Display matching problem

the image displayed became a little bigger than the screen: so the doc and the top line cannot be displayed at the same time but need to move a little the image on the screen to be in the displayed area: what happened? could be reset?

I forgot to mention that I did place a brand new PRAM battery as well.
I also checked the RAM and just about everything else I could imagine.
I'm not completely clueless with the PC troubleshooting as I do build PC time to time. But this Mac is dead as a log when the power switch is pressed on.
I have another beige Mac that has no trouble booting up without the PRAM battery. I have a PC that will boot even without the battery, RAM, graphic card, CPU, fans, etc.
I haven't had a chance to buy the multimeter yet. But I too am suspicious about the PSU. I even opened up the PSU but I saw no blown capacitors, burnt transistors or anything that looks abnormal. Is there a website where they can DIY fix Mac Mirror PSU?

Can't download music - seems to be an iTunes Match problem

I have iTunes Match activated, which is working fine on my iPad and iPhone. However I cannot download purchased music onto the iMac.
In my household there is a shared iMac and each user has a different login & password. Only I know my login password. I have been using iTunes successfully on it for years, and have been using iTunes successfully for about 6 months now. Auto-download has been disabled for several months now because I don't want everything downloaded automatically. All has been fine until about a fortnight ago when the iMac stopped downloading newly purchased music whenever I clicked the little iCloud icon. This is for music that I have successfully purchased and downloaded on my iPhone whilst at work, and now want to listen to at home. Whenever I click the iCloud icon to download the new song I get an error message telling me that the computer is already associated with an Apple ID, and I have to wait 54 days etc to sign in with a new Apple ID. However I'm certain no other Apple ID has been used with my account - when I go to the Store menu it is showing my current and correct Apple ID.
The most telling proof that my Apple ID is correct on both iMac and iPhone (and iPad as well) is that when I plug the iPhone into the iMac, the new music syncs across EXACTLY as it should - and it can then be played without problems. Both the phone and the computer are correctly logged in to the same Apple ID, which is the same Apple ID that I use for iTunes Match. Also when I click Store -> Update iTunes Match there appears to be no Apple ID conflict.
Obviously this is an iTunes Match problem which I cannot resolve, can someone please provide assistance / advice.
(iPhone 4 with iOS 6, iMac mid 2010 with Mountain Lion 10.8.2, single Apple ID for iTunes Store, iTunes Match and iCloud).

Hi, I read the post about calibration and I probably do that a little too often TBH! As I get so little time out the battery and mainly use my MBP on my lap, usually with the power supply near by, it gets charged to full, run to empty to the point of sleep, or sometimes it even cuts out and then is recharged to full again, so I really think it's new battery time. I've seen non Apple Official ones for between £35 and £65 that have 3 year warranties and state they are around 5200mh but am unsure due to reviews.

Anyway's I have now ordered a non Apple replacement from Amazon for about £35 and it has several good reviews and 4.5 out of 5 stars so I'll see if it works and report back. If it doesn't I'll send it back and get the Official Apple one.

Satellite L40-14F - Display settings problem

Hi,
I have Toshiba Satellite L40-14F with Intel GMA X3100 video card.
I have display settings problem, I can't change screen resolution and color quality when video card drivers are installed, screen resolution is 800 by 600 pixels and color quality is lowest 4 bits, when i uninstall video card drivers can change it. I try to install other drivers, there are the same problem :( Please help me :)

Aperture crashes when doing enhancements crashed at thread 35 which i think is a display driver problem any ideas folks

Aperture keeps crashing every time I try and do some auto enhancements crash log comes up with crashed at thread 35 or 36 which seems to point to a display driver problem imac 2.16 intel core 2 duo 3gb ram os x 10.6.7.
This is making aperture unusable I might go back to lightroom never had these problems with it.

It was DOA (Dead On Arrival). It is obviously to see it from BIOS to windows backround. I do not think that Lenovo, a famous brand name, could not detect this error before package it.

I'm going nuts with display driver problems!!!!

I joined the forum some time ago but I can't get back in so I logged in with a new ID.(Pain)
I have a problem that I hope someone can help with When I place any of my work or a photo into CS5-Ext. I can't do any work on it? No matter what tool other than the paint brush I use, as soon as I click on the picture / work it disappears and will only re-appear if I click on it again. I've tried all sorts and it's driving me nuts, Can anyone help?---PLEASE---

That sounds like a display driver problem.
What OS are you running?
If Windows, you can often visit the web site of the maker of your video card and download/install an updated driver.
If OSX, you need to look to Apple and their OS updates to get updated display drivers.

When I go to print something It tells me it's printing, but then never does. The explanation is always just the simple "error". I've used troubleshoot, re-started everything and ran the diagnostic test which told me it was a port match problem. My printer will still copy.

HP Envy X2 (32-bit) upgrade from windows 8.1 to Windows 10 has a display compatibility problem

When I attempt to install Windows 10 on my machine I get an error screen that say's: "The display manufacturer hasn't made your display compatible with Windows 10." The display manufacturer (which is my HP with Intel(R) Graphic Media Accelerator), has a display compatibility problem with Windows 10. Does anyone know what I can do? Actually it's H partition that hp drive encryption is decrypting 5 days now (without % sign). I have only my dropbox data there. I could format that partition and downlad the data from dropbox again (it would take 1 day to download 60 GB of the data again from dropbox). D partition is HP recovery partition but I don't have any problems with it yet (i made a letter mistake in first post). I also made HP recovery media on USB stick. Will hp drive encryption automaticaly update the status of H partition from 'Decrypting' to 'decyrpted', if I format the H: partition? Will drive encyrption login window (WinMagic’s Pre-boot UEFI) (before the windows login) automatically be removed, if I format the H: partition? Will FilterBootOrder (FBO) variable automatically be removed, if I format the H: partition?I imagine this is automaticaly done via decrytion of all partitions/disk in HP client security (which doesn't work correct at my computer). Maybe afterwards the H: partition is formated and HP drive encryption status updated, I can then uninstall hp drive encryption and hp client security and install win10. This is another option.

It depends. If your still within warranty and the display failure isn't your fault you just back up your phone then go to any apple retail store and they'll give you a new one for free. If it is your fault I would still back up your phone and go into the store. Then they'll charge you about £150 and will give you a new one. But you must have your phone backed up. That will be the first thing they ask you.

MBP Display Lines Problem

Hey everyone, I just bought a MBP 15' 2.2Ghz last wednesday and am now seeing a display line problem. I see a green dotted line that extends from the top of the screen to the bottom approximately 2 inches from the right of the screen. The color of the line seems to change slightly depending on whats on the screen. For instance, I had the ladybug wallpaper and the line was almost complete all the way down (stil dotted with a missing section) and the color was bright green. With a different wallpaper that had a night sky and a green figure, the line flickered green/blue in the night sky area and steady green in the green part. My question is whether this is software or hardware related. I read many many other posts and many had display line problems but not the same as this one. Should I get this repaired? Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks

Hey man, sorry to heard you have a display problem too. I have a line at the bottom of my display which extends across horizontally. Fortunately, its just a clear, bleached looking line which I can mask with the dock. I dont think I could tolerate the line in which you have described.
I would bring it to the apple store that you bought it from and have one of the apple guys check it out. I would demand a replacement. They will try to repair it. You shouldnt be repairing a defective purchase.
I am on my 2nd MBP. My first was kernal panicing all the time. I got it to KP in the store and he immediately offered a replacement. Apple care is pretty good, so dont be afraid to bring it in and demand a replacement.

IPhone iTunes match problem, songs displaying incorrectly or not displaying at all

I have an iPhone 4, and recently subscribed to iTunes Match. The list of artists/songs/albums, etc. does not show my content correctly. Some songs aren't displayed even though they have been downloaded, and the alphabetical display is making no sense.

Despite the categories being alphabetical, you can see that artists under "U" are being displayed under "W" and "X".
I also downloaded some songs via the iTunes Purchased Music feature, and they downloaded, but are not displaying. Most recent purchases are not displaying.
Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on?

Display offset problems with 1bit RenderedImage

Hi, I am loading a 1 bit image with JAI and display two versions of it. The first is unmodified and has an IndexColorModel together with MultiPixelPackedSampleModel. The second version has a lookup table applied and therefore has a ComponentColorModel with a PixelInterleavedSampleModel. When I display the complete content of both images everything is fine and they match. BUT when I start to zoom, the first one with the MultiPixelPackedSampleModel has an offset in the x direction if the left edge of the image is not within the view.
I use Graphics2D.drawRenderedImage(rimg, af). The AffineTransform translates the image in the negative x direction, so the area of interest is displayed correctly. And here it comes: If the x translate value is NOT a multiple of 8 I get the problem with the first image! Second image is always ok.
It even gets more exciting this applies only for the first tile in the x direction. Subsequent tiles are displayed correctly. The tile offset values for both images are 0 by the way. Since both images are drawn the same way and are only different by their ColorModel and SampleModel, I think this is a bug. Please tell me I am wrong!!!

And here comes another clue. The width of the image is uneven. If I use the Border operator before scaling to increase the width so that it can be divided by 8, then I have no offset problem - BUT - I have a big slowdown. Is there nobody out have having experienced the same?

Colour matching problems photoshop to windows picture viewer.

Hi, Im having trouble colour matching photoshop to windows picture/fax viewer. The colours in windows (as many people have said before) are a lot more saturated.
Im using an EIZO CG222W and Photoshop CS2, colour balanced with an Eye-One Display.
The prints returns from photographic labs match what is displayed in photoshop perfectly though obviously not in windows.
I know windows is not colour balanced but I thought there would be little difference as we are also using another EIZO monitor and a IIYAMA monitor and these have no problems switching between photoshop and windows though they are both also colour balanced with the eye-one.
This applies to ALL windows applications... all colours in Internet explorer etc are over saturated as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did think of that as the reason, although I was a bit confused as like i said, we are also using another EIZO monitor which has a perfect balance between photoshop and windows yet I've checked all the setting between the two monitors which are the same.
It's an older eizo so it may just be this new one has a wider gamut.
Thanks for your help. I'll look into sRGB restrictions on windows and see if that works.
