Display picture wont update or change Q5

I'm currently using bbm on my Q5 and for some reason my display picture won't change.
And another thing I have bbm on my phone but when I go to app world and view the bbm app it says' this application isn't available for ur device" how is that possible when I have it already. My main issue is that my pictures won't change. Please help!! Thanks

Try resetting your BlackBerry
And check that your profile image change
If the problem evidences the persistence applies a hard reset
Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
With respect to BBM shows you not available in BlackBerry World
This is because if you look the BBM you can not delete because it is integrated into the operating system.
Finally I recommend you delete the cache of BlackBerry World.

Bbm picture wont update- HELP !

okay so heres the problem, my bbm display picture will not update, it only updates on my profile but not to the rest of my contacts.
my friends cannot see this update of the picture, they see the picture i had a while ago before this happend.
i am just wondering how i can fix this? i want to change my display picture on blackberry messenger that way my contacts can see it.

Just be patient and let it be, I've seen it take a few days for some user's BBM contact avatar sync across the network. There's nothing you can do to speed it up.

Yahoo won't save display picture or save any changes

I have yet to find a fix for this. I downloaded the new Yahoo from BB Appworld yesterday and can't change my display image or save any changes to my name. It's actually just the gray face that shows. If this is a known issue, I apologize.

I've been trying 2 change my bbm dp 4 a couple of days & it won't change! I've turned the phone off, took the battery out & left it 4 a while b4 putting it back on & still no change. What do I do?!

Leave it alone and forget it.
It will eventually sync to your contacts.

Ical calendar corrupt? Wont update new changes, keeps reverting to older versions

Our office shares about 8 calendars, one of these calendars is not working. When we add or make changes to existing calendar items in this particular calendar it appears to update (verified by checking multiple devices and peoples mac's which all show the changes). Then at some random time it will revert to the old version. Sometimes a day later sometimes a couple of days later. Any ideas?

OK here .. i guess it is a new problem with the new BBM ..
whenever i change my display picture, it doesn't change with my contacts..
i have added myself to test the problem, and it didn't change even though it changes on my BBM header..

Display picture in messages totally pixelated when seeing it with yahoo messenger for windows

Hello,
I'm using messages to chat with my yahoo messenger account at work and yahoo messenger for windows at home.
When I log into Yahoo with messages, my yahoo display picture is updated automatically with the one I have choose in messages.
My problem is that this picture is totally pixelated when you see it on yahoo messenger for windows. It seems that Messages is changing its size.
As the size in Yahoo messenger for windows is bigger it appears pixelated!
If I choose no display picture in messages, the one I have choose with yahoo messenger for windows disappear when I'm logging with it.
Is there a way that messages do not update the display picture each time I'm logging to Yahoo?
I suppose that there is no solution to this problem but I wanted to be sure.

Thanks for the Path.
This does seem to show all the Recents from the Contacts App > My Card, the Login Pic and the Messages Buddy List pic.
I think in Mountain Lion these were either separate items or the .plist that is in the current place listed the app/location the pic was used.
I have looked at the pictures in the folder (.png and thumbnail .tiffs) and the .plist and it does seem to be all the pics I have used in all three places over the last few months.
The Yahoo account is logged in not through IMAgent that FaceTime and Messages use for other Accounts but from the IMServicePluginAgent.
In Mountain Lion this used to list a Buddy Pic server as well as a straightforward login.
Using Little Snitch I am not seeing that in Mavericks.
Seems you may have to change your Pic on a web page for your Yahoo account.

My Display Picture is stucked!

Please Admin, am really feeling bad because am not enjoying my BlackBerry Q5. My Display picture has refused to change for a week now. I called my service provider and they certified there is nothing wrong with my network connection that it could be from RIM... please help me rectify this... am not happy about it.

I believe you are referring to your BBM display picture, right?
Try this workaround. Add yourself on BBM (add your own pin). Then do a hard reset (while the phone is on remove the battery and sim, put it back after 1-3 minutes)

iPhoto is Apple's included program to manage your photo's and pictures.
It receives updates over time with Software updates and new machine or iLife purchases.
When iPhoto gets updated or a newer version is used, it may alter iPhoto support files, but newer iPhoto versions usually always compatible with older files which it then updates.
If you used a newer iPhoto on your iPhoto support files, then they got altered to the newer format, older iPhoto versions can't read the older format.
Somewhere along the line you somehow got a older version of iPhoto on your computer, you need to fine the newer version of iPhoto (not this photo manager, sounds like another program)
Or somewhere along the line you used a newer iPhoto version (like on another Mac) and it altered the iPhoto support files on your older version of iPhoto.
So the key here is to find the newest version of iPhoto and use that to access your iPhoto support files.
If you didn't access your iPhoto support files from another Mac, then you should have the newer iPhoto version on your computer.
Once you find it, and get it in the Dock, you should remove the older iPhoto version from your computer to prevent this from happening again.
Lastly, if the newer version of iPhoto is somehow gone off your computer, you should be able to get a copy off the latest OS X install disk or iLife using a free program called Pacifist.

BBM display picture does not update mine nor contacts

Please assist. I have a BB 8520. I am running version 5.0.0.57. I am having a major issue. My bbm contact display pictures are not changing, nor are my contacts. I deleted my wife to re invite her, when request was accepted, I ended up with a blue man. I have reinstalled bbm and I have rebooted. I added myself to my contacts and I appear as a blue man when I actually have up a picture. I have been checking my concerns over the net and quite a few people are having the same issue. Can any one please assist.

How many BlackBerry Messenger contacts are currently on your BlackBerry? If over 100, I would suggest lower to less than 90 and see if the avatars update.

Bbm doesnt update display picture

Its been a month now, and i cannot update my bbm dp in my z10.
The display picture changes in my mobile but my friends cannot see any update. and now its stuck.
The status update is ok. i can change, my friends can see it.
i tried everything remove battery, restart, bla bla. But no difference.
Is there a way to reinstall bbm in z10?

This has been an issue I've seen from others in the India and Pacific area. I'm betting there is some server issues.

9300's BBM PIN usage and unauthorised Display Picture change.

Good Day.
On Sunday evening, 2 June, I noticed that my BBM Display Picture and Display name had been changed to a picture of a Ferrari and to /Moola!/.
As soon as I noticed I changed my display picture and my display name again, the change of name reflected on some of my contacts view of my profile, but the display picture remained on my profile, even after a second attempt on my side to change the Display Picture.
What could the concern could be, and what steps can be take to rectify this.
I purchased my Blackberry 9300 new, out of the box.
If you could provide me with a customer care number to phone would also, would be appreciated.
I thank you in advance for your urgent assistance in this regard.

Contact your Vodacom technical support and ask/demand that this issue be escalated up to BlackBerry technical support.
The only way for this to happen would be for two uses to have identical device PINs on the network, which in the past has been impossible and the network would only allow one of each at a time. PINs are hard coded to devices at the factory.
I don't know how it could have happened, perhaps tech support can sort it out for you.

Q10 bbm display picture frozen/not changing

Please whats the way forward with the Q10 bbm dp not changing that several users are experiencing? Technical kindly give us an update as several complaints have already been lodged on this forum.

I have had my Q10 for about 3 months and its been a rocky experience. After about 20-30 call log entries, it begins to mix my contacts. Now I have not been able to change my BBM display picture for over a week. And yet I find there are several threads on the Forum about users having this problem but no solution. Is BB Technical listening?

My contacts can seem to view my display picture when I change it. They can view a picture I up loaded two weeks ago. How do I fix this. :-(

Sometimes it can just take a few days for an avatar to update for other friends of yours.
Tell them to try this:
Open BBM by tapping the BBM icon on the homescreen
Navigate to contact showing up as a PIN, either via the BBM Group members list or your BBM Contacts list, and tap their name as if to open a chat conversation with them
Tap the top bar of the chat window
You should then see a refresh (looks like a circular icon) icon next to the BBM Video icon on the top right, tap that and the contact's name should appear and it may refresh the avatar.

BBM display picture can't change :'(

Hallo I need a help :'(
I own of bb 9700 . My bbm have a problem . It can't changing display picture .
I mean I can change it but there no notif in my recent updates and my friends can't see of my display picture changing .
I had waited for 1 week . But it can't changing too and I already do anything like reboot and etc but nothing I get .

Try uninstalling and reinstalling BlackBerry Messenger
from www.blackberry.com/messenger in your BlackBerry Browser.
Also if you have Facebook installed remove it then reboot.
Reinstall BBM from www.blackberry.com/messenger and test again.
