Display stock on posting date for a consignment stock

Dear guru.
I want to display the stock on posting date for a consignment stock (special stock indicator = "W" ) to display this stock and the linked movements for a specific customer.
MB5B donu2019t have the field customer in the selection view.
What transaction can I use ?

and select special stock

I have checked all settings also enhancement but there is no as such control to restrict backposting within current period
I think its self disipline action not to post backdated GI when GR is done on later date

In a certain report that we developed for our customer one of the data
Is "unrestricted stock on posting date".
Is there a function that calculate this data, and if not what is the best way to do it?

Mb5b is a transaction, and I need a function that can Calculate unrestricted stock on posting date.
Becaus the stock in posting date is only part of the information in the report.

I know MB5B works correctly, but I need a function because I want to use it in a Z report that calculates diferent thinks (one of them the stock on Posting date.

MB5B - Stock on posting date show in other Unit of measure

Dearl All,
Pls support me this case: I would like to see this report (MB5B - Stock on posting date) in other Unit of measure.
This report shows stock in Basic Unit only.
E.g
Material A, base unit = M, other unit = ROL
Report needs show stock in ROL.
How can I do that?

Hi,
In your case, order unit as ROL and material basic unit of measure is M.
PO created only for the order unit ROL, and goods have received from the vendor based on the PO order unit.
So,this MB5B stock on posting date is displayed only the total stock received based on the received GR order unit qty .
stock also managed only ROL unit of measues. it is not possible to list based on the M stock unit.

There is a posting date in MB5B !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole point of MB5B is to give you the stock on a posting date.
The field is called "Selection date".

MB5B stock on posting date

Hi experts,
For a material XX which was zero stock on 15/11/2008.Goods receipt(MIGO 101) done on 15/11/2008 of qty 100kg. So stock was 100kg. I have issued material XX of qty 75 kg to cost center and entered posting date 3/11/2008. My system allowing me to issue that material on 3/11/2008 without any warning or error msg. But at that there was no stock. So that if i check the report MB5B stock on posting date my closing stock showing in negative for 3/11/2008. Our requirement is how to stop this back dated posting? System should not allow me if i am posting on back date?

Restrict goods issue if stock on posting date is zero

Requirement:
Current Inventory period : July 2011
Stock of a material from 01.07.2011 to 30.07.2011 is zero(in MB5B report)
I upload stock of material or GRN occur on 31.07.2011. Say Quantity u2013 100
Now stock as on 31.07.2011 is 100 in MB5B
Still, Stock of a material from 01.07.2011 to 30.07.2011 is zero(in MB5B)
Now, If I do goods issue of a material quantity 100 on 15.07.2011. System allows goods issue. though opening and closing stock as on 15.07.2011 is zero.
After goods issue transaction if I check stock of material on any date between 16.07.2011 to 30.07.2011 , The opening stock and closing stock shows negative.
I want to restrict goods issue if stock on posting date is zero or less then stock available on posting date.
Please suggest

This is not the way SAP is designed. As the previous speakers wrote (and as you noticed yourself), SAP maintains stock figures in the database per month rather than per day. MB5B makes complex calculations in order to find out how much stock you had on a specific date - as you probably noticed on the response time. Performing such calculations every time you do a GI would be unfeasibly heavy task for the system - remember there are organisations that perform hundreds of inventory movements a minute!
An alternative solution I suppose would be to maintain the daily stock figures in the database. This would make the finding of the stock figure very quick, but on the other hand, the maintenance of such table would be unfeasible - if you post today a GI on say July 1st, you would need to calculate 36 stock figures and update 36 database records!
Hope this explains the technical issue.

Storage Location field in result.

what i think i sthis report is only for the OPENINGand CLOSING stock for the period or day
now whenu give SL field then system will only concider stock from that SL
the filed of SL will not be viewable in report as it is just opening and closing balance

MBLB is the transaction code to check vendor stock.

Hi,
I would suggest that you request a simple ABAP for this.
It is not as difficult to write as it would appear.
You know the current stock and you can get a list of the material documents that have updated that stock and so the program just needs to subtract the movements between now and the date that you want, to give you your report.
MB5B is the nearest standard report and this doesn't have vendor on the selection screen and so you will have to write something.

Stock in posting Date

we have done sum stocks close in year ending 2008, in that time we have tranasferd Stock from material to material, we have tranferd all the stocks from material A to Material B.
But theire is no stcoks in the MMBE for material A , for todays date , when we are going to check MB5B, on 31/03/2008, it is showing valuated stock, of sum quantity,
we have checked all the Material Stock Transaction, no where it is showing stock eccept in MB5B That to posting date on 31/03/2008.
so how to remove that stock on posting date(Valuated stock). only in MB5B.

For doing stock transfer , stock must be avalaible on current date and on the last day of the previous month, if u want to to do transfer postion on previous month's date.

Try the table MARD: Storage Location Data for Material, where in the field LABST will give the stock field, against a given material/plant/Storage Loc.

Like MB5B is there any t.code or table to see stock on posting date in Warehouse? (like in so and so bin and in that S.type)

You can use transaction LT22 to see all transfer orders to or from a storage type and storage bin.
In the section Reference you enter if it should be source or destination data that should be taken into account.
Don't forget to enter the date at the bottom of the screen.
