Display Turns Pink

Yesterday for no apparent reason when I logged back into Yosemite after my computer went to sleep, everything turned pink. I am not the only one to have this problem. It has been observed in Mavericks as far back as July of this year. Though I am happy it is not an issue with my monitor I would still like to correct this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It sounds like your monitor is taking on a pink hue when waking from sleep. I would use these steps from the following article, named:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays - Apple Support
Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
Restart your computer.

I have several issues here:
1) My eMac display turned purple/pink from the start
2) It won't start from either HD or CD. It gets to the grey Apple and the spinning wheel.. After a while of spinning, it freezes and nothing else I can do. This happens on booting from HD and CD.

try unplugging the cord for an hour or so. unplug it completely, from where it goes into the machine as well as the outlet. if that doesn't work, you could also try a pmu reset. instructions are found in part 6 of this article. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=34885 let me know if that makes any difference.

Lenovo Edge 15 - PROBLEM - Screen flickers and turns pink!

I've had the Lenovo Edge 15 for three months and the display/screen is starting to flicker and turns pink, particularly after sleep mode. the monitor of my laptop has turned pink. I can see the pages and videos and everything but not in the normal resolution, its as if there is a transparent pink curtain is placed on the monitor. i hav recently put a new 1tb HD while previously it was installed with 500gb HD, which crashed, so the replacement was done. has this by any chance affected the display?

I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion g6-2226tu Notebook and issues with the pink screen displaying after a HDD repair. Here is a link to a document that will help you troubleshoot the image on screen flickers, has lines or distorted colors. Have you connected a monitor to the Notebook to check if it happens there as well?If this does not display on the Monitor it could be a connection issue with the LCD screen. Screen turning pink during graphic intensive apps

Recently my 2011 MacBook Pro has been acting up. Sometimes when Im using it the white of the screen will turn pink and fuzzy, but still operate like normal. Today I realized that this only happens when Im using an application that depends on graphics, like photoshop, iphoto and the like. After running a hardware test all I got back was that a sensor has gone bad. Any tips? Im deciding if it might be easier just to outright buy a new system. Thank you!

Yoga display turns off after 1 minute

I'm having an annoying problem with my new Yoga related to the display and have not seen any other posts with a similar complaint so perhaps this is a simple fix that I'm just not able to sort out on my own. My display turns off after 1 minute of inactivity. The only means for changing behavior like this that I am aware of is through the Control Panel Power Options. My settings for "turn off the display" are 10 minutes on battery and Never while plugged in (note screen shot attached). Regardless of my settings, the screen turns off after 1 minute. I've changed the settings to multiple configurations and restarted with no change in behavior. Perhaps there's some other settings area, maybe something specific to Lenovo that I'm not aware of (since this is my first Lenovo laptop). Anyone with similar problems or insight?

This may be a Windows 8 issue. I finally fixed this problem by identifying the screen saver as the issue (and I wasn't using a screen saver). Type "lock the computer" into the search box after clicking the search charm, which brings up the screen saver dialog box. Mine was set to 1 minute, though I'd never set it myself. If you can't change it, choose a screen saver and you should be able to do so (and can then switch back to no screen saver). BUT, here's the problem. Other things you install (or settings within things you install) can apparently change and override whatever you type in for the delay time. Try applying your new time and exiting from the dialog box, then open it back up again. I was finding that it kept going back to 1 minute. To reset things so that you can get control again, type "user accounts" into the search box and when the dialog box comes up, choose "Reset Security Policies". Then you can go back to the screen saver dialog and successfully change the delay time. Display turns "dark" after 1 minute

Hi, first of all forgive my english
I have a an unpleasent problem with my display, it turns dark after 1 minute of no using it.
I have a Satellite, Windows 8, and Toshiba Eco utility. I have tried to change the time when the display turns dark or when the computer shut down in a lot of opportunities in the "Power options" item, i even tried to make my own plan of energy, but nothing works :/ My display still turns dark after 1 minute.
I really need to make it last longer on! D: it's driving crazy

Satellite A300-202 - External display turned a strange color

Hi,
I have a Satellite A300-202 with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650, and after upgrade from vista to windows 7, my external display turned a strange color, seemed to lose the red color. Never show the white color, in which should show the white color shows the color blue.
I have uninstalled and installed again the graphic card drivers and update the new drivers but dont solved this trouble. My external monitor it's ok because I have tried with other laptop and don't have this trouble. I have also tried my laptop with other monitor and have the same trouble.
Anybody ever had this problem, someone who can help me?

Yes I have problems only with the external monitor.
I tried both. Now I have the new beta version to the windows 7 64bits, downloaded from the amd/ati site, but I have tried also with the version available in the toshiba drivers page to my A300-202, and had the same problem.
Yes I have installed the new version of the BIOS too.

W520 - now changes to "projector only" whenever display turns off in power save mode

I have my W520 in a dock with an external monitor. The display is configured to Extend - the external monitor is primary, and the desktop extends onto the W520 screen. I don't have a screen saver. I turn off the display after 30 minutes of inactivity. Until recently both the laptop and monitor screens would turn off after 30 minutes, and then both resume when I moved the mouse or pressed a key.
Recently, the system has started changing to "Projector Only" when the display turns off. After resuming from power save mode, only the external monitor activates, and the W520 screen is disabled. I have to use Fn-F6 to switch back to "Extend" to re-activate the laptop screen.
I have rebooted and re-saved the power plan.
Why has this happened, and how do I fix it?

1) What is your machine type and model? You can find this information on the bottom of your machine. It should be in format XXXX-XXX.
2) What is your operating system?
3) Does this issue occur is the computer is not in the docking station? (Please try if you haven't already).

When did you get this firmware version? My TBD is at 22.2 and the TBD bus is at 23.4. I thought I had the latest firmware.

If your iPhone display turned black and white after holding down the Home button for 2 seconds, first try pressing the Home button again to go to the main menu (Home screen.)
For reference, holding down the Home button for 2 seconds will trigger Siri if that feature is enabled:

Apple TV turns Pink via HDMI?

Hey all, I just installed AppleTV for in a client's home theatre. He's using a Denon AVR-3808ci which has a plethora of HD sources going into it and everything works well. Last week I installed AppleTV via HDMI and after about an hour of usage, the main menu screen turned pink? We changed sources on his amp, then flipped back to AppleTV and it was gone, until 10 minutes later, he went to youtube, then came back to the main screen and it was pink again.
I swapped out the HDMI cable, which is a high quality 1.3 rated cable by the way, and it went away but came back again when he changed sources on the amp? Has anyone experienced this? I searched the forum for similar issues and saw one "green screen of death" thread so I was curious is anyone else experiencing this HDMI video sync issue? Thanks for reading.

Mine is a bit more conditional than yours but I have seen this happen.
I have a Vizio 60" Plasma Which I connect a variety of sources to. Problem with it is, the remote does not have discrete selection to the 4 HMDI ports. You can only select them with the HDMI button and scroll until you get to the correct port. I use a Harmony Universal Remote and this just was not working for me.
Anyway, to solve this I purchased an HDMI 5 port switch. I have an Xbox 360, PS3, Upscaling DVD Player, HD Cable Tuner, and the Apple TV connected to it.
It is not uncommon, and almost near consistent that when I switch to the ATV from another source, the first few seconds will show a pink screen. It will then clear and be fine for the rest of the time.
I had this same issue when I had a Media Center PC outputting a DVI signal converted to HDMI. This was consistently happening and I finally disconnected it because of this.
My advice would be to first try directly connecting the ATV to the tv/monitor and seeing if you get the same problem. If not, you can almost be sure the problem is with the Denon receiver and not with the ATV. In my experience with HDMI, problems like these are almost always a product of the switch.

17" studio display turns black

Hello,
My 17" Studio Display turns black after I change my display-resolution.
It wont change when I restart the computer.
I can only startup in the save mode(holding the shift key at startup).
It had problems before when I tried to start a game(zoo tycoon).
The display whent also black, but restored after a forced restart.
Does anybody know some advice?

You sound as though you have a similar problem that I am experiencing. I also have a Studio Display (Graphite Clear)
I was trying to connect my powerbook to a second display which is my old graphite CRT model. After hours trying to resolve the same problem, with my powerbook giving every indication that it was connected and operational, but I was still not getting an image on the CRT screen.
Eventually I discovered one small footnote on a Cinema Display help forum which said that the ADC to DVI adapter is not compatible with CRT monitors.
No mention of this is made anywhere on the ADC DVI adapter spec.
