Display medium text in value selection screen.

Hello Experts,
i have an infoObject called Customer in an ODS.Its master data contains the short text, medium length text and long text.i want to display its medium text(which contains First name n last name) in the value selection screen (F4) while executing the web report.
It is an urgent requirement.
Please help.

What i have done is in the cube level, in the dimensions i have made specific properties and set to key/text in development, so its working fine in development of the analyzer, but still its showing text only in quality analyzer.

How to display the dynamic text in the selection screen

Hi All,
I want to display the dynamic text in the selection screen .... ( I searched in forums , didnt get the any answer fot this sort of qustion ).....
EX: If i have the date of today 31st it has to show message like " today date is 31 like some thing " when i execute the report .
Could any one face this sort of requirment, Please let me know.

Where would you like this dynamic text being displayed? As an "message" or in some parameter field?
If first

data: text type string.
at selection-screen.
   concatenate 'Today is' date into text.
   message text type 'I'.
If second
parameters pa_text type c length 50.
at selection-screen on date.
if date is not initial.
    concatenate 'Today is' date into pa_text.

Value selection screen

Hello Guyz,
In the WAD report, for a field slection when we open the value selection screen to choose the value we find key and field value, as per our requirement we need description also in the value selection screen, please let me know whet setting changes need to be done.
Example
For a field status : when we open the value selection screen we find values for selection like RELP 1000
APPR 1200 but we are not getting description, what changes need to be done to even get the decription for the status.

Is it possible to display a tag at the selection screen in the output.

Hi all,
   When you go to se38 and in the program editor screen, at the bottom right end of the screen you find a value called NUM and when you place your cursor on that it displays a tag that says "Num Lock Mode. Double click to toggle."
   My query is, when i execute a report it takes me to the output screen that has a parameter, here i want to display a tag, say "enter the record as it is in the database". Is it possible to have such an option.
   If you'll are wondering why I'm looking for such an option it is just to make a report that can be understood by many.
P.S: Not only on the NUM field the tag is available. Even on tools like activate display and so on.

If it's a report program, use a comment in the selcetion screen for information of the user as shown below.
* Information
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b1 WITH FRAME TITLE text-003.
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT /1(60) text-004. "Text containing the information message
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b1.
If you are using a module pool, you can create a tooltip for the element as suggested.

How to not display unnecessary attributes in variable selection screen?

I created a input variable referenced Calendar Year/Month(0CALMONTH) in my query. But as I select values for my variable when I execute the query, all the display attribute of 0CALMONTH displayed in the select screen, just like Calendar Year/Month Text, Calendar Year Key, Calendar month key, Number of Days Key, Number of Workdays Key...But I think just display Calendar Year/Month Text in the select screen is enough, how do I just display necessary attributes in the variable selection screen, not all the display attributes of 0CALMONTH?

Change of variable text in BEx selection screen

Hi all,
in our BW system the key users are allowed to create queries and also create variables. In some cases, especially for often used info objects like 0DATE the number of variables is increasing very quickly. The reason for this is, that 0DATE is used for a big variety of meanings e.g. delivery date, order date, invoice date etc.
So the users always create new variables only to have a meaningful description in the BEx selection screen, because they do not want only "date" to be displayed here. As result we have many different varianbles with exactly the same technical settings with only different names.
So my question is: Is it possible to change the diplayed text in the selection screen for each query without having to create a new variable?

How to Add/Concatenate to a text field, values selected in a combo box

I have a combo box form field that allows the user to select a value from a list and click on an Add button. The Add button should add/concatenate the vaue selected to a text field in order to create a list of values selected. I'm not sure how to do this using Javascript in Acrobat? I know I need to add the javascript to the Add button's Mouse Up action. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Let's say the text field's name is "Text1", and the combo is called "Combo1". You can then use this code as the MouseUp script of the Add button:

Hi,
You mean to say parameter in selection screen
Just press F1 on parameter you will get all the option available for the parameter
for defaulting text just give your text in DEFAULT option for the parametr
And for disabling this checkbox you can explore the LOOP AT SCREEN concept
In at selection screen output event you can modify the selection screen.just give one modif id for your
paramete and use this at selection screen output event , loop at screen and modify screen with the screen input = 0
for ur parameter.

Adding Standard Text to the Selection Screen obtained using PARAMETERS

Hi all,
I have a report program which has the selection screen declared by the key word PARAMETERS.
Now I need to make the changes to this program such that a Text Editor appears on the Selection Screen and has a Standard text that should be displayed.
How can I do it?
I saw the screen number of the Selection Screen and went to screen painter and tried to add the Text Editot..but it did not let me dou2026.Why?
How should I add a standard text to a selection screen? The standard text should not be on top , but some where on the screen.

I dont want to create a new screen for this. On the existing screen whihc was built using PARAMETERS key word..i should insert a blokc of text whihc is mpre than 5-6 lines..how should i do it.
I navigated to Text Elements---->Selection Texts
it is now asking for Name and Text and i see in Name column the name of the parametsr that they used for Check box, radio button etc and in Text i see the text that is appearing on the screen
Now i am not sure what is should do next
My req is..i should display a block of standard text that doesnt change and whihc is of 4-6 lines?
how should i do it?
please also help me with what data declartions that i should do in parametrs key word in program?

Text length at selection screen

SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK B1.
in above code I can write text upto 79 length only how can I increase the length when I am increasing it from 79 to 89 it is saying that max legth is 79

COMMENT /3(79) TEXT-001. when you give 3(79) it sets the position.Just try giving COMMENT TEXT-001 and check what is happening
Go to text-001 double click on that and then delete the text you had given then you should activate it and get back to the code then again double click on text and give your text.
