Display Totol Stock & Open Order Quantity for line item while creating SO
Dear Experts,
We have requiremet that while creating SO (VA01) for each item it sould show the message (Popup Screen) about Total Stock & Total Open Oder quantity for that material when user enters the material, plant & storage location in line item.
Please let me know your ideas in detail if anyone knows about this....

It is a standard if you create sale order, whatever stock is available in MMBE, it will show during availability check but additionally if you want to see open orders, then you have to go for additional enhancement.

Open Order Quantity for open sales orders
Is there a standard SAP Report that gives the open order quantity for every open sales order. "Open" is defined as any order quantity that has not shipped. Delivery creation is not the same as shipment. VA05 Report does not contain enough information to calculate the open order quantity for an ERP-based backlog report.
Try VA05 schedule lines standar variant...include status fields and both ordered qty and confirmed qty. In SAP standard system order status, status A means open orders fully (Nothing shipped, everything opened). Status B means in process orders (Partially processed - shipped). Status C means complete orders (Nothing opened). As there is no delivered qty in VA05, you need to download to excel the file and calculate the difference between both qty fields for each A and B status. That is a way to get the missing qty to be delivered or open qty as you stated.

Table and Field for Open Order Quantity for a Customer and Material
Hi
I created two sales orders 3 and 5 quantities, and delivered 1 qty in the second order.
when I checked the table VBBE or VA05, I am able to see 3 and 4 qantities open.
but I want to see the total 7 as open order qty, i.e, 3+4=7
because both the orders are placed by the same customer and same material
can u please tell me in which table exactly the total open order quantity for a customer and total open order quantity for a material is stored

U can get the information in VA05 as there are columns like confirmed quantity and order quantty and status. U can use summation button (add upto values) to get required information.

Hi Gurus,
I have a typical requirement for development of 1 function module and below are the details for it:
I want to have the open order quantity for materials by entering ship-to-party and sales organisation.
Can i get list of all the materials when are open with the quantity of that materials which are yet to be delivered. And I have only ship-to-party and sales organisation as input parameter.
I would prefer if standard function module is available or I would also like to have some code or logic to ful fill the above requirement.

I specifically want the Function module and in VA05 i do not getting the actual open order quantity for material.
Eample: If i do partial delivery then VA05 shows the total order quantity and not actual open quantity. So could let me know how I get the above detial.

Displaying Total Stoc & Open Order Quantity while creating SO
Dear Experts,
we have requiremet that while creating SO (VA01) for each item it sould show the message (Popup Screen) about Total Stock & Total Open Oder quantity for that material when user enters the material, plant & storage location in line item.
Please let me know your ideas in detail if anyone knows about this....

You can use userexit USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP in include MV45AFZZ. This user exit is executed every time the user enters item data and hits return. The VBAP data is available in structure xvbap.
xvbap-kwmeng contains the ordered qty. for that item
xvbap-kbmeng contains the confirmed qty. for that item
I am not so sure in regard of the available stock qty. because it depends on your stock set up (e.g. batch stock, etc.) but you should be able to figure that out.
Just check, if the required xvbap fields are populated and then raise the popup which displays the information to the user.

Open order quantity for mrp run

for x material i was made a subcontracting PO
ORDER uantity was say 2000
deliverd quantity was 1500
rest of the 500 nos tobe deliverad on 30th agust
ie, OPEN ORDER QATNTIY OF 500 NOS WHITH delivery date
on 30th agust.
for the same materail there was an dependent requirement of say 1500 in the month of MAY2008
while MRP RUN for the dependent reqirement of 1500
i got a purchase requistion of 1000nos
and for the 500 nos saytem taken fron the purchase order
which was made as subcontracting
and throughs an expetion message which says needs the rescheduling
my requirement here is it should not consider the open order quantity which was there for sub contracting
it sholud create purchase requirement of 2000nos

Hi Gurus,
I have a typical requirement for development of 1 function module and below are the details for it:
I want to have the open order quantity (pending for delivery & PGI) for materials by entering sold-to-party, ship-to-party and sales organisation.
Can i get list of all the materials when are open with the quantity of that materials which are yet to be delivered. And I have only ship-to-party and sales organisation as input parameter.
I would prefer if standard function module is available or I would also like to have some code or logic to ful fill the above requirement. And also I would like to inform you that I have check VA05 transaction and it is not useful to me as it does not take into consideration partial delivery. I have also check backorder list transaction V_05 and it is not useful too.

I wrote the following query to get the first version of the Sales order Line which shows the original Order Quantity , this query is very slow, it complete in 1 minute and 20 seconds for one Item.

Too Many Line Items While Creating a PO
Dear All,
Here we have a scenario:
We are creating a PO which is having around 10000(ten thousand) line items, and while saving system is showing error message "Too Many PO Line Items" Message No: FI899. and not able to save it.
Kindly Let me know is there any limit for line item creation in a PO.

Ravi BLimitations are limitations, you need a workaround or pay SAP for an extra developement. Probably worth, if you have such POs everyday.
( I cannot even imagine for what reason a PO should have more than 10000 items. Manual maintenance is impossible, the person would sit for a week and more to finish one PO. the CSR at your vendor is as well not able to put the items from your PO into their Sales order within a reasonable time frame - order entry should be ready before delivery date is arrived.
This sounds like you want buy a company and want create just one purchase order to buy any single material they have on stock. But for that purpose the PO is certainly not designed.
Can you give more background that makes my mind open ? ) -
Open order quantity for "PurRqs" and Purchase Order"

In one of my report I have to display the "Open Quantity" for 'PurRqs' I am using logic as follows:
Input the "Pur Req" and its "Item Number" in table EBAN in the fields EBAN- BANFN and EBAN- BNFPO and fetch the value of fields EBAN- MENGE and EBAN- BSMNG. Do the subtraction EBAN- MENGE minus EBAN- BSMNG and consider the value after subtraction as open quantity.
But in display 'Purchase' order in the tab "Quantities/Dates, there is field with "Open Quantity", my question is if this "Open Quantity" update in any table-fields? or is ther any 'Functional Module" to get this 'open quantity' directly? so that I can avoid the logic of subtraction.
Same question is for "Purchase Order", is ther any table-field or 'functional moduel' where I can get open PO quantity insteed of using tanle EKET and fields MENGE/WEMNGHi
What ever logic you are useing is right and go ahead with this and the same logic is for also Scheduling agreement. -
Purchase Order Authorazation for line item
Hi All,
i have to restrict user to see PO line item ,whose PR not created by them.
means suppose there are 5 line item for one PO created from 5 different PR.
4 PR created by user X and 1 PR created by user Y.
So i dont want to display PO 4 line item for user Y and 1 for X user.
I tried to do with ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST badi .but it didnt work.

Problem in uploading multiple line items while Creating sales order by BAPI

Add New Line item while creating a new PO in ME21N
Hi All,
I have a requirement to add a new line item when user is pressing enter on the Line item 1 based on some condition.
I am using the BADI 'ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST' and Method is 'PROCESS_ITEM'.
I have tried lots of options and also look for method 'Create_Item ' but not able to understand what exactly I need to pass in that method.
Can somebody elaborate on it if somebody has work on it? Even sample code will also help me.

Hi Fellas
I had a situation where I am creating ARE-3 document w.r.f excise doc where more than 25 line items are there.
I want to capture CT1/CT2 license on header level means not on material codes.
(Client receives CT1 lincese mentioning like (HT angle) value is 10000 where in excise inv items is like HTangle 14X20, HTangle 15X15etc. So SAP will allows license to capature on material level only).
Now while creating ARE-3 w.r.f excise inv SAP will ask for license no for each items of excise inv where my requirement is to mentained it only once (means license have to be captured on header level for ex HT angle. so that it will cover all the line items of exc inv).
Please suggest me possible solution in SAP either its development or some alternative is there.
