I'm a bit confused. In the Subject you want to know about calendar in forms 9i. In the body you want to know about calendar in forms 6i.
Using the "Search forum" function with the search terms "show calender 6i" I got 1500 answers. This (1500) seems to be the maximum number of results returned, so maybe there are more. If you in reality meant 9i, make a search yourself with the above search terms and substitute 6i with 9i.

Printer preview do not display the newest PO form

Hi experts,
I have encountered a problem in SRM EBP. When I changed a PO form's delivery address, and then print
the preview button, the pdf outputer do not display the newest PO form with the updated address, instead
with the old address. While if I wait for about 1 hour or just reenter the display po menu, the preview
displays the newest PO form. So my question is does it because the program which calls the smartforms
read data from cache? And when a smartform is used in a web application, can I just set some attributes

Thank you for your answer. I have debuged the calling form process, the actual situation is wired.
When I changed the ship-to-address on the web, the adrc is updated immediately. But the connection
between the po and the ship-to-address is not updated. So the output preview just do what it should do,
read data from the database then display it. My question is why when the adrc is updated, then
connection between the po and the ship-to-address is not updated immediately, and when is the exactly
time that the connection can be updated.

                   I got a requirement to display a calender in module pool. when user clicks on any date on the calender i need pick that particular date and i have to display that date with some other information.
I have displayed the calender using

             container1                  TYPE REF TO cl_gui_custom_container.
    CREATE OBJECT container1

Hi Nag,
You have to use DATE_SELECTED event. Register it (method SET_REGISTERED_EVENTS), assign an handler (SET HANDLER) in which you know which date has been selected.
You have to trigger the PAI/PBO so that you can change the list of possible values in the list boxes, so you should register (via method above) by setting APPL_EVENT = 'X'.

Internet Explorer7 cannot display the Webpage in forms 10.1.2.3

Hi all,
I have installed forms 10.1.2.0.2 to my laptop under Windows Vista Home Premium and followed the following steps :
1- changed virtual memory to (minimum of 2048 and maximum of 4096)
2- I updated forms 10.1.2.0.2 it to forms 10.1.3 using pathch 3 (patch ID 5983622)
3- I changed the application server Url in forms builder by choosing Edit, preferences, runtime and click on "Reset to default" button and added ?config=jpi at the end of the line.
when i run the form I got the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the Webpage"
when I called the link http://Computer_name:8889/forms/frmservlet?config=jpi
I got a message asking me to allow downloading java plug-in 1.4.2 ( which I know that it is not certified with Vista), So i refused downloading and updated the formsweb.cfg file as Steve Cosner said in his thread Vista Jinitiator problem
and added these new lines to the formsweb.cfg file:

then I got a message asking to allow loading and installing JRE 1.5.0_12 , and I allowed downloading and installation
After all of this, the form doesn't run and I get the same message "Internet Explorer cannot display the Webpage "
Is this a forms related problem or an Internet Explorer problem

Display the W-2 form in PDF in portal

Hi,
Has anyone ever had a request to display the W2 and 1099 forms online in the portal? I know there is an SAP standard service to request a W-2 reprint, but the client wants the end users to be able to select a year and then the W2 for that year is displayed for the person. It is not required to do W2C's.
Please advise if you have,

Regarding the displaying the PO smart form in english

Hi Experts,
The problem is that the user had created the vendor master data and specified KOREAN language. After that user created the Purchase Order and checked the print preview displays the PO in KOREAN Language.
User went back and changed the Vendor master data from KOREAN Language to ENGLISH Language. Even after that output of the form in KOREAN Language.
The one solution what i think is that ask the user recreate the purchase order once more and the problem will be solved.
Please let me know is there any other alternate way to display the smartform in english language even after changing it from KOREAN language to ENGLISH in Vendor Master Data.
The system is 4.7.

Display the records in forms when creating in a database

hi to all
i have a problem in forms, run in c\s using form6i..
How can i display the records when i create a records to database and automatically display in forms when i open the forms or when creating a records?
example:
in form#1 , this is where i create records, i create records =A it will insert in database .when i update record A. I change A to B..then form#2 will also change to B and appear or dispaly in forms.
in form#2, this has also a text item, when i open this form, it will appear the A records here, it will also update....
what should be the best trigger to used and how to do this? plzzz help

change to B and appear or dispaly in forms.Yours question is not clear to me , you didnt mention forms A and B contain the same underlying table or both have diffrent underlying table.
My assumption both have diffrent table if its the case then use MERGE DML (introduced within 9i) and get refreshed it by TIMER (execute_query) within forms B.
You need to clarify more what you wana achieve.

am done this but am unable to do that the time has to change for every second and minute.....means when the form is running (runtime) the time has to refresh like the our digital watch...

using java beans timer is better think so..

To get the Database date in a select statement use the SYSDATE pseudo in a select statement.

The program will have a selection screen with the parameter option for empid (Provide F4 help) and select option for Start Date and End Date (Provide the F4 functionality to the date fields.)
2.        When the user Executes the program, the program will do the following:

1. To implement the first part of your requirement , you can use the following code :
REPORT ZKUN_DATE1                              .
tables : ztable.
parameter : empid type ztable-empid.
select-options sdate for sy-datum.
Here i am assuming the table ztable contains the field empid.
2. After you execute the button , you should retrieve the dates for the various leaves from the database table as below :
select cas_leave Sick_leave opt_leave vac_leave pri_leave from ztable into table itab where empid = empid and sdate = sdate-low and edate = sdate-high.
Note : Ztable is assumed to be the database table containig the other fileds also .
Also ztable-sdate =Start date
ztable-edate = End date.
3. to display the data you can use the following code .
Loop at itab.
write the code tro display.
Endloop.
Here to display the various leaves as colored , you should use the option For coloring.
The synax for coloring is :
<b>FORMAT COLOR <n> [ON] INTENSIFIED [ON|OFF] INVERSE [ON|OFF].</b>
Note : When n = 3, the color is yellow.
Simlarly other values of n will give you different color.

Are we talking of HTTP?
If yes, you'll need to provide an appropriate content-type and use the binary output stream.
IE does not trust the content-type header but relies upon the file name, so set it too.

How the show parameter form for the report over the web by using an url ?

If this is a 'paper' report then =yes has always worked for me as long you have parameters declared in the report.
Description Use PARAMFORM to specify whether to display the Runtime Parameter
Form when you execute a report through CGI or a servlet. PARAMFORM is used only to
supply parameters to paper layout reports, not JSP-based Web reports.
Syntax PARAMFORM=YES|NO|HTML
Values
■ YES Display the Parameter Form.
■ NO Do not display the Parameter Form.
■ HTML Display the Parameter Form in HTML format.

Problem while closing IE which displays the PDF

Hi,
I have an application in which a PDF form is displayed through the portal on an IE instance.
The IE works fine until I open the pdf. Once I open the pdf im not able to close the IE. I have ti forcefully close it using the task manager.
If I try navigating to another view from that PDF view ( Same IE instance) , the IE closes automatically throwing the 'Microsoft error' message.
How do I avoid this??? What might be the problem?

I am not sure, please try these solutions.
1. Try to display the Adobe Interactive Form by adding the URL (of the Adobe Document Server) to the Trusted Sites of your MS Internet Explorer.
2. If you are experiencing problems opening pdf documents in IE,
then you need to disable compression for pdf documents
To disable the compression. please follow the steps :
1. start the Visual Administrator in <J2EE Home>/admin directory from the go script
2. In the Left pane :
   Click on the "Cluster" tab.
   Browse <System name> -> Server -> Services -> HTTP Provider
3. In the right pane
     - Make sure the "AlwaysCompressed" property does not contain any
     of the values
    *.pdf
    application/pdf
    - Make sure the "NeverCompressed" property contains both values
    *.pdf
    application/pdf
4. Click the save button on the top of the right pane. The new setting will have effect on all servers in the cluster.
configuration if you have made changes to the "AlwaysCompressed" or "NeverCompressed" properties.
In such case you will need to perform the described above configuration manually.
II. If you have been running custom code that relies on the pdf compression
then you will need to maintain the "AlwaysCompressed" or "NeverCompressed" properties back to their previous values ("AlwaysCompressed" including *.pdf and application/pdf and "NeverCompressed" excluding both entries) after upgrade but you may face problems with opening of pdf files in IE as a side effect.

Displaying the column values of a wizard-generated form

Hello,
I created a Master-Detail page following the examples in the various Apex guides. The form is not working correctly, unfortunately. When I click the Add Row button a row is added at the bottom of the table. Once I enter data into that row and click the Apply Changes button I get an SQL Insert error. I understand error message; a hidden column is not getting populated. Having said all that, that is not my problem.
My problem is understanding how APEX is storing the data it displays in the table so I can manipulate it to place a value into that hidden column.
I read many posts about how data is stored in the fxx arrays. I've looked at my source and have seen values like f02, f03, f03_0004 and so on. So, I tried creating a report to display the contents of APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03(1). I created another report on the same page with the following SQL statement:
SELECT 'Code: '||apex_application.g_f03(1) F1
FROM DUAL;
When I run the page, the second report shows this: ORA-06553: PLS-221: 'G_F03' is not a procedure or is undefined.
Someone (I think Denes) suggest creating a process with the following PL/SQL to help locate the correct array:

With that process in place, whenever I run the page I get an error that says ORA-01403: no data found. When I comment out the five lines that reference APEX_APPLICATION.G_Fxx the page runs, but I cannot see the remaining debug comments UNLESS I place the process to run before or after the Footer.
I hope that all makes sense.
So, what am I doing wrong about displaying the contents of the array that is storing the table?

You can't reference a package variable in a SQL statement like you do in:
SELECT 'Code: '||apex_application.g_f03(1) F1
FROM DUAL;
You can only reference it in a PL/SQL block (like you did in a Before/After Footer process). If you try to use the variables before they are instantiated you'll get the no-data-found error.

No standard message displayed in the new custom form

Hi All,
I developed a new custom form for FA module using Template.fmb. It is not showing any standard messages such as "Transaction complete: 1 records applied and saved". The records are getting saved. I even tried setting in when-new-form-instance ":SYSTEM.MESSAGE_LEVEL := 0" but that too didn't work out.
Please help on how to display the standard message. Please let me know if I am not clear with my question

Can you see if something in the code is overriding your message level?
Can you set the message level to 0 in the pre-commit trigger?
