Display multiple pages in Pages?

Hi there,
How can I show at least two pages in parallel on the screen? If it cannot do that, that is so funny... Just image I am using a 27" screen and editing in full screen mode with the software that only can show a "tiny thin" page in the middle.

The last version of Pages that supported facing pages displayed was Pages ’09 v4.3. This capability was dropped (and remains absent) in all versions of Pages v5.

    Question: How can I display multiple dynamic html pages that are linked to each other, within a single portal folder?

    I have a designer/web server application (PL/SQL packakges) on Oracle
    8.1.7. Early in the development process we built it into WebDB2.2 and
    used folders on the left side as a navigation bar and the contents of my packages on the right side. This was easy, WebDB used Frames.
    Unfortunatley I could never automatically display a PL/SQL item in the folder area.
    Now I need to integrate the application into Portal 3.0 not the early adopters version, the one with 9iAS (NT for now, Unix later). I have a page/content area divided into regions and a navigation portlet on the left side containing links to PL/SQL folders whose contents are displayed on the right side. On the right side I have (for example) a Queryview. When I click on any of the buttons (i.e. Find, New), I land in a new page outside of my portal folder. This page contains a dynamically built list (from one or more DB Tables) and of course the first column contains a list of links that bring you to the individual item. How do I set my links or configure my folder to display

    One alternate is, increase the size of your screen, for this go to the layout of your screen and increase it as much you want, and also the custom container size, so that no scroll bar will appear at least.
    Other solution would be, as you said ALVs will be dynamical, it will be good to create buttons, or links on the screen based on the no of ALVs dynamically and on click of corresponding button call the corresponding ALV.
    But i dont think this will serve, first check the first option.

  • Can you display multiple photos on one page with slide tool to transition between them?

    Hi Folks,
    I have a series of photos taken from the exact same location but on different days. I would like to display them on one page but use a slide tool/bar to move or transition between the photos. If the slide bar can display the date of the photo then that would be great.
    Can this be done in adobe?
    Any help would be great.

    A Steve mentioned you can use a button to display an image. If you use JavaScript, you wouldn't have to show/hide multiple buttons but could instead dynamically set the button icon programmatically. The setup for something like this is a bit involved, but it's not overly complicated. Post again if you'd like more details.
    The slide bar is the thing that would have to faked as there is no such built-in control, but something functionally equivalent could be done, it just may not behave as smoothly as you want.

  • Need help in displaying multiple attachments in a OAF Page

    Hi,
    I need to display attachemts of requisition line in a OAF Page(Notification Detials Page)and the attachments can be more than one.My custom VO returns it as a single string like url1, url2.. etc.
    I need to show them as seperate links.
    I tried using the Item Style as LINK.But it is not working.It is prefixing the server url before the View Attribute and creating a single link.
    Any help in this regard will be appreciated.Thanks in advance.

    Hi skeerthi,
    If you are using the core attachments table (FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS and the like), you can have a look on the Developer's Guide on chapter 4: Implementing Specific UI Features, section "Attachments", there is a seeded region available for displaying multiple attachments.
    If you are not, then i'd recommend refactoring :D... Just kidding, it would be nice to use the core feature, but if the table is custom, and the links are stored separated by commas, you will have to write controller code to implement that. That can be done by:
    1) Creating an Application module method that uses StringTokenizer to tokenize the attribute String (use getViewObject().getCurrentRow().getAttribute() to get the comma-separated value) and return that to the controller
    2) In the controller, receive the StringTokenizer and for each token, use the api createWebBean() to create an OALinkBean and add it to a layout region using addIndexedChild() api.
    This way you will dinamically create a Link for each attachment. If your layout region is, for example, tableLayout, you can create a rowLayout for each token, then create a Link, add the link to the row layout and finally add it to the tableLayout. By doing so, you will create a table-style attachment region.

    We have a requirement, where we have to display all the pages of PDF in ESS Portal using Abap WD.  I have got the xstring data for all PDF pages.   How can I display them now? 
    I used interactive form, but it can display just one page.  Is there any method or UI element by which multiple pages can be displayed.

    The pdf is stored in spool in parts, and are not in single pdf file.  I have managed to get the xstring values for all the pages.  Saying multiple pages, I mean there multiple individual pdf page.  We cannot scroll them, but need some kind of button to traverse to next page. 
    I wanted to know, if there is anything helpful in Webdynpro to display it.

    The END-OF-PAGE is not displayed in the last page of the classical report.
    SY-LINCT value is 30.
    Lines displayed in the report per page is 24.
    [3 for TOP-OF-PAGE and 3 for END-OF-PAGE]
    My Internal table has 6942 records.
    It comes 289 pages with 24 records in a page and 290 th page with 6 records.
    The END-OF-PAGE is not coming for the 290 th page.
    Please help.

  • Display Table on Several Pages

    I have created a form wich contains a table (for example Faglflext), this table is very big and cannot to be displayed on only one page. But  my problem is when I do a print preview when I run the form, the table is not fully displayed, only the first page.
    I tried to play with the properties of the subform pagination but I don't know which to use.
    Have you any idea?

    Try this...
    1. Placed the TextField inside a subform and set its Content to Flowed from Object palette.
    2. On the Field tab of the text field's Object property tab, check the Allow Multiple Lines checkbox
    3. Now again for the text Field, click on the Layout tab, check the Expand To Fit checkbox under Y:/Height
    Just check what is the form type and defaults in LiveCycle Designer by going to Form Properties. The preview type and preview adobe XML form needs to be Interactive and Dynamic XML form respectively.
    Hopefully that solves your issue.

  • Orphan table header at bottom of page when page breaks a table across multiple pages

    Hi all,
    I think similar questions have been asked before but I have not found an answer.
    Here's the scenario:
    I have several dynamic tables in a dynamic form.  The layout is flowed, and everything can grow and shrink as needed.  That all works.
    However, my tables have headers.  Occasionally when one of these tables is large and needs to break across multiple pages, there will be just enough room at the bottom of the previous page to show the next table header, but not enough space to show any of the related table rows.  So it ends up looking silly, with just an orphaned header at the bottom of one page, and then the table continues on the next.
    I have my tables set up so that headers get repeated on subsequent pages, by setting the header row to "repeat row for each data item" on the binding tab.  I would like to keep that functionality, but I just want to find a way to avoid these "orphaned" table headers that sometimes appear.
    I have tried the "keep with next" option.  However, although this does push the rendering of the header to the next page, it seems that according to livecycle the table still officially began on the previous page.  Therefore I get a duplicate header because of the "repeat row for each data item" option.
    I have also tried having two header rows, one that is set to only be displayed on the initial page, and the other that is set to appear only on subsequent pages (pagination tab).  This did not work - I ended up with duplicate table headers.
    Can anyone help me?

    You shouldn't have "repeat row for each data item" selected for header rows.
    You should have "include header row in initial page" and "include header row in subsequent pages" selected on the Pagination tab.
    Then using a "keep with next" might work ok.

  • Automatically displaying date of last page change

    I think I remember seeing this a year or so ago, but I can't find it.
    Is there a way to grab the date that a page was last modified and display that on the page? It seems like there should be and easy way, since the information shows up in the developer reports.
    I have the following query which works in SQL*Plus:

    but in a page definition I get an 'insufficient privileges' message.
    I'd to avoid granting select privileges on the table, as I'd then have to remember to redo it with each new version of ApEx as well. And since I can't get the above to work yet, I'm not sure if I could substitute strings like &APP_ID. and &PAGE_ID. into the where clause, so this could just be a Page 0 item instead of hard coding it onto each page.
    Any ideas what I'm missing? (Other than when I purge my logs)

    (Almost) a couple of small typos in the first select statement.
    First, somehow I wound up with two create table lines. Not sure why, but get rid of one. Next, This bit of code didn't have the other DISTINCT in it (I guess somehow I copied the older version, dunno).
    So, here's the correct version:

    Just to be sure, I retested again this morning and this one does grab (and create) the last changed record in the audit trail and stores it into whatever table name you chooes (if you edit it).
    As Vikas said in an earlier post, it best (probably) to do this on each parsing schema, since each parsing schema can have multiple apps associted with it, and it can become a can of works creating a generic schema accessible to all.
    Anyway, after the table is created and populated for each schema, then it's easy to create a page to to handle insert/update/deletes for the future maintainability of the data.
    Personally, I'm leaning towards a variation of the above code associated with a button, to update the information, maybe a drop table followed by the above code? I need to experiment some.
    But, you can create a Page 0 hidden item, I called mine :P0_LAST_CHANGE_DATE, with a SQL source of :
    select TO_CHAR (last_change_date, 'DD-MON-RRRR HH24:MI:SS') last_change_date
    from LAST_WEB_APP_CHANGE
    where app_id = &APP_ID.
    and page_num = &APP_PAGE_ID.
    Then, on each page's footer, I have the statement:

    Variations of the above can also be used to display who changed it last (the flow_user field).
    Now, each page will display the date of last change (almost) painlessly). I just need to periodically go out and maintain the table. Maybe a scheduled job run each night?
    Somebody want to supply an example of how to do that?

    Kindly check ou script & program i think somewhere new-page is written. that'why each record is printing on new page.

  • Data Merge, its is possible to display 5 records per page?

    I have no problem doing data merges.  They always seem to only show one record per page, but is there a way to be able to display more records per page?

    Read the help for a full explanation, then come back here with specific questions if you still have problems...
    Basically, you set up a single instance of field placeholders on you page, then select multiple records per page in the merge options. You cannot specify a number directly, but ID will reprduce as many records on the page as all elements will fit using the spacing settings you set up, so you might want to add an empty frame the size required to get your five instances with zero spacing and group it with the field tags.

  • Header not getting  displayed in the next page in the second table

    Dear Experts ,
    I have a query regarding Header not getting  displayed in the next page in the second table of the main window. .Let me elobrate the issue.
    I have a smartform in which there are  2 tables TABLE 1 and TABLE 2 in the smartform MAIN window. TABLE 1 is for pending PO and TABLE 2 is  for future delivery date P O separated by text in between.
    Now the header for both the tables and the data are getting displayed properly if the total output is in only one page. But If there are more entries in the TABLE 1 the Header for the TABLE 2 is not getting displayed. Header for TABLE 1 yet gets displayed properly in the next page in case of more entries.
    Only issue is that Header for TABLE 2 is not getting displayed in second page but it gets displayed if the entries are less in TABLE 1 and the total output is in one page .
    Please provide a elobrate solution on this problem as the requirement is urgent.

    you need to cteate two pages FIRST and NEXT.
    in first page --> FIRST
        next       --> NEXT
    in next page
      page---> NEXT
      next ---> NEXT.
    you copy the first page main window is the same in next page
