Display scanned document to screen as it scans

When scanning to a PDF file, how can I set Acrobat X to display each page as it scans?

This functionality is available on Windows when we scan via "File -> Create -> PDF From Scanner" route. How are you scanning? Which platform are you using?
Scanning? File>PDF From Scanner, when it scanning I show a box that saids "HP Scanning" "Preparing to scan" Scanning to Adove Acrobat 10.0" with a green bar showing the progress. One the scan is complete I then get a display screen of what has been scanned.
I scan up to 500 pages to one file and I want to be able to display the documents as they go through for quality control.
I am running Windows XP.

Monitor (hp 23xi & 25xi) displays "Scanning No Signal" then to sleep but other monitor works ok.

About 7 months ago I purchased an HP 23xi IPS to replace a burned out ViewSonic flat screen for my desktop (HP Pavilion a6050e, PN: GC382AV#ABA, SN:[Personal Information Removed] running Windows Vista Home Premium OEMAct 32 bit, with a NIVIDIA GeForce 7500 LE display adapter). The 23xi worked perfectly until a few days ago at power up it just displayed “Scanning: No-Signal” as it scrolled through the auto-detect options (HDMI, VGA and HDMI). After a couple scans it goes to sleep. I checked the cables, switched between HDMI and VGA cables, tried new HDMI and VGA cables. Finally I drug out my old hp pavilion mx90 CRT and connected via VGA and I finally got a normal signal (this is the only way I can write this).
I tried multiple combinations of shutting down, unplugging, rebooting. Convinced it was a problem with the 23xi I took it back to the retailer who was kind enough to give me an exchange with an upgrade to a brand new 25xi which I hooked up and ran the startup disk that it came with and still the same problem. The startup disk dialog insists that the drivers are loaded but I don’t see it in my device manager. I also downloaded the latest drivers for my video card from NIVIDIA and rebooted. I ran a cleanup using Norton (fixed 3 invalid registries); still, no luck. Again, no problems when using my old 30 lb mx90 monitor, screen saver is working too.
However, every once in a while I get a dialog box at start up describing a monitor failure (I didn’t think to copy the full text of the first one which stated, in part:

Welcome to the HP Community! I see that you are having problems setting up your HP 23xi IPS. Try installing the drivers in safe mode in case something in Windows is blocking it. You can use the CD or go here to download the drivers. Another option is running the HP Support Assistant to see if detected anything that needs to be updated.

How to display error documents in selection screen level

Hi,
Currently Iam doing Smartforms for journal voucher. Iam taking multiple documents as input and displaying relavent item data for each.
Now, my requirement is i want to display invalid document numbers at selection screen level. For example there are 30 invalid document number i want to display them before start-of-selection.

Editing Tree in FB50 Screen to Display Sample Documents

Is there configuration that allows you to display Sample Documents that you can use for Post with Reference directly from the tree structure in FB50 / FV50?

Step 1: Goto FB50 and create an entry that is balanced ad likeley to be used as reference in future
Step 2: Edit>>Save account assignment template. Name the template and save it.
Step 3: Come out of FB50 screen
Step 4: Goto FB50
Step 5: Click on Tree On
Step 6: Expand Account assignment templates for items
Step 7: Select your saved template by double clicking

When receiving email, Thunderbird freezes and displays "Not Responding" in screen header. Adds popstate folder to account.

I'm running Thunderbird 31.6.0 on Windows 8.1 with BitDefender 2013.
PROBLEM:
When getting email, Thunderbird freezes and displays "Not Responding" in screen header.
When TB is closed then reopened, a popstate folder (popstate-1.dat) is added to account. A new popstate folder appears with each crash/freeze, and as long as they are not deleted, they pile up with unique numbers (popstate-1.dat, popstate-2.dat, etc.).
(see attached screenshot)
NOTE: I've included troubleshooting details below for all the fixes I tried, thinking it might be helpful to anyone who has a similar problem and is thinking about going down those paths. Ultimately, it seems that FIX ATTEMPT 5 is the winner.

FIX ATTEMPT 1:
Following the suggestion in this archived mozilla support post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1026288, I restarted Thunderbird in Safe Mode (Help > Restart with Add-Ons disabled...), checking the "Disable all add-ons" and "Reset toolbars and controls" and clicking "Make Changes and Restart" button.
In Add-Ons Manager, BitDefender Toolbar now appears to be disabled.
(see attached screenshot)
But the problem persists.
FIX ATTEMPT 2:
Following the suggestion in this archived mozilla support post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1016811, I clicked Help > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder button. This opens a File Explorer window for 3I58b9dq.default (this is the "profile" folder) which contains panacea.dat and folderTree.json files.
I changed file names to panacea-changed.dat and folderTree-changed.json (rather than deleting them, in case I need to restore them), and I reopened Thunderbird.
This did not solve the problem -- and, furthermore, the profile folder seems to have automatically generated new panacea.dat and folderTree.json files to replace those for which I changed the filenames.
FIX ATTEMPT 3:
Following the suggestion in this mozilla support post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1044774, I restarted Windows 8.1 in safe mode with networking enabled (using these instructions: http://www.howtogeek.com/107511/how-to-boot-into-safe-mode-on-windows-8-the-easy-way/.)
TB does not crash when Windows runs in safe mode, but the aspect ratio of my display is distorted; everything's really big and stretched horizontally, and my two displays are mirrored rather than extended. Running Windows perpetually in safe mode is not the ideal fix.
QUESTION 1: I understand that troubleshooting is supposedly done best in safe mode — What might I do in safe mode to diagnose the Thunderbird problem?
FIX ATTEMPT 4:
This article https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues#Symptoms, suggests that problems with Thunderbird associated with BitDefender can be solved by uninstalling and re-installing BitDefender.
Not really comfortable uninstalling and re-installing, I disabled Bitdefender (Settings button > Antivirus button > Shield tab > On-Access Scanning toggle Off) to see if that would work. It did not fix the problem.
QUESTION 2: Would uninstalling BitDefender be any different than disabling it?
FIX ATTEMPT 5:
Create a Bitdefender Exclusion for the Thunderbird folder:
Settings button > Antivirus button > Exclusions tab > Excluded files and folders link > Add button > navigate to Thunderbird folder (c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\thunderbird) > Both radio button > Add button > OK button
THIS FIX DID THE TRICK! YAY!

FIX ATTEMPT #5 above did the trick, and now I see that it was the chosen solution for a similar post of the same problem at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1044774

Unable to display customs document in SAP GTS

Hello,
I am using SAP GTS 7.2 Compliance services. SPL and Embargo services are working well (I am not using License determination).
Indeed, when I save a sales order in ERP, it is effectively checked for compliance, as I receive a message when it is blocked by GTS..
In GTS, I can check that concerning business partners are effectively blocked, using:
"Display Blocked Business Partners" and "Display Business Partners with Embargo Situation".
But I cannot display any customs document in SAP GTS, using transaction /SAPSLL/CUHD_DISPLAY (Display all documents) or SAPSLL/CON_BLOCKED_DOCS_EXP (Display blocked documents).
I get the following error message "No data was found for the selection criteria specified".
As I understood, SAP GTS performs the compliance checks not on ERP documents but on corresponding GTS customs document. Thus I guess they are effectively created somewhere! If it was not the case, I guess the process should not work.
When I look in the audit trail of SPL for documents, I can see all the SPL checks that have been performed. Looking in the corresponding table "/SAPSLL/SPLAUD", I can even find the numbers of the different customs documents...
But there is nothing in table "/SAPSLL/CUHD", where they should be copied... The only entries I found concern biling documents that were transferred for customs purposes...
Could you please help me on this matter?

Thank you for your fast answer. I checked in the debug mode creating a breakpoint at statement RFC and it effectively stops at RFC /SAPSLL/API_6800_SYNCH.
But when I check the log in transaction SLG1, nothing appears concerning /SAPSLL/API_6800_SYNCH.
I think the customs document is effectively created in GTS as I can see it has a number assigned in the audit trail for SPL screening. And compliance services work.
Though when going through the transaction of displaying all documents in GTS there is nothing. Table "/SAPSLL/CUHD" is empty (except some billing documents that were transferred for customs purposes).
This is really weird... Anyway, thank you for your help.

Using cl_gui_textedit, text blocks always display prior document.

We have two containers and we're using two instances of cl_gui_textedit.
On the first call to the text screen, we see the two texts that we should see.
The user saves the data and backs out to the selection screen, which contains an ALV display of documents.
The user selects the next document to process. During initialization, we attempt the FREE destructor but it does not destroy the text editor ref to cl_gui_textedit. We can initialize with clear and free as ABAP statement. Upon entry to the PBO, we can see that we have forcibly cleared the ref to cl_gui_textedit. It's 0: INITIAL for both text editors. We watch the table being built and the internal tables contain the correct text. After our set read_only true or false, we get a beep, and then arrive at our text screen without any error message.
What is on the screen at that point will be the texts from the prior document. We've tried inserting lifetime parameters for our custom container. We've tried CALL METHOD cl_gui_cfw=>flush (which appears to always be necessary in PAI when we get the unprotected portion and the indices, etc.). Neither of these alter the behavior of the screen and the erroneous content of the text editor blocks.
Question: is there a method or something that anyone can suggest to "force" the text blocks to contain the data that was in the table, rather than the data that was in the table for the prior transaction?

Did you try calling the method DELETE_TEXT of the CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT before setting up the next text.
This is how I get rid of the existing text:
* Delete the Text
me->o_editor->delete_text( ).
* Set the new text
me->o_editor->set_textstream( EXPORTING text = iv_text ).

Adobe Reader DC, doesn't disable "Display PDF Document in the web browser" when option is unchecked.

The option under Accessibility>Setup Assistanct to uncheck the "Display PDF Document in the web browser" doesn't correctly disable Display PDF in browser when unchecked, it still defaults to opening in Internet Explorer even after restarting the browser. Confirmed this tested agianst with IE 8, 9, 10 and 11 with the same behavior. Moving back to Reader 11.0.10 and using this same setting works flawlessly. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

G/L account no assigned cheque numbers in Document Overview screen (FB03)

Hi there,
I currently have an issue wherein cheque numbers are not assigned on the document overview - display screen. Payment run and Cheque run have been initiated. Checking on SAP table PAYR-CHECT, cheque number is assigned to the relevant doc number. Checking on BKPF-XBLNR, the cheque run reference number is populated.
Can you please advise me why the cheque number is not assigned to the G/L account in the document overview screen but if you check on the table PAYR, the cheque number is visible?
Please let me know what are further checks I need to do to isolate on the issue.

I dont quite get you. Do you mean to say that in the clearing document generated in the payment run the check number should appear somewhere.
If you see the description of PAYR table, it stands for Payment Medium File.
So it appears here tagged to the clearing document.

Display of document line items with user defined fields

Hi all,
I have created two user defined fields in CI_COBL structure and they are available on OBC4 screen. I maintained optinal for entry in the screen layout. I posted one document with user defined fields and saved.
Now the document is updated in BSEG table. I then display the document, and it display the doucment
But when i double click on the one of the line items system gives an error that there is some problem in customising and entries missing in Table COBM.
I checked OXK3 and see that in field information for user fields, it says entries maintained in table COBM.
But still i couldnt display my line items in detail.
Any solutions

Yes your are looking at the correct sap note.
Things look pretty straight forward in the notes documentation.
1)Extend the VBKRED structure with the fields you want.
2)Populate thse values in the user exit in program DBKMVF02 in FORM routine USER_EXIT_FUELLEN_XVBKRED.
For extending a standard structure you need to create a zstructuree in se11 first and then append it to the standard structure.
In your case you need to extend VBKRED_EX1 structure rather than VBKRED.

HR authorization for Display the documents in SAP DMS

HI experts,
We want to control display authorization depending on the entry made in object link tab in DMS( DOcument Management System). We developed screen for HR master object link. When user executes cv03n and enters document No. system should check hr master number entered in object link. If the user has authorization for that hr master number in PA (personnel administration), then he should be allowed to display the document. Otherwise it should restrict him to display the DIR.
Now my query is how to achieve it. Can anybody provide me some solutions
I have one solution, whenever user enter document number in cv03n screen, system will first check hr master number entered in object link and it will check the Personnel Area, Employee group and employee subgroup aginst this hr master number. Say for ex: PA:1000, EG:1 and ESG:01 for HR number xyz.
Now system should check in roles assigned agaist user id for these PA, EG and ESG values. If user has got authorization for PA:1000, EG:1 and ESG:01 in HR roles,then he should allowed to display the document.
Now my query is how feasible this approach? is this tough task for abaper? or is there any easier approach than this.

Display the document currency instead display Currency in Report

Hi Experts,
I am having a query in support system, in that one characteristic called document currency is there under Unit Dimension and this Doc currency info object having the Display currency and Document currency as Variables. Document currency Info object is in Free characteristics without related variables (Disp.curr and Doc.curr)
When I execute the query defaultly Display currency will appear as a variable in selection screen, because customer exit(cmod) has created like that
Now user want to display the document currency instead Display currency in the report, may I know how can I solve this problem?
Here I am unable to get the customer exit detatils and which program is there in CMOD, can anyone suggest me, how I will get the details?
And one more requirement in this CR, that is user want to display the key figure amount in the report should be displayed with the document currency amount only
May I know, want to do any settings for this?

Hi rajesh,
1.customer exit value you can change in CMOD,select your project and go to components and select EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001.there go to include zxrsru01,and change display variable to document currency variable.
2. if u want to display your key figure value in document currency ,,go to that key figure info object ,,,in currency ( reference) field give document currency info object.Then map the respective amount value again in transformation.load the data, now in report document currency will be displayed along with key figure amount.

Display blocked document SPL - unable to to SPL check

Dear friends,
I have a blocked sales document in "Display Blocked Documents" in SPL area. I can search on the reference number and i got one record. I selected that and try to "Start SPL screening". It says "Unable to select any data (see long text)". Can you please tell me what could be the problem.

please check your customizing:
TA spro->GTS -> Compliance -> SPL service- > Control setting for SPL -> Document screening strategy.
You can select if you want to rescreen all addresses or only changed addresses.
I assume that the address was not changed manually but system is defined in that way...
