Display sequence

Can someone guide me how to change the display of song sequence in IPOD playlist (not in ITUNES). I really cannot find out how they are being ordered in IPOD.
It doesnt seem to be ordered by song name or album or the way I added them.
Let me know.
thanks in advance.
IPOD30GB   Windows XP

I dont see ALBUM#. I'm not sure what you mean by song properties because, when I right click on song in IPOD and look at GETINFO, I can see TRACK#, DISC#. I cleared them because I really dont use them and when I look at IPOD songs its still the same. No clue on how they are being sorted.
I will try and give you more details to see if it helps.
I have created like 10-12 playlists. The playlists are ordered by playlist name. Songs inside playlist have song name, artist, composer, album. Initially, I thought it was sorting alphabetically by song name. So, I prefixed album name in songname. But, then I realized it is not sorting that way.
When I look at Ipod the display under play list are like this (to name few)
A - k..
G - S..
A - a..
R - n..
(CAPS are album names and small case are song names)
Let me know if you know more info on sorting these lists

  • Controlling display sequence of level 2 menu [SOLVED]

I am using the dynamic menu structure (which by the way is an excellent ehancement !) but my level 2 menu groups all have a display sequence of 1 so they order themselves however they like. Obvioulsy I can turn off the flag to update menu items and then allocate the correct display order but if I want to rebuild the menu, the changes are lost.
Why does it not pick up the order of the groups in the AppDef.xml for level 2 as it does for level 1 ?
    Cheers,
    Brent

    Brent,
This is caused by an error in jhsDynamicMenu.vm. The statement:
    #set ($subcounter = 1)
    should be located BEFORE statement
    #foreach ($subgroup in $group.detailGroups)
    instead of AFTER this statement.

  • Display sequence of free char

    Hello,
In query designer, I have changed the order of the free chars in the way I would like to see them displayed in the executed web template (not in actual report, but in the list of chars next to the report). However, when I execute the template connected to the query, the free chars appears in a more or less random sequence.
I thought that the only thing necessary to do in order to get a certain display sequence of the free char list connected to the query/template was to place the free chars in the requested sequence in query designer, bt obviously something else also needs to be done.
Could someone help me out with this?

    Hi FC,
It seems that you are either talking about the Sequence of Variables in the Selection Screen or the Sequence of Free Characteristics that appears in the Navigation Block.
For arranging the Seq on Variables go to the the Querry properties and change teh Sequence there.
For arranging the Seq of Characteristics in the Navigation block got to the query change mode and arrange here, or go to the Web Item Navigational Block and in the Properties arrange the characteristics.

  • Problem with the display sequence of free characteristics in Bex Analyzer

    Hello,
I want to display free characteristics in particular sequence in Bex Analyzer.
I have arranged free characteristics in particular sequence in bex designer but while executing the report from analyzer
free characteristics are not getting displayed in the sequence in which i wanted to display it in query output.
Could you please let me know what setting needs to be done in order to display free characteristics in required sequence in bex analyzer.
    Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay:
Please observe that the sequence of Characteristics in BEx Analyzer is Alphabetic (in ascending order), I faced a similar situation once and I solved it by adding a prefix to the Characteristic Name at the query level, for example.

  • Display sequence in organiser

I shoot all pictures in RAW and JPG formats.  In past versions of PSE Organiser displayed the .JPG and .CR2 for the same picture alongside each other.  Now with PSE9 I first get all .CR2 files for a particular date followed by all JPG files for the same date.  How can I get these files back into a strictly file name sequence, excluding the file extension name? Thanks

I dont' believe there is an answer from Adobe as yet.  Yes it is a horrible bug, that has major impact to those of use iwth any RAW files.  Adobe hasn't released an update to fix it.  What has happened is your time on the RAW files is incorrectly reported by Organizer.  They are probably all X hours off from the Jpeg.  This is because Organizer, inexplicably, decides to convert the stated date in the RAW files and gets its time zone conversion wrong.  Why the heck Adobe has it doing anything but simply read and report the time stamp is beyond me.
Seems the latests updates to PSE 9 and ACR plugin created the issue.  It is one of many things causing me no end of headache and I haven't figured out what to do.  Thought of upgrading to LightRoom but even that is slow on my host.  But it is Adobe that is slow as other product trials I have installed over the last few days are fast. really fast even with raw.  But PSE has the features I want.  What to do...

  • How to display sequence file version in report?

We would like to add the sequence file version number
(Edit>>Sequence File Properties...) to our reports and record it
in the test result database.  How do you access this property from
    a step in the sequence?

    OR use RunState.SequenceFile.Data.Version.
    For the Report Header:
In a ModifyReportHeader callback, add a statement step that has this expression:
    Parameters.ReportHeader += RunState.SequenceFile.Data.Version
This will append the SequenceFile Version to the header string. You will probably want to play with placement and may decide to insert more than just the version.
Also, note that the ModifyReportHeader callback is only called when a Sequence is used to generate the report body. See the bottom of the Content tab of the Report Options Dialog (Configure>>Report Options) for this setting.
    For Database Logging:
If you haven’t done this before, you will need to customize the schema and the database to include this additional “result”. I recommend adding a column to the UUT_RESULT table for this sort of information. If you have taken the TestStand I: Introduction course, this process is covered in Lesson 11. Otherwise, there is background information in the TestStand Help and Chapter 6 of the TestStand Reference Manual. The key will be found in Configure>>Database Options.

  • Soa management Monitoring ...Display Sequences monitoring

    Hello all
What is the previous configuration in order to see the the messages of the web service sequence monitor of the SOA MANAGER .
I was able to consume a webservice via proxy in a same machine and now I want to see the sequence monitor the sequence monitoring ?
How do I have to proceed ?
    Thank u for any reply..

A management pack generally refers to the set of pages in EM Grid/Cloud Control which provide functionality for a given set of target types. Since EM Grid Control 11g, the ADP functionality has been part of the Grid Control release and the pages licensed via the Management Pack Plus for SOA or the SOA Management Pack EE.
To populate the ADP pages with data, additional steps must be performed in order to deploy an ADP manager and ADP agents. Doing this is optional, depending on whether or not you require the additional capability that those pages provide.
ADP data, however, are collected and stored separately from the core GC/CC metrics and are not related to the monitoring template functionality.

  • How to have ipod display photos in a desired sequence from windows ?

I just bought a ipod 80GB model. Downloaded all my photos from foldes in my Compaq running Windows XP Pro. Thd photo slide show display sequence is somehow by some sort of file name sequence. How can I arrange the photos in my windows directory in a desired sequence to be downloaded to ipod to display accordingly ? Is there software available under windows XP ?
    Andy

good morning. I have been trying out how to send you an question...and this is the only path I could find. My question is in regards to a post you had on August 17 to dcwhited regarding photos and lightroom.
    I am running Windows Vista.
I, like dcwhited have recently installed lightroom. Here is my problem.
Before installing lightroom when I loaded my photos from the memory card to the computer, they automatically went into my file I had created on my desktop. Now they automatically go into lightroom I changed the setting in lightroom as you suggested to dcwhited. But on the general tab (autoplay )I cannot read what you have told him to check off. Can you help?
I have another question, I have recently started shooting in raw as opposed to Jpeg. I did manage somehow to export one file from Lightroom into the file on my desktop, but when I open that file there are just symbols with ORF on them, I am assuming that this is because I shot them in raw. However when I want to open them, CS5 automatically opens up. What if I want to process them in Elements 9.
Thanks for any help you can give this old muddled brain of mine!

  • Disconnecting Cinema Display Leaves Windows Stranded on Laptop

    Dear All,
I use a 17" PowerBook with a newly purchased 20" Cinema Display in dual screen (non-mirroring mode) at work and just the laptop at home. The CInema Display is set as the primary monitor.
Using Excel in dual screen mode before leaving work on Thursday, I had a spreadsheet open on the laptop (secondary) screen. I disconnected everything and went home. Now, with only the laptop, that spreadsheet is inaccessible. It's open and, by using Expose I can see it, but when I pick it, it just slides off the screen.
Is there any way to get it back?
I'm figuring when I get to work I'll be able to get it. And I also assume that I should have probably gone through a "detect displays" sequence after disconnecting (although that's not working now). Maybe using the laptop as the primary display is the secret as well. However, it would be nice to be able to get it now.
Incidentally, I do not find Apple's dual screen setup very elegant. Having the main menu only at the top of the primary screen means a lot of mouse movement when using the secondary screen. In addition, when I use right click menus on some secondary screen programs, they appear on the primary screen.
    Thanks for the help... Jim
PS - For those who saw my post on another forum about a window too large to access, it is not related to the dual screen. It is running on a different system without the dual screen although I tried using the larger dual screen to acces it (unsuccessfully).

Open the Script Editor in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and run the following:
    tell application "Microsoft Excel"
    set bounds of window 1 to {61, 95, 465, 313}
    end tell
Insert the application's name in the first line inside the quote marks, press the Run button, and then resize the window. Close all open documents in Excel which you can see. This script may not work for all applications.

  • How to connect a MBP to a BENQ external monitor using a HDMI cable and a HDMI to mini display adapter?

Hi, I have just bought a brand new HDMI cable and HDMI to minidisplay adapter  and tried to connect my Macbook Pro up. The external display knows it is there but it is not getting any signal. I have tried on another TV and it also says no signal and I also tried using another Mac but it still didn't work.
    Can anyone help?

In some versions of Mac OS X, with the Displays pane open, holding the Option key will show the detect displays button in the lower right.
I am using OS X Mavericks. Where did the Detect Displays button go?
You can find the Detect Displays button in the Displays section of System Preferences. Once there, press and hold the Option key to see the Detect Displays button in the lower-right corner. You can click this button to manually detect another display.
Another technique is to sleep and wake your computer, which will send the detect display sequence as well.

  • Built in viewer not displaying XML report

we are working on a test system that was originally developed elsewhere, using TestStand 4.0. It is generating XML report files, but not using the default NI schema, instead using both it's own 'custom' schema and reportgen sequence file for the report formatting. When it was running in TS 4.0, it all appeared to operate correctly, i.e. once the execution had come to an end, the built in TS viewer showed the XML file formatted correctly as defined in the XSL file.
For a variety of reasons, we have needed to upgrade to TS 4.2.1, and as a result, the built in report viewer no longer displays the XML report at teh end of an execution. Instead, it shows an error ...
'The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/<file_path>/TempReport.xml'
Looking in the <file_path>, there is a TempReport.xml file, which is empty, hence the error message, but there is also the correct xml file, with data in. Clicking on the 'Viewer' button in the built in report viewer kicks off IE, which correctly shows the saved report file, complete with the formatting as defined in the xsl file, so it would appear that the custom reportgen sequence is still doing it's job correctly, just that the built in viewer has a problem... (Incidentally, if you try to refresh the viewer, as suggested in the error message, it brings back the same error, but repetatively creates a new TempReport file, with a number appended...)
I've traced through the sequence model (this is the default model) and the tempReport file is only created when the sequence model finishes, (In fact checking the value of the Locals.ReportFilePath variable right at the end of the sequence model shows the correct filename...) suggesting that it is not a sequence problem, but rather something built into TS? (I saw some comment on another forum entry suggesting that a temp file is created when using IE as an external viewer, to prevent a memory leak)
Realistically this is not a major problem, but it has got to the level of annoying now, having to open an external viewer even though the built in one is loaded by default... I'm guessing that the built in viewer is just a simple browser? if so, why is it being passed the wrong file/creating an empty xml file. If I set the report back to standard xml, I see the report ok, but without the formatting.
It seems odd that this breaks in TS 4.2.1 but works fine in 4.0, when TS is meant to be backwardsly compatible
Any ideas would be gratefully received...

Thanks for the suggestion Anand... As it turns out, you were very nearly right. It turned out that it wasn't actually the stylesheet path that was causing the error, but instead the original developers had over-ridden the use of the standard NI xml report handler sequence to use one of their own, by setting the ReportOptions.format to a different name from xml. In the Setup Reports Display sequence call (uses a sequence in the modelsupport.seq file) there was a pre-condition on the format name, and as it no longer contained just xml, the precondition failed, and the sequence call that sets up temporary paths etc. never ran. I added an additional precondition state, to check for either xml, or the format used in this case, and everything sprung back into action. I'm not sure whether something similar was done previously in TS 4.0...
Is there a list of these known problems in TS 4.2.1? I did look around the NI site a bit before posting the initial question, and didn't see anything that seemed to detail this...
Once again, thanks for your assistance

  • Report not initially sorted as defined by Report Attributes "Sort Sequence"

I have a Report Region with Type SQL Query and Source "SELECT * FROM <table>" where <table> has a primary key from a sequence. Under Report Attributes, I have Report Column "ST_NM" with Show and Sort checked and having a Sort Sequence of "1". I assume this is to set the iniital display sequence but regardless, the report rows display in Primary key order initially.
To try it: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=21997:2 with Dever/Ima9Dever
    1) How do I set the initial display sequence to be other than the primary key sequence?

It's likely that Dever user has at some point clicked to sort on the PK column and created a persistent preference. Try it with a new user that has never viewed the page before...
