Display name of the view in BEX Analyzer

Dear All,
If you run a view, the name of the underlying query is always shown in the report. Is there a way to show the name of the view instead IN bex aNALYZER?
Please reply ASAP.

I am using a Query View as Dataprovider in a Web Template.
Now I would like to display the name of the View.
But with a Text Element this isn't possible.
You can only display the name of the Query.
Is there a way to display the name of the used Query-View?

thank you for your hints.
We use a template to enable users to create Views.
So its dynamic.
That way we don't know the Name of the Views in advance.
(So putting the text into 'Title' is not possible)
We already use the "Query View Selection". This works out for users that are able to see different Views. (Power User)
But is it also possible to display the Query View Name in an Item or with html methods for those templates where there is only one View (as dataprovider) we don't know in advance?

Error while executing view in Bex Analyzer

Hi Gurus,
When i am executing the view(0PY_MC02_Q0102_V02) in analyzer i am getting the error :
Error Group
RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
Message
Exception condition "NO_VALUE_FOR_SID" raised.
I checked all the master data info objects and loaded the master data still i am getting the error.But when i saved the query with same view name it is executing. This error is only for some standard views but not all the standard views.can any one please help me in this issue.

If any underlying query of a view is changed it thinks that something has changed and throws you an error.
The solution for this is to open the view and save it again.
This solves the warning message problem which is not the same as yours. But try this out this might help.

How to change the Group Display Name in the UME?

Hello experts,
from time to time due to reorganisation our departments group names change.
So far this was a big deal because it is not possible to change the Display Name of a group created in the Portal´s UME?
So far a new group with the department name has to be created and all group members have to be connected to the new group again. This is not a convenient way..
Is there a way to configure the UME to allow to modify the Display Names of Groups?

Thank you for the quick answer.
However my problem is still not solved.
I am using the portal groups also as permission objects for KM. That´s why I do not want to create a new group because the new one will not appear in the ACLs of the KM Objects.
For me it is important to modify the Display Name of an existing Group. The GroupID shall not change. The new Display Name should be updated then automatically in the ACLs of KM Objects in question.
By exporting the group data:
[group]
gid=TeamA
gdesc=All members of Team A
user=member1, member2
There is no parameter for changing the Display Name of the group. There is only the Description Parameter.
So far I didn´t find any solution.
Any other ideas.

Dynamic display name of the sender

I have requirement like below:
After creating and executing any Agent/iBOt in OBIEE 11g, the Display Name of the Sender in the From address of email delivered to recipients is showing as "Administrator".
The user who is authenticated and authorized into the OBIEE also created an agent, he is asking that email should show his name in the From Address when it is delivered to the recipients.
I know why this is happening, I have provided the Display Name of Sender as "Administrator" while configuring the Agents at the Enterprise Manager Level.
What I am currently looking is, if there is any alternate solution to Dynamically display the name of the user who creates the Agent in the From address of the email when it is delivered to the recipients.

Is it possibe to display Role Name and Role Display Name on the "Select Roles" page during ROle Request for Others? In the "Roles Available" I can only see "Role Display Name". I was trying to look at "AssignRolesDataSet.xml" but was unable set what I need (for exmaple lookup-query...). How to achieve desired funcionality?

How to get the display name of the dropdownlist?

How can i get the display name of the dropdownlist.
I want to have value as other data not the same as display name.
In that case is there any easy way to get the display name of the selection from the dropdownlist.

I usually just use a hashmap to store the value and label, if I want to retrieve the label again later.

It is not possible to change the name of the server, but you can add a label to it (see attached screenshot). And yes, it can be done during production hours, this doesn't affect the production data.

Caller ID string received with extra characters
Symptoms: A caller ID may be received with extra characters.
Conditions: This symptom is observed when caller ID is enabled on both
routers and when the station ID and station name are configured on the FXS
side.
Workaround: There is no workaround.
The reference of FXS ports makes be believe that CSCsj18014 is not the applicable bug. However, in the same results page, we see another bug matching better a problem of garbage w/o FXS ports:

Now, the bug toolkit does not give the number for this "related bug" and I was not able to localize it.

You can use Ranges for this purpose:
RANGES: r_name FOR type_name.
r_name-sign = 'I'.
r_name-option = 'CP'.
r_name-low = 'a*'.
INSERT r_name.
SELECT name FROM table_name INTO TABLE it_name WHERE name IN r_name.

Change display name of the server under Equipment

is it possible to change the display name of the LIVE / PRODUCTION blade under equipment --> Chasis -->Servers to our own naming standards.

Generating VO XML File wih alias names for the view attributes

I am using the WriteXML() method on a VO to generate the XML. I need to map the generated xml to a rtf template and get the PDF generated. I have some view attributes for those I want to give a meaningful alias names, and for the repeated columns say "Name" for each Name field that I select from different tables it gets reflected as Name, Name1 and so . I want to give them proper alias names like Name as Buyer_Name and Name1 as Supplier_name so that its easy to comprehend and also easier to map to the rtf template. I gave alias names to those columns But the alias names of the view attributes are not getting reflected in the XML file generated. The XML tags are still on the attribute Name and not the aliases. Can someone suggest a workaround for this

Just to confirm that this is not a Library or deployment setup problem, Now, I changed the deployment scope to include business components in the ViewController to just to be sure it was being picked up in the ViewController too. I Created a separate AppModule in the ViewController and Added the VO to it, It Ran Properly including the Addition and Commit Control.

Problem with the display sequence of free characteristics in Bex Analyzer

I want to display free characteristics in particular sequence in Bex Analyzer.
I have arranged free characteristics in particular sequence in bex designer but while executing the report from analyzer
free characteristics are not getting displayed in the sequence in which i wanted to display it in query output.
Could you please let me know what setting needs to be done in order to display free characteristics in required sequence in bex analyzer.

Please observe that the sequence of Characteristics in BEx Analyzer is Alphabetic (in ascending order), I faced a similar situation once and I solved it by adding a prefix to the Characteristic Name at the query level, for example.
Customer
Distribution Channel
Division
Month
Sales Organization
Year
Could be sorted this way.
A01. Year
A02. Month
B01. Sales Organization
B02. Distribution Channel
B03. Division
C01. Customer
