Display predefined metadata in search hitlist

Hi,
I have configured search optionset with allowed predefined properties and I am able to filter my search based on predefined properties.My question is how can I display the predefined properties in the search results?.
For example if I have a document xyz.doc matching predeifned property color='blue', in the search results, i am getting the xyz.doc but i want the metadata for the xyz.doc to be displayed as well.
Thanks,
Vasu.

Hi
You can create a new layout set with the predefined property "color" and use the layout to display the search results.

  • Exif metadata not displayed in Metadata panel & searching

    Is there a way to customize the exif and/or IPTC data shown in the Metadata panel in LR 5?
    And is there a way to search and/or filter on metadata not in that panel?
    I needed to find some photos that have the exif category "art filter" and I cannot search for the value in that field in LR, nor does that field show up in the metadata panel. I can see it with J. Friedl's metadata plugin, or in GraphicConverter, so I know it's there. I tried searching on the text, but LR doesn't find it. What I'd really love is the feature where you have the little arrow by the metadata value in the panel and click it to filter by that criteria.
    Is there a way to get LR to recognize and display other exif or IPTC data?

    I'm not sure which metadata field you want to search -- is it the IPTC field "Category"?  That field is displayed in Metadata > IPTC panel in the right column:
    Unfortunately, that field is not searchable using LR's text search filter or smart collections.
    In general, to view and search metadata fields not fully handled by LR, you've got to use a third-party plugin:
    - Metadata Extensions makes additional fields that LR knows about searchable using the filter bar and smart collections.
    - ExifMeta makes nearly all metadata fields viewable and searchable in LR.
    - Data Explorer lets you more quickly view, search, and browse more of the fields that LR knows about.
    - Any Filter lets you search any field LR knows about, writing boolean search queries similar to smart collections.
    These plugins have different capabilities and are optimized for different use cases.

  • Predefine values for search-help of GL-Account

    Hello,
    we're using SRM on an ERP-backend. Within the shopping-site you can define the GL-Account (SAKTO) which also has a search help. In ERP i predefined the values used in the search-help (KTOPL, PLANT etc) by using a search-help exit. Now i need todo the same in SRM but i cant find the right place todo that.
    I dont even find a search-help that might be used for that. Does this work differently in SRM ? Does that all goes over the backend ?
    Could someone lease help me by telling how can i set these values for the search-parameters of the search-help and maybe also whats the name of the search-help of GL-Account in SRM ?
    Thanks alot...any help will get rewarded.

    Hi Oliver,
    Check the Search Help BADIs below:
    a. You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY to influence the display of input and search helps and to control the favorites for display fields. The processing is only available for data elements for which input helps exist on HTML templates. In this way, you can define field values for an input help and define the number of field values too.
    b. You can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) BBP_F4_READ_ON_EXIT to restrict (or augment) the list of values and favorites that are output in the input and search helps. You can only process data elements for which input helps exist on HTML templates. The following three BAdIs are also available:
    Navigate through SRM Server> Technical Basic Settings> Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)> Interface Configuration> Input Helps and Search Helps...
    Cheers.

  • Metadata Repository search doesn't work NW 2004

    Hi all,
    After system patching Metadata Repository search stoped working, when I start search short dump occurs
    "Function parameter "PTEXT" is unknown.
    Error in ABAP application program.
    The current ABAP program "CL_RSO_REPOSITORY=============CP" had to be
    terminated because one of the statements could not be executed.
    This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    Function module "SUSR_INTERFACE_PROF" was called
    with the parameter "PTEXT".
    This parameter is not defined."
    I tried to find SAP-notes, but was able to find about NW 2004s
    NW 2004, Basis 6-40, BW 3.5, SP BW21, SP Basis21
    Any help will be appreciated
    Thanks in advance,
    Elena

    Hi Susanne,
    unfortunately NO repository is indexed by default so therefore you can not find Room Content before you create an index with the relevant information.
    You must create yourself a new index of the repository where  Room Content is stored. In EP6 SP2 Patch 5 and higher as well as NW'04 this should be /room_extensions. So add this repository as the Data Source of the index.
    After indexing you should be able to perform search of the room content.
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • Examples of web photo galleries that display xmp metadata

    Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows of an online image gallery that displays xmp metadata for the images displayed?
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Something you may want to consider is DBGallery (http://grrsystems.com/DBGallery). This product stores iptc/xmp data in a MySql database as well as in the image file (using Adobe's XMP Toolkit). Websites can access this data using any number of ways: PHP (google 'accessing mysql with php'), MS Access, and many others. Unfortunately right now there isn't an extremely easy means to access it directly from html like in the sample above: "< div class="content">DESCRIPTION: %FILEINFO% "; although finding someone to put together a little PHP to get close to this easy wouldn't be difficult (elance.com, etc).
    DBGallery itself allows that data to be extracted and placed in emails and pdf's (see a sample at http://grrsystems.com/DBGallery/DBGallery_Sample.pdf). It also generates websites with Title and Description, but the websites are fairly basic I'm afraid (see
    http://www.grrphotography.com/Collections/WorldPlaces/index.htm)
    Dropping any images with iptc/xmp data into DBGallery gets their data into the database because the metadata is automatically read and added to the database.
    If there are questions about this option reply here or email me at [email protected]

  • Bridge CS6 not displaying complete metadata

    I have CS5 and am playing around with CS6.  So far so good, impressed overall.
    I like to have Bridge set up to display the Metadata for each image, and when I view the metadata, it is not as complete as what I see in the CS5 version of Bridge.
    Specifically, I like to be able to see the Subject Distance, which is recorded for the camera/lens combination I'm using.  In Bridge CS5, the Subject Distance displays just fine, but it is completely absent in CS6.  I have confirmed this to be the case with my Canon 1D Mark IV, and my wife's Canon 7D.
    Also, I like to see the ISO as well.  In Bridge CS5, it shows nicely as "ISO Speed Ratings" while in Bridge CS6, it shows as "(ISO) Photographic Sensitivity" - kind of excessive.  If I only check the "ISO Speed" - nothing shows up.
    To verify this, I made sure *all* metadata options in the Preferences menu were selected to display, but despite this, the Subject Distance is not being displayed (and the ISO labeling is a bit wordy for my taste).
    Also, I posted this in the PS General Forum, and received a reply from one user that for some of his old NEF files, Bridge in CS5 and CS6 displayed the subject distance properly, while for some newer NEF files, it showed in CS5, but not CS6.
    I assume this is a bug, where Bridge is having trouble reading the metadata fields for different raw files, but I welcome any advice on how to get it to display Subject Distance, which is contained in the metadata.  And hopefully pointing out this bug will lead to its getting fixed sometime down the road.
    Thanks.

    Curt,
    I posted here, since it's a Bridge Function, not really Camera Raw.  Bridge is where the metadata is being displayed, where the Preferences identify the particular metadata fields, etc.
    And while I understand the need to do my share of sleuthing in tracking down a problem, to better define it, I think the cause here will be sporadic, rather than systemic.  As you saw with your own files, some old NEF files displayed fine, newer ones didn't.
    Some cameras store Subject Distance in the MakerNote fields, others don't.  Some lenses provide the data for Subject Distance in cameras that do record this information, while others don't.  So there is a myriad of factors involved here, and any additional sleuthing would just identify particular instances where Adobe's routines aren't correctly identifying and reading the MakerNote data.
    I've identified 2 current cameras, which clearly demonstrate the problem.  Adobe can examine their routines for these cameras and fix them.  And if/when others come forward having discovered their cameras also show this problem, those can be corrected as well.
    As I said, I think this is more likely to represent particular quirks in their routines as they're implemented for specific camera models, rather than a systemic, universal problem.
    I spent a few hours looking for another program that will find that information, and was amazed to see how difficult it is.  Even Canon's own Digital Photo Professional does not provide Subject Distance, which shocked me.  I tried PIE, Opanda, iEXIF, Irfan, Faststone, and a few others - none of them correctly found/displayed Subject Distance.
    The only one I found was ExifTool, using the mod with the GUI.  This displays it in the "MakerNotes" fields, and interestingly shows 2 data points: FocusDistanceUpper and FocusDistanceLower, both in meters.  The single datum displayed by CS5 Bridge is inbetween these 2 values - not quite the mean, but close.  And as documented above, CS6 Bridge displays none of these.

  • How to Display Record Count on Search page?

    Hi
    I am new to OAF and one of the requirement is to display record count on Search page . I followed the same steps in Emp Search page as an example and created my search page.
    I followed the following steps
    1) I created a transietn Attribute in VO by name RecordCount
    2) I had written a method in AMImpl
    public void getRecordCount() {
    OAViewObject vo = getXXG2SourceAcctSearchVO1();
    int fetchedRowCount = vo.getFetchedRowCount();
    String msg = fetchedRowCount + " are retrived by query ";
    System.out.println(msg);
    String xfetchedRowCount = Integer.toString(fetchedRowCount);
    System.out.println("xfetchedRowCount : " + xfetchedRowCount);
    OARow reportRow = (OARow)vo.createRow();
    System.out.println("in set attribute");
    reportRow.setAttribute("RecordCount",xfetchedRowCount); // I am using this way and trying to display record count into RecordCount view Attribute
    }//getRecordCount
    3) on the SearchPG, I created a new messageStyledtext by name RecordCount and assinged VO and viewAttribute accordingly
    I am not able to see record count when i run the page ?
    Am i missing any steps ?
    I see the messages in the log file but not in Record count box ?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Anoop
    i made the code change according to you and because of the following condition, it is createing a" new row" in the search page
    Row row = vo.createRow();
    vo.insertRow(row);
    For every search it is creating a new blank row in search page .
    I did some more research and modified my code as
    public void getRecordCount() {
    OAViewObject vo = getXXG2SourceAcctSearchVO1();
    int fetchedRowCount = 0;
    fetchedRowCount = vo.getFetchedRowCount();
    String msg = fetchedRowCount + " are retrived by query ";
    System.out.println(msg);
    //vo.setMaxFetchSize(0);
    //vo.executeQuery();
    if (fetchedRowCount == 0 )
    Row row = vo.createRow();
    //row = (OARow)vo.first();
    row.setAttribute("RecordCount", "0");
    else
    String xfetchedRowCount = Integer.toString(fetchedRowCount);
    System.out.println("xfetchedRowCount : " + xfetchedRowCount);
    Row row = vo.createRow();
    //vo.insertRow(row);
    row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
    // Set the primary key value for this single-row VO.
    row = (OARow)vo.first();
    row.setAttribute("RecordCount", xfetchedRowCount);
    and in AM , I am calling this method in PFR as follows
    public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    OAApplicationModule am1 =
    (OAApplicationModule)pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
    am1.invokeMethod("getRecordCount");
    now i see the record count on the search page . but after 2-3 searches, the record count value is not populating the correct value. its weird
    Any suggestions
    Thanks

  • Ideas about viewing/displaying XMP metadata from Reader ?

    Hi,
    We are using Acrobat 9 to add XMP metadata to PDF documents.
    These documents are viewed by the others employees with Acrobat Reader.
    Since "File->Properties->Advanced Metadata" and "Custom Info Panels" are not available in Reader, how can we display XMP metadata ?
    Do you know some ways or plug-ins to do this ?
    Our custom XMP metadata schema have more than 20 fields, so I don't want to put all these informations in the "Keywords" field of the document properties.
    Any idea would be greatly appreciated !
    Thank you !

    Michael... what you are describing above is not accurate.  The iPod Classic does NOT have the capability of using the "Album Artist" field from iTunes to sort music.  This particular metadata field is not even available to the iPod Classic.  Only the "Artist" field is available.  (It is the other way around with the iPod Touch, iPhone, and Ipad -- for these iOS devices, the "Album Artist" field is the one that is available, and not the "Artist" field.)  There are numerous posts here in the discussion forums from other folks who are frustrated by the same issue.  The iPod Classic can only sort and group songs together by "Artist" -- that is, the track artist.  And the track artist is often quite different from the album artist.  For example...  I have 29 different Barbra Streisand albums in iTunes.  For all of them, the album artist is "Barbra Streisand."  There are several different track artists however.  Most of them are just Barbra Streisand.  But she also does a duet or two on several albums.  So there are track artists like...  "Barbra Streisand with Kim Carnes," and "Barbra Streisand with Barry Gibb," and many more like that.  After syncing to my iPod Classic, when I sort on the iPod's "Artist" field, I get about 25 different iterations of "Barbra Streisand and .... " as the artist.  Yes, "Barbra Streisand" does appear among them.  But the only songs that are listed under "Barbra Streisand" are those that she sang by herself, and where she is the only track artist.  Given the setup of the iPod Classic as it is now, using firmware version 2.0.4, it is NOT possible to use the Album Artist field to sort and group songs together.

  • Displaying more metadata with Image?

    would anyone mind pointing me to the controls that set what i see under an image when i am not in list view? i would like to see items such as file size, pixel size and camera while looking at reasonably large image sizes (can't really do this in list view) and while I have read the manual and have access to online help some of these are a little tricky to find.
    TIA

    There are two kinds of panes used to show your Images.  They are
    - Browser
    - Viewer
    The Browser displays the Image(s) in the currently selected container(s).
    The Viewer shows the selected Image(s) in the currently selected container(s).
    There are Four main Views in Aperture.  They are
    - Browser View
    - Viewer View
    - Split View
    - Projects View
    Split View shows you two panes: one Browser pane and one Viewer pane.
    Projects View is specialized for showing you your Projects and is not used to view your Images (though you can skim Projects and see the Images in each one).
    The Images displayed in each viewing pane (Browser or Viewer) can be displayed with metadata.  (Metadata can also be displayed on the Metadata tab of the Inspector.)  For each pane you can show or not show metadata.  You can also switch between two customizable sets of metadata.  Metadata displayed in this way is called a Metadata Overlay.  The customizable sets are called "Basic" and "Expanded".
    The Browser pane has some additional functionality that is not available in the Viewer pane.  You can sort, and you can filter, the Images displayed in the Browser at any time.  You can also view the Images displayed in the Browser pane in either Grid View or in List View.  Browser Grid View and Browser List View have their own Metadata Overlays.
    Thus far we've covered six of the seven Metadata Overlays.  They are
    - Viewer:  Basic and Expanded
    - Browser Grid View:  Basic and Expanded
    - Browser List View:  Basic and Expanded
    There is one additional Metadata Overlay:  the Tooltip Metadata Overlay.  All of these are covered -- with full instructions on use -- on the Metadata pages in the User Manual.
    All of this is covered in the first seven chapters of the User Manual -- a must read for anyone new to Aperture.  Additionally, many find setting up a test Library and experimenting with these settings is very helpful in quickly getting up to speed with Aperture.

  • Displaying property metadata in KM folder/docs presentation?

    I have created my own property metadata to categorize documents in certain folders in KM.
    I would like to display these metadata values in columns in the layout set chosen for the folder. Is there a simple way to fix this or do I have to write my own custom renderer?
    Henning

    Hi Henning,
    Yes, there is an easy way to display your own property metadata. You need to make a copy of the layout set you are using now and go edit the collection renderer.
    In the collection renderer, you should enter the name of your property in the setting "displayed properties". Beware that you might need to include the property's namespace.
    I suggest you read this document:

    Even though it is a fairly old document (2003), it gives you a good introduction to your flexible user interface options.

  • Custom Display template for Content Search webpart

    Hi,
    I am trying to customize the out of the box "slideshow" display template for content search webpart which renders Images.
    By default, the slideshow display template has a fixed the image size which is very small. Is it possible to increase the dimensions of the container or control template to show a much larger image size?
    Can anyone please help on how to do this?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to increase the dimensions of the container or control template to show a much larger image size in the Content Search web part.
    I recommend to create a custom Display Template (control and Item display templates) and use JQuery Slider plugin to achieve this goal.
    More detailed information are provided in the link below:

  • Displaying Video in Google Search Results

    Hello,
    I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right place. So I appologise if I have it wrong.
    I am trying to get my video thumbnail to appear along with my website in Google Searches. I have found examples of the HTML markup and the video sitemaps and modified them to suite my needs, I have included the HTML into my website and uploaded the sitemap in Google Webmaster Tools a couple of weeks ago. However, the video still doesn't apppear in the Google Searches. I used Dreamweaver CS6 to embed the video file into my HTML4 website. Google has accepted the sitemap and everything seems to be ok, except that it still doesn't display in the Google Searches.  I have placed the code I used below. Thanks,

    @Ken: Good find! I didn't look into the code in detail.
    @potzki: No, your markup for sitemap seems fine. But like Ken said, the image is not available on the server. Also, do note that the sitemap is only an 'indicator' for Google and will help Google in understanding how your site is laid out - since it is you, the sitemaster, that creates the sitemap and pushes it to Google. But, it's not end of the road for Google. It will cache other areas of your site - unless you've explicitly told Google not to using robots.txt file.
    One more observation - your domain name is like way tooooooo long - forget google, for regular people to type into. Is there a specific reason you chose this one rather than a short, concise one?

  • Displaying Predefined properties in a Search iView

    Hi,
    I have created a Search iView with a Show Options link. Now, when the user clicks on Show Options, I need a "Industry" property to appear with check boxes next to it. I have created the Search Component Set and Options Set. In the Search Options set, I have checked "Enable Predefined Properties" and in "Predefined Properties", I have specified "Industry". I did create the "Industry" property and have checked "Multi-Valued" and for "Allowed Values", I have specified Banking, Retail. However, when I click on "Show Options", I see "Industry" and a text box next to it. Is there something else which needs to be done? Can anyone please point me in the right direction? Thanks for all your valuable time and effort.
    Sincerely,
    Sri

    Hi Sri,
    what's the type of your property?
    What's your Release?
    How does your property appear in 'Details -> Properties'?

  • Filter Predefined Properies, Feedback Search, XML Forms Show form issues

    Hi all,
    I have created XML forms with XML builder and I have some questions.
    1. When filtering by predefined properties I want to filter by two properties, which are the same. For example, if there is a publication with two authors and author is the predefined property, in the first field I write the name of the first author, in the second field I write the name of the second author, the result is all publications, which are by both authors and all publication, which are either by the one, or by the other.
    I don't have this problem when I filter by two different predefined properties. For example the author and the year. Than the result is all publication, which are by the author AND published in the requested year.
    How can I set this option to be able to filter by two same predefined properties and the relation between both properties to be AND?(only publications by both author)
    2. In the Show form I have created link to the feedback, using XML Forms BUilder, but I need to write first the feedback to be able to see already existing feedbacks,
    if there are any. In the ResourceRendering Form I have created link to the feedback by LayoutSet, where I can see first, if there are already existed feedbacks.
    If there is any possibility to set a LayoutSet for the Show Form or any other way in the Show form to display first the existing feedbacks and than to be able to write a new.
    And something else reffering to the Show form, is it possible to rate the item from Show form or at least to have link to the rating, not a link to the Details.
    I have tried to create a link to the /Properties/col:rating, but it doesn't work. The link dispays the value, if it has been already rated.
    3. Is it possible to search for any information in the feedbacks(to make the feedback searchable)?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Best regards,
    Zlatina

    Hi Zlatin,
    -> 1

  • What controls the headline display name in a search?

    I have uploaded my site (tbuildersinc.com) and it displays OK.  However when I do a search on tbuildersinc the headline displays "Home" wiht the site URL in the subhead.  How do I fix that?
    Also, on one computer the site is all garbled and on another it shows an american flag next to phone numbers.  What controls that?  Is this a browser version issue?

    Hello,
    Search Engines by default picks up the Title of the page. In muse you can change the title of the page by going into Page Properties>MetaData.
    Uncheck the option "(Title) Same as Page Name) and put the desired title there.
    Please have a look at the screenshot :
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Sachin
