IIRC, the still Duration is in Frames, not seconds, so take note of that. Do this, prior to Import. It will also set the Duration for Titles, but they are easy to adjust for Duration.

Is there a way to modify the name displayed in the Title Bar at the top of the Audition Window?

It's not uncommon for me to have a copy of Audition versions 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 all open at the same time if I'm doing some editing for a complex project.
It would be handy for me to quickly see which window I have open without having to recognise the icons of the different versions. At the moment, each Title Bar just displays the Audition icon and the words "Adobe Audition". I'd like to add the version number to the name, if it's possible. I'm happy to edit the Windows Registry, if that is what is needed.
Does anybody know where the Title Bar information is stored?

I have an answer you might like Howard.
You could simply export one title to a PRTL file, then duplicate it using an Excel VB macro to change the name of the file based on a list in an excel file. You could type in a couple of dates, then just drag down to the 365th row and all of the dates would be there waiting for the macro to rename the file. Then, if you are really talented, you could find the appropriate text in the XML file and change it to match the name of the title, but without the PRTL extension.
That way the font and position and style would all be right and the effort would be in a file you could share with the world.
Hmmm. I might have to try that myself one of these days. Could come in handy. If you are more comfortable with Word than Excel, create the dates in Excel and paste them into a table in Word. Just be careful not to mess up the

Is there a way you can display a persons title from a form in a workflow notification?

I have created a normal form using the form builder and of course you have to use the title, first name and last name etc.
Now everything works fine and the details are sent to the database and an email goes to the customer BUT with the
workflow notification that goes to the Admins of the site the "title" is not shown under the Workflow Summary tag.
Is there a way I can get the Workflow Summary in the notification to display the person's title?

How to display all items titles from custom list with checkbox to select for each user

Hi All,
I have a requirement in a sharepoint 2013 development project.
A custom list items will be created by admin with the following columns:
Title
Hyperlink
User business unit (This column which is a metadata will be a userprofile property)
In a page/form I have to display the list of titles with a check box based on each user business unit and each user will be allowed to check the list of titles and hit save. And then have to display the list chosen by the user in a webpart.
If they want to modify their list they have to go to the page/form again and will uncheck the list.
Am not sure whether I can achieve this through sharepoint out of box feature, I have not done any custom development.
Please provide your valuable suggestions/ideas on this. Thanks for looking on this !!!

Per my knowledge, there are no such OOTB features can meet your requirement, however, there is a workaround that if you can modify your requirement a bit.
Based on your description, you want different users be able to select values from a list and generate a list own by them.
If this is what you mean, we can do it like this:
1. Create another list "Users" which stores the names of every users;
2. Create a list "Result" which will be available for every user to add their own items, this list will have four Lookup columns and they look up to the "Users" list and the
list you mentioned before;
3. Users can add items into "Result" list by selecting the needed values from the other two list, then the items he/she created will be connected to them with the help of the
Lookup column which looks up to the "Users" list.
4. You can take use of the OOTB permission management of list to control the access of each item in the "Result" list, and it will be easier for you to manage and filter the
information you needed.

does anyone know how i can display the artist and title of japanese and chinese songs in itunes? thanks.
it used to work on my old computer on old itunes but when i moved it to my new computer, also dell, it comes up with some gibberish squares.
no issues on ipod, though.

ITunes 8.1 Cover Flow - Won't Display Full Album Titles/Artist Names

I don't understand why Apple would change Cover Flow to display less characters than before, but many, many artists/albums aren't showing complete titles, with an elipse marking where it gives up. There doesn't seem to be a universal character limit either, as, bizarrely, a few short titles like 'Come On Pilgrim' aren't showing either.
Does anybody else suffer from this problem? Is it fixable? If not, I think I'll be rolling back.

Just to add, when the album is selected on my ATV, all track names are shown so they're obviously in the system. It's only when they start playing that most of the time I just get 'Track 4' etc.

How do I get to display employee job titles within a list?

I want to create a list that will hold employee data. I have a requirement to auto populate a second column based on a previous entry in the first column. More details....if the end user enters in an employee name in the first column, I want to be able to
display the selected employee's job title in the second column. Is there a way to do this without writing custom code in SharePoint? Is there a way to use a lookup column to display this information? If so, how?

As I understand, you need to auto populate Job Title per an account name in person or group field.
I'd suggest you use InfoPath rule to auto populate. If you need to get properties in User Profile, you can refer to the article below:

However, Job Title is not listed. We can use User Information List to get Job Title of user. By default, Job Title is not available in User Information List. Please go to User Profile Service Application > Manage User Properties > Job Title > Edit
> Policy Settings, uncheck User can override and check Replicable.
Then manually run timer jobs below:
Now check User Information List via
http://sitename/_catalogs/users/simple.aspx > Edit page > edit web part > edit current view, see if Job Title is listed.
If so, then we can use UIL list to get Job Title value per Account name.

Issue in Displaying mail attachment title..

Hello guys,
I have a WF task which sends an SAP mail with an attachment. The attachment reaches the mail correctly..
The only issue is that the attachment title appears as "No title".. even though a title exists in the Workflow/Task container..
In the workflow log, I can see the correct title against the task. Do you know if this is a problem related to SAP standard? (I am working in R/3 4.6B)

Thank you very much for all your inputs. Nevertheless, I guess the issue itself was not clear, sorry if the description was too vague.
The issue:
In one of my workflow step, I am trying to send an SAP-mail with an SAP Object as attachment (which means that upon clicking on the attachment, the standard transaction CC03 should open up and display the change number instance that is in the workflow container).
For this purpose, I used the standard 'mailing' workflow step.
Now, in the 'control' tab of the standard mailing step, we see that mailing is performed by a task which has the business object SELFITEM and its method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION. We can also see that this method has an importing (tables) parameter of business object type SOFM, for specifying attachments.
I filled this attachment table in a previous step using another method (along with the correct title). I am able to get the attachment in my mail and am able to view the CC03 transaction from the attachment.
Only the title appears as 'No title' regardless of what I give. After execution, when I checked this in my workflow log, the title seems to be intact in the task container. Somehow, after that, the title is lost when the mail gets sent.
I hope the issue is clear now. This seems to me like an issue with the standard method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION. Have you come across any notes or patches for this?

Could anyone explain to me how I can display the length of a
video embedded in Flash!?
The video is 26 seconds long and I would like the customer to
see that.
Ive looked all over and cant find the an answer.
Is this only possible with streamed video?
Do I need a special FLV Playback component?
Can this be solve with Actionscript?
Im stuck at work with this issue.

i am using XCode to create an AS droplet.
wondering why i cant set a title to my display dialog code.
during search in this forum i found this thread:

but to be honest, i didn't expect that i am limited in Xcode too.
Short code example:
display dialog "foo"
works
but
this code:
display dialog "foo" with title "bar"
not.
Would be great to find a workaround to get dialogs with titles.
And on the other hand to understand why i cant use title in Xcode.
btw: is it possible to format the output of a display dialog ?
i.e. creating new lines ?

I'm not sure but you may try 'run script' to invoke 'display dialog' of Standard Additions.
Something like this.

As for 'display dialog' in AS Studio, it differs from and overrides 'display dialog' command in Standard Additions. Don't know why it does not have 'with title' which is rather new parameter introduced with AS 1.10 (OSX 10.4).
