Display messed up

We have 3 G5 towers and an older g4 tower with a apple studio display. For some reason i had it on sleep and when we came into the office this morning the display was all out of wack. Does anyone know the problem. It's almost like it's trying to fit another monitor. I go to the displays preference and choose default and it defaults it to a different monitor. I can't seem to fix this issue. Can anyone help.

2nd, Now in the CO in the in the process form request you will code throw new OAException ("application short name","Code").
Now run and see the result.
3rd we want to use Arabic messages, use the same one you have created for saving as an example but you choose duplicate and set the language Arabic.
•     Run the page.
•     Choose preferences.
•     Current Session language = Arabic.
Now you can see the result.

Photoshop Cs4 Image display Messed up

Okay so I recently purchased cs4 to update from CS3 and I have installed it without problem. But when I open my images they appear in different shapes and most of them are barely visible due to a crosshatch pattern on them. I can't figure out what is wrong with them its not my computer because i never had a problem with CS3. Can someone help me I need this resolved ASAP.

Try turning off OpenGL. You'll find it at Edit>Preferences>Performance. Don't know if that's what's causing your problem, but if it's display related, I go there first.

N79 display messed up

So much for my little N79...
Today, the display quit working properly. It's difficult to explain what's wrong but here it goes: the display goes blank and stays blanked out for a period of time; navigating the menu may cause the image to scroll right (what should be shown on the right appears on the left); colours change with no apparent reason; phone feels unresponsive but it's the display that isn't drawing anything.
Restarted. Removed battery and restarted. Removed memory card and battery, then restarted.
Tried doing a soft reset. Then a hard reset. Then reinstall the latest firmware (v. 11.049).
Made no difference.
I'm taking it back.

Sounds like electrical connections gone mad. Should have it checked in a service centre...

Display messed up on some Websites

There are a lot of websites that the page layout is not correct with over lapping headers, menus, etc. This happens even on apples website. I can fix it by enlarging the layout by hitting apple + keys a few times but when I do this the resolution gets blurry.
Any fixes?

Try Safari maintenance..
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem. Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
Since you are running Snow Leopard, make sure Safari is opening in 32-bit mode, not 64. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) *make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.*

Messed up display

I was using my Macbook one day a couple days after I got it. I was changing some user account password settings, and when I finished, as I opened the next window, everything on my display messed up. All the colors are funky so that pictures are almost unrecognizable. it almost looks like the colors are all negative, but that's not quite right. Some colors are definitely correct. When I reboot, just as the OS finishes loading and my background image comes up, it's clear for just a moment, and then goes back to everything being messed up. I would post a picture here of what it looks like, but I don't know how to add a picture to this post.

I am also experiencing this on a MacBook. It got better with color setting of 256 colors. Did you get a resolution to this problem.

I am having the exact same problem(and no one is replying to my post either), I read in another post of someone who had a somewhat similar issue and someone commented that it was bad VRAM and warranted the logic board to be replaced. I'm hoping this is not the case, or at least hoping the problem does not get worse because I am in school and can't be without this computer for 2 weeks while it gets repaired..I'm hoping I can last til the holidays...

Sometimes I can make it go away by moving windows, and sometimes that makes it worse... this computer is only 100 days old...come on apple..help us out!

Photoshop CS4 is messing up my screen! Help!

I was working in Photoshop and all of a sudden my screen froze and was full of horizontal lines. Tried multiple restarts, finally had apple get it back to normal, only for it to happen all over again when I went back into Photoshop. I took pictures but don't know how to post them here. Has anyone seen this or know what could be going on?? Only happens in photoshop.

What model of Macintosh do you have?
What OS version are you using?
Was the display mess up outside the Photoshop windows, or just in the Photoshop document window?

My iTunes library and metadata/ID3 tags issue

Since 2010, iTunes is the only media player I use to play music. My library consists of music purchased from the iTunes Store, CD rips and stuff many artists these days release as freebies on the internet to promote a new album. Also, M4A and MP3 are the only formats I use so far.
Since iTunes, I really got into editing my library's metadata tags by hand, in order to create a custom archive which serves my preferences best. I should mention that besides iTunes being the only software I use to play my music library, it's also the only software I use to edit their metadata. Also, before iTunes – when my library was on different media players – I never bothered with editing them.
A few days ago, I found how a lot of people in forums complain about the way iTunes edits and stores metadata. So, I experimented and moved a few of my songs to other media players after editing their tags within iTunes. And indeed the tags and/or artwork were often displayed messed up and/or incorrect, some times partially and some times completely.
Some people were referring to the version of the ID3 tags being the issue, while others suggested using the "convert ID3 tags" feature. I myself am a little bit confused. "Converting the ID3 tags" wasn't available for my M4A files and once I performed it for my MP3's I didn't know which setting I should apply or what version to choose. I chose one version randomly but I'm not sure what happened.
My goal is to make my music library able to play and display my custom metadata on the majority of the popular media players. I hope that firstly this is possible and that secondly it won't be a solution which requires me going through every single song individually.
I really hope that all those years work on my library wasn't for nothing.
I'm using a MacBook running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and my iTunes version is 10.7
While my music library is more important that my iTunes version, I do like iTunes 10 more than 11.

Anything ripped with iTunes should get a single tag. If multiple tags in some of your older mp3 rips are the cause of the problems when you try to access the files elsewhere then you should apply the suggested remedy selectively, not to the whole library indiscriminately. Several is at least two, but more could be needed if a file has both v1 and v2 tags in multiple languages. If there are two tags, the first conversion to none should remove the first one, and the second conversion the second. Experiment, And stick to v2.3.

Does that mean that I will have to start from scratch and apply new cover art individually for each album? That would be too time consuming given the fact that I embed custom art.
Yes, everything but artwork is held in the iTunes database and is restored with the final Convert ID3 Tags... v2.3. Use Doug's scripts SaveAlbumArtJpeg before you start and RestoreArtworkFromAlbumFolder afterwards to save and the restore your existing artwork.
Also, what happens with my M4A files' metadata? ID3 tags are only used for MP3's, right?
Yes, m4a/aac files have a different tag mechanism. Multiple ID3 tags is just one possible issue that you might have. You said:

It might be worth going into some more detail about exactly what differences you noticed. iTunes can automatically associate (instead of embedding) artwork when it can match the album in the store which could be why some tracks didn't get artwork.

Photo Pages: TIFF Format Doesn't Work?

I just published an iWeb site with 3 photo pages in it. All of the photos were in TIFF format. I found that when the site was viewed via Safari (or IE in Windows) the photos looked horrible...pixellated...slideshows didn't work, etc.).
I then tried re-publishing the site and got the same results.
My next step was to convert all of the TIFF photos into JPEG format and republish the site again. This seemed to do the trick, as now all of the photos look good, and the slideshows now work.
If, as I'm guessing, iWeb doesn't play well with TIFF images, why are we allowed to use them...shouldn't iWeb warn against this?
Has anyone else had this problem?

I think this byte order thing is probably the same for most (all?) multi-platform raw converters. I've checked this with Bibble and ACR. If I drag a converted tiff into iWeb the displays messed up. If I then load into PS and do a "save as" you get the dialogue which lets you choose pc/mac byte order and checking the mac option fixes things. Similarly doing a "save as" out of Preview saves in mac order.
Hopefully they'll fix it in an update.

Size difference between recorded and published?

I'm launching a custom sized window using javascript for a
e-learning course that has a nav bar at the bottom (my own, not
captivate related - including next and back buttons that navigate
html pages). I'm recording my movies at 790x496. When the .swfs and
the html outputed by captivate 2 are published it is adding 24
pixels at the bottom. I'm using a captivate controller but it is at
the top. If I try and manually go change the html back to my custom
height the swf displays messed up. Anybody know how to get these 24
pixels from being reserved/displayed at the bottom by the swf's?
Just seems wierd to offer the ability to record at a custom
size but then it automatically adds 24 pixels to the height.

Hopefully I can help un-confuse you.
Okay, click Project > Skin... > Borders tab. Note that
the bottom border is the one selected. Further note the "Width"
value. These are normally configured with the bottom border enabled
so that the playback control doesn't cover any part of your
project. So DE-select the bottom border and RE-select the top. This
should allow space for your playback control and allow it to
operate as you want.
Keep in mind that this also creates an additional .SWF that
will need to be included in your output. If you want no additional
.SWF, you may DE-select the "Show borders" check box to force it
all to be stored in a single .SWF.
