Display Timestamp in BW in right time zone

Hi,
I have a problem with displaing timestamp in BW in rigth time zone. It displays in UTC not CET. What should I do? Some routine in BW? How should I do it?
Or maybe change value in extractor in exit? Do you have any idea how to do it?
Regards
Radek

please check your system settings. if you have access then you can change the same...
SPRO --> General Settings --> Maintain Time Zone --> Change Time Zone from drop-down list
it looks like your client settings are set on GMT (central european time). when you change the time zone it will ask for transport. please create one and transport it to other clients.
hope this helps...

• I would like to display two system clocks for different time zones

I would like to display a couple of time zones on my system clock. Can this be done? Like having my current location date and time and another showing the date and time for Madrid, Spain.
If this can't be done, how do I add clocks (or calendars) to my desktop?

In the widgets screen, click the + sign in the lower left. This should show you the widgets you have. World clock is the one your looking for and may not be on the first screen. There's an arrow on the far right side to slide to the next screen. When you find World Clock just click on it and it will add a clock. Click again and it adds another one on top of the first. Grab the clock anywhere on it's display and drag it to the desired location.

• Can't keep time in right time zone

No matter what I do I can't get my time to stay in EDT. The time wants to jump ahead 3 hours. I set it for Los Angeles time and it worked for awhile, showing the time correctly, but now it is back to 3 hours ahead. I have changed settings and tried everything.

nunz, I have a similar problem. yesterday after updating my itouch, the time was 2 hours fast even though the time zone was correct. I checked the time on my new, 2 day old laptop, and the time zone was set to Pacific {I'm in Central}. weird, considering that the time was correct on my laptop. since my son set up my new laptop while I was at work, I thought maybe he did something to it. I had never bothered to check the time zone since the time was correct.
so I set the time zone to central on my laptop, but then the time was off by 2 hrs.~! I manually changed the time, and it seems to be ok. but no matter what I tried with my itouch, the time wouldn't stay fixed even though the time zone was correct. I finally just set my time zone to pacific time on my itouch so it would show the correct time of day.

• How to reset the location of a Time Machine taken to a different time zone?

I have recently moved my Time machine to a different country and time zone. I have reset the whole thing, entered the right time zone in the manual set up, but it still displays the old location when automatically searching for time zone. Also, when using an iPod Touch and Google earth or Maps, it shows the old location as the current one. How do I reset the location on my Time Machine to match the current one?

+I had done that and it does show the correct time on my machine. My question however was about the location setting and it displays my former address and not the current one.+
There are only two settings on the Time Capsule related to location and time.
Open AirPort Utility, click Manual Setup
Click the Time Capsule tab below the row of icons and you will see time settings and time zone settings
Then click the Wireless tab and then click Wireless Network Options to see the settings for Country location.

• Wlse 2.7 and time zone

Hello
I don't find to option to set right time zone on the wlse gui. Is there an option to do that or do I have to do that with the cli?
any help welcome

You need to set the local time using the WLSE Web GUI under Administration->Appliance->Time/NTP/Webtimeout screen. Here you can also point it to a NTP server so that the time gets sync'ed automatically. There is no setting for Time Zone though.
Current local (browser) time appears in most WLSE displays. Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) is the system time and appears in log files.
To set the time that appears in the Web interface, use the above procedure. Because there is a single system clock, setting the time above also updates the UTC time.

• ICal time zone problems in Leopard

I cannot get ICal to display events in my current computer time zone (Chicago). Does not matter if time zone support is on or off, it always displays events two hrs behind me (Pacific time). If I change my computer time zone, ICal adjusts accordingly. Any suggestions?

Have the same with a German timezone. Both computers are in German time, published calendar is in US time. Looks like the calendar that you access online is using the US server time as reference.

• About time zone in Nokia n72

I have Nokia N72. My clock is set to GMT 0.00. But actually i am in timezone GMT + 5.30. and i have no idea how to change it in Nokia N72. I even tried putting "synching time with operator" option on. But then also it is not changing. Is there anyway i can put mobile on the right time Zone ?

he is very right,it's exactly the solution:
if you dont follow the following steps, you will never be able to set my current city in your Nokia N72:
(in my case,I bought N72 in Beijing China and I live in Beijing, but it shows my current time zone is in Abu Dhabi in the phone,so I need to set My Current Time from Abu Dhabi to Beijing)
Step 1:
Menu----Clock---Options----Settings----Auto time update(set to off if it's on)----restart your N72(no need if it's already off)
Step 2:
after restart
Menu---Clock---scroll to right(use the navigation button in the middle),you can see world times---delete all cities(select options and then select remove)---after it's empty, then select options again, then Add city, select Beijing----dont move, select option again, now you can see "My Current City",select it,then a window pop up"Change phone time to match local time in selected city?"---select Yes---done!
At last dont forget to set Auto Time update back to on.

• Where did the time zone selection go when making an event in Calendar?

So in iOS5 and iOS6 there was an option to select the time zone the event was going to be in when creating it in the Calendar app.
Now in iOS7 it appears it is no longer there unless you turn time zone support ON.
I want to be able to have time zone support OFF like I had in iOS5 and 6 and still have the time zone selection option when creating events.
I'm at a loss for why this option was removed. Is there any way to get this back? My coworkers are having issues creating meeting events when out on the road and figuring out the right time zone +/- when moving between time zones.

You can middle-click a tab with the mouse scroll wheel to close that tab.
Did you try Save mode to be sure that it is not caused by an extension or theme?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

• My iPhone automaticly detects a new time zone, but updates the time wrong.

The time back home is 22.00, and the time here is 20.00. It detects the right time zone when I check in the settings, but my iPhone and iPad, my boyfriends iPhone and iPad all show 21.00 as the time. I have tried reseting it, but doesnt help. Any suggestions?

Do you have the iPhone set to adjust the Date & Time automatically in Settings > General > Date & Time? If you do and it's wrong, you'll want to contact your carrier because the automatic time is provided by them.

• Automatic Time Zone Settings won't work on my Macbook Pro OSX 10.6.7

In Settings, Date & Time, when I attempted to select "Set time zone automatically using your current location", my Macbook Pro attempetd to find location, and after a while it end up with a dialog read "Unable to determine current location at this time"
I have to disable this feature and use manual selection of my time zone (Indochina Time, Bangkok, Thailand)
Anyone here have recommendation to make this one work properly?
\My location service is enabled on y system!
help please

I got that problem for several months and used to update my location manually. Today, I got lucky. Try this:
In Security System Preference pane, General tab, make sure the "Disable Location Services" is unchecked. Then Reset Warnings. Click OK to allow the service to ask you to use your location every times it'll need it. Now I got the right time zone. Finally!

• The time on my firefox browser is not correct. How do I set the time zone for Firefox? It is not the same as my mac computer setting?

I am using a hotmail acount with bigpond. The time that it says I sent an email is out by 11 hours... can you please tell me how to set my firefox browser to be at the right time? My mac is set at the right time zone...

I was able to do what you suggested, and the time listed in the code field was correct. However, when I sent a test email to myself on the bigpond site, it said it was received at 8:04am when it was actually 18:04. So there is an error of more than half a day. I have a snapshot of the screen if that is helpful. I asked Bigpond about this and they said it was a Firefox problem... Please advise.

• Getting the time zone support right

When I take an international trip I can never seem to get this right, and calendar events go slip-sliding all over the place.
I have tried by time zone support on and off, but still previous events seem to get displayed wrong no matter what I do.
Currently I'm in Tokyo. Next Friday I'm going to St. Louis for a couple of months. I have a customer call on June 6th at 10 am central time. I just added it to my calendar by entering "Call with Coaches on June 6 at 10 am CDT" (see screenshot) and it created this event which correctly shows it taking place on June 7th Japan time. And I added a note about the actual time just in case.
So how should I have it set so when I am in St. Louis it shows up as June 6 at 10 am?
And what will happen with all my other events where I typically don't specify a time zone?
Thanks,
Doug

Hey Doug Lerner2,
Thanks for the question and superb details. I can understand how confusing Time Zone support can sometimes be. In my experience, everything is going to relate back to the main Time Zone Support drop down menu at the top left of the Calendar. This is the easiest way to quickly switch the Time Zone you are viewing.
Once you travel to St. Louis, simply switch the time zone of your calendar (if it had not automatically switched) to see all of your events in the local time zone (including events that don’t specify a time zone). So if you had your event set for June 6th at 10am CST, once you switch the Time Zone to central time you’ll see that that event is displayed correctly. All of your events that were created in Japan will move to their respective times, and you can also have “Floating” events that will ignore the time zone, and always be at that set time.

• Displaying the right time on imessage

Why imessage, facetime and skype displays wrong time on my mac, while on my iphone and my ipad it's the right time? Can anyone help please.

Almost certainly the Time, *Time Zone* and/or *Daylight Savings* settings +in the phone+ are incorrect for your location.
First set the Time Zone and Daylight Savings for your location, then adjust the Time if necessary. Finally, re-sync the phone.

• ICal events are displayed in the local time zone, not at the time they are supposed to be

When I enter events in iCal (or in my iPhone calendar), they always display at the time for the zone that I am currently in, even when they occur in a different time zone. For example, if I have a lunch scheduled at 12 pm Monday in Vancouver, I want to see that I have something scheduled at 12 pm on Monday, even if I am in Hong Kong. But even if I have time zone support enabled, the event appears at 4 am Tuesday. This makes it hard to look at the calendar and know what events I have scheduled for what times when I am doing a lot of travel. Is there anyway that I can get the event to show up at 12 pm on Monday no matter where I am in the world?
Thanks

This means you're still using Flex 1.5 as your runtime. SAP has introduced Flex 2 RT on SP14 patch 1 onwards. There were a lot of bug fixes and also several new functionality introduced there. I suggest you consider upgrading to the latest SP. Note that you can upgrade VC apart from the portal (only 3 SCAs to deploy) so this means you don't impact the portal itself and continue to have an up-to-date version of VC.
If you want to solve your problem, I suggest you open a support ticket at SAP and once they see this, they'll let you have those SCAs.
