Display top,middile,bottom in prompt selection

Hi All,
i have one requirement like
I created a prompt values like top,middile,bottom
When I select top I want to display top 10 rows
if I select bottom display bottom 31st row to last row rows
and when I select middile display between 11th row to 30th row
I have total 30 rows in a column
i want case stement for the above requirement
can you please help on this issue

Okay, OP, assuming you really have more than 30 rows, here is a way to look at your data in a very simple format:
1) Create a Pivot Table in the usual manner with all your attributes, facts, etc.
2) In the design mode of the Request, select another column from the Selection Pane (it doesn’t matter which because the column will be a “dummy.”) Call the column "Pagination."
3) Click on the Edit Formula icon. Type the following SQL:
CASE WHEN RCOUNT(1) <11 THEN ‘1-10’
WHEN RCOUNT(1) <31 THEN ’11-30
WHEN RCOUNT(1) >30THEN ’31 - END'
END
4) Put the Pagination column in the Page section of the Pivot Table.
Now your report is divided into the 3 sections. If you want, you could break the report into more sections and if you insist on calling the sections "Top," "Middle," and "Bottom," you can replace the labels above with those words.
You don't even need a dashboard prompt at all!

I need to show the only the columns as per the prompt selection given by the user.
Suppose there are 5 prompts say (first name, last name, phone number, address, DOJ). All the prompts should be optional. If the user gave input for first name and last name then only this two columns must be displayed in the report.

Yes it is possible but you will have to write down formulas for these columns.
First add all required object in your report and format them in your report.
Now say you want Last name to appear when you user enters last name in prompt.
Write down following formula
Report Detail Area
=If(UserResponse("Last Name"))="USER INPUT" Then [LNAME]
For column Heading you can use
=If(UserResponse("Last Name"))="USER INPUT" Then "Column Heading"
The same pattern may be applied for other columns.

Apple LED Display top and bottom

Hello, is it normal for the display to be brighter at the top of the screen vs the bottom half? I've noticed that it's slightly more "dark yellow" at the bottom than at the top. Thanks!

Ahhh, that must be it. I can't connect it to my Mac Pro, since it's not long enough. Waiting on my extension to arrive on Friday. Once I connect the USB, does it work with F1/F2 keys or only in Display settings? Thanks!!!

My iPhone 5 only display the apple screen with text on the top (like a command prompt). Has anyone else seen this???

I was checking my mail and suddenly i get the apple screen with text on the top (like a command prompt). It won't receive phone calls and it doesn't respond to anything. Try a reboot by holding both the power and ome buttons until the apple logo appears. If that does not bring it back, take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians test it.

Button Top and Bottom - one displays other not

I created a report region and added a button to it:
Create a button in a region position
Button name: SUBMIT
Label: Submit
Button Type: Image
Image Name: #COMPANY_IMAGES#lisa.gif
Position: Top and Bottom of region
Then I viewed the page - the top image displays correctly, but the bottom one doesn't. So viewing page source I saw, that Top image src attribute is

whereas the Bottom image had src of

Looks like a bug to me :-/

JAN
FEB
DEC
and i have 12 columns from month1 to month 12(jan to dec)
when i select august from prompt i need to display 4 month previous of august
so my result should be
apr,may,jun,jul and august
if i select february then my result should be
jan and feb
basically i need to hide columns based on prompt selection
can i know how to do this

I think you have to go for Data level Security in this case.
You have to set that Session variable in the Group/User Permissions tab so that the Group members can see only those regions data only, even if they go for a
search.
Otherwise there is nothing to restrict the user in all the directions.
You have to apply that filter on all the tables in that Subject area.

Set top and bottom inset spacing values in Text Frame Options via jsx script

I am looking for a way to set the top and bottom inset spacing values only to 2 points in Text Frame Options via a .jsx scrpt.
For years, I have used a script that sets Preferences, such as:

IMovie is outputting my movie with big black bars at top and bottom that I don't want

So, let me try and explain...
I have recorded gameplay footage of my game directly from my Mac screen using Quicktime's Record Screen option. I've tried recording both in fullscreen mode (with my game also running in fullscreen mode) and a section of the screen by dragging the mouse to select a 640X960 box (with my game running in windowed mode which is displayed at 640x960 resolution).
This initial recording direct from the screen displays fine, both when I view it in windowed mode and when I view it fullscreen, with the height of the game stretching to the full height of the video area but obviously with big black borders to either side in fullscreen mode (as it's basically iPhone ratio in portrait mode).

The problem is when I try to import the movie into iMovie, mess around with some fade-ins and music and stuff and then output the edited movie via iMovie...
When I then try to view this outputted movie in windowed mode on certain sites (Kickstarter) my game footage doesn't take up the full height of the video and instead floats in the middle with big black bars at the top and bottom, which I don't want. It's fine when I go fullscreen but the problem is that when I load this video into Kickstarter it shows the non-fullscreen view of the video with this big black border and it looks really amateur.
This is what Kickstarter shows in windowed mode i.e. the way you see Kickstarter videos by default when you press Play; unless I go fullscreen and then it takes up the full heigh of the view.
Note: Windowed mode actually looks fine when viewed directly on my Mac but I know it's not Kickstarter that is causing the issue because I can see in the thumbnail preview on my Mac that the video is somehow encoded with the big black bars at the top and bottom. Also, I uploaded the unedited videos to Kickstarter just to check and they display fine. So it's definitely iMovie that is adding these annoying black borders at the top and bottom for whatever reason (and I'm not intentionally scaling the video down in iMove or anything like that as far as I know). I also can't use the unedited footage however because it has no sound and no transitions etc.
Does anyone know what night be causing this and how to get rid of it.

You are lucky to see anything - iMovie 5 is not really compatible with Snow Leopard, which only supports iMovie 6 and above.
Snow Leopard only runs on Intel Macs. iMovie 5 was never written, AFAIK, for Intel, just for the PPC Macs they had in those old days!

Display top 10 highest values

Hi All,
Please help me on how to achieve this.
I have a report and a db prompt in my dashboard. Based on the prompt selected and given the GO button, the report gets filtered accordingly.
Now what i want is , I wanted to filter only the Top 10 values of a particular column in my report when the prompt is given go button.
For ex, say there is a report with Name, EMp No, Hours Booked and a prompt with dept column.
When a particular dept is selected from the prompt and given go, the report should display only top highest 10 values of the Hours Booked corresponding to that particular dept and not display everything.
How can i achieve this?

Use the TOPN or rank functions.
TOPN (n_expression, n)
n_expression is any expression that evaluates to a numerical value.
The N of TopN which is any positive integer. It Represents the top number of rankings displayed in the result set, 1 being the highest rank.
ex:- GO-->your column and click fx--->use this function -- TOPN("Hours Booked", 10)

My task bar top and bottom aren't showing?

I was watching movies through my itunes last night and now my screen saver and the bar on top and bottom of my screen saver page aren't showing, just a black screen. And, also when I try to reply to an email in my Mail, the response shows up behind my mail page, so I don't actually know it has responded until I clear my Mail screen away. Usually, when I do an email response it shows up on the original email?

How to crop a QuickTime movie to delete black top and bottom areas?

How to crop a QuickTime movie? I mean, a ".mov" movie that shows a black area on top and bottom, which I want to delete.
I have tried with iMovie 8.0.5, yet its "Window - Cropping..." to fit, crop and Ken burns does not allow to select the area that I want, which is extra wide.

How to crop a QuickTime movie? I mean, a ".mov" movie that shows a black area on top and bottom, which I want to delete.
Basically, you have two options. 1) You can use an application like MPEG Streamclip (free) which allows you to reset the top/bottom/left/right screen edges (i.e., crop the active viewing area) and then re-compress the remaining content as a new file (as recommended by QTKirk) or 2) if you have QT Pro, you can simply "mask" the player display which crops the display screen to the desired mask dimension and location within the original area. The advantage of the latter work flow is not having to re-compress the file which can be very time consuming. Since the latter method may seem confusing to some, I have prepared a "quickie" tutorial which may be able to "talk" you through the process:

I plugged my macbook pro into an external monitor, then unplugged it later and now it is stuck with black borders on top and bottom and zoomed out like it is still on the monitor. How do I fix it?

I started using my external monitor with my macbook pro and as soon as I plug it in it to the monitor it adjusts the screen by zooming out a bit and creating about 3/4 of an inch black borders on the top and bottom of the screen. But these dont show up on the monitor so I assumed it was fine. But when I took it off the monitor, the borders were still there like it was still on the monitor. Any hellp? Its starting to mess with my eyes haha.

It sounds like you had the external display set to mirror the internal display so the resolution(s) were changed to match each other.

Can you trim top and bottom black from videos?

Hi
I have a project where I need to make all my video clips the same height.
Some of the clips are in widescreen, and I'd like to trim the black from the top and bottom so that I maximise the height of the footage.
Can this be done in elements, and if not, are there any programs that you can do that in?

Glad that you found it. I use it constantly, as I often animate my Titles with Keyframed Effects, and will just Copy/Paste Attributes to all. Same for Effects that are common to multiple Video (or Audio) Clips.
One caveat: when planning on use it, do one Clip with the complete Effects line-up, then Copy. Select all other Clips that you wish to Paste Attributes to. If you have already added some Effects, beyond the Fixed Effects, you will get multiple instances of that/those Effect(s), i.e. if you have already added Color Correction to the destination Clips, an have Color Correction in your source Clip, you will likely get 2 instances of Color Correction. Plan ahead, so that you do not have to go back and Delete any duplicated Effects.
