Display problems in Nokia N70 music edition

The main display screen has turned black and white although i can recieve the calls but could not make one as the contacts and other options are not visible Plz help

I have a suggestion for you as a last resort but unfortunately it would lead to loss of data on phone.
Take the battery out for 10 minutes and then replace and see if any difference.
If not try the "3 finger reset" which is depress these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone whilst keeping those same three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

    If there's a need for your phone to be reflashed, best to take it to Nokia Care Point and let the technician do the reflashing. Flashing the phone on your own may cause unforeseen damaging side-effects, which in turn may void the warranty of your Nokia device.

  • Display Problem in Nokia N70

    Hi,
    Yesterday when i was cleaning my mobile to remove the dust particles, I removed the upper cover of Nokia N70 & was cleaning the glass with a cloth & I used a brush to remove the dust, while cleaning a small minute particle fell down from my mobile & later when everything is done, i switched on my mobile, but unfortunately i was not able to see any display on my screen. It was totally blank (While Light). I am able to receive incoming calls but i'm not able to see whose no. it is nor i cant view any of my profile since it is blank.
    Can you please advise what can be done with regard to this.

    I am afraid it is most definitely a hardware problem. You will have to get it fixed at your nearest Care Centre.

  • Help with nokia n70 music edition

    so...i have a year and a half this cell phone and i am very pleased of its works..
    suddenly one day one friend of mine made me a missed call and it didnt appeared in the main screen as "1 missed call"
    i had to go to the general calls to see it..
    this happens and with the SMS and MMS ...my phone doesnt vibreate when they come...it doesnt also show in my main screen "1 new messege"
    but it appears a little letter a little bit down my battery
    i have updated the version but i also have this problem
    any idea of what to do?? :/

    Try factory Reset(*#7780#)which resets all settings to defaults but keeps any applications you have installed and photos etc. Both need the Security code, which, by default, is 12345.

    I'm looking with google for a few hours.. It's a bit impossible, I need some "inside" information something that makes the difference between the coolers(between the normal one and the heatpiped one).
    On the website that I ordered it writes: "MSI GeForce 9800 GT 512MB DDR3 OC" and "N9800GT-T2D512-OC" as the product code(here's the link in other language, but the main part can be understand: http://www.mediadot.ro/placi-video/placa-video-msi-geforce-9800-gt-512mb-ddr3-oc)
    Searching on google it usually brings me images with both boards: with heatpipes and without.
    So I look on the reviews.. :
    here: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/816/1/ it writes "N9800GT T2D512 OC"
    but if you google "N9800GT T2D512 OC" you will find images with both.
    ok so we move on, this review is about the same "N9800GT T2D512 OC"

    And here's one about the nomal 9800GT(with no heatpipes) http://www.ultimatehardware.net/nvidia/msi_geforce_9800_gt.htm - the boxes are all the same.
    The boxes also looks the same based on msi.eu website, or the reviews.
    And all the reviews are specifying same confusing model..
    Even mighty Google cannot solve this mystery.
    There is the same name, same specifications, but models with different coolers and it didn't specify this nowhere on the box.
    I hope that there might be some detail that can make an difference between the models - European versions .
    I'm pretty sure that there must be some detail on the box in the serial number or somewhere.

  • Problems with Camera on Nokia n73 music edition

    I have a nokia n73 music edition and this is the issue
    When I slide down bac cover to open camera sometimes the I don't get image from back camera at all but only from front.
    Another this is that today I opened the camera and with the shouter I couldn't take pictures.
    I pressed it but nothing occured.
    I tried to update the software but no luck because it says that phone has newer software.
    I also when I go to the Camera through the main menu then it shows the video of front camera

    Format your memory card and try again. Remember to backup all your stuff in the memory card before formatting.
    If you still have problems, then try these options one by one:
    1. Turn off your phone and leave your battery out for 5-10min. Then, put them back in and turn on the phone.
    2. Restore factory settings: type *#7780# at the standby screen. Enter 12345 for the security code or the one you've changed it to.
    Before you try the next two steps, backup your phone memory using PC Suite.
    3. Soft reset: type *#7370#. Enter the security code when prompted
    4. Hard reset (Last resort, nothing else works): Turn off your phone, press and hold down these keys: 3, * and the call (Green) button. Turn on your phone without releasing them. Leave the keys only after you see the Nokia logo on the screen.
    If none of these work, then take it to the nearest Nokia Care Point.

  • Nokia N73 Music edition phone dead while updating ...

    Hi,
          I just tried to update my nokia N73 Music edition phone to the latest firmware. When I tried it, it said there is no update available, do you want to reinstall the latest firmware. I wanted to get my phone to a clean to, since most programs were misbehaving, unfortunately while upgrading it stopped at a state saying 14 secs remaining. Then after some time, it said the connection is lost.
         It also displayed some instructions to remove the battery, and place usb card first, etc.. I followed all those to no avail. The phone just remained blank. Nothing happened. I have restarted my system, removed the battery from the cell phone multiple times, nothing has helped. 
        Please help me.

    Install pcsuite to a laptop with blutooth or desktop with bluetooth dongle. Activate the bluetooth on the phone then pair it.

  • Display problem in Nokia XL

    I purchased a Nokia XL last month (Purchased online). After a normal usage of almost 15 days, during office hours, the Display got white vertical lines. If you lock the screen and unlock after some time , the display looks clear, after some time the white vertical lines start coming on the display.
    is there any hardware problem are any settings problem. The place where i am staying is 75 KM away from the nearest nokia care center.
    Any one faced the same issue of Display problem in XL

    This may be software problem. For now, follow instructions given by @dimoff
    Reset your phone, it will delete entire data on your device. So create a backup of your data before resetting.

    Everytime i want to tranfer music i get an error report on Windows Vista Home premium which says NokiaMusicManager has stopped working. Do i need different software for vista? If i uninstall Nokia Pc Suit and reinstall it it would transfer about 4 songs and then the problem would reappear! please help!!

    And if you mean you are sending music via Bluetooth from another device, then open those two songs you received earlier>options>save. Now they are saved to Mem card>attachments. and you can delete them from inbox. and can send more. (do the same with them)

    I had purchased a 5800 xpress music in April 2010.  For the last two months there is some problems in the display.  Sometimes, the display is gone and only lines are seen, when the key pad lock on.  This pevails for long time.  Due to this, I am unable to make any call or identify the incoming call.  Any solution?

    What version of Firmware ? Check for any updates thru' the OVI Suite..
    If that doesn't solve the issue, you may try the Soft Reset by dialing    *#7370#     followed by 12345 (Default security code) when prompted. If you have set your own code, enter that instead... Note that the Soft Reset will erase all data from the phone, so back-up your data before doing that...
