What is the best way to display BW roles onto the Portal.

Hi Patricio,
In the backend BW system, there are BW roles assigned for each user. When I go to the BEX browser, I see these BW roles that contains queries and workbooks. Now how do I display these BW roles onto the portal.

    You can use WebDAV or CM Repository in FSDB mode and create a KM Document iview to display the same.

    I've got installed ECC6 in my home PC with some of the netweaver components like XI, BI and etc. But after login into the Portal, I'm not finding any of the components on the portal, except the welcome screen. And ABAP is working well from the SAP logon pad.
    So can anyone explain that, how to import the netweaver components onto the portal. Pl. give me the step-by-step explanation as i'm very new to this aspect.

             My name is Ajay Sutar. I am newly learning MVC 4, as we are about to initiate a new project in ASP .NET MVC 4. I am using a details scaffolding to display a  single
    record. but now my single employee have multiple roles. As example,

    as i have used Details scaffold and FirstOrDefault method of linq for this view, I am unable to display the second role "Tester" in the  output. only first role is geeting displayed.
    What i want is :

    Hi everyone, I'm trying to do something with table maintenance but I cannot achive it yet. Therefore, I'm asking it to you.
    In my program, I'm displaying table maintenance screens by using FM "VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL". It works fine.
    However, what I wanna do is that displaying table maintenance screens in different container.
    The first thing comes to my mind is the structure of SE80. When I double click on an item on the left side I want do display table maintenance screen on the right side.

  • Displaying error page when not entitled to use the portal

    We are using BEA Portal 8.1 and would like to display an error page to a user
    who is authenticated but not entitled to view any of the portal resources. Does
    anyone know how to do this?
    Here are more details:
    Users are authenticated by Netegrity Siteminder when they logon to the LAN. An
    authenticated user may or may not be entitled to use the portal site depending
    on attributes passed in the header by netegrity. These attributes values are stored
    as user profile properties. Visitor entitlements have been created based on these
    properties and pages/portlets are then entitled through these visitor entitlement
    roles.
    If a user is not a member of any roles, then they should be redirected to a page
    indicating that they do not have permission to access the portal. Howe can this
    be implemented?

    Thanks for your quick response. I followed your suggestion and verified my Adobe ID on acrobat.com.
    Now I can enter the collaborate function. However, everytime when I tried to send it to myself (for test purpose) I got another error message "You need to enter a valid emaill address". I saw someone else on this forum has met the same problem. Do you have any suggestion on what is the possible reason for this to happen?

    I have created some Bex queries and I want to publish them on the portal and give access to users.
    Is it mandatory to put the queries in a web template before publishing ???
    Can I publish without creating a web template ???
    In case of web templates, how to publish them as url on the portal ???

    You need not to create web template to publish query in portal.
    there are two ways for publishing
    1)Go to query designer Click on Query -> Publish-> To portal
    here you select the path where you want to create the iview
    2)Log in to portal setect the folder in which you want to publish report.
    right click -> create new iview -> select BI 7.0 iview -> next -> iview name ie report name -> next -> Application parameter -> here you need to write QUERY =Query technical name -> next -> finish

  • Display of roles missing in BEx dialog box

    Hi Experts!
    I am facing an issue with BEx:
    We just upgraded to Support Package 18 and afterwards all roles in the BEx dialog boxes are missing. Before upgrading everything was fine.
    If we assign SAP_ALL to local users, they are able to see roles, but if we don't, they don't even see their assigned roles.
    I searched the OSS and SDN but couldn't find an answer to that problem.
    Any suggenstions?

    Recheck the same at PFCG / SUIM for the Authorization may be  they must be recheck/save/reactiavte with SAP_NEW - All new authorization objects added during an upgradation??

  • Can multiple roles be assigned to users of the same PC?

    Hi,
    I'm using Contribute 3, and am set up as the administrator of a web site.
    I've created a new role for other users, and want to test the new role and its related permissions.
    But when I open the connection key attachment on my PC, it automatically picks up the administrator role when Contribute opens.
    Does anybody know whether it's possible to have multiple Contribute roles in use for the same web site, on the same PC, preferably password protected?

    I've provided Contribute users with the facility to create new pages
    based on a standard Dreamweaver template.
    In the future, if the template changes, I'll download the user-created
    pages from the server, but is it possible to automatically reflect
    template changes in these pages - as with the automatic update
    indicator available when creating template-based pages in Dreamweaver.

    Press the button at the top right and the home button together for 30 seconds, when you see the apple logo, let  them go.
    if you see a picture of the itunes symbol and a whitye usb chord then connect the device to a computer and perform a restore. 

  • Issue when I copy a role of ESS and MSS in the portal

    Dear Experts-
    I have the following issue.
    We have copied the role of ESS for the users. However we are implementing ESS for several Country and for this we copied the role of ESS Standard. However when we do this whe system created this role for the user already created ie.
    We have employee for a country A. For this country A we created the Role of ESS_A. And Assign this role for the employee Juan. Now for the country B we created a role with the copy of the role standard of ESS, however the new role ESS_B is displayed in the roles assign to the employee Juan.
    Anyone can help me with suggestions for this issue, please.

    Hi Mayank. I understant the use of the property"Invisible in Navigation Areas".
    We have employees for  country A,  country B,  country C,  country D. Each  country should display some Page of areas and other not.
    With the suggestions of BALA of use the FM HRXSS_SER_GETMENUDATA, I hid the page of area for the Country B, Country C , and with the proxy dynamic class i hid service for some Page of Areas that should be show for a country and not for others.
    My doubt is: How Can do the same for the Workset, ie. Worsket dynamic that depending of the country the system hide or show a worset of the same form that I can do with the Page of Area.
    For example.
    With the imagen following:

    For the Country A, C This Page of Area Should be displayed and for the Country B, D the Page of area Horario de Trabajo not should be displayed. With the use of the  FM HRXSS_SER_GETMENUDATA, I hid the page of area for the country B, D. But the Workset Horario de Trabajo not can hide. If I use an only Role and use the property "Invisible in Navigation Areas" the system hide Workset Horario de Trabajo for all the employee of the Country A, C. And this not is the requirement of the company.

    Should I create a JSP Dynpage ?

  • Cannot log onto the Portal on any servers!

    I have been attempting to set up a demo of our portal PRD environment which contains one central instance and two dialog instances. I installed the the Cental instance first and then the the dialog instances one at a time. All seemed ok all of the services are started (Green in SAPMMC), however I cannot log into the portal on ANY of the servers.
    On both of the application servers I get the following message 'You have requested an application that is currently stopped' and on the central instance I get this message 'Application error occurs during processing the request.'

    M using cross tab to display data and chart to plot line. Following fields I used in Cross tab Expert & Chart expert
    Cross tab expert-
    Rows u2013 category
    Columns u2013 year
    Summarized fields u2013 Min of table_value
    In Chart Expert u2013
    On Change of - Year
    Show values - graph values
    In cross tab m able to see the data properly but not in graph.I have three categories. Hence it should plot three lines in line chart but m able to see only one line for test category.
    FYI u2013 using VS 2008 and crystal report assembly version 10.5
