Display value in text element in screen painter

Hi,
I have created new sreen. I have I/O field and text field. My i/o field is zcust of data element kunnr. After I run transaction and when I chose value in this field (for example customer 123456) I want to be displayed customer name in text field. Customer name is value kna1-name1.
How can i do this?

In the PAI of the screen use the field statement.
field zcust module cust_name.
in the program write the below code to populate the customer name.
MODULE cust_name INPUT.
select single name1 from kna1 into CUST_TEXT
where kunnr eq zcust.

I am using a Variable, for which I am suppose to select more than 15 values . After executing the report, I am trying look for these values using Layout--> Display Text Elements --> All.
Only first 10-11 values are shown and the rest are shown as ...
As such, I cannot see all the values in WAD too, in the info tab.
Is there any limitations to display the values with text elements ?

You are right. I can do this if I select Filter values.
But, I am trying to show the values entered for the variables using Layout-->Display Text elements --. Alll or variables.
These are the values shown in the web template. The filter values goes to the data analysis tab, which are fine.
I want to display all the values in the information tab, but only few values are show and rest are shown as ... The same is the case when I select Layout-->Display Text elements --> All or variables. after I execute the query.

Status gui, text elements and screens in Abap in Eclipse

Hello everybody,
Today i start using AiE, but i see that i can't create status gui, text elements and screens, the only method to achieve this is open sap gui (from eclipse) and create this directly there. I don't know if i am doing something wrong but i can't see how to create this objects in eclipse.
Is SAP working to implement this options directly in Eclipse without having to go to sap gui?, if that's right, when are we going to see this options directly in eclipse?.

you are right, some development objects are currently only supported in AiE using the SAP GUI integration. However, with each release more and more features become available. For example, editing message classes was added in a recent release. The best way to keep up-to-date with the features of AiE is to follow the AiE space on SDN (ABAP in Eclipse).
On thing to keep in mind is, that the availability of some features depends on the version of the backend system. Thomas Fiedler created a blog that contains the information which features are available with which backend version: ADT Feature Availability Matrix for AS ABAP Releases.

To get Drop Drown Box on screen .
Follow these steps.
1.
Go to T.Code SE51 and Select Laypout for the Screen.
2.
Double click on the field for which u want Dropdown box.
3.
Then U will see Name ,Text ,DROPDOWN.Click on that and select List Box or ListBox with key . Better to to select first one.
4.
Save and Activate ur screen .
5.
Enter the following piece of code in the PBO of the screen.(Change for ur requirement).

create input field for DATE and TIME on screen.ex. DATE1 and TIME1 are screen field names .
2.
Just assign SY-DATUM to DATE1 and SY-UZEIT to TIME1 under PROCESS BEFORE EVENT.
3.How to create text box for giving comments?
1.
Define one variable in the TOP include with type STRING means Global variable.
2.
Create one input field by giving screen field name which u have defined in the above step.
4.How to store the records that we are entering in a table?
For this case.. Create one table control. you can select one record and create record in the Z table by pressing button on Application toolbar..
Check the following steps to handle Table control.

U should take one variable in your internal table or in structure which
is used for table control fields

If you want to Delete some of the records from Table control
follow this code Create one pushbutton and give Fucnction code to that

Is it possible to display the standard function keys in screen painter

Hi ,
I design a screen in se51 where I use push buttons and input/output buttons and so on in the layout, here in the layout or in my final output screen(when i assign this screen to a transaction) I would like to display other standard keys, ie the function keys and application toolbar items. I would like to know whether there is a possibility to do this , if yes then how?
In a menu painter there is a possibility where I can customize the keys or I can use the standard keys by going to se41 extras->adjust template. Is there similar possibilities in the screen painter.

Display recods when cliking save in screen painter

Hi all,
I am dispalying a table using screen painter.I have 5 records in my internal table.
My need is if i click "save" button in PAI first record should be displayed in the table,
again if i click the "save" button then next record from internal table should be displayed by replacing
first record and so on... until last record it shld be done.
I did it but records are not displayed one by one.
Kindly any one can provide the required solution.

First we declare a global variable type i.
if sy-ucomm = 'SAVE' and glob_var is initial.
describe table int_table lines glob_var.
......count the total number of records
endif.
case sy-ucomm.
when save.
........if u need a particular order like 1,2,3,4,5
........sort internal table as 5,4,3,2,1....
........read the last record => u will read 1
sort int_tab by field descending
read table int_table index glob_var. ( n = 5 )
........u have the required data in int_table's work area ..do the needful
........coding to process it
if glob_var > 0. "if read index is done for index 0 ..shortdump will occur
glob_var = glob_var - 1.
endif.
.........decrement counter so that in next loop we read the nearby record
so everytime u press save...the table index read will be that of the next immediate record
based on the sort order

we want to display an display attribute (0RESP_PERS as of 0COSTCENTER) in the header area of an web application. Therefore I tried to use an text element. I'm able to display the cost center itself, but haven't found the opportunity to display the related responsible person.

i am passing 4 valus in data element values tab, it is passing correctly to the text box, if i am making the text box to ouput only then the values and button for pop up is not comming, what do i need to do if i need values for output only.

In smartform,if I want to according to the different conditions,display one of the serveral different standard Text objects which all maintained in SO10 in a same text element,how to do it?

hello friends,
i hv created text editor in screen painter. when i write some lines in this editor and click on save button. then this text saves temproraly in table. when click on display this text will sees in editor again. upto this it is ok.
but when i run this program again next time, and when i click again on display button i cant get that saved text again. why this happens?
if i want to save this text permenantly then wht's the procedure.
please help me guys.

no u can not save such long data into a table, the solution for this is to create the header-tdname related to the key fields in ur ztable.
like ur ztable has fields f1(key) f2 f3 f4...
now move the value of field f1(key) to header-tdname, so that it can be related to ur ztable field and u can get the same data when u try to retrieve some where else.

In SAPMV56A program when I see the display screen 1025 in screen painter there are some buttons with the
name of structures, for example :

RV56A-ICON_STTEN
the problem is that when I run this program, transaction "VT01N" the text that appears on these buttons is different
the text that is screen painter, there is a transaction where I can define what should be the text that I want
appear for these buttons?

Okay this is an old thread, but as it`s not answered...
I found a way to change the labels of the pushbuttons, as follow:
On SE80:
Program SAPMV56A
Screen 1025
Go to -> Translate
Insert your destination language
Expand the <SRT4> and double click the
SAPMV56A 1025 / VTR
There you can translate the buttons that are used on the screen. this modification is applied to VT01n/VT02n/VT03n.
Some labels on the left part of the screen (not the buttons) get the text from DDIC, for those you`ll have to translate the data element on CMOD.

There is an inclusion in SAP Script. I have written the code in driver program. I need to pass the value to SAP Script in the requested position. But when I go to SE71 > Form Name > Change or Display > MAIN Window > Text Elements > I get a dump error.
