Display SSAS Pivot Table by user permissions

Is it possible to display different data from SSAS cube in excel pivot for each user (like having the username in custom data- no kerberoes)? How?
Thanks

  • Error in displaying two pivot tables side by side

    I am creating two pivot tables. They work fine when one after the other. BI Publisher gives an error if I place them side by side.
    One more issue. If i use this "for-eachCOLUMN0end" I get the following:
    Balances with Central Bank
    Cash and Cash-equivalent Securities
    Inter-bank Deposits
    Cash
    Asset-backed Securities Assets
    I want to just display any one of these, say Cash. How do I achieve that?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Varun

    The method has to diplay two boxes side-by side, as if they were sitting on the ground next to each other. The first box's character is the number 1. It has a height of 3, a length of 8 and has to sit six spaces from the left side of the page and be completely filled in. The second box sits six paces from the first, it has a height of 8, a length of 5 and the character has to be the number 2. This is filled in as well.
    I understand I would have to build on the method. How would I go about formulating a plan to do this. The program is a textmode device, like a printer prints from left to right.
    Thanks for reply

  • Displaying Pivot tables sections horizontally (in 11g)

    I have a need to display my pivot table sections horizontally.
    I've done some searching and found that some gurus named Joe Betram & John Minkjan came up with a way to do this in OBIEE 10g.
    Here is where they explain it (and it's what I am trying to do now):
    http://obiee101.blogspot.com/2010/01/obiee-horizontal-pivot-sections-part-2.html
    I cannot get this to work in OBIEE 11g though. Does anyone know of a way to do this in OBIEE 11g?
    (I am on OBIEE 11.1.1.5)
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    You might need to change the class names as in 11g ex: PTSectsTable this is more about 10g.
    Let me look into this. Just in case if you are done with this share the code

  • Pivot tables in excel with Live Office

    Once I save a business objects XI R2 web intelligence report to excel format and schedule to users the excel which the users receive should have pivot tables and users should be able to add any fields of their choice in the report and view it similar to the excel pivot tables.As far as I know I will be able to achive this functionality using Live Office.Is there any other way how I can achieve this and also has anyone worked on this kind of requirement and can confirm this will work without any issues with live office?

    It is not possible to schedule the WebI reports in Excel format and use a predefined excel template for this.
    What your users CAN do is to add their own pivot tables from the scratch in the excel file that was generated and delivered to them according to the schedule.
    What you can do is use LiveOffice (have to install the plug-in on all user workstations though), bind the instances and deliver your users an excel file, which uses liveoffice to bind the scheduled webI report instances (eg. the latest instance). Your users can add the desired pivot table functionality on their own or you can predefine this in the excel file yourself.
    Which version of BO do you use?

  • Passing ClientAttributes in Pivot table

    Hi,
    Working on Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.1
    We have attached client listener for pivot table for "click" event. My requirement is basically to pass client attributes which could be used for processing. (Ex: We display multiple pivot tables in IO & we enable or disable some options in UI based on pivot table selected).
    #1 But i do not see "setClientAttributes" API for UI Pivot table (as we do for other rich components). Could you please let me know approach to pass client attributes.
    #2: Can i determine if a cell/header is selected in pivot table on client without using pivot table getSelection() on server ?
    Thanks
    Navin

    Hi ZaidN,
    We do not have any direct option to do this.
    But as a workaround, we can achieve this using the following approach.
    Add a column to the criteria. Use the following in the column formula.
    '<table width="100%" align="center" bordercolor="#C9CBD3"
    frame="void" rules="cols" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <tr>
    <td align="center" width = "200">
    <font color = "black">'|| 'This Month' ||'</font>
    </td>
    <td align="center" width = "200">
    <font color = "black">'|| 'Accumulated YTD' ||'</font></td>
    </tr>
    </table>'Where This Month & Accumulated YTD are the table headings.
    Do not forget to change the Data Format to 'HTML'
    Place this column on top of measures labels in Columns Section.
    But, you need to fix the width of all the measure columns and adjust the <td> width accordingly.
    Hope it helps. :)
    Award points if this post helped you..

  • Pivot Table - Rows displayed

    Hi,
    I have a pivot table report which display complete report instead of showing 25 rows first.
    Due to large number of rows we are getting Out of memory issue.
    Is it possible to display 25 rows first in Pivot table. Please help - as users are unable to test this report.
    Thanks,
    Poojak

    Hi,
    I could able to do this for all reports in one shot by modifying the Instanceconfig.xml , with the below tags, make sure to put these tags before AdvancedReporting area.
    <Views>
    <Table>
    <DefaultRowsDisplayed>100</DefaultRowsDis played>
    </Table>
    </Views>
    Or Try:
    To limit number of rows in table view check this : http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/obiee_limit_clause
    For pivot : http://obiee101.blogspot.com/2008/02/obiee-controling-pivot-view-behavior.html
    You can also mention the rows to return in the pivot table properties.
    NOTE: Please mention if this resolved your problem/still facing and close the thread to assist others with similar problems.

  • How to display the column into the narrative or section from pivot table

    I have a report. I have the basic number displayed in the pivot table, but missing one column and I need move one column to the top. The column missing (% of tested) should be calculated by column c /column F's last number, ie, F7=48. My desired column would be H3=c3/F48 9/48, H4=c4/F488/48.... But I could not get the number 48 into my formula, because it is the running total of the all column E. These data is in Pivot table.
    I also need display No of Students 74 in the top of the report. I am not able to get this number from pivot table. It is count distinct on student key from the repository.
    I appreciate any help.

    I wish it was this easy. I must not explain it right. All the score from each student and each question for each subject and each test is stored in database. The number of question for the subject is the max of the questions for each subject. Basically, it needs 'parittion by'... But in the OBIEE, it would not let me add any 'partition by' in the column formula. Is this true? ie, can you use partition by in the column formula? Here are the query from trace file.

    Hi,
    I have such problem when I open in Excel 2010 14.0.7128.5000 (32 bit) a xlsx-file containing pivot tables and slicers connected to SSAS 2008 R2 cube:

  • Is there any possible that pivot table can display date values in the data area like this?

    I use Power Query to load data(including all the of data showed in the following table without accumulating) from database to the Excel Worksheet, and I want to build a pivot table like this.
    But the data area of the pivot table can only accecpt and display numeric data. Is there any possible that such a display can be achieved?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Would you like to upload a sample file through OneDrive? I'd like to see the data source structure and test it.

    It's recommended to download and install
    Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • Problem with format displayed in output while using Pivot table

    Hi All,
    I am using Pivot table in 10.1.3.4.1 version for displaying dynamic type data. Data is coming fine but it is coming in very strange format. I have following two tables in my RTF Template.
    Table1 using Pivot table
    !http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2570/4092137243_924cca92ca.jpg!
    Table 2 - A normal table
    !http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6651/table3p.jpg!
    In the output PDF, “Table 2” shows data fine but “Table 1” shows very strange kind of behaviour if the columns exceed more than 5 in “Table 1” . If columns in Pivot table output are more than 5[at present according to my Table1 size] then columns more than 5 are shown on next page after Table 2 instead of displaying inside outer table “Table1“. Anyone has any idea what is the reason behind this strange behavior and how can I avoid it ?
    Thanks
    -Sookie

    Hi All,
    I tried including following piece of code in RTF as mentioned here: [http://winrichman.blogspot.com/2009/05/cross-tab-by-limiting-number-of-colums.html] but as a result it showed blank page in report. Nothing else.

  • Pivot table not displaying the values correctly

    Hi,
    I have created a pivot table in which i am using 2 tables. I pulled columns from table A and one column from table B in the measures section to get the grand total. All the rows are comming fine but, its not returning any values for tableB's column(if i pull it into measures).
    If the column stays under rows section, the report is comming out fine.
    I need the total to be displayed in the report.
    Can some body help me with this.
    Thanks

    Hi David,
    i have set the column's aggregation to sum, and it is comming out correctly in the grand total, how ever, i have some of the coulmns which i am taking the %
    col3= (col2/col1)*100
    col1- aggregation set as Sum, col2 and col3 is set as default
    The values for col3 are comming finr in report , where as it is not returning correct value for garnd total row.
    ex: row w--- col1 col2 col3
    row1-----6630 1130 17.04
    row2 6114 994 16.26
    total 23317 3739 56.40(should be 16.2..)
    For col3 it is calculating like this(3739-total of col2/ 6630 -first row of col1 *100)
    Instead of taking total , it is taking the first row.
    I tried different aggregations, but was still unable to get the correct value. Can you please let me know if i am missing anything.
    Can we define custom aggregations.
    Thanks

  • Display value and percentage of row in pivot table w/o double counting...

    Hello,
    I am wondering how/if one can show a metric value and the row percentage it represents without double counting. So far, I have attempted to duplicate the metric value layer, move the duplicated layer in the measures section of the pivot table next to the original layer (i.e. I have the value twice in the measure section), and set the format of the duplicated layer to "show data as > percent > row".
    This makes the trick in terms of the data I see in the table; however, the values displayed in the table are double counted in the chart. I guess this makes sense since I have duplicated the metric value.
    Any thoughts on how I could tackle this issue differently?
    Thanks,
    JP

    You can do all that in the Pivot Table... Go to the measure properties and Duplicate Layer...than Show as...
    Dont need to duplicate the criteria...

  • SSAS Cube Hierarchy Default Member, not aggregatable in pivot table multi select, Urgent

    Hi All,
    I have one problem in my project ssas cube. one of the dimension hierarchy, a value has been set up as default member in calculation tab.
    The problem is:
    When i filter (select multiple) this defaulted value and other value in excel pivot, it is always showing default member value instead of selected members aggregated value. if i remove default member it is working fine. Can you please provide work around
    for this.
    Please note that, if select multiple values within that hierarchy (this time not selected default value), aggregation is working fine.
    Thanks, Rajendra

    Hi Hirmando,
    According to your description, the default member cause incorrect data when dragging a attribute that contain a default member to the FILTERS area, right?
    I can reproduce this issue on my environment, when dropping this dimension in the filter area of my pivot table and select multiple members including the default member then only data for the default member is shown. Currently, it's hard to say the root
    reason that cause this issue. In order to narrow down this issue, please apply the latest server pack and cumulative update.
    Besides, you can submit a feedback at
    http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback So that microsoft will confirm if this is a know issue.
